200 Degrees Cafe in Lincoln

The actual look of the coffee shop is really nice but I can’t get over the filthy tables. There were 8 or 9 empty tables which had not been cleaned. Even when someone did take the cups off the table there was not a cloth in sight to actually clean the table. There were 5 staff behind the counter and it wasn’t just so there’s no excuse. Probably more staff somewhere else.

Great coffee as always. Much easier to find a table out of term time, too. Great to find a place in this county that knows how to make a flat white and takes delight in the artistry. Take a look at the photo. Not bad for £3.50!

New favourite place for coffee in Lincoln. Been twice over the summer holidays and both times the staff behind the counter have been so friendly and polite. It gets busy but still managed to find a table, coffee and cakes were good, Son had passion fruit smoothies both times and enjoyed them, cakes were lovely. Ambience is nice, haven’t been in the loo so can’t comment. Great place

Ordered 2 coffees and some carrot cake. We were given the cake but coffees were table service. We waited 10-15 mins for coffees which is not that long however the coffees were lukewarm warm at best so I’m guessing they had been sat on the side for most of those 15 mins! The waitress didn’t even apologise for the delay as if it was standard to serve lukewarm coffee with this delay….reading the other reviews on here I can see it obviously is normal practice. We gulped down the coffee before it got any colder and left. Won’t be going back!

This is such a lovely venue and location with a fabulous vibe but the coffee is never really hot enough. The staff are great, always efficient, friendly and keeping everything clean. It's my fave place in town to hang out, I just wish my coffee didn't have to be drunk so quickly!

Coffee latte was Luke warm and half a cup, i went back and asked them to top it up of which they did, also if I go again I will ask for extra hot. I sat outside and felt comfortable

Great coffee but as always a struggle to find a table because of the laptop brigade. So bad now that some of them don't even feel obliged to have an empty cup alongside them.

We popped to Lincoln to do a bit of shopping and this cafe was close to where we had parked. We arrived around 3pm and it was full, we did find a table at the back of the cafe looking out onto the outdoor terrace , which looked really nice. The cafe had a lovely atmosphere and the staff were friendly and attentive. We had drinks, a light snack and cake, all of which were nicely presented and very tasty. We were there around an hour and it remained busy. I’d say a popular cafe to go and worth a visit. We’ll definitely return.

I have been going to this 200 degrees shop for 5 years and never had any problems. I attended this morning on my own for breakfast, I had been told that the service had become poor but chosen not to believe it. I had been sat for 20 minutes and hadn’t even finished my coffee before it was snatched off my table in a hint to ask me to leave. Really disappointed will definitely not be going back anymore, really gone downhill.

Lovely ambience but don't come here if you are in a hurry! Two coffees took 20 minutes to arrive, I'm afraid we won't be back!

This place is ok if you like half a cup of lukewarm coffee, and a filthy smelly unisex toilet. On the plus side they do nice toasted sandwich’s and have a lovely selection of cakes.

Coffee cool, table unclean, toilet out of order and staff running around trying to match the drinks to the table. Need I say more

Very cute place and lovely coffee! Only thing was that our drinks weren’t very hot at all, lukewarm at best but still tasty.

Now a favourite spot of mine for coffee I've regularly visited and never had any problems. Always clean, always friendly and welcoming [with the exception of 1 member of staff] but the quality of the coffee makes up for that.

Well! I absolutely love this place… the staff are amazing, always friendly, happy and genuinely very helpful …we visit this place at least twice a week …sometimes more, they are very dog friendly… offering water for our cockapoo Winnie and even the odd puppacino every now and then if she gives them one on her ‘I’m so cute looks’ ….. shout out to josh, you are fab! … but anyway really lovely, coffee… and the cakes are delicious too ….especially the carrot cake! Keep up the good work! Definitely a must when in Lincoln!

Food and drink was nice, coffee and almond croissants. My wife went to the toilets and found them in a disgusting state - Need to check and clean them!

AVOID!! A full, scolding coffee spilt over me and no compensation offered. Accidents happen but the service was THE WORST. Gemma the manager was condescending and arrogant. We had to ask for a refund! To make matters worst, we heard the Gemma the manager laughing about us to other staff members!! Possibly the worst service I have ever experienced.

I was in the queue for 20 minutes and then service was rushed and not even an apology for waiting. Staff looked stressed and unhappy. I love this coffee shop and brand but unfortunately I've noticed a decline over the years. Staff turnover seems ridiculous too. It doesn't seem like they cant keep staff long enough to train them properly

The place wasn't busy yet it took 2 reminders to get the coffee to the table about15 minutes.The waitress then unfortunately spilled the milk all over the table.The accompanying croissant which was purchased on entry was dry. Standards have dropped as this used to be a well run place .I can see why it is 82nd on the list of Lincoln coffee shops.

Went with 2 friends to do a bit of work for a couple of hours only to be approached by a member of staff who said “I haven’t seen you order anything for a while. Order something else or you’ll be asked to leave.” I couldn’t believe what I was hearing! We felt incredibly belittled and embarrassed by the situation. We had ordered food less than an hour before so had spent well in excess of £25 between the 3 of us so to be pressured into buying more is just wrong. The same threat wasn’t made to the older couple next to us who had been there longer! Definitely not returning - you have lost 3 regulars!

Sorry, you've lost two local customers. Offered to pay with cash (in fact exact change) but were informed that it was card only. A cashless society is not progress. We won't be back.

I am such a loyal customer to this business, I must visit at least 2 or 3 times a week to work or study. I like the space and the coffee is good. I am so utterly disappointed by the rudeness of some particular staff however. To be told after an hour that I would need to ‘order another drink if I wanted to stay any longer’ in the most half-arsed, mardy tone ever, made me feel entirely uncomfortable and unwanted. I must spend a good £20 a week here and ensure I always order a drink every now and then and sometimes food when I am studying. I find it so unprofessional and all this staff member has achieved as a result is lost the company a regular customer. I will not be visiting again. From reading other reviews, this appears to be a common occurrence, and having spoke with other people, they have also witnessed this. I am sure if this continues the business will soon close due to loss of sales.
