We met our friends for dinner. We were welcomed well. Our table was in the conservatory, which is quite tired and very loud. The menu is limited. Our food was delicious. The service was good but the waitress kept coming up to the table asking to clear glasses (quite annoying)

tried to book table for one for 12 30 sunday lunch today 14 april,told they were full,i ate there with my ex 3 weeks ago at 12 30 in the room at the rear we were the only one there in the rear,roon for 40, meal excellent. the guy today seemed hesitent i said i will sit outside in frustration he then told me today wasnt as warm as yesterday and my meal would get cold ,i eat there enough,if i go to black swan at ockham barbera the manager gives a table at anytime no booking needed cos she likes us shame on you plough paul morris 07593438955

Beef tartare was my favourite, had a Smokey taste to it, which was delicious. Burger was ok but I’ve had better. Pistachio custard was very good and was a big portion. Very nice atmosphere inside the restaurant and service was friendly and attentive! Would recommend!

On my daughter’s recommendation we dined at the Plough Inn for my birthday. I was a little anxious we’ve had some awful meals in recent years at other places, but wow my faith in dining out has been restored! From the moment we arrived my anxiety melted away, the Plough Inn is beautifully decorated inside, its warm and inviting all the staff were welcoming and professional especially Conor who waited on us, he helped us navigate all the different cuts of steak, his wine suggestion was perfect and the food was exceptional. My son, who considers himself a steak connoisseur, was impressed as he normally dines in London, so was pleasantly surprised that he can get this quality of dining on his doorstep and I suspect he will be making another visit to the Plough Inn soon. I received a glass of complimentary bubbly upon arrival as Conor overheard me saying it was my birthday. We ordered a Chateaubriand and T-Bone steak, chunky chips, hasselback potatoes, tenderstem broccoli, truffle mac & cheese, mixed salad and some grilled shell on prawns between 5 of us. The plates were warmed, the food was beautifully presented, the steak was cooked to perfection and nothing was left, we devoured the lot. We also had dessert which again was beautifully presented, I received a complimentary dessert with Happy Birthday written in chocolate across the plate. We ate, we drank and we laughed as a family and I couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate my birthday. I am so used to celebratory meals being punctuated with having to complain about poor service or cold, inedible food that it was a delight to just be able to eat and be happy and no one stopped to take photos because everything looked and was so delicious that we just all dove straight in - that I think says it all. As a family we would give The Plough Inn a 5 star plus review. In the immortal words of Arnie - We will be Back and I for one cannot wait!

It’s a lovely pub in a nice location. We went for a Sunday roast and I have to say I had high expectations for this place. The meat was one of the best I had, so tender. But the trimmings for the roast were really average and bland. The potatoes were awful and tasted of flour, gravy was too watery. The desserts were the star of the show! Recommend the sticky toffee pudding as it was amazing.

Food was very tasty. everything we ordered was nice. but teeny tiny portions and the garlic was bigger than the pork portion. Also was charged £4.50 for a bottle of water (which i assume was just from the tap as the glass bottle didn't have a seal and it was offered to us as if it was free). wouldn't have agreed to pay £4.50 for that for sure if we were told.

we had a great time for Sunday lunch . would raccomande the sourdough bread the beef tar tar and the smoked salmon the Sunday roast is a must .

Lovely food, but chateaubriabd and vegetables were not hot when served. Pricey for only lukewarm steaks. Service okay, not checking or offering sauces or more drink unless called over. Different waiters. Very nice ambiance and setting.

Amazing spot for a relax but delicious meal! Service is spot on, there when you need them but not asking you how your meal is x10 times. The chef is a miracle working, the food is sooo tasty and flavoursome. We got 1 cocktail, 2 diet cokes, 4 beers, 2 starters and 2 mains for £145 - so not cheap but honestly so worth it! Think we found our new spot!

What a lovely family lunch we had here for Mothers Day and also for our joint family birthday celebrations! We were served by delightful staff who were helpful and polite, giving us recommendations and drink options. Due to it being a busy day we moved to the bar to finish our last drinks and we were able to finish those there without feeling made to leave or outstaying our welcome. Delicious roast dinners and amazing steak tartare starter! Can't wait to come back!

