One of my favourite places in Altrincham for a quiet drink. I'm told it is changing hands so looking forward to revisiting when the new owners have taken over. Always good clean beers on tap and plenty of choice.

My fiancé and I visited this bar on Sunday evening, there were 6 people in the bar in total. Struggling to hear each other speak as we were sat across from each other due to two locals discussing various political issues with every second word f###ing and tw#t and c##t , I complained to the bar staff to ask if they could intervene and ask if they could ask these customers to refrain and tone done their volume. The bar staff stated that these customers "weren't doing anything wrong"... The bar staff stated I could go and sit outside if I liked. As this type of conversation continued, I asked these customers myself to stop to which they agreed. In all the bar staff are in effective and show extreme favouritism to locals/friends.

Pi Bar is an absolute gem in the centre of the vibrant Altrincham market area. There is a great selection of beers/ drinks. It is a most chilled place to relax in and watch the world go by from the front room or just unwind in the secret garden at the rear. There is also a large room upstairs which is perfect for a private function or gathering. You may choose to have a friendly chat with the visitors or the lovely staff including, Will, Pat, Anna and Oscar who all go out of their way to make your stay a most welcome experience. If you are travelling to Altrincham anytime the Pi Bar is a must visit destination. Highly recommended..!

We use to live in Althincham for a couple years so when we returned to visit the Christmas markets, we HAD to re-visit PI for one of their delicious savory Pieminister pies - they are the best! These pies are the ONLY food we loved in the UK. The pub has a great assortment of beers on tap and wait staff is very friendly and helpful. The pub itself is cozy as a proper British pub should be. Although not on the main high street in Altrincham, it's close by and worth seeking out. If we ever return to Altrincham again, we'll definitely eat at a Bar called PI!

We took over 4 small tables and was told by the bar staff that we were taking up too many tables, I looked round the room and a couple of tables had one person and another had 2 people sat at them and they didn't say anything to them. THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO TREAT CUSTOMERS, we were not noisy only there for a family reunion. We obviously went elsewhere where we were welcomed as you would expect. Very upset by their attitude.

We visited this bar in Altrincham recently and enjoyed some good food & drink...The bar is split over two floors and has 3 or 4 real ales handpumps... other drinks are available such as cider & perry, plus some beers from around the world and some continental bottled beers...The guest beers are from both micro breweries and some better known breweries such as Saltaire, Red Willow, First Chop & Seven Brothers... this place is mainly for ale lovers and the service is welcoming and friendly, with the bar staff happy to discuss the ale they serve...If you sit outside and it's a bit chilly staff even offer blankets and some free peanuts... the food on offer here is from the Piemaster range and we enjoyed the pie & mash - very tasty and reasonably priced...This pub maybe a hidden gem, and a little hard to find at first, but once discovered i'm sure you will return...

Popped in during December for a couple of pre-Christmas drinks. The bar was busy and quite compact, but that helped with the atmosphere. There were quite a few folk settling down to some pretty good looking food based around home made pies which looked really good.Beer was good with a decent choice of the guys behind the bar were happy to discuss different types of beer available without sounding like members of the campaign for real ale. Toilets were pretty awful, but that seems a pretty common theme to any bar nowadays.

Excellent and award-winning Altrincham town centre bar with a wide choice of well kept real ale (three handpulls - locally brewed Tatton Blonde, and a couple from the Macclesfield Redwillow brewery on our visit - all well worth trying), also craft ale, and beers from around the world on tap and bottled in an impressive and extensive beer menu. The pies are good (though expensive) the minty peas and gravy fine, I just get annoyed by the instant mashed potato that they keep on serving. It's the shame my boyfriend and I are not big drinkers otherwise after our delicious pie and mash (which was extremely reasonably priced) I could have stayed there all night supping through their large selection of ales and beers. Friendly and helpful staff! Definitely be visiting again!

