Always a treat! Had an absolutely scrummy club sandwich. The surroundings are quirky, the service excellent and the simple food beautifully cooked. Marvellous!

Lovely cafe stop. I come here on my bike alone. The lady who runs it is lovely as is the lad who takes the orders. Its a great cafe with nice food at very reasonable prices. Should be more places like this. Dont like the moaners who complain about small businesses like this who give good service at very reasonable prices.

Cafe inside an antique shop, food nice and fresh, staff very friendly. Good meeting place for a quick bite or afternoon slice of cake and a cuppa.

Absolutely love love love Albert's its such a fabulous place and has expanded since we last visited.. The whole place is a feast for anyone looking to buy Collectables and lovely gifts. You definitely need to go around twice. I have eaten many times at the cafe and it's beyond lovely. The service is very attentive and welcoming. My husband and I had a sausage roll which was flaky and beautiful. We both loved the additional treat of enjoying piccalilli and sweet pickle with it. We treated ourselves to a homemade scone clotted cream and jam. We were asked what kind of jam we would like. Strawberry, raspberry or black cherry. The scone was served warm and was absolutely delectable. Such an amazing find. If you haven't been you're definitely missing out.

A wonderfully excellent cafe, serving home cooked and freshly made food. Breakfasts, lunches, cakes, coffee’s. The cafe has a new owner who has run this cafe since April this year. Always new things to try on the menu and very affordable. Will definitely be returning soon! Super friendly too!

We stopped for coffee and cake. Mediocre coffee and expensive but not spectacular cake. Service wasn't particularly fast given there weren't loads of customers.

Lovely little cafe inside a vintage retro shop, we had a a full breakfast at 12:30 as they still had a few sausages left and accommodated our late breakfast request. The sausages are from a local supplier and very tasty! The staff were nice and the owner made us feel welcome. it will deserves a visit and it's not far from the M1 junction 20

Glad to see this cosy cafe open again. Just a few yards from the main road in North Kilworth. What I had to eat was locally purchased from quality suppliers which was clearly evident in the sausages. Coffee was great don't normally have two in a row but for once an independent cafe doing much better than the big chains.

After reading the reviews I really expected a warm welcome and a little gem of a place. To be honest it was disappointing. “Val” was nowhere to be seen when we arrived. The only other people in there told us she would be out in the shop so we had to go and find her, this was after us finding our own menus, reading through them and making our choices. The food was ok. Giving 3 stars cos it wasn’t terrible but I wouldn’t rush back either.

We love Albert's cafe and buy our eggs from Val on a regular basis. My only "moan" is that it needs to open much earlier because my little grandson has us out and about at stupid o'clock! There are some vegan/vegetarian options and Val is very knowledgeable about the ingredients used. The cafe is a bit tucked away and there could be better advertising from the main Lutterworth to Harborough road. North Kilworth council please take note! This establishment is the jewel in North Kilworth's crown.

Sign on door claims ‘Cyclists welcome’ but we didn’t find it very welcoming as full with bookings for Sunday lunches. No other food on offer except cake to be eaten outside.

Dropped in a snack and coffee, what a great fun place to visit. Biggest selection of homemade cakes, so difficult to decide which one to have. Hot food cooked to order and super quality, none of your skimpy dishes here. Staff were great fun and invited me to a speed dating night with a fish & chip supper, sounds good to me. Attached to a great antiques centre.

My wife and I went for coffee and cake on a sunny Saturday afternoon. This is a small place, but the cake selection was very good, and the lady behind the counter clearly makes them herself, as she explained the ingredients to us. The coffee is from a machine, but I was very pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was. The staff were friendly and helpful and the service was prompt. This is a quirky place and well worth seeking out for well priced coffee and cake.

We stopped for the first time at this café for coffee and cake. I asked for a small drink but they only had large mugs. The cakes were old and dry, the service was good. Its a shame that more thought wasn't put into this café it could be a lovely stop, needs someone to advise them on good cakes and nice cups and saucers.

My girlfriend and I visited this place for the first time ever today. Quite a few antiques to look at and a lovely cafe serving amazing food! We had the Sunday roast and two huge puddings afterwards! All credit to the staff for their hard work, patience and making it a home from home!

Couple of us came here after a few miles on the bike for a pit stop. Sun was shining so sat outside. Had cuppa and a breakfast cob. Was just what I needed although it did take a while to arrive. Will be visiting again!

It is so cold in the room, it doesn't make for a good experience. The coffee was made from a machine and was awful, I told the lady who seemed most put out. I wasn't offered anything else. The toast was stone cold by the time it was served and the food was not at all tasty. Unfortunate as it's a local little cafe to pop to.

I pop in here occasionally - if it was too often I would buy almost everything in the shop! Lots of interesting reasonably priced vintage items on sale. You discover friendly and accommodating service and a great place to take friends for a shop and a snack! The café menu is wide ranging - something for everyone at any time of the day. Well worth a visit - and you will no doubt return again and again. Easy to park and you can sit outside too if it is warm enough!

After a concerning walk through the antique shop (felt as if we were in the wrong place) we found the cafe at the back of the shop. I instantly had a good feeling about the place. Fantastic menu selection considering the place is only small and the decor is quirky and friendly. The first time I visited it was lunch time so I had soup and bread - it was delicious and very filling! I recommended this place to my husband as he sometimes works in the village and from time to time likes to go to a cafe for his lunch. After his approval from his visit, we both came together one Saturday afternoon and had a small all day breakfast - again, the food was brilliant and we were stuffed. Highly recommend this place for a bite to eat during the day. I just need to try some cake on my next visit!

First time we've visited here for a long time on a Sunday as we found the Pig & Muck some years ago, where the Carvery was outstanding. Unfortunately, that's now changed hands and a Carvery is no longer offered, so we tried The Crown again. The Pros: Staff were all lovely, really friendly and very attentive. We've always liked the interior of this Pub and it had been refreshed since our last visit, many years ago. Cons: Welcome at the actual Carvey was "what do you want mate"! What can I get for you, without the mate, would seem more appropriate. First dissapointing thing food wise, was only a choice of 3 meats. Perhaps we were spoilt at The Pig & Muck, as there was always beef, pork, pork belly, lamb, gammon and turkey on a Sunday. The meat we had at The Crown though was good. Frozen Yorkshire Puddings were also dissapointing. Most establishments serving a great Sunday Lunch pride themselves on homemade Yorkshire. The Cauliflower and Brocoli Cheese was just awful. The sauce was as runny as water. It seems the staff are the biggest asset here, as the Carvery was not good enough to return. I know the long established Chef left a few months ago, so maybe this is problem.