An amazing lunch at the incredible Plough Inn. The experience from start to finish was impeccable- Freya and Duncan as front of house were warm , welcoming and efficient - Dan in the bar delivered a fabulous cocktail and the waiting staff were amazing - attentive but not intrusive (thank you Kelly and Connor) .The food, under Andrea and his team, was the best I’ve ever had. The most delicious and tender lamb rump and all the trimmings, then a cherry and crème fraiche sorbet. The pork and the ribeye were outstanding - quite frankly we didn’t want the meal to end. What an amazing job the team did on one of the busiest days of the year. You smashed it - thank You for such a wonderful experience

This is a superb place, I had fillet steak, and it was perfect. The vegetable sides were excellent too, and hasselback potatoes were a great accompaniment. The red wine was a perfect temperature, desserts were awesome, and the service spot on. We'll definitely revisit.

We shared a roast for two sharer and it was lovely! A cocktail and a beer went down nicely too. The service was a bit slow and no one seemed overly happy to be there but for sure would come back for a roast!

What a huge disappointment this Birthday family lunch turned out to be! Our table backed onto a window which doesn't have secondary glazing so there was a icy blast coming across our shoulders. Even though there was a radiator behind the seats it either wasn't working or switched on, I had to request blankets to keep us warm... the room was freezing! but worse than that, the food was served on cold plates and was inedible as it was all cold...not what we were expecting for sure! we were a party of 11 and most had to send their food back as it was so cold. The plates were returned with warmer food but everything was absolutely swimming in overly salty gravy...a small jug on the side would have been a better idea. Management didn't seem very interested in our feedback or our experience which was unexpected and frankly a bit insulting to our custom. They do not accept cash which is not mentioned anywhere on their website and with two payments to go their card readers crashed...suffice to say we won't be returning anytime soon...

Recently went for drinks at the Plough and had a lovely experience. It was our second visit, having dined there in early January, and we were again warmly welcomed in a friendly and professional manner. Our booked table still being occupied by other customers, we were offered a cosy sitting area in the charming snug which was even nicer. Both our cocktails arrived quickly and expertly mixed and we were checked on several times to ensure whether we had everything we needed. We look forward to visiting again, especially once the weather warms up so that we can enjoy the beautiful terrace.

Fabulous old pub converted to restaurant and cocktail bar, had excellent smoked sirloin steak and waited brilliantly by Jess, will definitely back again.

Really lovely pub, although it's so much more than that. The decor is really lovely, staff are excellent and the food is delicious. Honestly, can't recommend enough and am already looking forward to going back.

We were a group of 9 including 3 young kids and enjoyed the private room ‘the Snug’. We had visitors from abroad and the room gave a nice example of a cosy and family friendly pub atmosphere. The food was excellent - I had the Sunday roast with beef while my wife had the pork roast, both dishes were executed perfectly. I can confidently say the best roast in the area. I also ordered the steak tartare which was so good that we ordered it again. My only suggestion for improvement is to toast the bread with less heat as it tasted too burned (though it looked nice). The service was very friendly and attentive, we always felt we were looked after and the food and drinks all arrived on time. All in all an excellent pub visit.

The inn looks fine, food is good, although pretty pricey compared to the tiny burger I've ordered. The place was nearly empty but we still needed to wait 10 min to be seated. Later they wanted us to move to another room because we had a dog with us. About 10 minutes later another group came in with another dog and they were seated in the exact same room where no dogs are allowed allegedly...

Had the sharing roast for 2 which was amazing, followed by sticky toffee pudding. Only marking one star down as service was a little slow so were pushed to finish in our 2 hour time slot.

Everything was perfect! We were spoilt for choice with the cocktail selection. Our steak was cooked to perfection and the sides and wine complimented each another perfectly. Conor & Eddie were very attentive & knowledgable. The overall atmosphere was great, it is high-end but very comfortable and welcoming.

I cannot fault the service, food and wine! A special mention to Conor, who is an absolute asset and ensured our whole experience from start to finish was spot on. I will certainly be coming back for more food and wine!

We had a Sunday Roast and completely cleared our plates, staff were attentive and food tasted great. No complaints!

Food and service always amazing. The staff were extremely patient accommodating my changing requests (size of party kept changing so I needed different tables etc). Always a great treat.

We had lunch here, which was very good, particularly the pistachio custard dessert. It is clearly a very good steak restaurant and we’ll try one of the steak dishes next time.

