I was visiting Macclesfield this week on a business trip and had The Herbivore (vegan-friendly) breakfast here. It was so tasty that I returned the next day and had it again. Staff are wonderful too, highly recommend.

All Things Nice is a lovely cafe in Macclesfield, which at first sight may only seem like a small bakery/coffee shop, but after a step inside unfolds to become a lovely cafe/restaurant for a bite to eat, a good coffee and good times with friends. We came by on a Friday and were looking for a quick coffee on the go, but after stepping inside decided to stay for a pastry and a coffee. Inside there is plenty of seating. All Things Nice has a very warm atmosphere which is provided by cozy, rustical, wooden design of the place with plenty of attention to detail to make you feel well. Food was delicious. Menu had plenty to offer, but we settled on a pistachio croissant and a warm sausage role, which came with a nice little salad and some of the best pickled onions ever. Both were very good and are a definite recommendation if you have a small appetite or want something to go. Service was friendly and quick. We were seated nicely next to the open coffee bar and served quickly too. No complaints on that end. Atmosphere was good too. As mentioned previously very nice vibe and decoration, though the place was full and it got quite loud at times. A definite recommendation to anybody. If you're alone, with friends or with family and a party of any size, this is a place you can rely on for good food and nice coffee.

Very popular and busy cafe selling a wide range and an interesting selection of very tasty sandwiches on different types of bread - be warned, unless you have hollow legs, the sandwiches are huge and would serve two. We went on the day of the Treacle Market so food wait times were about 30 mins, which we were warned about in advance. The speciality hot chocolates are well worth a try.

Came for brunch with the girls and my food didn’t arrive. They told me it would be 10 mins as they only had one chef, but lots of other food came out while I waited. At the point them came to clear my friends plates they said it would be a few more mins, so I told them not to bother. Mistakes happen, I understand, but there was barely even an apology. I left starving and went for food elsewhere. Very disappointing!

Our first visit was during Brunch and we didn’t have the best experience - we felt rushed to eat up and give up our seats. The waitress was quite pushy with this, giving us our bill before we finished eating. We would’ve stayed for longer and ordered more drinks otherwise. We thought we’d give it another try and on the second visit, we went a bit later and had a much better experience. The sandwiches were huge and great value for money. The staff were really pleasant and not as rushed off their feet. The atmosphere of the cafe is nice, cozy & comfortable. The music can be a little loud. Would recommend coming during quieter hours for the best experience.

Really disappointed. I was in Macclesfield for a course and popped in as the deli counter caught my eye as I walked past. However nobody serving. I was a little concerned at all the pastries on show for people to just pick up. Put me off a little bit. However once the waitress came over from the back corner (she was nibbling away at a snack) I decided to choose a scotch egg. A personal favourite. In fairness she was really polite and courteous. Sadly the scotch egg was dreadful. The paper bag was saturated in grease in minutes and this was a cold item. The coating was quite tough and the egg seemed to have shrivelled a bit inside and I got a bit worried about its freshness so after a bite or two I threw it away.

Lovely staff and building, but lack lustre food with issues from the get go. Firstly we had to return a pot of tea as the milk provided had turned and produced large white floating lumps. Secondly my breakfast has a series of issues, hard bacon, rock solid toast and a black pudding with the consistency of sand, extremely disappointing and left mostly uneaten. Although and I will happily confirm the sausages were beyond excellent! The steak and eggs ordered by my wife were ok, but I wouldn’t describe it as a steak more of a sliver of beef, very disappointing. Lastly and only a minor point but the glass I was given for my water had a slight white powdery residue in it which I suspect came from the dish washer, not the end of the world but added to all the other issues it just made me sad. Again I can’t fault the serving staff as they were lovely and friendly dealing with our issues and those of other patrons visiting at the time, bravo to you for keeping a warm smile and a happy demeanour!

Coffee arrived promptly. Toast arrived 20 minutes later when I asked someone where it was. It arrived stone cold. Not allowed 1 piece of toast - left the unwanted slice to be thrown away. Refused service after letting them know I have a nut allergy. I waited over half an hour for a table only to be told when I eventually had my order taken which was embarrassing. This information was not put on the menu, door of the shop or their website. I have never had this problem elsewhere even in other small bakeries. Food allergies are considered physical disabilities so this is discrimination. They appear to have completely misunderstood the food standards agency guidelines on avoiding allergen cross contamination.

First time eating here, all looks very nice inside and outside the cafe. Unfortunately the quality of the food and the price lets it down. Extremely overpriced for what you get. Staff are very friendly. We placed our order and the food came out within about 10mins and was cold so food is clearly not cooked to order. Very disappointing, I think if you’re expected to pay nearly £15 for a breakfast it should be cooked fresh. Coffee was nice, would go in for a coffee again but won’t be buying food from here again.

The food here is OK but the portions are small and the price is high. I had potato cakes which seemed frozen and watery. What sets it apart is the literally surly attitude of some staff, not to mention the scruffy clothes they wore. Some people ought not to be in hospitality, or need to be properly trained. If you want a better, reasonably priced meal with professional level, plesaant service, go to Plums Kitchen or Nomas nearby.

I have given one star for atmosphere. The whole time, we were there today, Sunday. At the back of the cafe, someone had brought a dog . It barked and barked. Really loud, echoing around the long room. It never stopped well for half a minute now and then. Every one near me were commenting on how noisy and loud bark it was. I mean a really loud bark. We there for an hr and more or less barked off and on. Sorry, servers, but someone should have asked them to take the dog, perhaps to the outside table. If we had not ordered, we would have left. Gave me a headache. The manager could not have been more aware of the barking as it did this when the staff took orders to the back of the room where the dog was. Expensive headache, never again. Really inconsiderate dog owners. Staying at least an hr if not longer!!!

Service was good enough, fairly friendly. Food was really poor and expensive. I had bacon on pancakes, 2 small bits of overdone bacon for around £11.50. My partner had the veggie breakfast, they forgot the poached eggs, when we asked for them they came out pretty quickly but clearly had been poached for about 10 minutes because the yolk was powder. Drinks were really expensive £3.50 for a small bottle of coke, where in other places it's usually about £2. They don't do juice/smoothies but they do strange "hair of the dog" brunch cocktails. I don't get how this place is still going. Massively overpriced and the food was really, really poor. Unfortunately I wont be going again.

We visited the Wizard Tea Rooms while attending a corporate volunteering day at Alderley Edge National Trust Park, and what a treat the Tea Rooms were! From start to finish, my colleague and I had easy communication with the lovely ladies who run the tea rooms - Harriet and Rachel. They provided us with the menu and prices in advance of the day, and we decided to opt for teas and coffees in the morning, soup and sandwiches for lunch, and another round of teas of coffees after lunch for our group of 26. One week on and I'm still talking about the delicious mushroom and garlic soup, cheese and beetroot sandwiches, BLTs and egg mayo sandwiches! We felt everything was reasonably priced, and the ladies took great care of us on the day -nothing was too much trouble. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Wizard Tea Rooms to friends and family, or corporate companies. In fact, I will be back to visit with my kids and dog for an ice cream (yes they do doggy ice cream too!) Also - the venue itself is gorgeous - seating indoors (all 26 fit inside), but plenty outside too. Really charming old-world feel inside the tea room which we all loved. Many thanks to the wonderful staff for looking after us so well - Alison and James.
