AMAZING speciality coffee, really some of the best i've had. I loved it so much I am so glad I found it on my trip, I went 3 times hah! It is very casual and small so dont expect a big restaurant atmosphere, this is more of a local cosy place where you can get a good casual simple meal. Really good.

Gosh…. This is THE place for breakfast in Camden if not the whole of London!!! Food is freshly prepared with the best ingredients…. Menu exciting, varied and healthy and as far from an ‘English traditional breakfast’ as possible!!! We went twice!!! Friendly, good service, … we were lucky with good weather and ate outside…. Attractive!!!!

I was looking for somewhere nearby for a quick, tasty breakfast. After a quick Tripadvisor search I came across this place and popped in. It’s convenient to Covent Garden, but I have to say I was disappointed by the food. The service was OK, but I wouldn’t say it was warm or welcoming. It was OK, I just expected more for the money

We were looking for somewhere to have brunch and after turning to trusty TA we found this amazing independent cafe. Situated in Covent Garden this tiny place is charming. With one large table and only 3 small round tables, you are encouraged to share and chat. There is also a covered area (with heaters) outside. We were lucky to walk in, however, booking is a must. The food was fabulous: green pea fitter with poached egg, avocado, chilli salsa and pea shoots and The Bondi, avocado, poached egg, goats cheese, pickled jalapeños, dukkah on sourdough. Beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The service was spot on, really friendly. Leave the coffee shop chains and give your hard earned money to this absolutely amazing independent. We can’t wait to return and will defo booked in advance.

Abuelo has good coffee, no doubt about that, but is it really worth the arrogance and the attitude? I don’t think so. Unacceptable service and mediocre food: you are mega failing your customers in 2/3 FYI Also - when you have no tables you should show your customers where to wait WITH A SMILE and also keep an eye on them once a table becomes available. Also, get your facts straight before you start accusing your customers for all sorts of rudeness to cover your inability to offer a good service. I am glad other people also call out the appalling attitude. Great jawb Abuelo! Grandpa would be proud :)

What a find this cafe was. Something totally unexpected on the menu, and we went with it. Green pea fritter and the Bondi. It was sensational, tasty, and delicious, just amazing. Followed by a lovely coffee. If breakfast can still be talked about later in the day, then they really have had a wow factor effect. It is also a great music choice to have in the background. If it wants something different, then this is the cafe to find.

Visited on a busy Saturday morning/afternoon without realising that you ideally need to book. Abuelo is a very small establishment with indoor seating for around 20 and larger outdoor seating for around 30. We waited outside for around 30 mins or so before one of the staff was able to seat us. Inside is typically reserved for bookings but the staff member made an exception once he realised that my partner was only a month or so removed from heart surgery and that indoors would be preferable. The menu is artisan and truly progressive everything we had was exceptional. I had the fig and ricotta on sour dough and the green pea fritter, so amazing, my partner had the banana bread with toasted coconut and honey comb, it looked insanely good. My only complaint, I ordered the bergamot margarita which I must say was one of the best margaritas I’ve ever had, the complaint however is that for £14 I’d expect more than 75ml of liquid total, including ice. That’s less than you get in those little cans of mixers for 75p lol We were serve by a really friendly and understanding server name Jack and his attentiveness and generosity have ensured that we will be returning

They got our order wrong. The correct order took a long time to come. And when it did it was cold. And on top of that the design on the cappuccino was a phallic symbol. Not a flower or swan gone wrong but clearly a deliberate phallic organ. Would not dine here again.

Beautiful food both in taste and in presentation. Great portion sizes for a great price considering it in in the centre of Covent garden. Easy to get to and easy to book online to reserve a table. They do accept walk-ins as well but on a busy day you may struggle to find a seat with a large group. We sat outside under the canapé and were served very quickly. Plenty of food for all diets and preference and some unique and unusual combinations of food. All freshly cooked but still arrived quickly. Definately worth a visit if you're in Covent Garden.

Certainly a unique atmosphere and very cosy! The food was delicious and not too expensive in terms of London pricing. If you don’t like having other people in your personal space, this place isn’t for you as it’s a very small venue and they do squeeze a lot of people in, even at doors open at 9am. It wasn’t a problem for us but I can imagine it not working for some people. One gripe was the gluten-free options were quite limited so maybe choose elsewhere if you have genuine allergy requirements as sadly the catering options seemed more attuned to vegan diets.

The food is good but the drinks are incredibly average. The iced chocolate was disgusting and the bottom of the glass was covered in cocoa powder paste, the fresh squeezed orange juice needed ice as it was very warm. As an Australian I can confirm that that is not at all what an iced chocolate is like. It was also served in a tiny water glass and was not worth even half the price we were charged. The cafe also seemed really understaffed for the amount of people there. Took twenty minutes to order food, the person who delivered our drinks asked if we'd ordered and we said no and she just walked off without taking the order. Long story short, the food is good, the drinks aren't value for money at all.

Great coffee...small vibey coffee spot. Too bad not enough space for a large group to eat. The food looked delicious but not ideal for groups of more than 4. Coffee was some of the best in the area.

Such a shame about the service, the food was really nice! Had to wait for a long time to be served. Bought out water but no glasses! The table was filthy, wasn’t cleaned before sitting us down. The match latte was lukewarm... would I go...

Visited around lunchtime, but we were glad we had reserved a table, there was quite a queue waiting. The place is really small, one long table (shown in picture) and a smaller one (or two) at the side. You have to squash up against others,...

Visited this lovely and cozy caf today with a friend. Had the chance to speak with the owner, a charismatic Argentinian with a vast knowledge of coffee and deco. Such a lovely place and staff! I’ll be going there again.

This is a lovely little Covent Garden cafe - food always feels fresh and delicious and the smoothies make me feel instantly perky. Eggs are delicious and I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. Only reason it’s not a five star is...

We were given this afternoon tea as a present. The menu for the afternoon tea looks good... but fails to deliver. "Mini brioche and sandwiches Ham, cheddar and mustard Chicken and pesto Cucumber, crème fraiche and smoked salmon Egg mayonnaise and cress." What we actually got was four very small squares of sandwich each, consisting of just the smoked salmon and the egg mayonnaise. Some small cakes as described and a scone. Some of the bread was not the freshest we've ever had, not stale, just not as soft as fresh bread. We were only offered one cup of tea or coffee. Every other afternoon tea we've had at other venues at least offered us additional drinks. It's not as if the place was busy, there were only a few occupied tables. As for atmosphere and ambiance, there was none, especially as the cleaner was hoovering around us and then using a floor polisher.

Delicious breakfast that included the entire buffet. Dinner and drinks in the bar were also nice. Great service.

Service was horrible, menu was supposed to be set but everything was in the middle half the stuff on the menu was missing. Entertainment was horrible. Not fun at all. Drinks came 40 mins after ordering all the time. Not friendly staff or service. Do not go, not worth it at all. Food was not great and you don’t even get what is on the set menu. We were a big group so we had to opt in for the set menu but we all left hungry. Staff is not helpful either, they made 11 people sit on a small table we ended up squeezing and sharing chairs. Disgusting. Service needs to be improved and food quality also. Do not believe what is on social media. Disgusting place.
