I went for the food, staff disinterested, expensive- £5.99 for kids pasta- I was asked three times if there was any dietary needs. Forgot to add my hot drink on, to busy upselling me coleslaw that I never asked for. There is a soft play strictly 0-5. Christmas section was nice. I wouldn’t go again. It’s popular with the older generation.

I came to the restaurant today with my GF for the Carvery, as I had heard such glowing reviews. On the arrival to order area the till service came over slightly disjointed and some of the staff wasn’t the most welcoming. At the servery we were greeted with: that it would be an extra cost for pigs in Blankets which was a first as these are always included. The meal itself, I found the roast potatoes very bland however the mash was ok. For £12.99 I honestly didn’t think it was value you for money and unfortunately I won’t be returning. Implementing Blue Light discount would be advantageous also as most of the local restaurants offer this.

We had a wonderful afternoon tea here today, such friendly staff, even though it was a hot day, the staff couldn't be more helpful. Nice choice of drinks, and the afternoon tea was so good, nice selection of sandwiches, and a nice red onion quiche. Followed by a good selection of cakes, with a lovely raspberry mousse, so filling we had to ask for a box to take the scones home for later.

Arrived here for lunch with my daughter and grandson. The soft play was good value and grandson enjoyed it. We ordered the ham salad sandwich with chips and a child's packed lunch box. Waited for over 25 minutes, the ham was wafer thin so couldn't taste it. The chips were fine. Childs packed lunch box was nice and good value. One thing that stood out was the tables, stained and need replacing.

We have enjoyed the carvery here several times in the past, but twice in the last few weeks, we have been disappointed. On the understanding that the food was served until 3.00pm, we arrived the first time at 2.30 to find that only one meat was available, and most of the vegatables were either all gone, or only scraps were left. With this in mind, on our second visit, we arrived at just after 2.00pm, to be told that even though there was a good selection of vegetables left, all the meat had gone, and would not be replaced. This is quite poor customer service for visitors to the Garden Centre, particularly as, when available, the vegetable selection is generally very good, and is one reason why we choose this Garden Centre above others. But if a restaurant is open until 3 o'clock, it should certainly not run out of food at 2 o'clock.

The carvery is amazing! Great choice of vegetables that seem to be slightly different each time and very yummy! Loved the leek & bacon & the cauliflower cheese is good. Everything is perfect and even my hubby (v fussy eater) loves it! The staff are very friendly, chef is brilliant and the restaurant is continuously cleaned by the attentive staff. Always a great choice of deserts, but as I enjoy the main course so much,I don't have room for one! Hubby enjoyed the key lime pie. Dogs are welcome and children have a lovely area so very relaxing for everyone. Have been to many local garden centres and this one definitely knocks spots off the others 😊

The best value for money meal I've had all year. Christmas lunch - main, dessert and coffee for under £15.00. The food was plentiful and tasty and the staff were great. Only negative is I would have preferred a larger plate so that the food wasn't piled on top and I could see all the individual items - and there was plenty ...... Beef or Turkey, mash & roast potatoes, stuffing ball, pigs in blankets, parsnips, peas, red cabbage, carrots, sprouts, leaks and bacon, cauliflower cheese and lashings of tasty gravy. And the bonus of it being in a beautifully decorated garden centre with lots of reasonsbly priced decorations, toys, gifts, plants etc to buy

We took my brother here for a birthday lunch treat. I wish I hadn’t bothered. It was pretty awful. My brother had scampi, chips and peas, it was very dry. We had quiche, and really it was tasteless, it was onion jam with custard on top! I went to the counter to order a sweet for my brother(who has special needs) but the cakes all looked about a week old, the jam and cream had seeped into the cake and they looked awful. To add insult to injury I was then charged £4.50 for 3 small scoops of ice cream. Terrible!

I waited about 15 minutes so thought they must be preparing something good However when it arrived in a tumbler it was just milk that had some strawberry sauce in to flavour it and was quite warm. It was a very hot day and the milk had not come out of the fridge. Nothing worse than a warm milkshake, I was looking forward to a nice cold, thick shake with maybe fresh strawberries or a scoop of ice cream, but no They had a board at the entrance to the restaurant advertising the strawberry, chocolate and banana shakes as though they were something special, they are not Do not waste your money you will be disappointed

Everything was absolutely delicious, lovely and hot, very generous portions and the beef was thick and sooo tender! The gravy was the tastiest ever. Lots of condiments and the nicest , friendliest chef who was so hardworking. They have a lovely extended outside seating area with lovely garden furniture. We had a lovely afternoon there and can't wait to return for the absolutely delicious looking afternoon tea. Will certainly be back for the carvery too! I like to pop into the garden center, not to buy any gardening products but to eat in the restaurant. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful and will go out of their way to help elderly visitors who may need assistance. There is a dog friendly area for those who take their 4 legged friends with them. A play area next to the seating area but separate for parents with young children. Anyway the food, find a table, order at the counter whether it be a creamed tea, cake or lunch ranging from a panini to a carvery. Personally I've never had a bad meal in there. It can be very busy however, that's not surprising really you must be able to reserve a table because I have seen tables with reserved on them. So if you are driving down the A41 past Albrighton pop into the garden center there is plenty of parking.

