Medium Ribeye steak was rare and very salty, fries served with it were even more salty, rocket salad had some kind of fish sauce that simply ruined it, cacio e Pepe was too watery and overpowered with cheese, wine list as ever to the point, service is simply magnificent as ever.

Nice place with pleasant atmosphere Laureen's super service was very good advice. Too bad not to find a QR code that would make translating the card easier.

Lovely neighbourhood restaurant with a relaxed vibe, lovely wines, and very good food. We stopped there for a drink after work and were pleasantly surprise at the nice variety of wine by the glass options - served by a knowledgable team too. We ordered some snacks (cheese and charcuterie, and padrons) and some starters (cep soup and crab pasta). Everything was good, flavourful grazing to start with a cep soup which was worth licking the bowl for. The crab pasta was also good with a rich lovely sauce on the perfect pasta. It was not too busy on a Tuesday night but when I looked around, there were quite a few full tables hence the setup made it feel relaxed and not too crowded. We will be back again, and explore the wine list further. If you are in the Oxford Street area and want a decent break - come off the main street and try this little neighbourhood gem.

The set menu was not only good value but the portions were a decent size. We booked for a birthday celebration lunch Which I advised when we booked but no reference was made to this However the service was not great, bearing in mind it was an early booking the staff were stood around but not remotely attentive We purchased a bottle of wine which was warm and when I advised the person who served us it she looked like she couldn’t have cared less and her suggestion was to bring us some ice!! In the time we were there it was very quiet but the service levels were remarkably disappointing I’d c recommend the food but would hesitate going va k due to the service

Having booked a table on line when we arrived we were given the impression that we were not welcome. Unfortunately once seated the only interaction from staff was the lovely French gentleman explaining wines, as no one else came to the table he took our order. Tbf the food was good and well presented. When we asked for the bill Lauren who brought it over was the only person who bothered to interact with us was charming and listened to our concerns. A restaurant cannot rely on the food itself and good attentive staff make the experience complete. Disappointed

Small yet modern design which is in a great location. Perfect to meet post shopping. Great selection of wines by the glass. We had sharing plates between the two of which was enough and very good quality. Would be good if there was more choice for mains.

What a lovely spot! The wine list is fantastic, and the staff is both friendly and professional, going above and beyond to help with my allergies. We stayed until closing, and at no point did we feel rushed. It was a truly enjoyable experience, and we had a wonderful time.

I visited 28-50 for dinner with friends, and I couldn’t have been more impressed. From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us with such warmth that it instantly made us forget about the cold outside. The food was exceptional, and the drinks were just as delightful. Throughout the meal, the service was impeccable, and we truly felt taken care of. One thoughtful detail that stood out to me was that the staff noticed I’m left-handed and made sure all the cutlery and drinks were arranged accordingly. I’ve been to many places, but this is the first time I’ve seen that level of attention to detail. We’ll definitely be back!

Host didn’t sign us in immediately despite being reminded 3 times, prawns were perfectly grilled, rocket salad however wasn’t right as I believe it was dressed with the prawns juice, main course which was roasted cod was slightly undercooked, the Cacio e Pepe was very cheesy and oily, chocolate mousse was overpowered with some pear sauce/jam, cream Brûlée was perfect. Service was excellent as ever.

We chose the restaurant because of good reviews, but unfortunately it was a dissapointment. The room was very cold and the service was very impersonal. The food was ok, but not good value for the price. We left before desserts because we were freezing and we were not even asked if we want to order something.

A nice restaurant with a good wine list (it would get 5 stars) that was let down by the staff. On arrival I stood in the doorway for a couple of minutes before anyone acknowledged I was there. When the sommelier brought wine glasses for the delicious Nuits St Georges, our server tried to clear them away. When my friend and I left there were three staff chatting in the serving area and they totally ignored us as we left the restaurant.

Superb place very well located, the welcome is warm and quality, the sommelier knows the wines offered perfectly. The dishes are refined and tasty!

The ambience at the restaurant was relaxed and charming and our experience was outstanding The staff were highly efficient and welcoming, particularly the restaurant manager. Our food arrived promptly and was delicious. My husband’s steak was perfectly cooked and the cod dishes were excellent as were the side dishes. I highly recommend and look forward to our return visit

Had my Christmas meal here as I was in London over the holidays. Made a reservation for the 5 course meal for 89 pounds. Atmosphere, layout and serving staff were exquisite; very attentive and friendly. For the price and quality feel of the restaurant the food was not up to par. I had the traditional Turkey meal and it was a generic turkey meat roundel with stuffing in the centre and the roasted potatoes were the generic “cook from frozen” type. It reminded me of my school dinners I used to have as a kid around Christmas time. The cheese and biscuits was just a single lump of Stilton and 2 dry crackers. Overall I enjoyed my lunch there for the atmosphere and and enjoyed the attentiveness and the quality of the restaurant environment and staff but the food soured it a little. I’ve not eaten here on a regular day / evening so I don’t know if their normal food is all out the freezer, so I would do some research before you go on that one. 10/10 for the team running the bow on the 25th but 6/10 for the Chef or whoever made the decision to get the frozen spuds out the freezer and not make real ones.

