Lovely setting at monkseaton however disappointed with the quality of the Sunday lunches been to cheaper places with better quality should of complained at the time really but it such a lovely little place didn’t want to come across as rude but looking back I should have, beef was tasteless and the veg selection was barely warm.

When we saw the tapas prices, we thought it was quite expensive, but having ordered and tasted it, the food was very good and worth what we paid. Every dish we had tasted very good, so I wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

We visited Allards, Tynemouth on a busy Friday night. I’d made a mess of the booking- oh dear! Clementina was absolutely fantastic. She sorted the. issue I’d made and found us a great table. She then looked after us for the evening and ensured we had a great time. Thank you Clementina!

Went for a treat bill was £89 Bottle of wine £22 4 tapas £34 Flat bread £8 Shots and a beer Still soba and still hungry! Beef was chewy Bau buns were bland Pork was tough

We went to Allards on Remembrance Sunday, so the place was really busy. Despite this, the staff were really friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was exceptional, and the place is dog friendly! Will definitely go again.

My friend booked a table at the front window. We were looked after by Pandora, she knew everything about the menu, and brought us all the food items, cutlery and served wine out in such a smooth manner. Very pleasant afternoon, tapas, wine, coffee and time to chat.

Took the dog for a walk and decided to go to allards for breakfast we hadn’t booked, we where amazing when we turned up and got a table. The staff where amazing really warm, friendly and even got some water for the dog. I had full English choose what you want it was amazing !!! Sausage eggs toast black pudding beans and bacon lush. Thanks very much for looking after us

We booked for lunch time tapas - I would recommend booking as it gets busy. Despite being busy it was comfortable and felt safe with decent distancing and safety measures. My nine-year-old son, wife and I ordered eight tapas, a flatbread and chips. It was way too much - but that’s okay, because they package up your left overs to take home. I couldn’t possibly try to single out any one dish, as every one was more beautifully tasty than the last. Okay, I will try: * Patatas Bravas are very spicy, in a wonderful, creamy Marsala sauce * The scallops are beautiful, but the black-pudding crumble it comes with us to die for * There are large lumps of steak on the flatbread which are melt-in-the-mouth delicious * Paella - just yes. We had the seafood and the meat ones.

We booked a table at Allards lounge for breakfast and we weren’t disappointed. The poached egg was runny & cooked to perfection and their home made chilli sauce is delicious too! Staff were also friendly & attentive.

Made the most of eat out to help out and so pleased we did! Amazing tapas, exemplary service and all for a good price! Loved the brisket board alongside tapas - well worth it for the pickled salad. Lovely selection of food 👍🏼

Unreal tapas. Asian chicken, potatas bravas, salt & pepper chicken, deep fried Brie are so good. Can’t wait to come back.

Visited yesterday with my wife and dog Had a Collingwood pizza, which was a lovely thin crispy base pizza with meat toppings. Was really great, only downside was we went in at 2:30ish and hqad to pay full price. Only £5.95 after 3 The wife had a CBA wrap, consisting of an amazingly well filled wrap of chicken bacon and avocado, woth side of chips. Cant fault the serive received, and they even provided a dog bowl of water and a small jar of snacks for the pooch. Lovely atmosphere, and decor.

Had visitors up from London and Georgia and her team were excellent. Food was great as usual visitors loved the food and the portions. Surf n turf, Camembert, seafood paella, chilli chicken. Allards chunky chips salad, brisket all fabulous. Thank you

Knowing the top quality of this place from previous visit we decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary with family and friends here. There was 18 of which can pose problems for restaurants but not for the staff at Allards. The whole night went without a hick, service and quality was outstanding. Thanks for the efforts to make our celebrations special.

i do really like allards, but i keep getting frustrated at them giving plastic straws out left right and centre. also up your game allards: where are your vegan options??? the planet is dying. do better.

Booked 3 days previous for a table with my girlfriend on a monday night on one of my days off as id heard good reviews . After 3 emails asking to confirm our reservation we arrived for a 730pm booking . The place was completely empty . We confirmed our booking with waiter/barman who said ypur table is by the window but we hqve staff training at 8pm . Your welcome to stay or u can come another night .... that is all we left . Regardless of previous reviews were were just unhappy we wernt informed . Moved on to shampan indian whitley bay which is 1st class for you indian lovers btw . Dissapionted with customer service sorry

Good breakfast, efficient service and friendly staff. Have eaten at Allards in Tynemouth a few times and have always enjoyed it and glad I tried this location too as it's very nice. Good quality food and a good selection available.

For us it’s close to home and consistent. Lovely ambience, good staff and the food is always top notch. I’d say it’s a little overpriced, but probably the going rates for Tynemouth.

