Please avoid this place 9 pound for this s as no it tasted absolutely horrid German donner is a million times better don’t waste your time or money

The meat tikka was actually row it went in the bin I don't know how they still in business the portion was not for two it's a lot less Poor food

Tastesless food. Small portiom sized was very disappointed at how bland the food was dont even think they added any salt let alone amy othe flavours! Definatly will not visit again

The food here is excellent and never disappoints. Full of flavour and very reasonable prices. The portions are huge and filling. We tried a couple new starters and they surpassed our expectations. Thumbs up to the team

We visited this restaurant last night, my 3rd or 4th time, this time with my family. Food was tasty as usual, piping hot, good service and friendly atmosphere. We ordered x2 family platters and some cold starters. The only thing I would say is, that the food took slightly longer than usual to arrive. However, the place was extremely busy, long queues of people, alot more than usual, but staff were attentive and trying their best. Thank you

My experience on a night where this government 50% off, "Eat out help out" was in full force was actually a very pleasant one. I have heard terrible stories about people complaining left right and centre in other restaurants about bad food, bad service, but I am extremely glad we chose Turkish yesterday! This was my first time at Ala Turka and we were really impressed with the variety of the food. The bread and starters (hot and cold) were yummy and the mains were absolutely delicious! I normally eat alot of salt, so I did find it slightly under, however that was easily rectified, as I added more to mine. The rest of my family found it perfect to their taste. Overall nice place, friendly staff and definitely a place to bring friends or family. Fresh hot food at very reasonable prices.

The worst decision i ever took is to go for dinner in alaturka ladypool road. We came there at 9 o’clock. After waiting (which I don’t mind at these times) we got the table by the window, Which was wiped with oily reusable kitchen towel, one for all tables in restaurant. Between seat and wall we discovered a spider, lots of spider webs and a pile of dust. Floor also was very dirty under the table. Waitress who served us was very attentive and professional. Brought our drinks and menus, after a short while took our order. We’ve ordered starter and main. Here started the “best” part. Starter arrived approximately after half an hour. Cutlery with it was dirty and sticky, I asked to change, unfortunately they brought me the same sticky and dirty spoon had to wash it in the sink because they all were dirty. Restaurant staff doesn’t know that before serving cutlery should be polished. After another hour we started to question waitress about where our mains are? Then guy from the bar came round, he all was very busy over the phone all the night and claimed he’s a manager and said that our mains will come soon. And went back behind the bar and kept busy on his phone again. Then finally our mains arrived which wasn’t even close to what we ordered. Also salad and bread and sauces arrived with it. Side plates and cutlery was dirty again this time rice grain left in the fork from previous user. Bread basket was terrifying.... mouldy and soooo dirty it never seen dishwasher before!!!! At this point we had to leave this was actual spit on the face from serving staff and a “manager”. So we left angry and hungry after 2 hours wasted for nothing!!! This is unacceptable service at all. No teamwork at all, staff doesn’t have any idea what is it, only one waitress was running around all the guests ensuring their comfort. All the rest girls was chatting to each other but “manager” was busy over the phone all night. Well never ever I’ll go back there as well as will tell all my friends to AVOID!!!! Poor hygiene, bad service, careless management. Terrible experience.

Visited on sunday evening with family, excellent food, big portions. clean and chilled out place, excellent service by the staff. Government guidelines in place to protect staff and customers. Will be returning soon.

My partner and I visited this turkish restaurant on a early afternoon. The restaurant was clean and deco was good. Alaturka special was excellent served accordingly with rice & bread. We recall coming to this restaurant previously in 2019 and we did not return for a while as the service was not good but now the service was on point and observed by the management. We will definitely be back.

Went in today with a friend, we had the platter for 2. It was lovely, bread was especially gorgeous! The reason I haven’t rated it a 5 is because the food didn’t arrive piping hot only the bread did. The service was great, waitress was attentive and friendly and she observed social distancing etc

This was our first time eating at alaturka and it will surely be the last. Our experience was not a pleasant one due to a few disappointments one being that we were not told that the bulgar (which is another rice like dish that’s included in the platter) was unavailable, the staff did not bother to make us aware until my wife pointed it out secondly had we have been aware we would have ordered an alternative dish. Secondly when requested for traditional bread it arrived very well done almost burnt and it was the last one so we had no choice! (Strange as it was only early evening at the time) thirdly from our platter we were missing the donner meat that was stated in the menu. With everything taken into account I would not recommend this restaurant as it lacked enthusiasm,warmth and definitely somewhere to take your family. The kitchen staff appeared to be very cold and unapologetic but the girls that serviced us seemed very friendly overall.

Loved the food, great friendly service well priced really pleased we came here will be coming back !

My husband and I visited today for lunch. Loved the free bread and dips at the beginning. I ordered a adnan kebab and chicken kebab with rice,salad etc. Amazing food. It was our first visit but not our last. Will definitely return. And car park is conveniently right opposite. There wasn’t any complimentary tea for us which was a shame but other reviewers have stated they had nice complimentary tea at the end of the meal

Visited here with a group of work colleagues. We had the Sultan platter. So much food! Excellent dips & fresh bread to start. Followed by various meats and rice. Everything was fresh & really tasty. Service was excellent and every request attended to promptly. Very reasonable price as well. Highly recommend.
