Absolutely lovely as usual. 10/10 from me.

Never had a problem before tonight but they said waiting time was an hour,but it was more 2 hours,then they got the order wrong.Spoils your whole Saturday night.Will not be using again which is a shame because food really nice.

Food tasty and hot, but waiting time for delivery terrible tonight. Ordered just after 7pm with a delivery estimate of 8.35pm being given. Chased order up at 08.40 to be advised it was on the line being cooked now, and it had been a very busy night for them (gent on the phone very polite and pleasant). Food eventually arrived just after 9.30pm. I appreciate it is a busy night, but perhaps orders should be stopped until caught up rather than just keeping on taking them and have customers waiting these lengths of time.

Order arrived very late. Food was fine, although the vindaloo seemed milder than I expected.

1st time ordering , salad was missing from both starters however the taste and flavour was outstand and looking forward to our next order

2nd order both times salad was missing both starters, c/tikka and mixed tandoori. tonight's madras had leaked alot inside the bag. the food last 2 orders were delicious, the best curry in a long time the lack of detail forgetting salads to accompany starters and after calling tonight to request my madras be milder at all , agreed, it was hot hot, could not manage hot, the taste and flavours were amazing just to hot for me which was a shame. it's a shame to loose stars on salad/heat. would rtrn

First time to abbeys defo go bk food very tadty

first ordered at .626 delivery time 7.10 then changed to 8.10 to 8.30 it was delivered at 8.40 the food was hot and very nice

Took 2 hours for delivery, no salad with the starters either, much better takeaways in Shields than this 1. Wont be ordering again.

Absolute quality and great price, the king prawn dishes have us coming back streets ahead of other Indian take aways our new favourite! They are busy on weekends so be prepared to wait but it arrives piping hot!

Been ordering from here for a long time get the same order chicken tikka with rice chips and nan bread came tonight it was cold nan bread over cooked it was hard chips and rice undercooked put in complaint and they just brushed it off no one even ate it no ordering from.here again

Ordered with a quote time of 50 minutes, this was changed to 1 hour - 1 hour 15. Still no food at the 2 hour mark. Prompted restaurant and they added another 30 mins to delivery time without telling me. Cancelled order!

Always a consistently brilliant meal from the team in Abbeys. Hardly surprising they're so busy as quality of food is amazing and service from the team is fantastic. Keep up the brilliant work, would recommend to anyone.

The food from here is honestly amazing, I’ve been getting from here for years but the delivery times now are a joke, having to wait almost 3 hours for a curry just isn’t for me. Rang the restaurant and was told they had too many orders, then why accept them ? Not even an apology on the phone and was told my food was with the driver. Then took a further 40 minutes to arrive. Not happy and expect a full refund.

Waited 2.5 hours from ordering at 17:45 for my food, order was later than the time they gave me by over an hour. Ended up calling and was fobbed off and told the driver will be with you in a couple of minutes. Poor service and not shocking delivery time - it’s a shame as the food was really nice.

forgot pompadoms rice was bland mixed kebab had no salad rang to say didn't get salad why ? never again plus lady on phone needs some customer service training

Nearly a 4 hour wait. Ordered 6:15 came nearly 10 past 10. Chicken wasn’t cooked properly. But everything else was nice .

absolutely insane the curries from here.So tasty and of very good quality and taste and loads of meat .beautiful. I won't go anywhere else

I ordered at 6.18pm and arrived at 9.30pm. over 3 hours for delivery and told twice it was being packed when it wasn't. starters had no salad. curries hardly had any base sauce and were way too thick. The onions in both curries were barely cooked. Rice was thankfully ok, which isnt much of a saving grace. Wouldn't order from here again.

despite the problems abbeys had tonight. the food was still amazing And to give them credit they did keep me up to date with what was happening. just don't order when they have 50% off. You could be in for a wait

3 hours late and one very Hungary child! One meal hot but the other stone cold! Next time just do a special offer for collection only!

Bhajis were like leather, chips seemed old and had been reheated. Had some chicken which smelled like bad eggs so left the rest. Never had a problem before but won't be ordering from there again.

Food is great and can't knock it, however the attitude on the delivery driver is absolutely disgusting and they need to replace him so sadly won't order again due to this

Started using Abby’s South Shields around 6 months ago after being recommended by a friend and have been meaning to leave a review for a while but kept forgetting. So, had about 10-12 orders now and have to say the food has been superb every time, with last weeks Beef Madras being one of the nicest I’ve ever had anywhere ! It’s great that they are consistent in the quality - not everywhere is ! To top it off, delivery is usually earlier than specified, and the delivery staff are very friendly.

Food came 30 mins before it was due which would have been great if we were given the correct items. Gave us chips instead of naan. We don’t eat chips hence why we ordered a naan. Payed almost £30 got offered free starter but missing the free starter. Onion bhaji were cold as well. Curry’s were fine but not very hot. Rice was the best thing. Disappointed when paying so much deffo expected better :(

Was initially put off by the neon red colour but it was very tasty, light and fresh. Will try more.

Wouldn't go anywhere other than Abbeys. Not had a bad experience. Tonight however I ordered my usual and an extra curry appeared in my delivery in error. Called the shop to let them know and was told to keep it and enjoy it! Food is always amazing and service is even better!

This complaint is not for Abby's it is for two Sundays dinners I ordered on Sunday it took my money and the restraunt was closed I want my refund and how come I don't get any discount vouchers all the orders I do

The staff curry i had off the menu waa really bad full of okra about 3 pices of chicken all so dry cld not eat it the curry went in the bin i have pictures of this normally nice from here but sorry that staff curry was vile i wont order again

Ordered over £70 worth of food for the family and everything was spot on. Nothing missing or incorrect and tasted great thank you.

Ordered chicken tikka main, vindaloo chicken, chips, rice, nan bread, sheek kebab. The chicken tikka was yesterday’s. It was hard and had a rancid taste. Also the chicken in the curry tasted rancid. I’ll stay with Viking tandoori next time. Only went here on a friend’s recommendation. Never again. Rotten. Getting money back.
