Alfreds Bar & Dine in Cheshire East

First time we have ordered a meal from here, very surprised at the size and quality of the lunch meal…absolutely stuffed….no more room for a beer 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

We had a warm welcome and great service at Alfred’s on a Sunday afternoon. It was a pleasure to be there and we will return when we are next in Macclesfield.

So nice to be in here this pm to see the respect shown by the staff to a regular who recently passed. His pint was placed on his table with a nice reserved sign. The staff here go far and beyond and one can't ask for more. Well done to Louise and her staff

Trawling a few bars around Park Green and fancied a cocktail. Only really one place in the vicinity, the place may have changed hands a number of times over the years but the cocktails and the deals have always been very good. Early Saturday evening and a great atmosphere. Busy at the bar but staff working hard and friendly service. Two very enjoyable Apple Pie Zombies for £12, why wouldn't you?

Do not have the lasagne. Home cooked don't think so. Tastles. Dry as a nuns crutch. Won't be going back.

Booked a table for dinner they took the booking then when we arrived told us they was no longer serving food at the time completely unprofessional could of rang booked hours in advance won't go there again

Decent pub grub selection at a mid afternoon lunch with friends. I had the steak pie and chips and my friends had the spare ribs and fish pie. All the food was excellent and deserts were good too. Service was prompt, friendly and meal was reasonably priced.

Visited 3 times on our weekend visit to see friends. Warm friendly atmosphere and staff. Good choice of lagers. Outside seating available. Heard the food was excellent although didn’t have any. Recommend.

Always go to Alfreds for a lunch when we're in town. Good choice of beers and wines. Staff always polite and efficient. Atmosphere is great. VFM is spot on, a large ciabatta sandwich (Fish fingers re commended) and fat fries for under a tenner. Recommended.

I love this place. The manager runs a tight ship and the staff are allways smiling friendly and attentive.It has nice to be able to see staff start as part-time barstaff and to be encouraged and supported to do courses within Hydes and is now a deputy manager. The food is always good and a good selection to cover all wether in for a snack or a full meal. A good range of drinks and allways cocktails on offers. Pity they don't open earlier for brunch could show a couple of places close by how it's done !! Well done to all who work there and highly recommend

This establishment has changed hands more than my underwear…(daily perhaps twice lol)…I have seen the changes in the beer…it has now gone funky IPA…this is disgusting!!!! Why oh why do we not have a proper real ale or bitter?????? Real ale is making a come back…trying to appeal to the younger element??? Not!!! Improve your ales for me or I will never come back!!!!! And I will also tell others not to come back!!!

Fabulous place! The staff are so nice and accommodating. They are always so chatty and friendly. We come here loads and never have any issues. So safe for everyone. Family friendly and so helpful with me due to my autism and accommodate us everytime. The menu is amazing and the cocktails are divine! Best bar in Macc!

The staff allways look after you no matter how busy they are allwats make roo. For me. Allways looked after and not judged

Came in for something to eat with my husband for brunch he wanted something not on the menu and they were extremely accommodating. We are becoming fast regulars as the staff and service are excellent would definitely recommend.

Bouncer 3/2/23 horrendous attitude from bouncer, bar staff & obviously regulars..homophobic do not enter this place. We asked bar staff if ok to go outside just before closing have a cigarette & come back. Ok they said. Got outside & was vebally abused from bouncer & a regular for holding drink & having a smoke..horrendous attitude from alll the staff & we were just having a nice night.. assaulted by the bouncer later just because he wanted to get home & very clearly homophobic & all the staff backed him up..horrendous! Have video evidence if owners would like to see but as a manager for virgin Atlantic& Avanti trains I have never experienced such horrendous attitude from all the staff. To be assaulted, punched pushed to the ground by a bouncer who thinks I actually deserved this as well as the few ‘regulars’ that thought this acceptable, approach was disheartening & quite frankly disgusting behaviour in 2023! Avoid @ all costs in Macclesfield @ & please do not give them your custom! I want to cry I’m so upset & even worse were the group of ‘regulars ‘ allowed to remain inside after closing & who condoned this disgusting behaviour ! Shame on you whoever you all were!

Good atmosphere but we came here to eat and although the food was served in a timely manner the Lasagna was disappointing. The portion was small, overcooked and appeared almost meat free. The side salad was ok. The chilli was adequate with the addition of hot sauce. The Hyde’s beer was fine but unremarkable.

I visit here regularly and can honestly say the staff are always attentive and welcoming no matter how busy they are. Louise ( the manager) runs a good team though she would be lost without the likes of Holly one of her duty managers who is an absolute gem and knows exactly what her customers want and is able to keep àn eye on all. Well done to all always a pleasure to visit