Such a beautiful setting and always a good time when either a big group, couple night or family trip. The menus are very tasty whether they be the brunch, lunch or evening selections. Great cocktails and wine menus. Would highly recommend.

Met family in here yesterday afternoon for drinks found a table and sat down went to bar to order drinking and I was asking my table number????? I only want drinks had to wait 20 mins for a pint and wine to come unreal. Customer service was terrible then at 5 the light where turned down why ??? Really bad experience and wouldn’t come back in a rush like when there are better place to drink in tynemouth

Wanted to go somewhere for lunch with my dog. I got a beef brisket sandwich and it was very, very tasty. However, a little bit disappointed as although part of the place is for dogs, my dog wasn’t even allowed on my knee. The waitress told me to put him on the floor and was very apologetic-even said to me that she didn’t agree with it as it was a dog friendly place!

Visited Allards today for the first time with a group of friends, decor is Amazing and the food was great! Thank you to joe and Caley for the brilliant service, we will definitely be returning!

Visitamos Tynemouth a principios de año y nos detuvimos en Allards para el brunch. Mi salmón ahumado, espinacas y aguacate sobre tostadas fue sacado y era salmón (sin fumar), espinacas y aguacate negro. Si un miembro del personal se molestara en comprobar que nuestras comidas estaban bien, iba a llamar la atención sobre el aguacate, ya que era claramente inadecuado para comer. Pero nunca nos registramos y una comida sencilla fue decepcionante. El baño de señoras dejaba mucho que desear también.

Hoy estuve en Allards para el desayuno y las comidas eran increíbles, pero lo que lo hizo más especial fue el personal, entré en contacto con Sophie y Pandy. Ambos muy conocedores, amables, accesibles y dirían personalmente que necesitan ser agradecidos y serían la razón principal por la que regresaría. El único fallo sería el inodoro no practicado: mientras usa el urinario, puede ver a las personas que usan el retrete a través de la puerta.

Después de un largo paseo, mi compañero y yo fuimos a allards. Me senté con mi perro pequeño en mi rodilla. El gerente se me acercó y me pidió que la bajara para proteger las fundas del asiento (el perro había estado sobre mi rodilla, NO el asiento). Hice lo que me pidió y, en consecuencia, el perro lloró todo el rato. No me habría importado mucho si mi compañero no hubiera estado en el bar en el proceso de gastar 50 platos en x 5 tapas, que no eran más que aceptables. La hostilidad del gerente contaminó el tiempo que pasamos allí. No "perro amigable" en absoluto. Comida - media.

Visitamos aquí con mi hijo y su esposa quienes están visitando el área. Tuve mi sándwich tostado normal, lo disfruté mucho. Algunos lugares es solo pan caliente no tostado. Esto fue tostada. Salchichas encantadoras, morcillas negras geniales y champiñones sabrosos. Todos disfrutaron de su comida, huevos, papas fritas, tocino todo muy bien.

Four of us had an evening meal. The place is a delight to sit in, beautiful surroundings. 3 had sea bass and 1 had a ribeye steak. It was beautifully presented and there was plenty of food.

Came here for a evening meal last week excellent venue we were to late to eat in the bar but was able to get in to the restaurant side. I went for the rib eye very good well presented my wife had three tapes prawns, meat balls and patatas bravas. I did try them they were very good but a little to spicy prawns.

Popped in for Breakfast which was nice and quite different from the normal fayre. Coffee was delicious and the prices very reasonable. Only disappointment was the tables are quite close and we ended up next to a family with whining a brat and they were so middle class that they were trying to negotiate with a spoiled kid ! No fault of the restaurant but they need more space between tables as sharing breakfast with other peoples kids is not my thing.

We called in a few times during our stay and the place is very popular, buzzing and friendly. Outside seating makes for a great atmosphere on sunny days.

I visited 18 months ago & just loved the paella. In fact it was so good, the next time I was in the area I returned to have it again. It didn't disappoint.

After a great walk around Tynemouth and the beach we called into Allards for a drink but we had a look at the menu and deceided to order some tappas.that turned out to be a great decision.There are plenty to choose from and the four we chose were absolutely delicious.The portion sizes were as good as the quality.The staff were very friendly and efficient.Highly recommended.

Fab restaurant with a great location in Tynemouth. I always get mussels and chips and they have always been amazing the chips being 'proper' chips. Definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting tynemouth.

Visited as recommended but unfortunately we didn't have the best experience. Quite easily the greasiest chips I've had in a long while, burger was burnt to a crisp on the outside and then nearly raw in the middle and also bland.

