Alexander's Cafe in Pembrokeshire

Lovely little cafe. beautiful food very friendly staff Samantha was our waitress she was a delight. Would recommend the home made cakes made by Fiona they are lush.

My wife and I popped in here for a quick lunch in February 2020. We always like the sandwiches on offer from Samuel's downstairs and were just as impressed with the paninis and chocolate muffin served upstairs at Alexander's. The lady who was working greeted us and served us very promptly. The hot chocolate and milky coffee were both nice. If I have one tiny criticism, it is that the coleslaw was a little runny for my taste, as I like it very creamy. Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch and would pop in here again for something similar.

This cafe serve nice food freindly staff but for the amount of food you get it is very overpriced I will still go there but less often

Friendly staff who were very welcoming. Very quick service. Good gluten free options and generous filling in jacket potato. Quite steep stairs to access cafe so not accessible to everyone.

Been here a few times this year and Last. Always excellent service and lovely tasty food. Really nice staff and the place is spotless. I fully recommend without question.

Although a somewhat limited lunch menu, for what it lacks is more than made up for with the quality of the food. The coffee is excellent as well. The staff are quite friendly and helpful.

Discovered this little cafe on a wet lunchtime. Service was quick and friendly and the food was delicious. I had a coronation chicken wrap with salad and homemade coleslaw. Really tasty. The coronation chicken had a kick and real flavour. The banana milkshake with icecream was gorgeous. Definitely recommend this cafe.

A wet lunchtime, we happened upon this super wee cafe. It is situated on the first floor. The staff were so nice and friendly, service was quick... two tables were put together for us quickly and no fuss.The whole cafe was spotlessly clean..... the toilet was the cleanest I have ever seen It a cafe, no frills or fancy but good food, very clean and wonderful service

My wife and I discovered this little gem after several disappointing meals at the Old Bridge Cafe. We've never yet been disappointed. Friendly table service, and a great choice of meals on the menu. Although not a big place, it is almost always full. Due to the steep stairs, it is not wheelchair friendly and may cause problems for people with mobility issues, but that said, it's definitely the only place in Harford that I would wish to have lunch out. Excellent service, and top quality food.

Popped in for lunch, jacket potatoes all-round for 3. Immaculately presented, freshly baked, friendly service and will definitely be back for another potato soon.

First impressions ...clean and welcoming. We were greeted on arrival and before long our orders were taken . Panini toasted sandwich with chips and tea for two. Doesn't sound like haute cuisine but cooked to perfection, delicious and brought to the table with a smile.

Staff are great with fast service. I had a jacket potato with which was scoop of tuna in a jacket very much like a scoop of ice cream! and an iceberg lettuce leaf with 2 slices of tomato.poor value for the price a little more effort needed at the price of,£5.95!

This is my go to cafe in Haverfordwest. It is always clean and welcoming and the food is fabulous and they always have a specials board. What I love is how they cater for vegetarians, there are always really good options and the chips are sooooo good!! The staff are super friendly and helpful.

The food here is excellent as are the staff. They offer excellent tabel service. The only downside is that the restaurant is at the top of some steep stairs

Good service in a nice clean cafe. Nice lunch off a basic menu: potatoes, sandwiches, toasties etc. Access up difficult stairs would be my only criticism.

Really friendly service and a decent lunch at reasonable price. Biggest problem is the long steep stairs which are a struggle for anyone with mobility problems. Lovely jacket potato with prawns; OK toastie with cheese and tomatoes; excellent coffee.

Popped in here today for a light lunch, after visiting the dentist. Nice and clean, small and only a few tables. Made welcome. We ordered the Panini's with Chips and Cappuccino coffee each. As it was chilly out, the hot coffee was most welcome. Chips chunky, bacon crisp and not too much cheese in the panini. Only downside for me was that they put red onion in the coleslaw, and I cannot eat red onion as I have IBS, so had to pick it out, but the coleslaw was delicious! The puddings also look good, will try the Apple and Blackberry Crumble next time (when its treat day). Def recommend and will eat here again, when in the area. Most enjoyable!

Went in for lunch today, if I am honest I did not expect much but I was so surprised. It is immaculate, clean and the staff were so very helpful! The café is a little small but it felt just right. We each had a coffee and panini. the food was well presented and the portions were perfectly sized. Will be going back and the only reason I have given 5 stars is that I cannot give it six - outstanding

My wife and I called in on the off chance whist wandering through Haverfordwest.

