My burger was completely burnt, to cover it up the guy plastered it with chilli sauce and bar-b-q sauce. i didn't realise until i took a bite, the sauces flooded into my mouth followed by an awful burnt taste. !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like a previous poster I also got over charged for the food, I have no idea why they would do this as the prices are up there for all to see. After arguing with them I decided to just pay up instead of kicking up a fuss. Getting home to eat the kebab was a huge disappointment. Hardly any salad and which some of it was really limp and old, the meat tasted horrible and not cooked properly and the bread was completely sodden with oil, it was like BP had sprung a leak in there. It's safe to say, I won't be going back there ever again.

Very disappointed with delivery time for my order, had to ring twice to check on progress. The order arrived 1 hour AFTER the quoted time. Will not be ordering from here again. Only gave 1 star as there was no option for no stars.

Shameful service, for a start no option to add sauces or salads to any food so unless you add it in notes your screwed, add to that the got my order wrong and delivered my kebab with chips and not the awesome bread they make on the site which is the only reason I ordered from them. Also give up trying to call them, number on here rings and rings until it cuts off, their website has two mobile numbers but guess what both are dead so if you need to amend any order or tell them to add sauce to the kebabs or even call to complain then guess what your out of luck. Do yourself a favour and keep clear of Aladdin's as once they were awesome but now they rate for me one of the worst in south wales!!

Ordered a chicken sheesh meal, the chicken was not cooked properly, the rice was burned and cold, the salad looked really old and stale. The place looked quite dirty and there were flies all over, best look elsewhere along City Road if you want a nice meal.

Eaten in restaurant a few times and a lamb shish fresh of the grill here is lovely but not the best on a takeaway as its waiting around and ended up a little tough to eat. Burger was tasty tho . Stick to eating in store in future tho

Another fab meal . Tookour three sons and we ordered family platter , and it was freshly cooked, top marks from the Ellars again, thank you as always a warm welcome.

Aladins is my favourite takeaway potentially of all time. The food is delicious, reasonably priced, always delivered on time and includes an elaborate side salad. Incredible service can't praise it enough!

Lamb was under cooked and ribs were off .... Smelt off I did not eat this food over £30.00 to eat bread and salad . very disappointed.ordered from here in the past something has gone wrong. Just a call and say something is not available is better than sending food that is obviously smells off . I refuse to eat this food .

Delivery took over a hour once it arrived it was almost cold, chips was soggy and dry, kebabs just about warm, had items missing from order and when phoned to ask about it they said that I was lieing and it was all there after 10 minutes on phone they finally decided to send out the missing items then took over a hour again to deliver them. Very poor around

I will never order from them again. I even had email confirmation but I called them after 1 hour when my food wasn't delivered and they said we don't even saw your order on just eat. it sucks

Popped in after club around 4am asked for a kebab which was diced in fat chunks.The lady put in the microwave then used a cooking blow torch to make sure it was well done. Slapped onto a nan bread with salad wrapped and put in a bag. I never said anything as i wanted to send a sample across to the lab. Please do not use this place it's not safe cannot believe they are still open. I wouldn't feed a dog with this food. SICKNESS!!

The mixed mezzo was a delight and there was plenty of it. Altogether we had a lovely meal.

The food was absolutely revolting! The 'chicken' tasted like dog breath and I will certainly not be eating there again! Avoid!

TERRIBLE, delivery took over 2 hours!!!!!! When calling was put through to voicemail service. Didn't have lamb shwarma. Don't bother!

Ordered in advance for an 8.30 delivery time. At 8.55 nothing had arrived so I rang and asked what time I could expect my food and was told "5 mins no more". However after another 15 mins I was forced to ring back again and was told "sorry but he is 2 mins away" so again I waited. 20 mins more passed and I rang back again when I was told "5 mins no more, very sorry" but I'd had enough at this point (food an hour late) and as I was due to go out shortly so cancelled my order and went out hungry.

Had heard some good things about the food here but was disappointed. Waited for over 45 mins for good to be served (takeaway) was charged for large meal when I ordered a small. Was also told after 45 mins of waiting when I went to pay they did not accept card payments so had to walk up the road to find a cashpoint. Had the Aladdin special and a lamb kebab meal, Aladdin special was huge with tons of food, a bit to much grease for my liking have had better, not the worse I've had though.

Took too long to come and when it did arrive the meat was over cooked and tough. It took almost 2 hours delivery and we mainly ordered cold starters. Not good really I won't be using Aladdin again.