First time I've been to Tynemouth and we had a fantastic evening at Allards, Food was amazing, service by Aimme was brilliant , this place has a lovely atmosphere well worth a visit.

I can’t recommend this place enough! The staff are absolutely lovely and will do anything to make your visit a good one. Especially Pandy who is just amazing and so friendly and accommodating! The food is always fab and the cocktails are out of this world!

A group of 10 of us went to Allards on a sunday evening. Food was fantastic i ordered the paella which was like a little bit of spain on the northeast coast. Compliments to the chef Connor. We also had many cocktails between us which we also fantasic. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. 10/10 and we will be back soon.

Went for lunch, but on arriving at 11.40am we were told the lunch menu wasn't available til around 12.10pm. That was fine, but we were disappointed to find that when we ordered coffees to put us on until the lunch menu was available, a particularly unhelpful lad at the bar said we couldn't start a 'tab' - he said we had to pay for the coffees then come back and pay again for lunch! Not impressed at all! More impressed by subsequent service and food.

Visited midweek with friends for celebratory meal. Decided to have the tapas, which was fantastic. Really tasty and great to add in flatbreads. Fab service from Ross/Russ (very tall guy), stayed gossiping round the table till closing time. Great food and service.

Excellent service apart from the fact that the meatballs we ordered came with a topping of grated cheese. When we stated that, we couldn't have cheese the waitress said she would scrape it off! We feel they should have replaced the dish

Just returning home after a visit to Newcastle to visit my parents, during which we booked Allards Lounge in Tynemouth. An excellent establishment just around the corner from my patents house. We were looked after by Pandy during our visit and could not have been happier. The whole family opted for a large selection of delicious Tapas washed down with a couple of bottles of wine. Was especially impressed with their chicken wings....which were canny massive! Equally impressed with all the other dishes and the home made cakes. Cannot recommend enough how much a visit to this charming establishment is worth your time

Love the atmosphere and ambience here and staff very friendly and efficient. Food is lovely. We shared 5 tapas dishes which was plenty for the two of us. Would recommend the chicken & chorizo paella and the pulled pork; delicious....although all 5 dishes were great.

Second time we've been here for a coffee. The atmosphere is relaxed, and it feels cosy even if the weather is awful outside! The coffee is relatively good, and the staff are friendly. We keep meaning to come when we want to eat as the various deals are always tempting, and the food always looks good! We will be back again, and hopefully will be able to try some more!

i recently took a stroll down tynemouth on this fine afternoon and stumbled across allard's lounge , instantly the name stood out to me as a well known place in tynemouth as all my friends recommended here however i never had chance togo in , me and my partner went in to find service at the highest level , friendly staff and great priced high quality food, they have just bagged a regular it was delish ,. !! highly recommend this place./

I am very pleased to say that our visit to Allards Lounge was excellent all round,very friendly staff - nothing was a problem and we had a few requests.All the family enjoyed the food which I must say was cooked to profection and presentation was second to none, the atmosphere was great and every body was smiling and enjoying them selves I for one will be back to try something different next time,so over all if your looking for a relaxing great night then I would highly recommend Allards.

As we were at the coast we decided we wanted fish and chips for lunch. Unfortunately our favourite restaurant, Longsands fish kitchen, was fully booked we decided to try Allards as it had a welcoming exterior. Upon entering the building and decor was lovely, however the food was not! We ordered 3 fish and chips. When it arrived, it looked rather appetizing however upon eating, the fish and batter was soggy and some of the chips were quite hard. The tartare sauce just tasted of mayonnaise. At £9.75 each, we were very dissapointed and won't be returning.

4 of us booked and ate on a lovely summers night. We had a range of meals to include paella, mussels and lamb. All were excellent washed down with delicious mojitos, wine and Sols.Its beautifully decorated, funky and stylish. It was fully booked but the service was excellent.Good value for money for a great evening.

Bitterly disappointed with the food this evening! Bland and the medium steak on the platter over cooked and chewy! Amongst other things the belly pork was overdone and greasy! On advising not one but 2 members of staff we werent happy with the food! Heads bowed and sorry! No management apology at all! My Son and his new Wife had just returned from honeymoon and this was meant to be a special meal before they return to work 2moro! To be honest I would have enjoyed a KFC more Sorry but true! It also but a dampner on the whole evening! I had a poor meal with friens a while ago and thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt as we all have off days! WIsh we had gone elsewhere!

If you want to share your meal with dogs this is the place to be. No wonder the place was nearly empty when all other restaurants in the village were busy. Barking dogs roaming the lounge are not conducive to diners wanting a quiet drink or dinner in hygienic surroundings so beware.

