63rd + 1st - Cobham in Elmbridge

My first time visiting here for an extended family lunch. Sadly my overall review is not great in terms of service and being overcharged but most of the meals were really good! Sadly our waitress didn't really know anything about the food on offer when asked about the size of the prawn dishes and what was in the sauces for the steaks. Thankfully when most of the starters were brought to us, the delivery was good except that one of our party's starter was delayed. 15 mins later, still no starter and the rest of us had almost finished so we cancelled it. When the mains arrived, all looked great but sadly the steaks which were only offered either either rare or well done, was delivered more medium than rare which was sent back. Most of the meals were pretty good, tasty and a good portion size. We were surprised that whilst a child's menu was available, no child's dessert menu was, so we were charged £6.75 for one scoop of ice cream for the 3 year old (standard portion 3 scoops). Coupled with the menu offering two courses for a price, this was not reflected on the bill so therefore overcharged. Suffice to say, when queried this was adjusted and the cost for the ice cream refunded, however, we didn't like having to make these queries and felt quite uncomfortable doing so. We were also only willing to pay half of the automatically added 12.5% service charge due to the poor service received. A point to be mentioned too are the toilets which are so low, they seem more appropriate for young children and by the looks of things, it was a shock to previous guests as the toilet was very loose on the wall. Such a shame, as we were looking forward to trying somewhere different in Cobham. When restaurants charge premium prices, one would expect more knowledgeable waiting staff and a more efficient service. Thank goodness most of the meals tasted pretty good.

First time here Can not rate it highly enough Food exceeded expectations Really lovely Special mention to Sam He knows his cocktails. After being to so many places that produce synthetic ones to this a joy Staff were lovely Will be back !!

I was out Sunday Oct 8th with some friends in Cobham - High street area. By passing by 63rd & 1st street restaurant, we decided to get in for lunch. I noticed a very beautiful smile welcoming us, her name is Sherine. She got a nice table for us, and we got the best service ever, the food was great, and amazing atmosphere. Thank you Sherine for your hospitality, definitely will come again. Keep up the good work and beautiful smile.

My last review was deleted. Food was average at best, steak was chewy and no flow with the service. Cocktails looked good, ideal place for drinks but wouldn’t recommend going for the over priced food

Went for my parents' anniversary. Phoned the day before to see if they could do a pina colada which is not on the standard drinks menu. They checked to see they had all the required ingredients in stock and confirmed they could. It wasn't particularly busy and we had the whole lounge area to ourselves. Staff were very attentive and friendly, drinks were amazing and my parents thoroughly enjoyed their anniversary drinks. Thank you very much.

Waited 15 mins at the bar before being asked if would like a drink (not busy on a Saturday evening) Staff seemed like could not be bothered when we moved to our table. My friend is dairy free. So after some time we were actually asked what we would like to eat. Mentioned about dairy free. Got given an iPad and then the server walked away. Was one dish on the main that was dairy free. Could have offered sea bass not cooked in butter but didn’t. Total indifference from the staff. We left. After walking around trying to pay someone for the two cocktails.

Not many reviews here for breakfast but we loved it for a chilled Sunday morning. The staff were so friendly and helpful too. We’ll be back!

Went for a quick bite to eat on Sunday lunch. Delicious Thai beef salad and an elderflower spritz. Great service. Definitely will go back!

First visit for Sunday Brunch with a friend and it was great. Lovely friendly staff and really good coffee. The food was also tasty and the bacon absolutely delicious. I will definitely return.

Overpriced for disappointing food. Butter was so solid it couldn’t be spread - even on the warm bread! Chips were so salty they were inedible. Fillet steak tasted as if it had been cooked on a surface which had been used to cook fish or something as flavour was really tainted. Burger sauce was so spicy the flavour overpowered everything else. Really disappointing.

Service is almost non existent and food takes forever to come after you eventually order. Shame as the interior of this restaurant is lovely, but the service massively lets it down.

Nice starters, average burgers, lovely cocktails. Self righteous abrasive staff. We dined with our 20 year old and 17 year old and they went out of their way to embarrass the girls. We simply wanted a bottle of wine to have with our meal and were told as it is a us company their policy is not to allow a 17 year old a wine glass. We advised this was not British law, the manager argued, walked away to check and never returned. I suggest to cater for a British market you follow uk law amd avoid embarrassing your diners . We won’t be returning.

Perfect location for brunch or coffee and pastries. The staff are very friendly and attentive and the manager makes time to interact with the customers. The food and beverages are varied and well balanced , and competitively priced. The seating arrangements allow for restaurant tables or coffee lounge as well as a drinks bar which adds to the atmosphere, as well as interesting background music. All in all a great venue.