Me and my husband went for dinner at 28-50 last night and wow! The food was amazing as were the staff. They were so welcoming and attentive, big shout out to Terry (Head sommelier) he served us some amazing wine with the meal and was very knowledgeable and friendly. 10/10 would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and a lovely ambiance.

Love this neighbourhood restaurant and wine bar. Casual dinning with high end sophisticated vibes. Great for wine and antipasto or dinner. Staff are super attentive and experienced in cocktails wines and food. I had a medium spicy margarita which was delicious and one of the best i have had. Food was exceptional and love the sharing platters. This is my third time visiting and i will be back!

Loved this place, ideal environment for small gathering of friends as environment is very cosy, exclusive and food quality exceptional. We opted to have 2 sets of charcuterie and cheese boards, then orders a couple of small plates and that was more than enough food. Drinks varieties are good, whether it be wine, beers, spirits.

El servicio era profesional, muy diferente a muchos lugares en estos días. El menú del almuerzo ofrecía varios buenos platos, elegir un entrante y principal por £ 20. Nuestra terrina de jamón con tostadas tipo brioche y mantequilla batida se sirvió con retraso. Fue una porción generosa y muy sabrosa. Mains era una sartén - filete de trucha frita de excelente calidad y sabor, servida en una cama de espinacas marchitas con una deliciosa salsa de alcaparras. Teníamos una botella de casa blanca, un Chenin Blanc por £ 25, que era excelente. Toda la comida duró menos de 40 minutos, no es que estuviéramos tratando de apresurarnos, pero en ningún momento sentimos que nuestra camarera no estaba atendiendo nuestras necesidades, lo cual es perfecto a la hora del almuerzo.

Lunch set is really worth the price!

We visit every time we are in London. Food and service are always consistent steps from the crazy of Oxford. There are options for all and all occasions; wine and charcuterie, a burger, vegetarian, fish, and steaks. The wine list is good. Make reservations for nights and weekends.

What a wonderful place to catch up with an old friend. The music is great, and not too loud (!) like so many places where you cannot have a proper conversation. The food was absolutely delicious, very good quality, and the service provided by our waitress (Mercy) was absolutely lovely. I had the cod (the dish was a bit too small for my liking and I am very petite), but the tenderstem broccoli was perfect, and my friend's fries were top notch. I know she was delighted with her cheeseburger. The wine was very fine indeed. Mercy had made very good recommendations, although I think it would be great if they could offer 175ml size servings as well as 125ml and 250ml. And the best thing was I could bring my dog who sat and later slept at our feet under the table. Thank you for a wonderful evening Mercy.

Staff is clearly not very experienced. We got brought the wrong bill and then had another card machine brought to us without explanation to settle the difference. Also, food took a while to come out and was not hot. The ambience is lovely and the place could be very nice but it needs some improvement.

Had the opportunity to visit more than twice now and unfortunately on each occasion the same experience - very nice deco and atmosphere but very poor service. It’s a real shame as this place could be great with experienced and well trained staff.

Hadn’t been to 28:50 for dinner before so was pleased same good experience as at lunchtime. It was a bit noisy at first as was quite busy so think they could do without music but otherwise all good. Waiting staff lovely and made for a special birthday evening

We are early so the restaurant was almost empty when we arrived, but was full by the time we left, it’s clearly very popular. The food was very good, and also decent value for money. The service was friendly and attentive, would recommend.

I’ve booked a standard table, table wasn’t available, we were offered a high table next to the bar, octopus salad was sour and salty, grilled Cod was watery, mussels were gummy. Service was acceptable.

Tasty food, I ordered food from the menu 3 courses for almost £23, £22 something. Great food and price. Then a small portion of spaghetti for my 2 year old. I love that the staff wear smart clothing, that's so elegant! They also offerred me a baby changing facility, it's the foldable one, I would say for lighter children, those who weight little. Cleanliness spot on. The staff was kind enough to pour a boiled water to my thermos as we needed it, so my child can have a hot tea while we traveled home, to Buckinghamshire, on that date. 1 outstanding reason I like dining at 28-50, is that my internet provider O2 offers airtime rewards. If you dine with 28-50, 10% of your bill goes towards your airtime rewards and as a resukt your O2 bill is lower.

