We went for a Sunday roast for the first time here and we were not disappointed! It was absolutely delicious! Atmosphere was great, service was top notch! We will definitely be back 👏🏻🤌🏼

Had booked on line and specifically requested table downstairs and not in the dark corner by the entrance to the theatre. I explained my friend is 94 so stairs would be difficult and in the dark corner she can't see. Arrived to the tiniest round table at the bottom of the stairs, by the fire. So small and awkward to use that when our food arrived we had to put the candle, water, our drinks on the floor so that our two dinner plates could fit on the table. We couldn't even fit the bowl of cauliflower cheese or stuffing we had ordered on the table. Really awful. Staff were very good and polite. My friend had pork, no complaints, other than, as always here, nothing is piping hot (they obviously don't read any reviews). I had lamb, which was beautifully cooked but it consisted of 3 tiny slices ( each the size of a Wrigley Chewing Gum). For £21, I expect more than two forks of meat. Total bill (we had 1/2 a shandy and a small glass of merlot) was £65. I much prefer an extra 10 minutes walk to the Loaf in the Beacon Centre (Colston Hall). Much more food, it's piping hot about a tenner cheaper and they don't automatically add a service charge (without even telling you).

Sunday lunch. Good portions, nice variety of vegetables, really crispy and lovely roast potatoes. As I gave said in previous reviews, food was only warm,not piping hot. Hubby's pork was nice but my beef was very tough and difficult to chew. Panacotta was nice but said came with berry compost, which I assumed was more than one berry, if was in fact only cranberry so not very nice. Latte was cold. So, a mixed bag really. Not terrible, but not excellent. Automatically added 10% service charge to bill.

We went there for dinner and decided to try their small dishes menu. This was unfortunately disappointing.. especially the pork and battered fish. However, the pizza was good.

Went for pre drinks and food before a gig down the road. Never been there before and didn't book but we went around 5.30 and had no problem getting a table even though the place filled up quite quickly. Staff were pleasant, helpful and friendly. We had pizzas and a side of Potatoes Brava. All freshly cooked and really fast and probably one of the best pizza crusts I've ever had. The Potatoes were perfect. There was no entertainment when we went but intend going back to experience that in the near future. Really recommend this venue.

Pizza was fine - lovely venue too. We ordered the patatas Bravas to share and found them undercooked and under seasoned and left half of them. Also, plates went uncleared between starters and mains meaning we had to move the excess plates to another table for some room! Staff a little bit inattentive.

Totally awesomely fabulous brunch. The babaganoush focaccia with artichoke hearts was exceptional. The avocado toast was the best I can remember with an olive oil of the finest quality imaginable. The decaf iced mocha was not too sweet and again used exceptionally high quality ingredients.

One of the nicest Sunday lunches I’ve had in a while. Went for the pork and the beef. Both were cooked perfectly with a nice selection of veg. Great value for month. Some nice wine choices. Great atmosphere. Staff could be a little bit more attentive but it was really busy and it is a relaxed atmosphere.

Five of us booked for Sunday lunch. We were shown to our table quickly and given menus. The staff are friendly and helpful. But they did need prompting on occasion, like to take our order, bring the bill, etc. In fairness they were pretty busy. But they also cleared the table before everyone had finished eating which is one of my pet peeves. It was also fairly noisy so it was difficult to hear the conversation at times. An age thing? Anyway, overall it was a good experience. It has a bit of a funky vibe and the food was good and great value at £125 for the five of us, including a 10% which we increased. Worth a visit.

Excellent coffee!! I was so happy to come upon a great double espresso coming from France!! I also had a chai latte one day which was equally delicious. Food wise, lovely fresh sourdough and pastries and a great platter with poached eggs, hummus, avocado spread, manchego and sourdough toast. Love the place, very friendly staff and lots of deliciousness all around!

Nothing special about the roast dinner at all £47 for 2x bang average roast and one drink each 👎👎 very over priced

Came here early evening prior to a performance at the theatre on premises. Lovely friendly man serving behind the bar. Great pizzas. The best pizza base I've ever tasted! Lovely wine too.

Service was okay, did ask for something but never arrived. Food wasn’t as hot as expected because we waited 40mins but was still yummy. Nice atmosphere and staff were friendly. Just disappointed to be honest.

Ordered roast dinner at 2pm and left at 2.45pm as food still hadn’t arrived despite flagging with waiting staff. It wasn’t busy and the menu is tiny, so overall a disappointing experience. Great venue but wouldn’t bother eating there again unless attending an event

Have been coming here regularly since it first opened. Food is always a delight. Today was no different, excellent roast dinner and plenty of it, although the lamb, pork and nut roast had all sold out by the time we arrived, 3pm. Beef was delicious. Now the not so good .... After waiting 50 mins from ordering and being totally ignored by the table servers ( we were seated upstairs and told it was a full table service), my hubby went to enquire about our food ( not least as because when we booked on line we were notified that we had to vacate the table after an hour and 15 mins). No apology. We were told (quite oddly) that the delay was due to having to redo a number of people's roasts! Didn't instill us with confidence. Server went to check. So our food arrived an hour after ordering. It was all a bit odd and the fact that the servers just ignored every one ( not just us) made the whole experience quite unpleasant. I am happy to order at the bar, but if you tell guests it is a "full table service" you should expect them to want to be communicated with. We ate lateish in the day, so the place was only half full, so that can not be the reason for the appalling service. To add insult to injury, when the bill came they added 10% service charge... for appalling service. As I said, the food was great and I have been coming for years, however, if someone was visiting for the first time ,(it was mother's Day), I doubt they would give the place the benefit of the doubt and return again. I know times have been hard for hospitality and delays can happen but please, just let your customers know why things are delayed and they will accept that, simply ignoring everyone isn't the answer.

High quality coffee, at reasonable prices and served by friendly staff. Seating options upstairs and downstairs. Many non-coffee and very interesting deli items (jalapeno jam anybdoy?) on display for sale.

Tasty pizza, worth a good choice. Book a table if there is an event at the attached Wardrobe theatre as it can get busy. Tables not crammed in, so feels relatively Covid safe.