A Fathers Day Sunday lunch for us with the family.....Pleasant surroundings and the place is tastefully decorated.After ordering, a random bowl of chips appeared and sat on the table for 10-15 minutes until a member of staff arrived to take it away, the staff then debated among themselves how it had came to be there near the bar area.Once the main courses arrived, one of our party was left without hers. On asking, this took some time to arrive, by which time the rest of us had finished. Spoilt things a bit, but the food was nice.The errant meal was deducted from the bill as were the drinks, which was appreciated, but all in all, as there weren't that many people in the place at the time, it was hard to understand how such simple mistakes could've been made in the first place.Perhaps different on another day.....

We visited allards for brunch with our elderly grandmother. It had such a perfect surroundings and the food was amazing! We will certainly be back! Maybe next time to try the tapas menu

I visited Allards for the first time and was very impressed. Both the food and the cocktails were amazing and our night was made even better by the fantastic service. Our waitress, Phoebe, was lovely and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for her even though the restaurant was busy. She made sure we had a great time and we will definitely be coming back!

ordered an array of tapas. food quality was 'OK' !! i expected a lot more. some dishes bland, chorizo not cooked enough, halloumi was rubbery and barely cooked. garlic sauce was like water. the list goes on. only reason i'm giving 2 stars is because the decor and service is spot on. also overpriced compared to local competition. disappointed but not worried as iv yet to be let down at the quay tap house in north shields.

Russ and his colleague were friendly,patient and professional.The food was excellent - probably the tastiest my Dutch wife and myself have had for quite awhile. Highly recommended!

Visited allards again last night, meal was brilliant as usual, and loads on plate, atmosphere great, staff very helpful and friendly, meal served very quick, our waitress was called Megan she was brilliant couldn't do enough for us, sent compliments to chef who was apparently called mark, can't recommend this restaurant enough

Great selection of food. Ice cold moretti and fantastic staff in a beautifully decorated bar. Superb selection of tapas in the bar area and full menu in the adjoining restaraunt. Well worth a visit

Visited Allards for the first time yesterday. The food was Excellent and the staff made us feel welcome. Great decor and all round nice place. Would highly recommend if you're in Tynemouth and will definitely be going back.

I love going to Allards for breakfast but one day it's brilliant and fresh.... a few days later it was awful microwaved sausage hard bacon and coffee was cold. I blame the staff it seems like they don't care if people come back or not. You need good management and unfortunately young lads with no clue just doesn't work!! Wish it was different

We went here for only drinks and cakes. The service was nice and friendly and the cakes were excellent. we also had some cocktails and they were very good. Overall good place and friendly staff

Lovely night at Allards for a birthday tea for my daughter. Food was lovely and the service from our waitress Kimberley was brilliant, she had our drinks sorted and nothing was a task. The restaurant was busy but we all got our food together and there were 10 of us. Would definitely return again.

We have always loved this place but our visit yesterday was very disappointing. Although the place wasn't full it was fairly busy. Service was slow and not the best. The waiter spilt one of our coffees into the saucer and actually said 'oh sorry'. He did nothing to mop it up or to help us do so. But the food was the truly disappointing aspect. We had fish and chips which were bland, tasteless with the batter on the fish barely cooked at all. We won't be going back for food.

Lovely location, fab staff and amazing food!We visited for my Dads birthday and couldn't have had better service. Would highly recommend the prawns in the tapas they were delicious and that's coming from somebody who isn't normally a seafood person.

Popped in for a quick drink and some food. Service was good and the food and drinks came quickly. We shared the paella which came with chips and salad, was really yummy. The menu has a good selection and so good that everything is listed as "dairy free" or " gluten free" etc. For someone like me who is dairy free, eating out can be a challenge so this made it so much easier to choose without bothering the server with endless questions! Will definitely be back here again and would recommend.

We visited Allard's last night, 25th February for my birthday night out. Very much looking forward to it as have always had very positive experiences in the past with breakfasts and lunch. Unfortunately last night was different. Three of us had the sirloin steak, one rare, medium and well done. The other had the meat platter. All three steaks were cooked to order however, they were all extremely tough and served in high sided plates that made it even more difficult. The meat platter came to the table burnt black. The service was lacking, staff just hanging around the bar. My husband waited 20 minutes for his beer, he ended up going to the bar to get it himself. The bill came to £126 which we would have normally been more than happy to have paid, but feel we have thrown our money away. Very very disappointing birthday meal.

Popped in for a coffee and cake in the afternoon and was nice. Had to sit outside but the heat lamps were very effective so didn't feel too cold.