This first floor cafe serves cooked breakfasts up until noon, but then focuses on sandwiches/baguettes and toasties. A good range of fillings on offer, along with well-cooked chips and a decent (but small) salad. Good range of teas and other drinks as well.

We had sandwiches and jackets. Very good. Great chips. Nice staff. Would return if ever in town. Great mocha

A nice place for a sandwich/wrap/spud lunch. Clean premises with friendly staff and reasonable prices. Access awkward up steep stairs with no disabled access.

Called in café during half term on Saturday ordered sandwiches plain ham and we had tuna mayo with red onion crisps and coleslaw very nice with a nice cup of tea recommend this café 100 per cent.

Café encantador y acogedor en el centro de la ciudad. Los niños y mucha variedad para el almuerzo - paninis, patatas, etc. chaqueta A un precio muy razonable. El Strawberry batidos son increíbles! ! Volveremos!

Only stopped for coffee and cake but they were excellent. Very clean and tidy, very good service, very friendly approachable staff. A cafe packed in the middle of January must be doing something right. I shall return for something more substantial.

Popped in twice during a short break in Wales and on both occasions the service was prompt and friendly and the food was very good. Great stop when shopping in town

We only stopped by for a coffee and cake whilst on holiday but the service was efficient and pleasant and the quality of the food good.

A very nice but small cafe.The service was excellent with well cooked and well presented food.The only downsides is that it is very popular with locals and fills up quickly and has steep stairs to gain entry which stops it being disabled friendly.

They serve lovely sandwiches and I can recommend the Coronation Chicken Wrap! The place is clean and bright but it is upstairs (there is a take away down stairs)

An excellent find in the middle of this ancient town.The restaurant is extremely clean and welcoming. However, the downside is that it is on the upper floor of the delicatessen.The service is superb and welcoming and the food was fresh, tasty and individually prepared.Apart from being on the 1st floor the restaurant is well known by locals and the establishment fills up very quickly.

Me and my partner was shopping in Haverfordwest and stummbled apon this little cafe as a chef I enjoy trying new places a lot. The customer service was excellent and the coffee was okay. But was all down hill from that. The beef lasagne was just a pool of grease and my partners prawn Marie rose seemed it was on the edge of going off. And was well over priced.

Love this place! Service excellent with such friendly staff. Food lovely. Never wait long. Would highly reccommend. Coming back tomorrow actually!

Visited at about 12.15, wasn't too busy. Restaurant is upstairs, but there was plenty of room to leave the pushchair downstairs. Food was simple but really nice (jacket potatoes, paninis, that sort of thing), and arrived in about 10 minutes or so, really quick. The staff were really, really friendly, particularly to our toddler, and made us feel at home. Would definitely go back if I was in the area.

Went here for lunch on satarday 27 June the food is of a very good quality the staff are good and friendly noting to much trouble for them

Doing a little pre holiday shopping in Haverfordwest,felt peckish.Popped in to Alexanders,it was busy but one table free.Soon ordered and after ten minutes or so our coffees and Panini's arrived...nice simple lunch...good service..very clean and tidy place to eat.DELICIOUS....Nothing more to say!!!

On the rare occasions we do venter into our local town this is always the place we stop for a quick drink or bight to eat. Nice simple menu, value for money, grest service and the food is grand. Well done for being consistently good for goodness knows how long.

A basic but nice menu: Potatoes, salads, sandwiches etc. Good value and nicely presented. Friendly staff. Two problems: sometimes it's difficult to get a table and the long steep stairs!

My daughter an do often go here for lunch,the staff are excellent and very attentive,. Good range of lunch choices, what more can you ask for! Well recommended.

Popped in here with our friends and their children. Very friendly and welcoming place. Good selection of drinks. The baguettes in the take away section are great.

Have visited on a number of occasions and each time have had a good quality lunchtime snack - varied menus and good value. Small restaurant so arrive early for lunch.

This Cafe is above the wonderful sandwich bar. I've always found the staff very friendly and most helpful if you want to tweak your meal eg. add or leave something off. Bright and clean place to have a break in the town centre

Slow beyond slow. Waited 10 minutes for coffee when there were only 4 tables occupied.The food that came out looked no different to what you could knock up at home. Hence, didn't eat there.

We love this place and visit all the time. The food is always fab. The service is excellent. Nothing negative to say, but they do not accept card payments, so remember cash!

Enjoyed eating lunch here. Good food and prompt service. Had a toasted Panini and a medium size bowl of chips which set me back £6. Well worth a visit!

This is a great little cafe. They do fresh hot and cold food all day. Give it a go....you'll like it!