This coupled with the mop bucket left in the restaurant next to a table and watching plates being cleared next to the tables into a slop bucket wasn't great. The plants outside are displayed so well its like walking round someone's garden as you enter.... well laid out in tiers so you can see easily with plenty of room for wheelchairs and prams. Indoors the main wall separating the tills from the ornaments and gifts has been reduced by half making the area bright and airy and the indoor plant area is very pretty and smells fabulous with all the jasmine and candles. We stopped by for the senior citizens lunch £8 for 2 courses, tea/ coffee and left completely stuffed ! Very friendly staff, tasty food well cooked and heavenly puds. I regularly come here for the soft play area but if they didn't have this, I doubt I'd visit. Cafe staff are lack lustre; friendly enough but with no sense of urgency and dirty tables regularly go un-cleared. Service is unnecessarily slow during quieter periods, and staff seem unable to cope when it's even mildly busy. Food is of nice quality e.g. tasty cakes but at £3 per slice, this is a luxury I rarely partake in!Garden equipment and plants are far too expensive.Toilets don't smell very fresh!I'm not sure the layout of the place allows a natural "flow" of products and the entrance is a pain in the neck when you're with little ones because you have to walk a long way to get in. It appears that there may once have been an alternative entrance that you can no longer use.My kids love the soft play, and it's great being able to have a coffee whilst they have fun in a safe environment but I suspect that once my children have outgrown it, I won't be a customer any longer. It all feels a bit shoddy and with just some minor improvements, it could be great.

The fish and chips is in gluten free batter anyway but doesn't taste any different to 'normal' batter as my husband will testify. In fact he says it is probably better as it is not so greasy. The fish is enormous , in fact my daughter saw our plates and pronounce we had moby dick on our plates. Comes with chips and either mushy (also gluten free) or garden peas. Very filling but absolutely beautiful meal. they also do gluten free cakes and biscuits and their eton mess is also gluten free. this is very very yummy but not best to have after fish and chips unless you want to roll out of there. lol

Went with my sister two weeks ago to make use of a voucher I had bought. Wish we had gone to the Wolsley Bridges garden centre as it is much better. The Scones were half baked and as heavy as lead and the macaroons were sandwiched together with jam. The plants were not of the best quality and were very expensive. There is a little nursery up the Newport road called Bloomsbury nursery where they have an excellent choice of quality plants at a very reasonable price. Won't be going to Albrighton again for plants or afternoon tea

Easy place to visit with plenty of parking. Good play area for younger children. Plants always look healthy. Staff if needed always found to be very helpful.

my partner and myself took our granddaughter here for lunch and and play in the den area. On first arrival we noticed the moderate queue for the restaurant, maybe 10 people long, crockery laden tables and harassed staff lolling about not really interested in the state of it. After queuing for 15 minutes we finally got to the till and ordered 2 coffees, paid for a scone and a piece of cake and entry to the den. We took our tray to the den area, it was disgusting. No table was free of detris, staff were delivering trays of food to people in there but not clearing tables of used crockery or tidying up . They just walked out !! Once seated it was clear that the floor in the eating area was really disgusting, with crisps packets and food over much of it. The coffee was luke warm, the scone unbelievably nasty .. dry and crumbly as though it was cooked 4 days ago. Staff seemed disinterested and unmotivated, After our coffees I took off the little ones shoes and took her to play....... I was shocked by the state of the play area and equipment. There was a thick strip of filth between the bare floor and the mat area, in between the padded tiles and mats food debris was stuck between the gaps. When is this area ever cleaned effectively and disinfected ? God knows what bacteria are lurking ready to infect each child clambering over the muck. We did not stay .... I've read the other comments on here and not one of the issues has been addressed or answered by Wyevale. Someone from higher management needs to anonymously visit this restaurant and see for themselves the shambles it has become.

Nice layout and ample room for wheelchairs, staff are friendly and polite. Could sit here all day and relax, wife had vegetable bubble & squeak. Which she really enjoyed, would highly recommend it for a treat

As a disabled visitor I find the trek to the entrance a bit daunting, particularly in wet weather.. However the garden centre is good for it's size and has nice food. The plants I bought are thriving!

This place is just getting worse and worse. 15min to serve (as in just to take the order), 4 people. Then when I got to the front she said - "food finished at 2.30". I said I was here before that but the queue was ridiculous (as it always is at the moment). "We have some toasties, but that is it" was the response... As fish and chips and a full array of food kept coming out. What a joke. Not even a sorry. The scones we rock hard, these have become awful over the last few months. We go to meet friends and do the soft play with the little ones but the appalling attitude of staff and bad food quality is driving people away - I am not alone, many people in the place expressed the same opinion.

