Food is of an average quality with a premium price tag. Sometimes the food is excellent and sometimes the food can be poor, it all depends on when you visit. Nice outside seating area for an outside drink of a summers day

My wife and I had a lovely evening. The views are stunning, the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. We both had the sirloin steak as our main and the salted caramel tart. Both the main and desert were fantastic just right portions and the food was cooked to perfection. A wonderful place to enjoy a Sunny Saturday evening meal.

Not worth a detour, but if you are staying at the hotel it is a good option.

Very expensive, noisy and tiny portions, for example I had the pollock with chorizo and claMs. I had 10 empty clamp shells on the plate along with a few cubes of chorizo and a pollock fillet, there were no potatoes, pasta, bread or any other extras to make the meal complete and this cost £17. Myself and members of our party left feeling hungry. The service was slow despite the restaurant being nearly empty and plenty of staff around. The food for our party was pre-ordered yet still a meal missing and wrong meal brought out for another person. On top of this the music from the wedding in the next room was booming through the wall so no relaxed ambience you would expect from an expensive restaurant. The quality of the food we did have was good and the dishes very tasty, such a shame. Left feeling disappointed and hungry and not likely to return.

Loved every mouthful. Nice menu, which i understand they change regularly. Some seasonal dishes on there, aswell as fish dishes, so lots of choice. Desserts were absolutely delicious and very well presented. Drinks included, its very reasonably priced for the standard of food. I could see them charging more if in a more favourable location. Which is the only minor downside, as the entrance is next to the gym/health club side of the hotel. Its a touch strange getting a whiff of chlorine just before stepping into a restaurant, albeit a comfortable, nicely decorated one. The food more than made up for it, if it needed to at all, and i will be returning. Great stuff.

I was going to go to Ask for lunch but the waiting staff were so grumpy and unfriendly vibes I about turned and thought nope I can do better... that I did. I was seated by a lovely lady and took my order. I had found a little gem in the bussle of Saturday market day. The display of cakes and ice-creams were very inviting... the panini I had was yummy and the cheesecake was calling out to me so I had to takeaway. The service I received from one particular person she even ran after me to give me a takeaway fork. Very happy to give this business my money for the quality of food and service was outstanding.

I needed some underwear to go under a special dress and wasn’t sure what I wanted. I approached a sales lady called Sonia who was amazingly helpful. She interrupted what she was doing and found online exactly what I needed and even ordered it for me. Many thanks Sonia

We have enjoyed numerous meals here but in the past couple of years quality seems to have steadily dropped, normally I would not leave a negative review to state this and put it down to a(nother) "bad day" in the kitchen. Last Sunday we ordered 3 x takeaway fish and chips and when we asked for a glass of tap water for our 11 year old son this was refused and we were informed we could only buy a bottle of over-priced mineral water. I questioned this and the surly staff member was insistent that no tap water was available. Thinking this must be a mistake I emailed White Row to complain but after a week I've received no reply. Please don't profiteer from selling water to children (paying customers!), it is cheap and nasty, and your lack of response speaks for itself. ------- Thank you for your reply below. An email was sent to cafe@whiterowfarm.co.uk last Sunday We did not request to dine in a playground. We sat at a table on the porch directly outside of your front door and nowhere near any playground. Obviously one should avoid glass in a playground and it is ironic therefore that you use this as the reason to sell glass bottles. Other cafes overcome this by providing disposable paper cups or re-usable plastic cups for outside use. An offer to pour a glass of water at the counter while ordering would have sufficed...
