Some miserable staff and some happy staff. Busy and better priced than anywhere else around here. Fast service and the food was a lot better than I expected.

Great value food , wonderful crab salad and the salmon, prawn and avocado salad was amazing , great coffee too

Visited today, 21st August 2024, coffee with my partner while she waited for a meeting, coffee ok but was shocked by the extremely rude, aggressive and arrogant manager, would never go there again. We visited the Harvester nearby for a meal after her meeting. AVOID!

There is a good choice of food, snacks,cakes (cakes pricey) Toilets are not as clean as could be, and the double one in restaurant stank of urine at last visit. The owner, is miserable, grumpy and quite rude. He seems to have a 'don't care' attitude toward customers. The previous owners were much friendler, and accomodating. There is plenty of room to eat in, as well as tables outside towards the road. One toilet suitable for disabled.

Went on Sunday for breakfast, were shown to table which was dirty, and they didn't clean it!! Sausage in my breakfast bap was cold and bacon very hard! When we went to pay our friends pay for theirs and us for ours, but man behind till was quite rude and said if you just pay half each much easier for me and there is a queue behind you, in a very off manner, wouldn't of minded so much if he was nice with it, but he is always miserable and quite of hand, think he is manager / owner!! Won't be going again anytime soon !!!

Always lovely food and great customer service !

Looked nice from the outside and was just in time for breakfast so we thought we’d give it a try. The breakfast was sloppy, tasteless and very cheap. The ‘eggs royal’ pictured below needs no words, the picture speaks for itself. Wasn’t exactly cheap either. My daughter had a cold hard jacket potato. The staff were inattentive and clearly did not want to be there. When leaving we saw a line of restaurants upon exciting which were all busy and the food looked good, disappointed with our choice but at least we know not to return …

If i could give no stars I would! Quiche was stone-cold in the middle and the bacon and brie toasties still had the paper wrapped around the brie inside! Absolutely disgusting and still expected to pay for our lunch even though told the chips would be free of charge!, no apology and snide comment from the male behind the counter when I said I would put a poor review. Shocking customer service, rude staff serving expensive poor quality food

Grim, we had coffee outside (at the bar end) were told we could order at the bar. Scruffy offhand staff. Weak coffee, very dry Danish, zero customer service. Won't be back.

Super quick service. Waitress was very friendly and the food was great. Wheelchair friendly. Recommended.

As a regular visitor to Seasons I was very surprised and disappointed with my breakfast today. I ordered guacamole on toast but received three large spoonfuls of sloppy avocado on top of brown toast and three pats of melted butter. Avocado does not = guacamole! There should have been chilies, onions, tomatoes, garlic and coriander! Instead it was bland and nasty. Added to that, what are you supposed to do with melted butter when the avocado has already been dumped on the toast? I did complain to the waitress but failed to find any of the usual management staff around at the time. Certainly won't be ordering this dish again. My companions both had excellent bacon baps so lesson learned perhaps.

Really impressed with this gem of a place by the harbour. Great coffee, excellent light bite, friendly staff who did well to manage what was a busy terrace without losing their smiles. And a small detail that made a difference… comfy cushions on the seats. A place that genuinely cares 😊

No one acknowledged us when the sign stated wait to be seated. So I went to the till said do I just sit down to a unfriendly yea! The girl that served us was friendly. And a black hair in the macaroni cheese . No one asked us how was the food . Even when paid the girl on the till has no customer service. Won't be returning

Fancied some mussels, wife said let’s try this place. Great flavour. Lady was welcoming and friendly. We will be back.

I booked afternoon tea today for our Monday club and they did us proud! Excellent food and staff such good value! I can't praise them enough! A very big thank you!

Visited today. We sat outside, ordered just, 1 portion of chips, and two lagers. Just a snack. My sister, a pensioner, went into pay. I have her my card, the manager/owner, pulled a face, when she asked to split the bill. She asked him why? He said, " it's 11.00" as if it was nothing, and not worth splitting. She came out very upset. I went in, to ask why? He , basically said the same, dismissed me, and walked past me. I then said, " that it was awful customer service, and he was rude". I also told him, to sort his horrible toilets out! They've been like that for years, need a good clean and decorate . We will obviously never go there again! Horrible attitude he has, when people are struggling as it is. He's lucky he's getting any custom at all!