Upon first sight the delightful pub looked quite small, but you enter into a warm and cosy bunch of locals. The place is a great size! Our space for the funeral fit snuggly about 50. It was well light, nicely heated and the staff were exceptional from start to finish personally and it was a pleasure to have had too class hospitality. I’m short. A pint of ale for under a fiver in a country pub in cobham. Wow. Thank you for finding a way to do that. Being involved in the industry I know how hard that is to achieve. It was never a problem but I have allergies to mayonnaise and even though there was plenty to eat. The time was taken to bring me a sandwich without. That was so kind. And most impressive was the individual professional service, while bringing banter and personality.

I went to a wedding at this location and they were excellent hosts. The food was nothing short of perfect with a three course meal including beetroot smoked salmon, pan fried cod in sauce, and strawberry and white chocolate cheesecake. The staff were accommodating, kind, and very helpful. The space was amazing and had a great atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place for an event.

My friend and I visited the plough Inn for a lunch recently. We throughly enjoyed our experience here. The service was exceptional (despite it being a busy Sunday) from the bar to the front of house staff; it was quick, efficient, and attentive. Hats off to the chefs who work here as every dish we were served was delicious. A special mention to the Steak tar tar, sticky toffee pudding, and the wonderful bar-special cocktails. This cozy Cobham pub/restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes prepared by a gifted Italian Chef Andrea and his talented team, beautiful presentation, wide wine list and wonderful dessert. I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again.

We went for a family Sunday Lunch, the food was amazing, the staff attentive and engaging and the atmosphere very warming. The food was so good, we went again that week for lunch. I would definitely return with friends and family as there was so many things on the menu that appealed even though I am pescatarian.

What a lovely experience we had here! I visited with my sister for a mid week meal. Firstly, the atmosphere and decor are stunning, warm, cosy, stylish, and clean. The wine selection was excellent. The menu was varied but not over facing. They had specials, a main menu and a £32 set menu, with around 4 choices per course. I had the salmon, bavette and fries and cheesecake. It was beautiful. Our waitress Freya was absolutely fabulous and obviously really enjoyed her job! Which is refreshing. Would happily return, highly recommended.

This little gem is amazing. The Sunday roast for 2, if you don’t have a huge appetite, is probably even enough for 3 people. The food in general is fantastic, thought the salted nuts were really nice. The place has a pretty chilled atmosphere, perfect for some Sunday relaxing.

Excellent steaks and a warm welcome. Our waitress Milly was attentive and informative, a real star. We will definitely be going back. Full marks!

Lovely pub with restaurant excellent service. One time for a quick snack. Deceptively big inside and a nice relaxing area of seating outside. The carpark is quite small and street parking challenging at busy times.

Fantastic pub with some high end dining. Garden is pretty with good seating and very attentive staff. A slight delay on receiving my first drink, but they kindly took it off the bill to say sorry. Food was outstanding, with the half lobster in brown butter sauce particularly good. Parking is a little tight but to be expected on a Saturday evening. Overall, I completely recommend it!

The service was great, staff are lovely and the Merlot and starters were so tasty. Sadly, the vegan burger and Wagu burger were beyond average and presented really poorly. I wish I had mentioned something to the waitress at the time which is on me, but the bread felt stale and for £20.00 - the wagu burger came with a limp piece of tomato and was tasteless. The vegan burger also felt stale. Came away feeling disappointed as the location, wine and starters were great but felt like I had paid over the odds for what looked like something from a burger van.