I had been invited to the venue for a few friends' birthdays. Normally the Northern Quarter is my choice of night out, but I was tempted to go to Pi as it has an awesome choice of beers. The venue itself is small, but cosy. The downside to its size is that the noise level is horrendous, and we spent all night shouting to each other, so it's not really conducive to a chilled evening out, but judging by the raucous groups upstairs, it is a jolly good place to go and get drunk and lairy. All of that I can handle though, I'm used to pubs. However, I was unprepared to tolerate the incredibly rude way I was treated by the waiter bringing food. There was a misunderstanding about our food order. Instead of politely saying he would look into it, the waiter rudely barked at me that he could get some mash for me. There was no hint of excellent or even good customer service. I challenged him on his rudeness, privately, empathising that I am aware it's a hard job, noisy environment etc. but he was still rude and although he apologised it was evident he didn't give a damn. Contrastingly, the men behind the bar were more convivial. I will however not be going back there as his rude manner, quite frankly ruined my evening. I'll stick to the Northern Quarter or try some other good ale places in Altrincham. If management do read this, you might like to impress on your waiting staff that a smile and manners goes a long way.

This is a lovely Bohemian venue which serves coffee, teas, craft ales and speciality lagers as well as a choice of four wonderful pies. Once again I chose the Matador that had juicy chunks of moist and steak with olives, Chorizio sausage and a very tasty sauce. I had the mash with it too and one can have mushy peas and gravy too. The pies are £4.95 and there are vegetarian options too. Children are welcome. Excellent food and drink, great service and atmosphere and very good value.

Visited with a party of 4 friends one Sunday afternoon with the intention of all dining on their pies. We purchased (not cheap) drinks and adjourned to a table. We began chatting and were not particularly loud however we were asked to be quiet as we were disturbung other customers. By customers we can only assume the barman meant the only other person in there who was reading a book nursing a cup of coffee...As we were just chatting, not in raised vopices or rowdily, we took exception to this, drank our drinks and left. Sadly they lost a good few rounds of drinks, a table of food for 5 covers and earned a negative review here....and at around £25 a round it wasnt cheap!!! With all the new places springing up around this area, they need to up their game, or change the staff!

The beers and ciders as wells as spirits and coffees are excellent and always served with free peanuts! They serve a range of four award winning pies and today I had the Matador with mash potato. The pie was so full of flavour with succulent beef in a stunning sauce with olives and chorizio sausages too. The meal was less than £6. The venue is bohemian and a great addition to the pleasant but formula chains of pubs and coffee shops. Opposite the market it is a great venue and a place to enjoy.

We spent Christmas eve in pi this year and have been regular visitors for a while. It's a great little bar day or night. Always a nice atmosphere. Good range of beers available and I really enjoy the fruit beers. The pies are really good, as are the mash and gravy which you can choose to have with it. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

Popped in for lunch and a pie and a pint. Nice small minimalist bar, good range of beers and a few pies for food. There are 5 or 6 pies which you add either mash, peas or gravy - or all of them. The chicken, leek and ham pie was delicious with good quality meat, thick rich sauce and excellent pastry.Mash was good too. Perfect.

Excellent choice of beers and pies by Pieminister (presume from the name they're owned by the same co.) relaxed and friendly right in the heart of the trendy redeveloped food market area, great way to while away a few hours.

Came in on Saturday bank holiday asking if there was any mocktails (pregnant woman here really missing my alcohol 😂) Lovely manager named Beth showed me the mocktails but added if there was anything not on there that I fancied she liked a challenge. Now I am a big whiskey drinker and love dry drinks, not a sweet fan. So when I was looking at the mocktails and she advised me she could make me a drink like a whiskey sours I was sold. IT WAS DELICIOUS!!! Its worth noting your other members of staff I dealt with were all lovely and friendly aswell despite it being a very busy bank holiday Saturday. You all made a fed up pregnant woman very happy and I will be recommending you to everyone and will definitely be back when I can have a real drink :)

I’ve been going to Nikkis for years, very handy for me and I’ve never been let down. Nikki is very friendly, always have a chat and some good banter with her. Food never disappoints, quality is consistently good and is excellent value. I recommend to anyone for breakfast and lunch time eats.

Ordered vanilla cupcakes. There were some chocolate ones which I did not ask for. They looked very pretty but they did not taste nice at all. The sponge was not at all tasty and was very dry. The butter cream type topping didn't taste like butter cream (which is what I was told it would be) and was sickeningly sweet...even the children disliked them. I would say the quality of supermarket cakes far exceeds those purchased from Zahra Cakes. Was not going to post a review but had I seen a review like this I would have thought twice about purchasing cupcakes from here. I would definitely not purchase them again...

I visited with a friend and our 1 year olds. The baby area is quite small but we liked this as they could crawl around in view and there was enough there to entertain them. The older kids section looked great fun too, fab treehouse theme throughout. Areas are well kept, staff helpful and food yummy. I'll definately be back 😁