This was our second visit. As with our first, the service was outstanding and the food very good, indeed. The maitre de was, again, extremely helpful and doubling as sommelier, made very good recommendations for wine. He, and the restaurant, we’re in every way delightful.

Two of us had the cheeseburger and both agreed it was dry and hard to chew with no flavour. Our friend had the crab pasta and it was ok. But it was quite expensive for 2 hamburgers and a bowl of pasta plus a couple of glasses of wine. We will not be back.

I recommend this perfectly placed restaurant in Marylebone, which has excellent variety of food at a reasonable price, particularly the set lunch menu. A popular place at lunch time but not too noisy.

So first - the food, ambience and drinks were all amazing. I couldn’t find anything to criticize there. The only thing I would have to criticize is that the waiting times were quite long and even though the waiters were all incredibly kind and nice, it almost seemed like they were a little overwhelmed and not very coordinated. Will definitely come again though. It’s a great atmosphere in there.

My new favorite go to. What is not to like. Good food, great service and fabolus wines. Don't walk, run here. The service is personable. A first date, old friends, the counter or a solo evening. Highly recommend.

A very nice restaurant with the added bonus of being a wine bar. The food is good. We had pasta and a burger, which were tasty and large portions. The real winner here was our waiter who is also a sommelier! He suggested lovely wines to pair with our meals. It was a very good experience overall!

Mixed experience. We went for a jolly lunch with the company. We have been here as twosomes before, and had a thoroughly good time. This was not so good. The positives - two of us had the chicken dish from the set lunch menu - beautifully cooked, just the right amount, delicious. One of us had the fish - just as good. OK. The negatives. Cucumber Gaspacho - weedy, sweet, poor. Most importantly, two of us chose the main course (set menu) pasta. Oh my goodness - tiny portion - asked for more grated cheese to perk it up - never arrived. How much does pasta cost? Next to nothing. TINY PORTION! Simply not good enough. So astonished, we didn't get our heads together to object. Also, put at table next to the storage entrance and had to cope with deliveries shoving past us to get stuff in - no apologies, no courtesy. Something going on with the staff which was causing them issues. But no need fpr anyone to impose their mood on the guests. Not good. We will be back for the twosome experience which has always been good. Owner... Manager... time to sort it out. Reputation is hard won and should not be lost because of such a poor service delivery. Chef - if you have a cheaply produced (but tasty) dish - even if it's on the set menu, you can afford to be more generous. Penny pinching - look at what the FT has recently said about the importance of a good value set menu meal - even if it's composed of (tasty) scraps and offcuts. Room for improvement.

I love this restaurant but a really disappointing visit. Booked standard seating and was presented with bar stools. Ended up sitting outside which was cold and no heaters on. Service was terrible, trying to attract attention to order was almost impossible. Had two drinks and skipped food. Will be a while before I go back

Absolute terrible service. From the waitress and guy in the suit. How you send some drinks and had ask twice where’s the coffee. Waiting 30 minutes for it when you’re not even busy.

Had a lovely girls' breakfast today and it couldn't have been better. The weather was perfect for sitting outside, and the service was top-notch. Our waitress, Fabia, was incredibly welcoming and patient in explaining the menu to us. I had the smashed avocado with eggs, which was delicious, and my friend enjoyed the eggs benedict. We arrived just a few minutes before closing, but Fabia kindly asked the kitchen for more time, which we really appreciated. Thank you for the wonderful experience, Fabia! We’ll definitely be back next time.

We went for the ‘all you can eat’ breakfast which turned out not to be all you can eat which we found so deceiving. You were only allowed to add three additional sides to your main dish and add an additional lighter breakfast or sweet dish . It was plenty of food but we would have wanted more savoury sides rather than an another dish entirely. Service was a bit miserable apart from one gentleman who was the only one who was warm and engaging but sadly he wasn’t our main waiter. We weren’t welcomed with a smile. Almost felt like an inconvenience to have entered . One of our seats was dirty and sticky. There was no more almond croissants, portobello mushrooms were very salty and the toast were as hard as biscotti. Thankfully the rest of the breakfast was nice and fresh. We asked for scrambled eggs and they delivered it over easy but that was retrified immediately. But if you were to advertise breakfast as “all you can eat”, it should be unlimited food and not limited in any sort of way.

Drinks after work and we were assigned an outside table, which was perfect for a warm August evening. Service was prompt and efficient and a big shout out to Leanna for always being there when we needed her to top-up our glasses! Would thoroughly recommend and I can't wait to return.
