AA Charcoal Grill in Brighton and Hove

gave my housemate food poisoning, he threw up all night. avoid the chicken shish!!!!

Tonight was a 1st. Dinner came too £31.00. Paid £35, delivery driver just presumed he was keeping the change and walked off. When ordering I purposefully asked for no salt and vinegar on the chips as my missus is allergic to salt. Arrived covered in salt. I rang to say that it was wrong and was told never as he done it himself. Also a few hairs in the salad. Gone downhill. In the reply i can see he has accused me of lying but will easily upload my cctv to show driver walking away with change and also upload pics to show dinner in the bin AGAIN. Can you afford to put £32 in the bin? Have a think. The overall reviews are not all that great.

The food is delicious.. their burgers be it pounder burger, half pounder burger, wraps, fries everything is awesome... The guys working are friendly and create a warm atmosphere.. the salad served along with the dishes are fresh,, sauces are too good... Overall my go to place...

I would highly recommend their chicken döner wrap. Their restaurant is v clean and food is v tasty. They are also v quick with delivery in the evenings.

Me my partner and granddaughter . Order kebab. Omg even my grandaughter could not eat it 😫. But the seagulls loved it .honestly dry cold and simply dreadful 😪

I’ve only ever ordered takeaway from this place and every time I do the delivery is always a reasonable time, the food always tastes fresh and is never greasy. It is genuinely my favourite kebab in the area and they give the salad separately in a small bag which we always love so much instead of it being dumped on the food. I could not recommend them enough :))

This is the second time buying from here and I've always been satisfied with my food so have my children.. and thank you aa chargrill reminds me back when I was a child my nan used to run a chippy and omg the kebabs take me back I've never Been able to find the chicken and how it marinated and cooked in another shop and the taste of the chicken shish is divine I thank you..... so enjoy everyone this place is nice.

Have had in total 5 incorrect meals from this place so never ordering from them again I’ve messaged them but been ignored. I’ve even tried to claim my money back through just eat because of another wrong order, But God only knows what they tell Just eat as i didn't get my money back! Be prepared to get a wrong order , It’s like they don’t care as long as they get your money. Very poor indeed .

Absolutely appalling,got my delivery,my burger was cold,phoned to complain,the guy said I don’t know what you want me to do,I cook it on the grill and it gets delivered,I said I expect if I’m ordering hot food,it comes hot,I shouldn’t have to heat it up in the microwave

We decided to get a delivery from here. My husband and I had chicken strips and cheesy chips and my son had a chicken wrap. It said 45mins delivery which was ok as we were not in a hurry, it turned up about 15mins later. The food was tasty and it was hot. Would recommend.

Have ordered from here many times and is always super quick and fresh. Although they had made a mistake of adding sauce when we asked for none (the first time this has ever happened) they were so lovely on the phone and offered to make a fresh one that was here within less than 10 minutes. Outstanding service and amazing food would highly recommend!!

Damn good chicken shish wrap! Best I’ve found in Brighton so far (though I have a few more to try yet) and great value for money at £7.90 (reg). Very generous with the amount of chicken. Will definitely be back for more of the same.

We always use this place and order the shish chicken kebab which is in my opinion spot on! Never had a bad meal so if you want a good kebab then look no further! I can’t speak for delivery as I always collect in person and never an issue.

Absolutely rate this place. A staple in the community, I’ve had many kebabs from this gaff and they’re Always consist, and best part is you can ask them to bring a card reader like the old school days. No £4.99 delivery charge on muggy Deliveroo. hats off to this boys.

The stuff were lovely and helpful. Only thing is they're lacking a bit with vegan main options but the vegan cookie dough dessert was a proper treat

I was so excited to finally have a good pub on our doorstep. It's the kind of food you would expect from a chain, it was pretty average and ok! However we have just had a roast, it was pretty terrible. A few scraps of veg, 3 tiny new potato sized roasties and 2 slabs of meat. We had the beef, chicken and nut roast on our table, all pretty awful, there just wasn't enough veg to fill the plate, they just spaced it out! They ran out of yorkshires too but nothing to replace the gap!

Used to be a good down to earth kebab shop when Murat owned it. It's now under new management since Murat selled up. The quality and quantity of food is still as good as it was but the price has increased by over 30%. That, I find is not acceptable. As an example, a combination wrap went from £7.50 to £9.90 I find that £7.50 is on the top side but now £9.90.for the same dish is no llonger worth it. After many years giving them my service, the increase today sees the end of my support. I did take some photos promoting AA charcoal grill and had over 2 million views but now I can't give it my endorsement anymore so will have to withdraw those photos from Google. Is a shame that under new management, the greed to make profit is driving customers away.

