34 Caffe Nero in South Lakeland

Me and my husband called in for a coffee last Sunday whilst shopping in Kendal. Suffer with MS and suffer with shakes. The staff Jude and Lexi were quick to to identify I had a disability and went out of their busy way to assist me with carrying my tray outside as we had our dog with us. We were served lovely HOT coffee and were left to enjoy our visit. Even when we finished again they brought our dirty tray inside for me. The place was spotless and the staff were overwhelming helpful. Best Nero cafe we have visited. Superb staff and very accommodating. Definitely will visit again whilst visiting Kendal Thankyou 😊

The staff were just so funny and so sweet and when I didn’t like my drink they were so lovely!! They were joking around with us from the moment we came in and the coffee was great.

Overall it does what it says, serves coffee not great coffee but ok coffee. It was clean but staff could have been more proactively cleaning instead of talking in between serving customers. 3 ✨✨✨

Don’t use Scottish money they refuse it. Staff need retraining in what is U.K. legal tender. Why staff on England can’t understand that England Scotland and wales are one United Kingdom with one currency called sterling and all notes from all countries within the U.K. are legal sterling tender

Absolutely filthy! The place looked like it had not been cleaned properly for months and I don't even think the tables get cleaned. You would think such a well known brand of coffee shop, cleanliness would be taken seriously. You can see from the photo how filthy the table was! The toilets even worse! Put us off and wont be visiting here again.

During our recent visit to Kendal we decided to visit Caffe Nero for a snack (Coffee cake) as well as a hot chocolate. The cake was very tasty, a good portion size and really fresh. The hot chocolate was also very tasty and enjoyable. The staff we encountered were very friendly and made us feel welcome. I would certainly visit here again when next in the area.

Always Hits the Mark Happy friendly place good food and coffee but great staff as well. Worth a visit if you're in Kendal. Plenty of seating inside upstairs and down together with a good measure of tables outside. Dog friendly too.

Doesn’t even taste like bacon absolutely gutted it tasted like crap not even sauce could cover it !!!! Will not be ordering again!

Nipped into caffe nero for a quick cappuccino and hot chocolate, great service and drinks really hot. As we sat down, it started to snow but by the time we finished the sun came out again. Lucky for us. Staff very friendly.

We stopped in for a morning tea as we passed through the town. This dog friendly cafe had a good selection of food and good tea and mocha. The staff were pleasant enough although not over friendly. Definitely a nice enough eatery to visit.

Wir genossen dort einen sehr gut zubereiteten Eiskaffee. Geschmacklich der Wahnsinn. Preis/Leistung sehr gut. Portionen wäre ordentlich groß. Kundenfreundlichkeit war sehr zufriedenstellend. Ein muss, wenn man Kendal ist.

Called in here for coffees when visiting Kendal recently. Everything was fine with really good service.

Called in for an afternoon coffee, staff not friendly today, tables dirty, which combined spoilt our experience really, which is a shame because the normal ladies are very friendly and the tables cleared and wiped. Must have been someone's day off.

Nice cafe right in the centre of Kendal. Great coffee and excellent staff. Let down by grubby smelly toilets in desperate need of redecoration.

I'm not a tea or coffee drinker but the cafe is always clean and the hot chocolate is the best!! Cakes are a bit disappointing but it has an alright atmosphere. Could do with a refurbishment though!

Dog friendly cafe with good food and great coffees. Sit inside or, if the weather permits, out and watch the world go by.

Call in most days for my morwake up call. Whoever on the staff makes your drink it is always consistently good. Does what it says on the tin.

Great coffee and snacks, nice to sit outside in the market place. Always very busy. Freshly made sandwiches are great with homemade biscuits

This is a truly wonderful cafe, very clean and pleasant inside with outside seating in what is very similar to a piazza overseas. Great food, loved the toasted sausage and cheese sandwich and lovely latte all at very reasonable prices. Great Food, Great Atmosphere, Great Location, Great Staff, what more can you ask for.

Always visit Neros for a coffee when I'm up town. Great coffee and nice staff. Best place if you just want a coffee

Excellent service,coffee always hot , good variety of snacks and welcomes dogs downstairs, not many cafes allow dogs so this was a great treat sitting inside instead of outside in the cold. Well done Caffe Nero

It was nice to see the staff dressed in Christmas attire. Our cappuccinos were piping hot and had flavour to them.

Fabulous staff, very chilled out feel to the place and of course lovely coffee and toasted panetone - there's no rush to finsh and leave even when it's busy.....

Very quiet and good service. However, the salmon and cream cheese sandwich I had was very disappointing. A thin spread of cream cheese and a thin slice of smoked salmon on dry bread. I put the two covered slices together and left the dry pieces to make it more tasty. Won't be ordering again!

Never disappoints, good coffee and comfortable environment. Plenty of seating (costa take note) and relaxed vibe with nice view from upstairs over Kendal market square.

Spent a Sunday morning enjoying a cafe and a scones with cream and jam seating upstairs in comfy armchairs with a nice view over the old market square.

En mi opinión, el mejor lugar en Kendal para café, gran lugar relajado y un personal estupendo, buen servicio siempre atento.

Sé que tipo de sombrero a esperar cuando vas a una cadena nacional como este. El servicio era bueno y la Tarta capuchino era luz y era justo lo que queríamos con nuestra bebida.

