Always a pleasure to go to AJs. Menu has a wide variety of options and the home made chips are the best. Dog friendly including treats available, Tommy our staffy was made very welcome.

Amazing cosy cafe on the outside of the market, staff were lovely and friendly, food was served to perfection, the hand cut chips were the best I have had in a long time. will definitely be making this a regular place to visit

Visited here this morning for breakfast. There was a wide range of eateries to choose from in Wellington market but liked the menu as they did eggs Benedict. Lovely cafe with nice relaxing furniture and atmosphere. Was greeted on entry and was provided with a menu. We ordered drinks whilst we were choosing. Drinks arrived and our Order was taken. But few mins later the young girl returned to say they had no muffins. This was disappointing as we particularly chose this place for it and the fact that muffins appeared on menu a few times. The young girl offered to shop to get some but after she finished serving other orders x which would been a while so I ended up with poached egg on toast which wasn’t anything special to be honest. Hubby said his cooked breakfast was fine. Can understand running out of ingredients but should have been taken off menu or at least informed when given the menu. There was only one young girl serving and one person in kitchen.

Last time we visited under different management the food was dreadful . We had heard good things and decided to try again . Firstly staff were pleasant and helpful . Beer was good . The meal came out in decent time. I had ordered steak and Stilton pie . It came out as a slice and was ok . The slice wasn’t big and wouldn’t have filled a hungry person up and the initial bits of meat were chewy but the pastry was lovely and the rest of the pie tasty . All of us had chips with our meals and they were the best chips I have eaten out in a while . All of us really enjoyed them. They were really hot and crispy. My husband had scampi and there was plenty of it and as a professional scampi eater 🤦🏼‍♀️ he had co complaints . We didn’t order pudding but were left to sit and chat and enjoy our drinks with staff clearing plates away promptly . All in all a good experience . Would have just liked the pie to have been slightly bigger and not a slice .

Pub recently taking over by an individual who leftt his Dog to rot to death in the back of his previous pub in The Railway Hotel Nantwitch. And the workers are in on it If you give these people your money you are supporting this and becoming a part of the problem! Absolutely vile. Poor pups

We visited the grove for Mother’s Day, 6 adults, 1 child. 3 x roast chicken, 2 x 8oz fillet steak, 1 children’s chicken nuggets +chips. My meal (steak) came out and looked great, although my stone wasn’t hot enough to cook my steak, onions and mushrooms, my steak although looked great, tasted horrible. £23 to only be satisfied with the chips! My wife also couldn’t eat the chicken and neither could my father Inlaw, only eating less that half there meals. I wouldn’t go back if I’d not Eaton for a month and was offered a free meal!

I got recommended this pub, I went there with my family and got a warm reception from the locals and staff. I would like to say this pub was like those gems that you come across every now and then, not fancy/hidden away and absolutely amazing, if you like fresh ingredients and good food this is the place for you, I would highly recommend eating at the Bell & Bails, delightful experience