I am normally happy with this place but tonight the delivery was very late advised 60 minutes but near on 90 minutes my food cold and they did not answer the phone 12 times understand it is Saturday but this was disgraceful and will not consider ordering again!

WE LOVE AA CHARCOAL GRILL! It really is unlike any other kebaby in Brighton. Top quality. The staff make up your order with passion and love (and with a smile!) and their ingredients are always fresh and delicious. Their chilli sauce is particularly yum. Very generous portions, veggie options and reasonable prices. :)

Fast delivery good customer service on the phone

Normally a really lovely place to order from, but my last two orders the staff did not listen to my special requests including a serious allergy - and when the food arrived it was cold :-(

We ordered wraps for delivery. We were pleasantly surprised. Very tasty, good portion and tasty for a 'dirty take away'.

Really bad food! I ate around 8pm and been spending the night in the toilet puking and diarrhea. Before that big stomach ache for 3 hours. DON'T EAT ANYTHING

Wonderfully hilarious place to visit on a Friday/Saturday night when everyone's coming back from their nights out. The staff are literal warriors and are fierce to watch at work!

This was supposed to be little peices of chicken. It was actually peices of fat, bone and grizzle! It made me feel very ill when I realised what I was eating. Do not go there for food!

Hadn't got a kebab from here in years and didn't remember them being great so swerved it.... Until tonight. I was really quite pleasantly surprised. I got lamb shish in container. The lamb was lovely and tender and loads of it. Salad fresh . Will order again.

Don't go to this place, I placed an order as a regular customer and the food wasn't cooked properly. So I advise to give it a wide berth.

Ordered through uber eats. Is awful! Kids meal size. Took out £5.95 large cheese chips and got a handful of chips. Large lamb donner. It's a joke that you pat 9 quid for this size 😬 never again. It's worst kebab I had in my whole life. I hope this kebab shop won't last for long with this type of service! Please don't order unless you like to feel disappointed.

Ordered a lamb kebab and was packaged neatly separating meat, salad and pita, quality portions and food arrived hot. Doner meat was perfect in between, not too dry or not too oily and greasy, defo recommend

Ordered twice in one night half hour apart first was on just eat food came early fine food was lovely second time I ordered it on deliveroo only half hour after I got the one from just eat anyway second time on deliveroo they didn't update delivery time it was an hour late after I called restaurant they still didn't update the delivery time on the app and my food came and it was not nice this time they just either choose to cook certain meals properly or they have a few different cooks but some of them clearly can't cook would never order again because I'd be unaware as to whether my food would come cooked properly or not laziness pure laziness takes 2 seconds to update delivery time

I could of incubated a egg then raised the chicken faster then It took these to deliver me a kebab. Absolutely clucking awful 👎

The burger was dry, the fries had no cheese; they were cheesy chips and didn't have cheese. I used a semi colon and this food was so bad I bet the chefs don't even know what that is. It arrived late and also gave my little brother a hernia, my little sister a heart attack and it gave me obesity. NO LAMB SAUCE, WAS ALSO VERY RAW

Bloke on the phone was really lairy when I complained about my food taking 3 hours to come. Andnwas constantly told 10 mins when I started calling 90 mins in.He sounded really thick too and could barely string a sentence together. Food arrived soggy. Place is obviously ran by morons as half the reviews I've seen are similar.

Unlike lots of delivery services in Brighton, I can order a meal for one from here without breaking the bank and on minimum order value for your fast delivery, also you can get money back if you order direct. The chicken and lamb shish are always hot and fresh and come with a lovely crisp salad and hot pitta.

I ordered from here through uber eats as I checked out I noticed that my sons order had changed from a lamb kebab to a lamb wrap so I immediately rang the restaurant & they said they would change it. When the order came it was wrong & they sent 1 tiny pot of salad for two kebabs & 1 tiny dollop of mayo in a pot again to share between two. Would definitely not recommend restaurant was no help when I called them to say order was wrong. Terrible service

I have just ordered a meal from charcoal and Deliveroo, yet again, delivered the wrong order. When I rang Charcoal Grill, they instantly started cooking our original order again for free.