Calidad Normal y estándares Cafe nero, pero el juego esta amable barista aparte de más. Gran lugar para encontrarse con amigos.

Peaceful Nero with a wonderful seating area upstairs. The staff are very pleasant and clean whenever the time is possible. Two toilets and very warm.

This is in a great location with outdoor seating allowing a bit of people watching. There are a lot of independent cafes in the town but I find café Nero very reliable and the Danish pastries are always excellent quality and really fresh. Staff are friendly and efficient.

this is our regular coffee shop. not just becasue it's convenient, has excellent coffee and encourages you to sit back and relax. the best bit is the staff, who to a person are brilliant. professional, efficient, slick and quick but most of all so very frienldy and welcoming.

Looking down over the Market Place it's good for people watching.It's a coffee shop and does what it sets out to do, very well. Quick service. Good drinks and cakes. One of the better coffee shops in Kendal.

Cafe Nero can be relied on to provide a great cup of coffee and this one seems particularly welcoming, probably due to the very pleasant staff members that work there. Obviously, the fare is the same at any cafe Nero but sometimes the devil you know.......!

Tucked away in a corner of the Market Square in Kendal. Sun trap on a sunny day. Seats downstairs and upstairs and outside. Lovely staff - so helpful, friendly and kind. Very efficient and keep everything clean and running smoothly. Always help when I'm struggling with my granddaughter and her buggy. Often go on Tuesdays as O2 Priority give a free hot drink on Tuesdays after 12. Coffee quite strong but not if you ask for only one shot! Popcorn bars are addictive! Know it's a chain coffee shop and you know what to expect but the staff make this one special!

Just popped in for a drink and a cake. Had their Milano Chocolate. Very good with a good chocolaty taste. Staff very friendly

Always Friendly, Staff seem to go the extra mile and are genuinely warm. Loyalty card worth having and respond professionally to all requests. Coffee excellent.

Located in the centre of Kendal an ideal pit-stop for coffee. The staff are friendly and you can guarantee a drinkable cuppa. There are sweet and savoury food options to tempt the palate if hungry.

Picked up takeaway coffees here every morning of our stay, and the staff were delightful. Really friendly and good coffee too.

Nice enough cafe and on the day I came with my family it was fine. Only let down were the toilets which were absolutely awful. Anyway the food was fine and service also fine. I do find once you have visited a Nero, you have visited them though as they're all similar. Was the first time I'd ever been to Kendal so when I visit again will definitely like to explore more. Nothing wrong with the place at all though.. other than the toilets really needed cleaning. We came in a large group so nice there was room for us and that they allow dogs in too!

this is a good coffee stop, in a central location just off the Market Square, with pleasant staff. Upstairs has better views.

Stopped here for a coffee and a catch up with friends. It was a bit busy but not too bad but no comfy seats downstairs so we went upstairs. Much noiser as there was a large group in that had put the tables together. We got a window seat where we could watch the world go by and have a natter. It was clean and tidy with staff cleaning up now and again. My hot chocolate was very nice. Toilet was ok (located upstairs) clean enough and Ive certainly seen worse. An ok coffee shop for the price

On a very busy Saturday in Kendal we popped in to Cafe Nero for a coffee, mid morning. The service was efficient, given how very busy it was and reasonably clean. The Americanos were very good. We visited again the following morning, when it was quieter and again the service and coffee were good.

The drinks here are fine, and I here is a limited number of foods offered, however, seating is cramped and when full it is extremely noisy..I think there is music played but it is so noisy I am unsure!! Outside seating is OK if you are fit but often not stable enough for the disabled as it is on cobbled ground. Service can take time but the staff are friendly and cheerful. There is Bono hurry and many seem to sit for ages, even reading their daily paper.

A stroll round town on a Sunday - finished off with a visit to Neros for afternoon coffees and cake. A really reliable coffee chain with relaxed surroundings and comfy battered leather chairs and sofas. 'Bliss' -

Really good coffee, ok paninis, good cakes,excellent service ! Cost ok. It's a typical Caffe Nero so nothing special to review really.

Poor and slow service. Waited a long time to be served as the staff were chatting to each other. Then when I did get served I did not receive a sorry for the delay. I wont return! Costa can have my custom.

Can't really say much as we just had a coffee there. Find the coffee expensive compared to other cafes .

As a very regular customer here I would recommend this place for a chilled out place to have a coffee, or whatever drink you like. It is situated in the centre of town so great for people watching on the outside tables. The inside is also a really relaxed atmosphere. The staff are friendly and efficient. Great frappes too. Some nice toasties and tasty cakes. It is now dog friendly too. Love Nero.

Conveniently placed coffee shop serving all the usual stuff. Hot drinks are well prepared and I particularly like the soups here.

Lovely place to have a coffee with friends, absolutely love the blended drinks (i cant actually remember what they are called). Staff are very efficient and friendly.

The coffee is good, the staff are always very attentive, friendly and helpful, the meatball panini was uninspiring at best and the cakes are synthetic tasting, they are exceptionally expensive for low wuality

Dogs are welcome in this coffee shop which is really a big plus on a wet weather day. Nice cup of coffee as well.

Nero wasn't a particularly good Roman emperor, but happily the same cannot be said of the Kendal cafe that bears his name. There are good sandwiches, paninis, tasty soup and excellent coffee to be had here.I've also found that the cafe tends to be open on Bank Holidays and the like, when other places are shut.
