I have to say that once it changed hands years ago from the fabulous family restaurant to the pizza joint ive been very snooty about this place and not set foot inside. How wrong was i!!!! The food here is fantastic. Not “just pizza’s” as ive said previously but the best pizza’s in town! The potatoes are great too. Much better than the massed produced stuff from PE. We will be back

Excellent pizzas, great value, handily placed for the town centre but just outside. Good offers, particularly when we visited on a Monday night - all pizzas where £10. Also good salads and wings. Friendly service, nice vibe.

The rudest manager I’ve ever encountered. Disgustingly arrogant and no wonder her staff were cowering in her presence. You are not funny and not all professional. Very embarrassing for you. Such a shame that one ‘ lady’ can put you all down. Move on staff pronto

I'm a local who lives in Falmouth and loves going here. Great atmosphere pub with really friendly staff and good selection of drinks. I just wish they would change their pizzas. The topping are simply disgusting! EVERY pizza is covered in dry herbs...it's all you can taste! The dough/base itself it's good but the flavors of the pizza are gross! Especially avoids the 'sneaky prawn'. The prawns were SO OVER marinated with citrus and herbs it was enabled! It's such a shame because we love the pub but cannot eat here! Maybe they can hire a professional pizza chef to teach the kitchen team to make a decent pizza??

Stopped here for lunch and had some of the best pizzas in a long time. Great service and excellent value.

Visited here for dinner and was very excited to see there was another cider-focused pub in Falmouth. In short, the pizza was tremendously varied and of high quality. The cider was less varied. The place seems to be closely tied to Healy's/Rattler - which is perfectly decent cider, but I really wanted a better mix than they had on offer here. There's loads more beers on tap than ciders - in a "cyder house"?! Yeah, came away a bit disappointed here. If it weren't for the service being excellent, and the pizza really hitting the right notes I would've been giving a 3/5.

Been here for drinks several times over the course of our holiday. Our son loves the “cuddles on the beach” mocktail. Having seen (and smelt!) the pizzas we ate on Sunday. They did not disappoint, the chicken wings were also delicious. Would recommend. Staff always friendly and attentive.

THE WORST PLACE YOU COULD EVER THINK OFF!!!!if you are anyone that actually wants to have fun here think again. THE BOUNCERS TREAT YOU LIKE SH*T, like you are sheep to be herded, even if you hav paid for an event: I advise you never ever to spend money here they are so rude to yo. They treat you as if you are awful even if you ask a simple question. DO NOT COME HERE AWFUL SERVICE!!!

Seriously if you’re in the area and fancy a pizza and a pint this is the place to go. Literally best pizza I’ve had in goodness knows how long. Great selection of beers and the staff are super friendly. Dog friendly too, so they let my brother in.

We visited this evening to celebrate the graduation of two of our party from Exeter Uni. We had such a good time here! This was pretty much all due to two things. One, the excellent, cool drinks. Secondly, our favourite person ever (who we met this evening): Zac. (Apologies for potential misspelling!). Zac is such a good host, was so funny and cool, and we wanted him to be our friend forever. Sadly, we are based further north, so our paths may never cross again. Yes, I did just shed a tear writing that. Thanks Zac and the team for the incredible time!

with both internal & external festival stages, 5 Degrees West was very very busy, but (albeit on a limited menu) they coped really well. queues not that long & the pasty was great

We always visit 5 Degrees when we visit Falmouth. Service from staff was incredible and they went above and beyond when our daughters wanted a Nutella pizza which was no longer on the menu - they made it for us anyway! It was delicious! Thank you!

A lovely bar in a great location. You can sit inside or out, so plenty of choice. A bar with a great vibe and an interesting varied pizza menu, it offers the usual ones and a few with a twist, so it difficult to narrow down to one pizza a they all sounded great - so had to go 50/50 swapping with my husband! The staff were friendly and made to feel really welcome. Highly recommended.

A great choice. We were spoilt for choice in both the cocktail and pizza menu. The cocktails were a great start to the evening and rated amazing and don’t forget to try the sides - the green salad was the best I have had in a long time and was a decent size which had clearly been thought about, not just a few boring leaves put on a plate. Sticks and dips were a starter is a great sharing platter with a selection of dips. Pizzas were great too - some interesting options, we had difficulty deciding which to choose! This is a great place, really welcoming and you can sit both inside or outside with helpful friendly staff offering a service to match the food! A bonus for us - it’s dog friendly too! Highly recommended.

We've been to "5's" for a number of visits over the last few weeks. The staff are friendly and customer service excellent. They make sure that everything is very clean and follow a good regime reference Covid-19 safety. The pizzas are excellent!

We stopped by a number of times for drinks. Very good to see the Covid regulations being observed. Staff are very friendly and helpful, good selection of drinks on offer to suit all tastes. whilst we didn't eat, the Pizzas certainly looked very good and were very popular.