We visited at lunchtime on our way to Attingham Park and took advantage of a two mail meals for £12 offer. I had fish, chips and peas and my wife had a Chicken Caesar salad, both of which were more than adequate in quantity and quality. The staff were friendly and helpful and though a converted greenhouse isn't the best ambience, they've done their best to make the most of it.

A friend and I had a catch up and a coffee whilst her son played in the play area - I don't have children myself but felt it was expensive for the size of the play area. The coffee was nice but our scones were very dry and we could not taste the festive element - normally when I have a scone here they are lovely so I am guessing that the festive scone recipe is not a great one! The garden centre itself has some lovely items, all be it rather over priced - I am happy to pay for items, but not when they can be brought elsewhere at a fraction of the cost.

We arrived for lunch promptly at 1.30pm. The first thing we were told was they were 'no longer serving lunch' and we could only have a cake or a drink. No explanation when we asked why, staff seemed bewildered. Goes without saying we were disappointed, as we had travelled a fair way to get there to meet up with distant family.Things we noticed:--No tables had been cleared, we ended up clearing one ourselves. Although this is sometimes normal in a busy cafe, it was unusually messy in there, and not busy.--Ordered two mince pies for a snack, as there was no other food. Looked slightly suspicious, but upon tasting and smelling them our worst fears confirmed. They tasted at least 5 days GONE OFF. They looked homemade not shop brought, which was even worse as you don't know how hygienic they were... All agreed worst mince pie we had ever tasted. Absolutely fowl.--None of the teacups were washed up properly, needed a wipe to get all the bits out first. --Teapot lid had a little piece of waste food on it, that was actually on the inside of the lid trapped between the pot and the tea itself. It was like a bit of soggy leafy salad. Disgusting. Nobody wanted to finish their cup of tea.--A hair floating on top of the milk jugAll things which any normal, considerate member of staff would have noticed, and done something about it. But none of the staff here seem to care AT ALL.To our dismay, about 10 mins before leaving we spotted them serving hot food again to other tables. We didn't have time to stay and question this, but in hindsight probably glad we didn't try any of the food!Went home and made ourselves a cup of tea and a mince pie in the comfort of our own home, and we were delighted.

Searched without success for containers for growing herbs on the kitchen window cill. Look so many garden centres this one had a shop, with a whole plethora of goods which have precious little to do with gardening.

Visited this garden centre, which had plenty of parking space and had a lot of the plants for sale under cover and were well displayed. Also, in the big inside shop was a large selection of clothes, seeds, garden tools and books, as well as an area for Christmas decorations and toys. I enjoyed my lunch at the restaurant, which was a tasty and recommended jacket potato, washed down with a glass of white wine! I received a £5 Promotion Voucher, if I spent £30 or more on a visit before 15th November. The whole centre seemed well managed and customer friendly.

Ordered a cheese and onion toasty, order came out as a builders type sandwich with horrible crisps, sent it back to get what we ordered, came back like toasted builders sandwich still with crisps not salad as we had received in previous visits,we did complain and got a small bowl of salad as a goodwill gesture, not good enough, who dreamed up the idea of providing crisps instead of salad with a toasted sandwich?

Very good selection of high quality plants but rather pricey. Everything is well displayed and they have a fine selection of typical garden centre gifts with some good quality novelties. The cafe is appreciated and offers good quality food.

Wow! What a little treat this was, Saturday afternoon grub with family. I was pleasantly surprised by such good tasty food. Dad specifically recommended the fish and chips so that is what I had. Not long to wait at all. Very friendly, helpful staff. The fish!... White and juicy! and chips were amazing too!peas, they were relatively normal mushy peas ha but the tartar sauce I think was homemade by the looks of it and I really liked it, complimented perfectly. I highly recommend and I have since recommended. I am not sure of the cost as I didn't pay. But I would imagine it's average :) I will definitely visit again.

We went to the cafe about 3pm. It was quiet at that time. We only had one customer before us. Staff looked fed up. The service was too too slow for two drinks. We had to wait a long time for staff to key in two drinks and two cakes onto the till. The customer in front of us had a coffee with massive bubbles sitting on the top. We had the same bubble latte. The place is nice, but we won't come back because the service was so bad.

What a find we were staying at Ludlow Touring site and booked Sunday lunch at The Wheatsheaf . The pub was really welcoming warm and comfortable. We were two couples who went for Sunday lunch and we all agreed it was the best Sunday lunch we had had at a pub and really good value . The beef and lamb were really tender and there was a good selection of vegetables all cooked perfectly. The service was good and nothing too much trouble. Thank you for making our first visit a success

Been for lunch today and ordered the soup carrot and butternut squash which was OK, I asked for a brown roll but instead I got boring sliced brown so i asked for a roll and was told they didn't have any but could get me seedy one, that came straight from the freezer I think and was the so dry it would of made good bread crumbs .not worth £7.45 for the tiny bowl of soup 😡
