This was our 3rd year of having our family christmas meal here. Yet again we were not disappointed with our experience. The staff remembered us (im not sure if that is a good or bad thing hahaha), every single staff member was so respectful, always standing to one side as one of us came through, filling our glasses 🥂, making sure our food was all OK (which it was exceptional). 14 of us and all our meals were sublime. Not a plate left with a morsel on it. I can't praise this establishment enough. Every attention to detail was spot on. Nothing was too much trouble, even for one of our party who has multiple food allergies. Highly recommend a meal or party here. 5 stars from all 14 of us, thank you for yet another fantastic evening. We look forward to travelling from Wales to cobham next year for more of the same 😋😀

We went for a friends Christmas dinner on a Sunday afternoon. The pub itself it lovely and the food was very nice. I had some disappointing pointers however on our experience. The service was a little slow and forgotten items were have ordered which were taken off the receipt at the end as we mentioned food never arrived. You could tell they were making a few mistakes they gave a small bowl of chips because they over ordered somewhere else. At the end of the dinner we were asked if we wanted pudding some of us ordered, Once we ordered we were then told we only had 15 minutes to eat the pudding and pay for our meal because the table to taken after our booking. I thought this was bad service as why offer us a pudding and before the pudding arrives still only give us 15 minutes this was very much a rush. I understand it is a busy season, I was just disappointed at the end as I thought it was a bit rude.

I was dieting, but really difficult to find anything suitable on the extensive menu. Then saw a main course that was perfect only to be told I could only have that with a starter and desert as well as it was a "set meal." Ridiculous in my opinion. It was lunch and we all wanted just one main course. I end up having fish and chips, stripping all the batter off and giving the chips to my husband in exchange for his peas. I left very hungry and out of pocket to the tune of £30. The setting is very nice, no atmosphere as apart from us the place was empty. We won't return mainly because there are several other pubs in the area that do better for less.

I booked The Plough Inn’s private room (The Snug) for a baby shower and we were all blown away with the space, the service and the food! Firstly, the Sunday roasts are absolutely delicious, the best in the area- which is why it was booked for this event. Most of us had the roasts for two which I would highly recommend. Every plate was cleared which is always a good sign. The space was perfect for our event, and staff were super accommodating when we arrived early to set up & with decorating the space. The staff were all amazing, they ensured our glasses were never empty, were super helpful with all our requests, and helped to make the event a huge success. Such a pretty, cozy pub, 5 stars all round. Can’t wait to come back!

I’m giving 5 stars solely for the food and kitchen team. Gorgeous venue - sensational food. Attention to detail not great from front staff I.e. missing salt and pepper on the table, no check back, missed side dish - hard to get teams attention as nobody making eye contact - no birthday acknowledgement welcome which was mentioned in booking - thought they may have done a complimentary Prosecco for the birthday girl like most places - female host/manageress (not sure) was unnecessarily a touch abrasive when seating my me and my guests because I had a bottle of Evian in hand and told I was not allowed to drink this inside which was a bit bizarre to hear. Saw staff drinking bottles of coke behind the bar but there we go. Don’t think speakers were working - background music would have been more atmospheric. An absolute MUST for the food 😋

Very bad and unprofessional that obviously don’t have experience in restaurant industry. Some are too young and completely spaced out when taking orders while the older manager didn’t have training in how to talk politely to returning customers trying to buck up some mistakes of the chef or young personnel. Great concept and product, sadly not enough training. . . . . Thank you for your reply. Obviously you care about your business and indeed mistakes does happen everywhere. But might be worthy having a world to the manager so she learns how to be more polite and respectful to your clients. After pointing on the big mistake in the order she tried telling us off and blaming for mistakes. She said that her young staff did read the order back which we must have accepted so it’s our mistake… But we are not kids to mistakenly order a T-Bone steak or to recognize how the stake should be cooked…. As I said, mistakes happen, especially with the young’s staff quite frequently, but experienced managers should know how to handle those situations it so that the restaurant don’t loose it’s reputation and clients don’t leave with bitter feelings. As at the end of the day managers are the face of the restaurant and can spoil all the work that owners and chefs do. Talking from the experience or running number of high profile restaurants in central London.