I used to live in Falmouth and came here all the time for wine and a nice meal but it’s changed beyond all recognition. Painted the interior black, reduced the menu to just pizzas, no dessert or anything else. No Cornish beer on tap, and the friendly staff all gone. Sad and a bit grim. Won’t be back.

The food and drink is wonderful but the service we received was upsetting. I have visited here before and would never previously had a reason to complain.My partner and I were treated poorly by management being bought our drinks we were told we needed to make it one drink there and move on. There was no reason for this. It was out first drink of the night, before we had a meal atva different venue. We had made a joke to a waitress as we sat...asking if we could have a table outside as we had been kicked out of another pub. We hadn't been kicked out we just hadn't been able to sit down due to Covid measures. She obviously took this the wrong way then reported it to her supervisor who was then presumptuous and rude. I was so confused when he told us we had to make it one drink I didn't even question it. It wasn't untill i reflected on the evening I understood what he may of ment. We had caused no trouble and sat down quietly, so our treatment was very rude and unjust. I think customers should be treated for their behaviour and not on assumptions. I believe this especially applies when serving local customers who will be more likely to return.

Fantastic lunch (using eat out to help out) and we didn’t need to book. We have a severe Ceoliac with us who loved the fabulous gluten-free and vegan pizza! Highly recommend. And quick service. Good food.Also very Covid aware. Clean, order through app and loads of space.

Realise that pubs are having to make changes due to opening again, but all this place is offering to eat are pizzas, and they are served in takeaway boxes. No plates. No cutlery. Just eat with your fingers ! And it’s all “order on the app”, “don’t order on the app”, table service, don’t come to bar ...... blah blah. Meanwhile loads of the staff are standing round with nothing to do ! Crazy

Visit here quite frequently, have never had an issue with anything from staff to food. Had the best curry night on a Wednesday not too long ago, then returned for quiz night the following Monday. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly and made us feel at home. Great prices and well worth the visit.

Visiting this restaurant for years and will not be returning. Food was dry and tasteless, and not worth the price. The waiter who forgot an item proceeded to blame it on his issues at home, unprofessional. Service was terrible. Menu lacks originality and was overall disappointing. Not the 5 degrees it once was

Walked in, tried to sit down, was told by Mr jobsworth that he was just moving the chairs and we could find somewhere else to sit , customer service -10. Avoid as there are lots of good pubs in Falmouth......as we later found.

Really great and buzzing place, food offer during the rugby is £9.95 for drink and meal. We all had the homemade burgers, very tasty! Staff are very friendly and helpful as are the locals! Worth a visit x

Over the years I have visited here for food but sadly I will not be returning .During my last visit the quality & quantity of the food has deteriorated. My husbands Cajun chicken burger was no better than McDonalds and my chicken satay special was not so special being bland and stodgy . Also the decor could do with a revamp.

Absolutely disgusted. Just felt abused, So many people complaining about the drink prices, £4.50 for a gin and tonic served in a plastic cup. They don't believe in glasses. I have never heard so many people moaning that they will never go in there again. It used to be a nice place. Why abuse the people going in there, as it will be the next pub to close if they aren't careful. No one likes to be ripped off and that is what they are doing

I’ve previously given a great review but disappointed that the quality of food has deteriorated whilst prices have increased significantly. The Sunday lunch is now very expensive for what is served and the nachos are nowhere near as quality as they were but are more expensive- shame.The majority of staff are still pleasant

Been going to 5 degrees for 10+ years and I cant believe how much the quality and quantity of food has dropped. They must have changed the chef because no person would drop there standards this much!

Popped in 5 for a roast dinner as it had always been a favourite. On entering we noticed that a roast had gone up to £12.95, up by £2-£3. The food arrived presented in a similar way as before but with all veg already on the plate and no cauliflower cheese. Previously you were presented with the meat, potatoes and Yorkshire Pudding on the plate with separate generous portions of vegetables and cauliflower cheese in individual dishes. We commented to the staff and although at first they were quite acceptable of our comments, their mood changed once cauliflower cheese was mentioned! We were told that the price of cauliflowers had gone up and was no longer an option. So summing things up, the price has increased for smaller portions.

Called in as we were attracted by live band playing. Regular live music here and when visiting an amazing 10 piece soul band was performing. Pub itself average being a huge space over whole ground floor with a generic "hotel" feel. Features in the Good Pub Guide. Views towards the river and outside seating on terrace.

We popped into 5DW after an afternoon wondering around Falmouth. We were created by very attentive staff who couldn’t do enough for us or our dog.

Took my family here for an early evening meal.

Fantastic food served by enthusiastic happy staff. Mussels were cooked to perfection and clean ( no grit no beards) served in a wonderful creamy sauce.

After attempting their menu several times over the years I always walk away utterly disappointed with their poor attempt at ‘pub grub’. Once ordered a beef stew from their menu to be greeted with a vegetable broth and cold sliced packaged beef on top. Another time ordered monkfish in Parma ham, to be presented with a dry over cooked fish wrapped in thick and fatty back bacon. Then today ordered a beef sandwich on white, to be given a chewy chunk of stale beef pressed between two slices of Hovis. Save your money, buy a beer instead.

