Cracking little ale pub. Now I've found it, shall be a regular visitor. Not much to look at from the outside but a cosy place on the inside

We have visited several times before but last Saturday there was an issue with the till so we waited patiently for 5 minutes. The bar staff said they could not take an order without the till being online. I suggested we pay cash, they add up the drinks with a pen and paper and then when the till is back online they can upload our order. The female staff member looked at me like I had suggested free drinks on the house and said no orders were possible without the till. We waited another 5 minutes and were then told it wouldn't be possible to have a drink. Our party of 4 plus several other customers left feeling pretty bemused. I am writing this review because as a business owner I'd be pretty upset if my staff turned away customers when there was a simple solution.

Very friendly and service with a smile. Treats for the dog and a fantastic selection of beers. Cocktails for those who don't fancy beer. Very quiet on a Sunday lunch time, but great atmosphere at other times.

Was gasping for a pint after walking from the city centre on a hot day via canals, cycle paths, and Sutton Park, seeing ne'er a pub on the way, more's the pity. I wouldn't say they had much ale variety on here, but I sank several Butty Bachs, which is the right sort of session ale for an afternoon. I was the only customer for most of the time, so I thought I was going to miss out on the conviviality micro pubs are designed for. But it so happened that the barman was a friendly and interesting young guy, who was studying journalism at university in the city, which made an interesting topic of conversation. He gave me his time--not from behind the bar but round the front, and I appreciated that. The tables were all reserved for a Bingo session later, so I presume the Ale Hub livens up later on a Tuesday.t

The Homely Hub, we have been regulars here almost since they opened, love the great variety of beers, especially the regular Butty Bach! There is always a nice friendly buzz about the place and amazing how many people you bump into that you know and also people that you didn't know but now you do! Dog friendly too, so a good excuse for walking the dog! So much better than the larger dark impersonal establishments! (You know who you are!) Great friendly service, shout out to Chloe ;-) Give it a try, I am sure you won't be disappointed.

We visited The Colmore yesterday afternoon 4/11 with the intention of popping in for a quick civilised drink away from the hustle & bustle of the German market. Whilst enjoying a lovely glass of Prosecco in comfortable / plush surroundings with gorgeous smells emanating from the kitchen, we decided to stop longer and enjoyed another drink and a leisurely lunch. We perused the menu and even though the lovely lady server was kind enough to offer her recommendation of the cheesy garlic bread with nouja as a lighter option when she heard us say we didn’t want much., our mouths were already watering from reading about all the different pizzas, so we opted for the carnivore pizza, olives and bbq dip. WOW- I’ve always said my favourite pizza was one we enjoyed in Naples years ago and no UK restaurant has ever come close to this - however the colmores pizza is now my joint best ever pizza - cooked to perfection, served piping hot and plentiful toppings which covered the whole base- an absolute taste sensation and the BBQ dip was sublime. The colmore ticks all the boxes - for super service, lovely surroundings, fabulous food & an extensive selection of different drinks.

This is a fantastic little bar full stop homely inviting and lots of fun full stop the staff are warm and engaging. And they deliver a decent pine to the backdrop of great music full stop I haven't tried the food yet. But I plan to do that. Just before Christmas full stop highly recommended if you're into your craft beers. And things just a little bit quirky
