Albion Bakery in North Lincolnshire

Called in a couple of weeks ago and asked a fair haired woman behind the counter for some cheese straws. She said with a sarcastic smirk on her face that there was 3 in a pack for £1.She immediately rudely giggled at anther lady assistant who initially smiled back and then realised that the moment was embarrassing so she carried on wit her work. The fair haired woman serving me still continued to ignorantly smirk at me. To be fair I should have challenged her but it was my day off work . I am an Area Sales Manager for a National Bulilding Merchants and would certainly not tolerate this frivolous behaviour in front of customers. I have been using the Bakery for years and will definetly take my business elsewhere now. The lady in question would never be employed by me with this customer facing value!

My brother went to get 2x sausage bacon and egg The sausage was awful wouldn’t even call it sausage and the bacon was hard and cold

Went in this morning Tuesday 29th August 2023 , firstly greeted with one staff member only on her phone texting away really Un professional, not helpful just looking at her phone on social media, clicking away and watching her phone screen (I get the impression she just didn’t want our custome when talking) so after that looked at me I asked for a hot Sandwich which is clearly advertised in huge writing and she said you can’t have that it’s over (12.20) we walked out when she said it’s over then just went back on her phone. This bakery used to be the very best and great produce now no cares, poor customer service and turning customers away. Such a shame to see.

did a 40 mile cycle thought i would treat my son to a birthday coffee and cake. Staff not helpful, could not see anything to purchase ok i thought oh well no vegan anything. so i purchased 3 scones which were dry, i asked if there was nay butter. given some small packets but with no knife could not spread. i nearly did not bother 2 coffees and 3 scones dissappointing won't be going there again

The staff and the products at the Albion Bakery are terrific and well worth a visit. I stated using this Bakery a few years ago with my late wife, and Kate & Pete make you so welcome as do all staff to ensure a fast and friendly service, I would not hesitate to recommend the Albion Bakery to anyone. Week days staff are quite rude and unhelpful although food is good, weekend staff are friendly and helpful

Lovely food home baked one of two lovely bread producers in Epworth both worth a visit. This one very good

All food and staff great always busy and friendly. Really fresh food on a daily basis Can eat in or sit outside or simply take away .cakes are to die for .meal deals too Sometimes best to go early because certain things sell out quick So call in and see for yourself and look around historic town of Epworth.

Love going!! Lots to eat and have a "Happy Coffee". All staff are willing to please always happy and helpful.

Was at the John Wesley house and decided to have a little walk into the village and wanted a cake. We came across this beautiful little place had a lovely Malteser cake and a chocolate milkshake. Really tasty and lots of different cakes to choose from would come here again if in the village lovely place and area. Staff was very friendly and made you feel welcome especially visiting the area for the day .

We recently stayed at haxey quays caravan site we were given a leaflet about the bread van coming on Saturdays we rang Jon and placed an order we were lucky enough to try their pork pies these certainly were one of the best we have tasted we returned to haxey and ordered again this time buying a pork pie but also Eccles cakes, olive bread and mushroom & garlic pate by far the best pate we have tasted we will certainly be buying more of this and the olive bread was lovely and soft , I have never been fond of Eccles cakes but I shared one with my hubby they were delicious and Jon the van driver is a lovely friendly chap too definitely worth 5 stars in my opinion 👍

Quite suprised to read the previous reviews of the bakery with regards to staff. I've always found them to be cheerful and working as fast as they can when they are obviously very busy and have been apologised to for the wait if there was one. I go in about twice a week for bread and coffee and find both to be very good. My elderly mother also goes in a couple of times a week and they are so patient with her, she loves to go for a chat.

What a miserable lot.....absolutely unpleasant experience going in to this place. Prices high quality low. Won't be going again !!!!!!

Apart from the nice Scottish lady there the staff are generally not pleasant. Food average and we always got burned toasted tea cakes. Luckily there are better places to go in Epworth. Would not recommend.

This a recently opened café,it is tastefuly decorated seating about 24 people. We had the small full English breakfast,very nice well set out on the plate. The owners are bro/sis they make you feel very welcome,and engage in conversation very easily.My wife & I will certainly pay another visit next week also this café is open 7 days aweek well worth a visit.

I always go for my bread a couple of times a week, always met with friendly smile, coffee brill and prices good value, the quality is exellent well done keep it up.

London prices! Quality not that special anymore and the warmth has gone too. Just like any other shop anywhere. Sad

I live in Epworth but do not go here anymore for my sandwich or anything come to that. Handling food without tongs and also handling food after touching coins/ money is just not acceptable.

Called in here for a coffee and a snack while in Epworth for the music day. The place looked appealing with its fresh baked bread and cakes and advertising organic produce etc. WHAT A BIG MISTAKE!!! We ordered coffee and a toasted teacake and then went to take a seat - the table was filthy! it was a wooden table with slats in and there was bits of food in all the gaps, stick stuff on the table etc... We waited and expected someone to at least come and wipe the table before they brought us our food but they didn't. We were brought our food and drink on a tray that had cocoa powder sprinkled on it - we hadn't ordered cappuccino, just black americano so where did the chocolate come from ??? EEeewwwww the tray hadn't been cleaned! The teacakes looked lovely - it was a shame that one of the knives that was brought with them was grimy and sticky. I then saw another member of staff bring a pot of tea and an empty cup to another table - the cup was visibly dirty! Overall this place could be lovely but the level of cleanliness needs sorting - NOW!