I cannot recommend this place enough. and that is after 1 visit. I havent been out to eat for quite a few years due to absolutely nowhere offering real food with less chemicals and fillers, wheat or dairy. From the moment Freya took my call about certain allergies and my booking I felt very confident. Freya also didn't treat me like a pain, as other places would or have their allergen menus that never makes sense and do not cover all needs. A 5 minute call with Freya and I was booked in for a meal with my father for my 49th birthday. Again the moment we arrived they helped with choosing a drink and explaining their sugar syrup is home made and what was in it. Not many places or workers know their produce well like Freya and the bar man. My father asked for a table near the window rather than the one offered and this was not a problem either. All waiter and waitresses were excellent, fun, friendly, highly efficient and spot on on taking orders with specifics for my allergy needs. My father commented on the cleanliness of the entire venue and the toilets too, also the beautiful comfortable chairs and glassware for our drinks. He also liked the working cutlery. Then the food arrived. Oh my....I don't think I have had such a delicious and perfect fillet steak as I had evr before. My father had 1 too and he felt the same. Cut like silt, melted in the mouth and the flavour was out of this world. No oils or butters used when cooking just their wonderful grill and my goodness it tasted so so good that every time I re think about I am salivating! The sides or broccoli, salad, chips and sauces were all perfect and so fresh! Both my Father and I devoured our fillet steaks and all food served. 3 days later i am still absolutely fine and no reactions had. I have finally been able to eat out again and this is due to Freya's initial phone call, then the excellence of all staff and chefs at the venue, plus their fantastic suppliers of produce. Neither my Father nor I can any fault about the booking, the evening, the food, the staff...it was all absolutely Fantastic. I cannot rate this place or staff and chefs enough. and I cannot wait to go back. My father and I have also told many about it since our meal, can't help but rave about something so so so good. Cannot thank Freya and all her team enough. Absolutely faultless and Pure Excellence in all. Thank you so much. Highly recommended.

Eaten in all of the Cobham and surrounding area pubs and restaurants and this is in my opinion the best value/quality. Amazing steaks! Had the tomahawk steak followed by treacle tart, yummy!

Travelled quite a way and it was worth it. Shared roast for two was amazing. I’ve tried pork belly many times only to be disappointed, pork belly today was the best. Jarrod who served us what an asset to the pub, very friendly, warm & sincere.

Although we live locally, it's been many years since were last at The Plough Inn, and it's ownership has changed more than once I think. It now is very much steak oriented. Grandson and I had the ribeye which was superb and perfectly seasoned. Strange that a restaurant having a reputation for its steaks does not have the option of serving bearnaise sauce: indeed, the server asked me what that is! Wife had a chicken based meal which she enjoyed. The burrata starter was the best burrata I've ever had. Service was good and at just the right level of interference/concern.

Last minute accommodation for five of us for a Saturday at five o’clock was a pleasant surprise, given most pubs’ kitchens in the area and south east from there were shut until later. Service excellent. Food, particularly the meat dishes were stellar. Two Wagu burgers...

The location, especially outside in the summer, is lovely, and inside is nice and cosy for long winter evenings. There are a good half a dozen pubs within striking distance of me, all good to great, and the Plough is my first choice every time.

Probably the best Sunday roast I’ve ever had in a pub/restaurant. Although a bit pricey , the portions are generous & the quality of the food was outstanding. The service was attentive & friendly. Would not hesitate to recommend it if yr in the Cobham area!

This is not your regular roast at the local... This is a sous-vided sirloin served with glossy, unctuous gravy, served by a knowledgeable, attentive staff. Cocktail list is fun and inventive and outdoor seating area was lush. Can't recommend this place enough, it's exactly what we've been missing.

I can’t fault the waiters and waitresses on the night and the food was exceptional. We didn’t have a single problem. The restaurant was beautiful, and we were allowed to decorate with banners and balloons. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back and to use them in the future!

Disappointing choices on our main meals could have been alitle bit more choices to choose from looking at the mains none of us thought it looked great but what we did have was tasty thats more important. Service manor could be improved, took away our chips without asking just took them away we were slowly enjoying them with our drinks before our next course. The young lady who took our order, seemed miserable, could have been abit more friendly. We wont be going back,there again only for drink's or if the menu slightly change's there was six in our group. Maybe we we were expecting too much we left alittle bit disappointed. On the whole it was not too bad.

If you want to experience one of the best roast dinners, you must visit . It is totally amazing. Staff are very friendly and attentive. One negative is the very small car park.

This is certainly a Gastropub with lovely food, but also with Gastronomical prices! Staff were really nice which balanced the cost somewhat.

Amazing experience. Second time we have been. Called the restaurant in advance to request a specific table, chateaubriand and wine as it was a birthday. All of these requests were sorted easily. Everything on the night went as requested. The staff were helpful and knowledgable, the steak and wine were to die for. We can’t wait for our next visit. Thank you a million times over!

This is not a restaurant i could afford to visit as regularly as i like but definitely one for special occasions. The food is incredible i had the smoked steak and i can honestly say it is by far the best i have ever had. And have told all my friends about it. I am actually creating special occasions to go back found the manager and staff incredibly friendly.

Pleasing interior, welcoming staff and meats smoked in-house. Food is on the pricier side but the quality and service justifies it.
