I have eaten here numerous times now ! The Indian dish’s have been excellent! Highly recommend the garlic chilli chicken or something a little less spicy the doupeza .

I got a delivery from here the food was nice, however the forgot my rice which I paid for when I rang up the argude with never again

Food has always been great but the last two orders really sucked, the latest order i had to pick the meat out of the bottom of the carrier bag because it had soaked through the box it was put in 😕 lucky the boxes on top survived so I had some warm ish chips and warm ish onion bhaji to go with it 😔 the food is definitely worth it if packed correctly tho

We ordered the set meal for 2 vegetarian starters with poppadoms my wife had the special mix sagwalla and loved the sauce I had special mix vindaloo so tasty with a lovely heat enough to taste everything and enjoy Nan bread too soft and flavorful. A gem of a place 😋

Seriously tasty food and excellent service

Ordered twice previously with no issues but this evening we received a delivery. Ordered 2 naan breads, 1 with garlic and 1 with cheese - both breads were totally plain , very disappointed.

The food is cooked fresh and the kitchen is visible - and they taste amazing. Very friendly staff. Definitely try the mix n match curry option. The only downside is you can't sit in, I hope they're able to expand to provide a dine in option.

Food was good. Unfortunately wasn't delivering. Its been 14 years since we last had food from here. Its still as good as it was when we had it in university halls.

Best takeaway in Chester, ordered set meal for two, most Saturdays 🥴, always fresh and hot,chicken melts in your mouth, and plenty left over for Sunday lunch, wdnt go anywhere else

Came highly recommended and I would highly recommend. Food is really fresh and the chicken was moist. Well balanced spice on both currys. If you like take away curries, this is a must for you!

Awesome food, great people! We came across this place while looking for a takeaway before our train. We ordered lamb karahi, mix veg & rice. The chef was really friendly (forgot to ask his name unfortunately), the food was 10/10, freshly prepared right in front of us. We surely will be back.

Really good chicken madras, rice and naan. Cooked to order, nice bit of spice, even got a hint of naga. Best madras I’ve had in a long time. Shame I’m only visiting as would come more often

Just been to the take away since it is under new management, the food was exceptionally good as was the service would defiantly recommend the premises was also very clean and tidy, would probably go as far as to say it the best Indian around Chester

I used to once like this food outlet but I had a chicken tikka masala x3 plus 2 boiled rice and a pillu rice. Plus 3 x naans bread. But the past 2 times now it was barely luke warm The chicken was dry as anything. And the nan breads were wet sloppy joes. The sauce had to many spices in pluss the sauce didn't look right either. I would NOT recommend this place if you want luke warm food. And it isn't nice tasting either

The tandoori mixed grill was really good. But the lamb in the rogan josh was gristle tough and inedible. All of it.

Always excellent food from Ahmed's. The delivery time seemed a long time from ordering but it arrived on-the-dot, and was well worth the wait. Almost no plastic used either which is a big plus.

Food arrived 45 minutes too early and when it arrived my food had leaked in the bag.

Need to seriously improve the curries as they were unsatisfactory. But thank you for being open tonight and taking our order

First time I’ve used this takeaway,the food was lovely and will definitely be ordering again. The food wasn’t quite ready at the time stated but it was worth the wait.

Food left us bloated all weekend, probably old food being served. The prawn puri did not taste fresh, most likely reheated. We had initially asked for a lamb curry, but Ahmed told us he had run out of lamb/beef. This was 6pm at the start of the Jubilee long busy weekend - who runs out so soon!? He offered only chicken. The chicken was probably old and the curry has left us both incredibly bloated and feeling sick, all weekend. I would not recommend.

Yet again another delicious meal delivery. Proper authentic Indian food with good quality meat. Large portions. Only a tiny place, blink and you'll pass it HOWEVER its much much better than these fancy places. Staff friendly as well

My favourite curry take away place in Chester. Had a Chicken Tikka Sylhety, which is amusingly described on the menu as 'slightly recommended'. It's fantastically tasty!! We live close to Indian restaurants that proclaim themselves to be 'award winning' and 'Chesters best', but nowhere has come close to the Ahmed. Will be back soon.

Food took 1 hour 45 minutes to get here. Called for an update and was shouted at and barely able to get any words out. It was absolutely ice cold. Warmed it up in the microwave and it was absolutely disgusting. The worst curry I’ve had in years.

The food I order was late, I phoned the restaurant and enquired about my meal, it turns out it was delivered to the wrong address. The restaurant dealt with the issue very quickly. I had a nice hot meal within 15mins. Was definitely worth waiting for.

Food was very tasty. Dopiaza didn’t have much spice to it but was very very flavourful. Chicken tikka madras absolutely spot on. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be ordering from here again.

Extremely unhygienic. A guy was wiping the table top with same cloth he was using to hold the meat while taking them off the skewers and the naan .... told him not to do this. Later i got tummy aches and vomiting.... not recommended at all

So I’ve had many Indian meals in my time, service wise the meal turned up on time after we had to tell the delivery driver where to arrive. He then wanted us to cross the road to collect our meal over seventy pounds worth of food I absolutely refused to do that. I checked the meal and the rice was missing, Nan bread was wrong to what I ordered. I base all meals off the mint sauce that was delivered it’s supposed to be green it was white and tasted tasteless and I threw 6 cartons away at 60p a pot the food was watery to the extent we had to drain it and tip it in the sink. The food was horrendous watery way to much oil and tasteless. For any price I’d say that wasn’t good enough but for over 70 pounds I’m dubious to order from Chester area again. I literally could of made better. This Indian restaurant is taking money under false pretences and still have three work lads may not be able to work today due to bowel problems do not use this restaurant!!!!

Not much meat in main disk : About 8 (maybe 9) pieces of lamb in the main. Mixed kebab starter was tasty though.

Pretty sure Ahmed spat in my curry.... Abseloutely shocking, I slowly opened the packaging, and I discovered a massive blob of fluid in the curry which I soon realised was saliva. Certainly would avoid unless you like spit in your food

Hi, I have had this meal every time we have ordered from you and it’s been absolutely lovely. This time though my husband wanted the same. It was very disappointing when it came as the sauce was in a (slightly) bigger container but there was not enough sauce for us both. As we examined this we tipped it into one of the foil trays it normally comes in and it just made half full point. If we order this again can we please have two separate sauces for us both as the portion was not right. Apart from that as I say it is a beautiful dish, thank you.

Visiting Chester for a couple of days. Ordered from Ahmed Indian takeaway as it was very easy to order online and it was 5 mins walk from where I was staying. Could have had it delivered but preferred to collect. It was ready in 20 mins. Food was very nice and hot. Would definitely use them again.

Order was missing the popadoms, shame as we had purchased the chutney try as well. Poor quality chips. Some of the Rice lumpy and stuck together. Some of the lamb was strange,not fat or gristle looked like muscle but couldn’t eat it. Unfortunately can not recommend and will definitely not order again.