Food is always good from aladins, nicer if u buy straight from counter. First time ive had delivery from there came on time. Gotta be 1 of the best in cardiff

well the meal took 1.5 hours to arrive which is just ridiculous after ringing three times asking and each time being told 5-10 minutes and driver has left each time and just were not helpful. I don't mind if it is busy but at least apologize or even explain that it is going to be late. I have collected food from here before with no problems but i would not recommend ordering from them at all. (i would have rated the delivery a zero if i could have)

Good quality meat, however food extremely salty and only lukewarm, all the family were kept up having to drink water, we ordered 3 chips and got one portion only, on phoning them back we were told it was too far for them to come out to complete our order but they would let us have free chips on our next order, sorry but we won't be ordering from here again!

DO NOT order from here, came 2 hours late. Person on the phone reassured me the food would be warm, the kebabs were lukewarm at best, wings were ice cold and chips were stale. DISGUSTING place, dry old shwarma had to throw it all away, chicken kebab was drenched in oil.

My new most favourite take away, amazing food and so much of it. So pleased when I saw they were on just eat

I had a falafel wrap here, the staff were very helpful and the wrap was delicious :) will definitely go back again soon!

My family and I went to Aladdin to break our fast once and the food was absoultely gorgeous. There was a huge decorated fruit platter and carved watermelon, we had tabbouleh salad and humous for starters. Our main was a huge platter of rice and chicken with a tomato sauce, okra stew and lamb/chicken kofta. I was so full by the end of the evening. There weren't many staff working that day so the service was slightly slow but the food made up for it. Definitely worth what was paid.

This was my second order from this place. Last time it was great, today awful. Went in, stated what I was after and then asked how much all of that would be. When it came to paying however I was charged much more than I was originally told (£4.90 which then became £6). Although the naan bread was made fresh which added to the long waiting time, you get the sense that your prescence there isnt welcome and feel intimated, staff aren't friendly. My chips were great but my naan bread was burnt and the meat (mixed lamb and chicken donnar meat) was awful this time round and the chili sauce I always get was bland and pathetic. They have changed so much since I last went a few months ago and wont be going back. There are far better places to go to !!!! Dont waste your money here guys, ive been to much friendlier places and gotten better deals else where.

I visited the restaurant early June after work for food with my children and husband, our order took so long to prepare even though we were the only people there. The wrong food came out and when we asked why our order is wrong the female staff started shouting and walked away abruptly. The manager then came and when we said what had happened he started picking up the food and told us to leave. He was abusive and upset our children, and even wanted to fight my husband outside when we questioned his attitude and service. This is no way to run a restaurant!!!

The staff are useless and very unfriendly - we waited for our food for about 35 minutes, they forgot parts of our order and when we asked for something else they just said "we are busy". Very poor service and they even tried to charge us £3 for service! Food was like sludge, not worth the wait at all. Wouldn't recommend this place at all. Falafels tasted like petrol, and I'm pretty sure they cooked the chicken with a hairdryer... Humphrey was the third wheel and they made him feel even worse, sending him to a different table.

used to regularly frequent Aladdins regularly as a student and then could not recommend it more however it could not have changed more. Spend20 min waiting, then the food I ordered (chicken shish) tasted like petrol. Utterly disappointing. Go next four to miss millies!

We have been back and fore to Aladin kebab shop fr 15 years, although changed hands , but have to say it gets better and better...We sat in last time we visited and it was beautiful, fresh,and the freshly made bread, was out of this world!The mixed meat was prepared in front of us, and was very tender and tasty.We will defo visit any time we can , as it cost us £22 for lovely meal and service received was great, thank you.Please dont judge all kebab shops the same , this was very good..enjoy nom nom

I ordered a small lamb doner and as I waited I watched the kitchen work (I'm a manager in a restaurant so I do this most times I order any food). I was impressed by the guy that looked like the head chef, he was directing the staff and controlling the orders in a way you don't often see in a kebab style outlet. I also noticed that my pitta bread was made to order from fresh dough, another touch you don't see often when ordering food at 2am! The end product looked more like a large rather than small doner and I would recommend and use you from now on. Kind of agree with the other comment regarding the service but he wasn't rude and I don't take much notice of this when ordering a kebab.

Food is nice here, however it is more expensive than the other shops in City Road, but worst than all is the ignorant service. Took 20 mins to be served and to get a kebab. No apology or acknowledgment and when I eventually got it, it was cold. Do yourselves a favour and go to Lilo less than 5 minutes walk, the food is amazing, cheap and fast.