Lovely place, food and service, however, the toilets are diabolical and need to be desperately updated.

Our waiter was abrupt, short and rude. She barked orders at us like a sergeant major, including taking one order by simply shouting "you" at one of our party. Food average and quite pricy.

Had a fantastic portion of fish and chips, really light and non-greasy batter, perfectly cooked fish. Mum had the smoked haddock. Great food and lovely setting. Service was really friendly.

Sunday lunch. Whilst roast dinners & the ribs were nice, the cod & chips x 2 were not good. The batter looked good but did not taste great and ‘a bit slimy’. Crab & prawn salad was ok. Service mediocre. The toilets were awful. These need a good clean & an update. So sad, as we have been before and everything was good then, but has definitely deteriorated.

I have eaten here a few times now and I have never had a bad experience. The food is great and there is good variety. I would definitely recommend if you’re down at the harbour in Eastbourne.

Great service and location, but the food is pretty horrific for the price. Danish pastry was very dry, and the ‘guacamole’ on toast was just stone cold, which did not complement the warm eggs and toast.

Although I love the food here and the staff ( not the owner .. grumpy old man very rude ) I’m disappointed in the cleanliness of the place .. the toilets are disgusting and the floors need a really good clean … the whole place needs a make over

Wonderful restaurant. We came for lunch during a very busy time. We were served by a lovely young man who was very attentive without being intrusive. I had a quiche and my other half had the beef pie. All was lovely. I would highly recommend and to top it off the location is beautiful! Will be definitely coming back. :)

Came in Saturday evening for drinks and food. Wow! So happy with the service and standard of food, lovely atmosphere, amazing staff and wonderful friendly environment . Have rebooked for end of the month to bring back the rest of the family back!! Thanks guys keep up the great work!

visited today with the children and was very pleased with the service and food provided by this wonder restaurant.. gorgeous setting, very family orientated, and older gentleman that served us (sorry didn’t get name) offered my two boys a complimentary cupcake. cannot wait to visit again.

Went for dinner on Saturday at one of my favourite spots in the Harbour. The atmosphere was lovely and food was spot on, can't wait to go back.

We had a great meal on Saturday night with friends - lovely menu - scallops were divine! My steak was cooked exactly as I had asked - perfect - and two friends advised the sea bream was cooked to perfection. Service is always good and we had a great night. Highly recommended!

Wouldnt rate them cheap nasty food full english but charge alot for it. Still taste under cooked greasy food in my mouth. Said about the food being undercooked then sent out a burnt killed it full english. Use to think it was ok here. But the past couple of times ive been my god its bad. Not worth giving to the homeless. Spoken to waitress about it didnt offer a refund or anything or an apology. Never again. Ill be calling to speak to manager soon.

Service was fast and polite and the coffee was tasty but the food was shocking. Seafood linguine just tasted like tomatoes with no seasoning or garlic etc. Chicken and bacon linguine wasn’t much better and be careful of the bones. Shame.

Delicious fish cake meal. Service great. I would like to see the option of a half portion. Whilst I really enjoyed the food, it was just too much for me. I hate food waste and to be offered this option would have suited me. Everything on the plate was yummy, just too much.

Have always liked this cafe. But friday was dreadful. Extremely poor service. We waited to be seated was then asked if we were having lunch? Told to sit at a large (8,seater) as was all there was, directareound us was at least 2 x 2 seater. Immediately after we sat down several others came 8n and were either seated at the small table or just walked in and seated themselves. We waited and waited, I was happy to get up and leave but we persevered, eventually a waitress came and took orders from the people that came after us, stating she didn't know who was firstly eventually our orders arrived after a dreadfully long time, the salad was covered in a dressing which neither of us wanted so that was wasted. The sandwiches were both prawn , the sauce was so loose that the bread started to fallapart. Service was dreadful. Can only staff shortage but the cs left alot to be desired. Hence both of us decided we will not be visiting again.

Extremely disappointed. The food was so poor, sausages were soggy. Hash browns over cooked. Coffee was bitter and burnt. This was once our favourite place to have coffee/breakfast. Not any more. Not only has the food and coffee gone down hill but the older gentleman who was at the till with his shirt half undone, was so rude and disinterested in our complaint. We will not be returning. Waiting staff were as usual lovely.