Visited on Sunday - 19th. Booked quite late on but managed to get a table with no issues. Arrived and the lady (red hair) who greeted us couldn't be more helpful! She really welcomed us and made us feel welcome. Ordered drinks and food no problem - they had ran out of a few dishes but nothing major but this was due to it being very very busy! (Was a lovely day.) anyway, food came and it was just fantastic! Potatas bravas is just unreal - flatbread is amazing! Always recommend this over a popular tapas bar down the road - always say to come to allards instead! Will be back!

I used to visit allards regularly as it was small, different and certainly quirky. The menu has not changed much, but hey have extended the restaurant.It is busier than ever and the ambiance has changed.Proper tables have replaced small stools and odd chairs.While it's still nice and the food is ok, it's not the same, and the originality has gone.Staff are friendly but not very prompt and service can be a bit slow.On the plus side it's still nice on a sunny day and it's dog friendly which is a big plus!I'd not advise people not to give it aGo however as everywhere has off days and I used to love this place. The menu is a bit different to usual tapas but also serves bar food which is good. Price is good especially for location, and decor remains lovely. I guess all in all it's average compared to what I would have previously rated it and in comparison to other restaurants and bars nearby.

Tried the new restaurant for food, first and last time we would eat here. Cramped table, really poor service and the food wasnt great, when it all eventually got to us.

Called in here with friends over the weekend and decided to try the afternoon tea. The food was super and looked and tasted great. Sadly, it was the service that let it down! We waited ages to give a drinks order, then the wrong drinks came (took a while to then get the right drinks) and the service was rather clumsy. Staff didn't know what was included with the afternoon tea and what hot drinks were included, so it was a bit of gamble but definitely paid off. The atmosphere was nice, comfortable setting and overall a pleasant visit. I would return again and hope the serving staff are on slightly better form!

A nice welcome on arrival had a lovely seat by the window. There was 5 of us, 4 of us it was our first time visit, so we let our friend do the ordering of our tapas. Very nice it all was. Lovely decor and friendly staff.

We were out for tea and decided to go to Allards, there were3 of us so we decided on the tapas deal. We made a good selection and they were gorgeous and we were served by Rebecca who was fantastic, we'll be back !

Atmosphere great, decor plush. The menu was interesting and we all chose breakfast meals BUT the food took 20 minutes (for poached eggs etc not a full cooked meal) and the food wasn't that hot. Disappointing but the friends we were with said they've never waited that long. Dogs also allowed in 'bar' part so useful for dog walkers.

Visited Allards the other had a steak and I requested it cooked medium rare and it arrived covered in blood, I was massively disappointed. Also I felt the waiter was being very blunt with me, not the high levels of service I expected. On top of this I felt my house lager tasted very flat and just like any ordinary lager. Will not be visiting again any time soon

Me and my Girlfriend came here for some lunch with my sister who was visiting from Leeds.We had four tapas and one of the sharing breads whilst my sister ordered the fish and chips.All our food was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The surroundings too were chic and relaxing, and the staff were quite friendly.Would definitely recommend anyone come here for lunch or dinner.

Had lunch here yesterday..FANTASTIC. Really friendly staff especially gentle giant Russell and Stuart. Had the sharing paella and side of chicken wings. Blooming gorgeous and really generous portions. Highly recommend this little gem. We will return soon.

I went to Allards with my family for a meal to celebrate a birthday. I had a chicken burger and it was amazing, I feel as though this was great value for money. The decor gives the restaurant a nice atmosphere, and our waitress, Ellen was exceptionally polite.

We have been here twice this week, once fir breakfast and once for lunchThe menus for both sittings are very good and inventive. Unfortunately the poached eggs I had for breakfast were hard boiled and for some strange reason a toasted tea cake arrived with a garnish if ocean shoots!That said the rest of the party were happy with the foodThe lunchtime menu is extensive and the flat breads with Gorgonzola, pear and pecan nuts and salmon with cream cheese pesto and capers were well receivedThe staff are all very polite and engaging, particularly Pandy who served us on both occasionsA love,y comfortable place to dine and relax, child friendly too!

Called in to Allards for breakfast. The young lady introduced herself as Helen, she was very polite and eager to help.We placed our order and were seated, a lovely young man named Owen came with the drinks and food.He was polite and happy to help, the food came quickly and the breakfast's were lovely we had a fantastic time, all in all lovely decor,excellent staff and great food will definitely be back.

I popped into Allard's last week with some business friends . We went for lunch but ended up extending our visit. Loved the ambience and the atmosphere . The service was fantastic ! A really friendly and efficient member of staff looked after us throughout ! (Thanks Pandora) if that's her real name lol.Loved the choice on offer and it did not disappoint . Great experience and we will be back again soon