Have been here a lot of times before and found the food amazing always left fat,full and happy,but not tonight,the size of the food portions was very disappointing,me and my partner act left feeling hungry still and went to tesco to go home and make something to eat,if as before u served good size meals why would u then go smaller.and my brownie I had was very undercooked, after it was blasted in the microwave it just turned to mush,I was act looking forward to coming here tonight with my partner as it was my birthday, but left very disappointed, and highly doubt that will return.

My partner and I have been frequenting Falmouth for the past 6 years or so and have always enjoyed visiting 5 degrees West, mainly for the atmosphere, live music, friendly staff and over the last few years incredible cocktails. However the food has always been a bit naff. It was so refreshing to see some real food on the menu! I wonder has there been a change of kitchen team? Or perhaps some training? Either way we were really impressed and will be spreading the word, a big thumbs up from us!!

We eat here regularly but since the change of staff and menu we won't be. Food bland or to salty, portion sizes to small. Management not surprised we were not happy and quickly comp'd the meal, says it all really!

Not being veggie OR vegan, I normally shy away from the 'veggie option' - but for whatever reason I chose the Veggie Burger for myself and holy mackerel ( - holy seaweed?) it was amazing.

On holiday with family and friends we were surprised that when we rang on the same day they were able to accommodate 16 of us. Some of us had been here numerous times before. Always had a fab time here just having drinks but eating here had always been mediocre. But as we’d found somewhere to fit us all in at such short notice we were happy to go and knew not to expect too much. Had been told they’d recently changed their menu to improve the quality. This certainly wasn’t the case. I appreciate we were a large table but the food was not good! The steaks ordered weren’t cooked correctly and when we (politely) asked for them to be changed we were told that the chef said they were right and we were wrong! Veg that was ordered to go with the sausage and mash didn’t come out until the meal was finished by most, and those who waited for it had let the meal go cold! Side dishes were inedible. The burgers were dry and over cooked.Not one to usually complain, I very politely told the waiter when paying about the problems. He was very understanding and lovely about it however i got very menacing stares from the cooks while I had to wait for the bill! And after being told I would have numerous items deducted, when I got home and checked the bill, it was not the case! Very disappointing as although we didn’t expect a lot, it was pretty horrendous and a shame as a great drinking pub and good for families. I would only suggest going here for drinks or if u fancy getting evil eyes from the inadequate cooks!!!

Praise where praise is due! Lovely new menu, about time. Great in house gravy (I’m a Yorkshire man). It’s the type of menu you read where you really do have to stop and read again. We eat out a lot and are not easily pleased, but were pleasantly surprised.

It was a bit confusing to find out if one only could have drinks outside or also have Food outside, but when that was sorted, we had a good Fish dinner here. My husband had Catch of the day which was served while I had sea bass which was very tasty.An informal Place.

Came back to this pub/restaurant for a 2nd time in the May half term after a very good evening there. A very comfortable place for families. We were made to feel very welcome, the food was very good and service was exceptional.

Don't try the vegetarian burger and fries, both were disgusting. The burger and brioche bun collapsed in the first bite and were entirely tasteless, comparing it to cardboard, it would discredit cardboard, even putting a lot of mayonnaise on it, barely improved the flavour.

Love it hear, nothing better than watching the world pass as your sitting in the front beer garden in the sun, the food here is pretty good as well

Visited during the Sea Shanty Festival when it was very very busy. The bar at the front was packed, However a second bar was open at the back at the entrance to the beer garden which was coping very well with the crowds. The restaurant was busy, but was well staffed and waiting times were good.

Ordered two cheeseburgers, arrived in good time, tasty and presented well. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was buzzing due to the live music setting up. Great location for an evening stroll through Falmouth and near the waterfront.

This is a place I frequent fairly often for drinks, however have never really eaten here much. Came here with some friends a couple of days and noticed a new menu, with a big section dedicated to "loaded fries". Cant go wrong there right? Wrong.

Popped in here for a quick beer as it was next to my accommodation. They have good seats out front with a view but the time I visited it was overcast.

This place is great for a good range of food (burgers/salads/steaks/tapas etc). Also has a good range of gluten free options. Believe they do live music at weekends too which I imagine give it a bit more atmosphere in there. Staff were very friendly and service was quick too.

Came in looking for quick service and found it. I was with two friends and our order was quickly taken, the quality of the food cannot be faulted. We had two ultimate burgers and one burger with the prawns. Excellent size of portion. Well done crew at 5 degrees

Had nachos (too greasy), chilli (not enough flavour) and a burger (ok but roll should have been toasted long). Waiting staff were not particularly attentive although we were the only people eating in the dining area.

We visited for a meal on Mother’s Day. We were warmly welcomed and offered a full menu plus Sunday roast options. Food arrived swiftly and even the dog got treats! Parking ticket refunded and overall price of our meals were fair. Definitely one of the best pubs at this end of town. Worth a visit.