Got to put a one star for the really awful service today from an older gentlemen that seemed to be the owner/manager. I asked politely for two drinks and it was all way too much for him, at one point he had his head in his hands!! A really stinking attitude...we wont be back Its a real shame because the food going out looked great and the other staff were lovely...he should get out of the way and he might have a business 🙄

Do not go here it is not what it used to be. Terrible food wouldn’t of said it was even in date and very slow service. It’s a shame as it used to be such a great place to go. Don’t even charge you correctly either.

Beautiful **Catch of the day** fresh fish. Not expensive The waiter Ollie was friendly ,, polite, attentive, good listener ( I wanted no ice with my drink but normally always get it) but Ollie listened. Excellent service all around. A very pleasant experience. Thank you Ollie, we will be back

Long wait for order to be taken, had to go and get my own menus, then another wait for the order to be taken. Went to desk to give order and was told it needs to be done on a server's tablet by an incredibly rude man ! I know they were busy as it was a nice day but it doesn't inspire me to want to spend my hard earned money.

Nice place to have a meal or just a cuppa and a cake.

Best coffee in my opinion, food is unpretentious but good quality and reasonably price. Service is surprisingly quick considering how busy it gets. Outside seating can be in the shade at certain times of the day. Waiting staff are efficient and friendly. Plenty of regular customers it can be quite cosy at times.

Some meals here are excellent, particularly the fish and chips. I think the kitchen tries hard, but has to work with inferior products. The owner/manager should not work in hospitality, however. I politely asked him a question recently, which he partially, aggressively answered, then just walked away! He seems to have no interest in customer service and is rude to his employees. So disappointing for the harbour.

I enjoyed my coffee here. There were many negatives though: service was very poor, water glass dirty, the table needed a wipe and the bakewell tart was dry.

Had a Banoffee pie that was horrible with no caramel or banana in it!!

Owner is extremely rude and unpleasant definitely would not recommend if you have a baby not very accommodating, such a shame because the rest of the staff seem pleasant

Breakfast very standard and same with presentation. Been twice over the last 6 months and commented on sausages being poor and told due to costs - recommend visit to "the Perch" at Princes Park to get a few tips......

After having breakfast this morning with my other half we found the 4 seasons to be not so good. To start our bad experience our beverages came far too late to enjoy with our food. Our hash browns were still frozen as if they hadn’t even been cooked along with the under cook sausages and dry extra salty bacon. ( full English breakfast would not recommend ) My partner on the other side had the Fresh salmon with avocado , pouched eggs on toast. Fresh salmon of course being picked from the convenience store next door. The eggs were hard boiled and avocado had started to brown. We did not enjoy our time here and will definitely not be returning. They was under staffed and over busy for the morning and also like to add when we asked for the bill payment the waitress asked why I wanted to see the receipt as we was cautious for what they had put on our tab as we wanted things removed for poor service. They also charge a service of 20p if you are lactose intolerant to change to oat milk or lacto free, which in this day and age is astonishing.

Expensive but good location. A relaxing vibe to it... while food cannot be judged what we saw looked nice. Coffee was nice

The setting is lovely. The breakfast was disappointing with what tasted like cheap sausages. Toilets are basic. Staff polite and helpful.

Female staff polite. Very rude man on till when paying for just a hot chocolate, he charged me £3.95, when I commented it was expensive he walked off to deal with something else saying 'it's not expensive'. ( believe it should be £3.65). I phoned up at 12.40 when I got home to ask price, he answered phone, said he would find out. Left me hanging on phone for over 5 minutes & did not return. Needless to say i will not be returning.

Having been pleased with service and food at previous visits, our experience at our recent visit has made us question whether we would visit again. We were unable to order from the breakfast menu, although we placed the order 5 minutes before the 'midday last order' listed on the menu. We stayed and accepted it and ordered something else off the menu despite it not being what we really wanted. However 15 minutes later people arrived at the table next to us ordered from the breakfast menu. Obviously we are disappointed to have been treated differenly and expressed this to a member of staff. Sadly we did not even receive an apology.

We had a lovely lunch outside, the coffee here is delicious and pictured is the most delicious bacon and brie jacket potato. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait to go back again.

For £13 each, sitting in the sun, having delicious diet food, you cannot beat it. The restaurant catered to our dietary restrictions (low fat, low sugar) and made us feel welcome.

