Unpleasant member of staff (or the owner?) takes the joy out of shopping here. Gives you the impression you the customer are a bit of a nuisance. Such a shame as it’s otherwise a good shop. I wish I’d just ordered my item online. Won’t bother trying them again next time.

Numerous times I have popped in and the staff have been really rude. I have noticed just the basics like not saying hello when they see you and making you feel unwelcome. I have asked questions and they have been rude and abupt. It feels like they don't want my custom. A few times I have carried on as my partner loves a unique foodie gift. Yesterday I walked into the shop (the door was wide open) and one staff member snapped at me. She then banged on the sign on the front stating the opening times and very impolitely stated they had closed.

Forget the chain coffee shops in abundance and Waitrose round the corner, Added ingredients is a the place to go for a welcome break from trudging round the usual bland shops and supermarkets. Jill has a fine selection of continential delicacies and wines plus it's a great place just to relax for a short while with a coffee. The pastel de Nata take you straight to Portugal - in fact I believe the entire shop has bee transported from Spain or Portugal - so - somewhere over there, there is a big gaping hole in a parade of shops! Did I mention the wine tasting..... Will we be back, oh yes

Go here every few weeks for my refillable coffee (delicious) and cleaning products. Then I sometimes treat myself to a custard tart - they're so good! Owner is really friendly and genuine.

Very enjoyable Rioja wine tasting evening, hosted by Jill, the owner. Yet again showing not just some really interesting wines, Jill's passion for the subject but also some of the great produce available at Added Ingredients.

Wonderful place to go to for lunch and also ingredients if you need them. Staff are friendly and happy to make you whatever you want in a sandwich. Ingredients taste fresh with bread homemade. I always look forward to getting my best lunch of the week from here.

Always worth dropping in to see what new. I suggest going here before doing any other food shopping so that you have a need to try something new. Great independent deli with a wide range of high-quality products. Whether it be cheese, coffee, wines, pasta, oils or utensils they are sure to have something to suit your needs. Very helpful & knowledgeable staff happy to help.

Have not really been in.Looks a bit ramshackle has all the juicer machines. When I looked in there were a couple of old women in there one of whom was sorting outstuff from a carrier bag all over the floor. Its has a bit of this a bit of that but Im very experienced and this looks well meaning but amateur.Just dont expect the freshest cheese 48 hours in from France!

A great independent deli with a wide range of high quality products. Whether it be cheese, coffee, wines, pasta, oils or utensils they are sure to have something to suit your needs. Very helpful & knowledgeable staff happy to help. Much nicer coffee than the national chains which you can drink in or take away. Everyday a new selection of specials for sandwiches, or select from the range of meats & cheeses, all freshly mad to order.

It's one of the few places around this area that sells good cheese and english wine. Never walk past - you just have to go in and find that bottle, jar, or kitchen utensil that you can't live without!

Fine cafe but the contents of the shop is the reason I visit. Great selection of kitchen utensils and ingredients. Bit pricey but local shops should be supported.

It was cold, wet and dark and I needed hot tea fast! Rosie's tea cafe closed at 5, and I spotted this place- they're open till 6 and are actually a foodie condiment, charcuterie, wine, gourmet cook store. The owner was very friendly-the Cotswold tea was served in a big hot tea pot - I also had a Portuguese custard cake which may have been fresher earlier in the day, the place was nice and warm had a great friendly low key vibe. It is not primarily an eating establishment so be ready for small tables and funky assortment of chairs.

From the outside, one would not guess at the treasures inside. They serve wonderful coffee (£2 per cup - compare with the Costa's around the corner!!) and tea, in shop so packed with delicious goodies (cakes, chocolate, spices, cheeses, sauces, etc., etc.) it is difficult to move around! This is my first port of call when visiting Abingdon, and I can recommend it to anyone who loves food and cooking! It is an independent treasure, and does things the chains cannot do! And the owner is a font of foodie wisdom!!

My favourite little deli-cafe-shop in Oxfordshire. Great wines too. Knowledgable friendly staff with all sorts of treats to discover, with locally and ethically sourced organics etc.

You can pick up some lovely ingredients here - pasta, cheese, bread, oils etc. It's nice to go somewhere that is not a chain and is run by friendly staff. Not many places to sit but if you strike lucky - sit and have the freshly brewed coffee.

Lovely friendly cafe and deli. One the small side as a cafe, but nice if you can fit in. Helpful advice on deli purchases, too!

I have started using them for my daily sandwich recently . It's a great place to get one as they make them freshly using quality ingredients and all for the same price ! Whilst other things in the shop can be a bit pricey the £3.50 they charge for a ciabatta is great value .

My only criticism is that Added Ingredients is a 90 minute journey for me.Called in last week for a quick lunch. The quality of food and service was second to none. After lunch we perused their extensive range of chutney and relishes and delicatessen items, filling our shopping bags to take home. For such exceptional quality the prices were extremely reasonable.Once again thank you.

I really liked their selection of foods, foodstuffs and cooking hardware/spices. A bit pricey but it is great to support them and they have everything in that realm of food and food prep in terms of breads, cheeses, prepared meats....

Had some drinks with my friends here yesterday. Great staff, good beers and wine. We had snacks and drinks but a lovely atmosphere and nice outside space which is perfect for sunny days.

Can't fault the service and the food was exceptional. The size of the portions incredible. Not sure we needed the starters. The plates on tables around us just looked amazing. Well done all.
