Came in on Sunday just prior to closing which I was sensitive to as I have worked in hospitality myself and understand what it is like and was aware of the closing times. Stood in the queue only to get to the front and be told that they are closing in five minutes. Bear in mind there were still three lots of tables with people eating and we only wanted a takeaway. Really disappointing and poor customer service.

We won’t be returning unfortunately. Staff were very unsure of themselves & not particularly friendly. We ordered 2 smoothies which cost £7.50 each?! Guessed they must be worth the money… Can honestly say it was the worst smoothie I’ve ever had. They were so thick with ice that we couldn’t even drink through the straws & went through multiple straws trying. Neither flavour taste of much & the unblended chunks were not pleasant. I’m no smoothie expert but could definitely make better myself. Wish we had asked for a refund but we didn’t try them until we walked down the road away from the shop (we were busy fussing over the dog). Such a shame that our experience was negative as I love to support small local businesses.

I visited akai loads in the summer, and even wrote a 5/5 reviews I loved it so much. I was so excited to see a good quality Açai bowl offering in Bournemouth. Me and my partner went at the weekend and both got one of the Porridge bowls as it was a cold day. 1 took 20 minutes to make, the other took 30 minutes. The porridge consistency was like cement. I’m used to thick overnight oats but this was something else. The staff weren’t impolite, but you could tell they just weren’t overly bothered about their jobs or keeping you updated on how long your order was going to be. Hopefully the original staff are back soon as it seems to have made a huge difference in the service and quality.

FINALLY an acai bowl cafe in Bournemouth! So happy to see this open, and the acai bowls do not disappoint, I’ve tried 3 so far and all are amazing. The quality of all of the ingredients is a 10/10, no frozen fruits used as toppings here guys! The acai smoothie itself is perfect, not too runny and the portion sizes are SO generous. Please give them a visit and support this small local business. Acai bowls are not just for Summer ;)

We were down in Bournemouth for a couple of nights and visited here for breakfast. Claudia was so welcoming and helpful with the menu. We had a porridge and an overnight oats bowl, both were amazing, chose various toppings with them. Healthy, filling and set us up for a lovely walk along the beach. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely delicious freshly made juices. I felt like I could conquer the world after drinking the Iron Man juice! The staff are friendly and very helpful. The sizes are good and so are the prices!

Would totally recommend Açai- absolutely wonderful service and staff and sooo delicious !! Claudia was so helpful as we arrived just as they were closing -and she so kindly opened up again for us so that my daughter and I could still have the treat that we had really been looking forward to ! Absolutely lovely place and so very clean . Couldn’t recommend more highly - we will most definitely be back at the first opportunity!!

We ordered a smoothie bowl, overnight oats and a smoothie. All were beautifully made, fresh and tasted amazing. Claudia put so much effort into making the bowls and was very friendly too. Will definitely be returning and recommend highly. All on menu vegan and gluten free too!

Found this place by accident and have been back for breakfast for the last 3 days. The smoothies are delicious and the smoothie bowls are lovely. Customer service is also excellent. I get the feeling this is quite a new business and deserves to succeed

Went in this afternoon. Had an amazing coffee but couldn’t but help feel like they were understaffed today. They were all rushing around working as hard as they could, but definitely could do with an Extra pair of hands. However, will not fault the quality of the coffee as it was amazing as normal. Don’t know if it’s an issue with lack of employees available or if that’s all they could put on at once but I felt as thought the level of service dropped due to this.

We've been meeting up monthly there for a good few months for something to eat. It's got a good menu and the food is. OK Recently we've come across a middle aged bloke working there who is rude and sarcastic so we'll find somewhere else in Charminster to meet up.

The staff were very rude and the building was unsafe and can cause you injuries. I went to the toilet to wash my hands and accidentally hit the top of my head on the door frame when leaving the bathroom (which was too low, despite me only being 5'11"). After I explained to whoever was in charge that I hit my head on the door frame in the toilet, she said that I should "use my eyes" and that there was writing on the other door frames (but not the one I hit my head on) and that I should look where I am going in the future like "normal people". I tried to explain that all that was needed was some padding or something colourful to stop people hitting their heads but she wasn't interested in my recommendations and was extremely rude and disrespectful, insisting that the writing she had was enough warning, and that it was my own fault I was injured. Not only was I left with a severe headache but was also treated so rudely and disrespectfully by a member of staff I'm never going back here again and recommend everyone else avoid this place also.

Unfortunately we did not see the sign that said take a seat and someone would be with you shortly. We asked the girl behind the counter for a coffee and a tea, she took the order and we showed her where we would be sitting, informing us she would come over and take the order. Another man came in went straight to the counter and ordered food and drink and went and sat down. So my husband went up to the counter and asked for a bacon and sausage sandwich to be told .... "I can't do everything at once, I'm making you coffee and tea" and threw her hands up in the air. She was so rude, I could not believe she spoke to a customer that way. I work in customer service and I would have been sacked for speaking to a customer that way on the spot. It was not busy and she was certainly not run off her feet. Lesson in customer service 1 Hello how can I help you 2 Please take a seat and I will be with shortly 3 Go to table and take the order and smile!! and say "I will make your drinks and you food order will be with you shortly 4 Upsell - ask the customer if there is anything else I can help you with Positive .... the sandwich was lovely.

A small and very friendly place for a break from shopping. Whether for a late breakfast, lunch or just a drink. Very reasonable price too