Absolutely gobsmacked! Beautiful setting within the harbour, walk in to this fairly old fashioned mismatch cafe/restaurant, thought ah we'll try somewhere different for breakfast this week. Well.... My full English had snotty eggs, over cooked bacon, Richmond style sausages 🤮 no flavour, like what you'd get a school years ago, mushrooms I had to ask for, came out later than breakfast main and looked about 30 years old...Waitress said they'd been fried and when I asked if she would eat them she said no. 😳 canned tomatoes came out, had to ask for fresh. No loose leaf tea, normal breakfast tea, sawdust tasting. Coffee and toast was nice. Waitress was lovely. Will not be returning!

Visited today and had the BEST Sunday roast. Both the quality and the quantity were fab! Two at our table had quiche & burger respectively, they also were reportedly good! Would definitely recommend! I would have taken a picture but it was sooo good I forgot 😂

Would give no stars at all if it were an option. The female waitress,I'm sure she knows who she is, was so rude that all five of us were just stunned. Spent 90 pounds and they will definitely not be getting a penny more from us. Avoid.

7 of us visited for coffee and food mid morning. Lovely breakfast and service was excellent. One staff member in particular had a great sense of humour. Went back an hour later for cake and coffee as it was so good. Will return when next in Eastbourne.

Visited for first time last month. Did not know what to expect, but went with mother, and the food was exceptional. Not too loud in there, food was cooked to perfection but taste great too. I’ve past there many times but will definitely visit more so from now on. Definitely worth a go for first timers.

Waited 15 mins to get a drinks order having said that once ordered was quick to come out and food shortly after , I had a burger which had all the goodness cooked out of it, I’d say was the driest burger I’ve had and @ £12-13 was just not worth it and I didn’t enjoy but was so hungry , but I have eaten here before with no complaints so possibly burgers is not the strong point , waiting staff friendly and would eat here again but something else

My mother ordered a cappuccino, when it arrived it was more like a latte, when we asked if it could be changed the manager was extremely rude, told us that was a cappuccino, funny thing being I’m a highly trained barista, also our soup was just heated in a microwave served warm with a thick skin, needless to say will not be returning.

Great chips, - shame about the beef lasagne 😒 Am still not convinced it wasn't veggie lasagne as beef was decidedly lacking bur then so was any veg🤔. Not sure what the goupy thick layer was on the top, possibly congealed cold cheese sauce??!! 🤮 When I mentioned to waitress, just received an " oh sorry about that" Definitely wont be returning in a hurry.

Had a great lunch of swordfish, vegetables and sweet potato fries with a capers and lemon sauce. Fast service, good portions and a very satisfying meal. Slightly disappointed with the desserts of banoffee pie and tiramisu (mostly cream). However a good value lunch.

Second time we’ve tried to eat here and they have closed early and wasted our time!

4 of us for full English breakfast. The cheapest sausages money can buy, literally paste meat sausages. Awful. Out of date eggs gave us all gut rot, and they weren't cooked properly, slimey all over the top. Stone cold toast and tinned tomatoes! Bottles of fancy Valencia orange juice all opened before they reached the table, bottles looked re-used, so they're basically filling up fancy orange juice bottles with cheap orange juice. All in all, absolutely rubbish quality food. AVOID !!!

Asked to have a fried egg with my steak was happy to pay extra and was told the kitchen couldn't fry an egg!!

Avoid. Ordered 2 teas and 2 slices of cake. Cakes came, very very average and most certainly not fresh for the price you have to pay. No tea arrived. No apology.