Really lovely meal here for my mum's 70th. It's hard to get a good steak, especially in a pub! All 8 of us had steak and 2 shared the Tomahawk, all of us had excellent meals and for one guest in particular for her to praise as highly as she did, speaks volumes, hard to please is putting it mildly... I wanted a cocktail that wasn't on the menu, it was no trouble to whip several up. Staff were attentive without being in your face. One of the best meals we've had out in a long time and we do a pub post dog walk most weekends all over Surrey & Hants, it made an extremely positive & lasting impression and we will definitely be back!

We had lunch at the Plough Inn on a sunny sunday. Initially impressed as quite a trendy place, nice outdoor seating and decor and a decent menu. However it was definitely style over substance - the food was either way too salty or very bland despite it looking really nice and the service was very inattentive which is a real shame. Multiple times we had to go in search of staff for missing cutlery, our bill, more drinks/ food etc and it wasn’t particularly busy. Given the amount of decent pubs in the area, I can’t imagine we would visit again unless it was just to stop for a drink.

We didn't even know about it but a real gem hidden on the outskirt of Cobham! The pub is absolutely recommended! We went there on a Tuesday evening and it was gorgeous. We were looking for a warm place, quiet and with good food and we found just that. The steak was fantastic, cooked to perfection (or at least it was for me). The staff was lovely(from the moment i called to check if they had a table to arrival and service) and it just felt like this place should be our regular pub for casual dinner with family, friends or just for date night. We are about 15min drive away but I will happily do the drive just for such a nice steak. It wasn't what I would call cheap but for the quality of the wine, the food, the staff and the atmosphere, I will say it's actually really well priced. If the management sees my review, please don't change anything as it was really great! Update: went back for a birthday, order the surf and turf. Its a bit pricey but it's really lovely 😍

On my daughter’s recommendation we dined at the Plough Inn for my birthday. I was a little anxious we’ve had some awful meals in recent years at other places, but wow my faith in dining out has been restored! From the moment we arrived my anxiety melted away, the Plough Inn is beautifully decorated inside, its warm and inviting all the staff were welcoming and professional especially Conor who waited on us, he helped us navigate all the different cuts of steak, his wine suggestion was perfect and the food was exceptional. My son, who considers himself a steak connoisseur, was impressed as he normally dines in London, so was pleasantly surprised that he can get this quality of dining on his doorstep and I suspect he will be making another visit to the Plough Inn soon. I received a glass of complimentary bubbly upon arrival as Conor overheard me saying it was my birthday. We ordered a Chateaubriand and T-Bone steak, chunky chips, hasselback potatoes, tenderstem broccoli, truffle mac & cheese, mixed salad and some grilled shell on prawns between 5 of us. The plates were warmed, the food was beautifully presented, the steak was cooked to perfection and nothing was left, we devoured the lot. We also had dessert which again was beautifully presented, I received a complimentary dessert with Happy Birthday written in chocolate across the plate. We ate, we drank and we laughed as a family and I couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate my birthday. I am so used to celebratory meals being punctuated with having to complain about poor service or cold, inedible food that it was a delight to just be able to eat and be happy and no one stopped to take photos because everything looked and was so delicious that we just all dove straight in - that I think says it all. As a family we would give The Plough Inn a 5 star plus review. In the immortal words of Arnie - We will be Back and I for one cannot wait!

What a huge disappointment this Birthday family lunch turned out to be! Our table backed onto a window which doesn't have secondary glazing so there was a icy blast coming across our shoulders. Even though there was a radiator behind the seats it either wasn't working or switched on, I had to request blankets to keep us warm... the room was freezing! but worse than that, the food was served on cold plates and was inedible as it was all cold...not what we were expecting for sure! we were a party of 11 and most had to send their food back as it was so cold. The plates were returned with warmer food but everything was absolutely swimming in overly salty gravy...a small jug on the side would have been a better idea. Management didn't seem very interested in our feedback or our experience which was unexpected and frankly a bit insulting to our custom. They do not accept cash which is not mentioned anywhere on their website and with two payments to go their card readers crashed...suffice to say we won't be returning anytime soon...

The food was excellent - I had the Sunday roast with beef while my wife had the pork roast, both dishes were executed perfectly. I can confidently say the best roast in the area. I also ordered the steak tartare which was so good that we ordered it again. My only suggestion for improvement is to toast the bread with less heat as it tasted too burned (though it looked nice). The service was very friendly and attentive, we always felt we were looked after and the food and drinks all arrived on time. All in all an excellent pub visit.