My mum and I came for lunch with my daughter. My mum is recovering from stage 3 breast cancer and it was our first shopping trip together today since before the pandemic. This was supposed to be a treat lunch. The minute we walked in, the vibe is off, male ‘host’ is miserable as anything. We ordered our food, My daughter is allergic to egg and dairy so her only option on the menu other than jacket/toast and beans was chicken skewers and chips. Ok that will do. Food arrives - I could smell something bad as soon as the food arrived, but didn’t realise it was her chicken straight away until I went to help her cut up her food. It was absolutely rank - the chicken was totally off/rancid - it stank, how anyone had cooked them and didn’t notice I do not know, but normally they’re served covered in sauce so maybe they just serve it and hope no one notices! I can’t fault the waiter when we called him over he was just lovely. He took it away and offered her some chips and a cake on the house. Came back with the chips and would she like an apple juice, yes please - so far wow so kind, situation rectified, agree? My daughter eats her chips, then said please could I have my cake. Now we struggle to get anymore attention for ages. Finally the waiter comes over, ‘oh sorry actually we don’t have any suitable cakes…’ now my daughter is 6 years old. You don’t offer a 6 year old a cake and take it away again. She was gutted poor kid, she already misses out on so much and this was meant to be a treat. It was absolutely the miserable host that said to the waiter she couldn’t have it. No, they didn’t charge us for the rancid chicken skewers meal, the chips or the extra juice. But tbh it was just a horrible experience and ruined what should have been a special lunch. There were vegan magnums in the freezer - one of those would have made my daughter’s day, and we’d have come back - as it was she was in tears after we left. That lead host is an objectionable person and he doesn’t deserve your custom. Mean and penny pinching behaviour. Also, if there are three of you at a table, they take a chair away?! Random… would have been nice to have put our bag on it, or for my daughter to move seats and sit next to her Nanna during the meal?! Just weird. I do not recommend.

Quick service to take our drinks order. However when they arrived instead of cappuccino & Latte x2 ordered we were given coffee & pot of tea for 2. When we queried order a very rude waitress became argumentative saying 'That's what she ordered' The male member of staff who took our payment also needs to work on his customer service skills.

I had the Seafood Linguini. it came swimming in what I assume was a tin of tomatoes, very little seafood apart from several mussels in their shells, some of which were not open, and there were shards of mussel shell mixed in with the linguini etc. The waitress asked if I would like to see the manager, who had not one word of apology, said when they tip the mussels out of the jar they are not going to notice if they are closed.....(or broken I guess!).and said he was not prepared to argue, refunded the meal with bad grace and walked off. Very poor food and even worse customer service, although the waitress was very polite and helpful. Certainly won't be returning!

Had the Cesar Salad today and I thought it was just Perfect!! Have tried many salads over the years but this one reminded me of one about 18years ago which made me love a Cesar Salads. Fresh Salad leaves, moist chicken and not too much sauce either croutons nice colour and seasoned well with the addition of sliced ham and a medium well-done boiled egg. Great value for money too! Will definitely have this again.

Poor quality food, vegetable soup was large bits of boiled veg in water, tasteless with no seasoning. When mentioning this to the owner, he was dismissive and simply said thats how we serve it and did not care at all. Over priced too.

Food was good but other then that not great, dirty toilet and found the inside of the restaurant a bit scruffy with odd decor

We used to love coming here, as the staff were always so welcoming and friendly. The main male 'host' is often quite rude and never seems to be very happy. Perhaps management could support him to learn basic customer service skills. A smile or greeting, goes a long way, especially as I used to go there weekly, including purchasing coffee etc during the pandemic-to support my local Harbour business. Sadly, it has really put me off from returning-would sooner spend my money elsewhere, where I am made to feel more welcome and like a valued customer!

Amazing value for money 💴 We are on holiday nearby and we have now eaten here 3 days in a row! The service is outstanding as is the food. The portions are huge and the price is amazing 🤩

Worst coffee and service EVER! Ordered extra hot latte, once tasted I Requested an extra espresso shot, so it will actually taste somewhat like coffee…took about 4 requests from the servers & when I got it finally, my coffee was only Luke warm…. Arrogant server, poor customer service. Do not bother to stop by.

We were party of three for lunch. We were quickly seated by a charming waitress, who then took our orders for drinks and food. Both quickly arrived. I ordered a prawn and crab sandwich which proved to be very substantial and very tasty too. The eventual bill bore no surprises, indeed we all thought that the meals and drinks were excellent value. I will certainly be returning here!

Quiche Lorraine, chunky chips, garlic bread x2. Time of visit 11:30 Attentive staff, Excellent presentation, well cooked and tasted great with more than adequate portions. Appreciate the fact my wife was offered tap water as an alternative to bottled water so a big thank you to all who made our visit enjoyable.

2 stars as the food is good but.... slightly taken aback by the rudeness and the attitude of the male server/attender. My friend had to burst out laughing because she was so shocked by the way we were spoken to. It almost felt like being told off in the headmasters office for having just drinks... its clear straight away, if you want drinks go elsewhere. More welcoming approach if ordering food... Will be coming back as convenient and I like the food however the costumer approach and attitude of the main male server needs to change.