The inn looks fine, food is good, although pretty pricey compared to the tiny burger I've ordered. The place was nearly empty but we still needed to wait 10 min to be seated. Later they wanted us to move to another room because we had a dog with us. About 10 minutes later another group came in with another dog and they were seated in the exact same room where no dogs are allowed allegedly...

Had the sharing roast for 2 which was amazing, followed by sticky toffee pudding. Only marking one star down as service was a little slow so were pushed to finish in our 2 hour time slot.

Everything was perfect! We were spoilt for choice with the cocktail selection. Our steak was cooked to perfection and the sides and wine complimented each another perfectly. Conor & Eddie were very attentive & knowledgable. The overall atmosphere was great, it is high-end but very comfortable and welcoming.

We had lunch here, which was very good, particularly the pistachio custard dessert. It is clearly a very good steak restaurant and we’ll try one of the steak dishes next time.

Upon first sight the delightful pub looked quite small, but you enter into a warm and cosy bunch of locals. The place is a great size! Our space for the funeral fit snuggly about 50. It was well light, nicely heated and the staff were exceptional from start to finish personally and it was a pleasure to have had too class hospitality. I’m short. A pint of ale for under a fiver in a country pub in cobham. Wow. Thank you for finding a way to do that. Being involved in the industry I know how hard that is to achieve. It was never a problem but I have allergies to mayonnaise and even though there was plenty to eat. The time was taken to bring me a sandwich without. That was so kind. And most impressive was the individual professional service, while bringing banter and personality.

I went to a wedding at this location and they were excellent hosts. The food was nothing short of perfect with a three course meal including beetroot smoked salmon, pan fried cod in sauce, and strawberry and white chocolate cheesecake. The staff were accommodating, kind, and very helpful. The space was amazing and had a great atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place for an event.

My friend and I visited the plough Inn for a lunch recently. We throughly enjoyed our experience here. The service was exceptional (despite it being a busy Sunday) from the bar to the front of house staff; it was quick, efficient, and attentive. Hats off to the chefs who work here as every dish we were served was delicious. A special mention to the Steak tar tar, sticky toffee pudding, and the wonderful bar-special cocktails. We will definitely be returning, Thanks again to the Plough Inn team.

We went for a family Sunday Lunch, the food was amazing, the staff attentive and engaging and the atmosphere very warming. The food was so good, we went again that week for lunch. I would definitely return with friends and family as there was so many things on the menu that appealed even though I am pescatarian.

What a lovely experience we had here! I visited with my sister for a mid week meal. Firstly, the atmosphere and decor are stunning, warm, cosy, stylish, and clean. The wine selection was excellent. The menu was varied but not over facing. They had specials, a main menu and a £32 set menu, with around 4 choices per course. I had the salmon, bavette and fries and cheesecake. It was beautiful. Our waitress Freya was absolutely fabulous and obviously really enjoyed her job! Which is refreshing. Would happily return, highly recommended.

This little gem is amazing. The Sunday roast for 2, if you don’t have a huge appetite, is probably even enough for 3 people. The food in general is fantastic, thought the salted nuts were really nice. The place has a pretty chilled atmosphere, perfect for some Sunday relaxing.

I read a few reviews and I can honestly say I had reservations, but they were completely unfounded this restaurant is an absolute Gem, very rarely does a restaurant get everything right. The staff, service food atmosphere and whole environment was a pleasure to experience. I could go on but I know you won't read it but if previous customers have had issues they have definitely addressed them and stepped it. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Pretty good cafe. Good quality food and about average prices. Burgers are good and flame grilled. Milkshakes are good proper milkshakes, not as thick as McDonalds, but still creamy. Standard fare, but better quality than a lot of other places.

I went fir the first time yesterday evening. As I run a food market stall myself I normally look to eat at food places that are not chains as ij order to stay afloat they cannot reply on the corpate image that the two or three other fast food/ burger places can. It is that - largely a menu dedicated to the kebab and the burger. I went for a shish kebab which was nicely marinated and cooked but what was really brilliant is was the way you were made to feel valued and listened to and welcomed - that is very important. I will be returning. Portion sizes were ample and food nice so sad you get these so-called keyboard warriors and 'influencers' looking to make a business that actually gives an honest mesl and works for every penny they take so what we will be left with are the stark dynthetic flavours offered by some of the nearby chains. Well done to you all.
