Lot is issues with service and not good food at all. Didn't honour the reservation and looked flummoxed. Waiter was not making any eye contact and took ages to take order and bring food. Food was not good with no salt and old veggie. Not something you would see at a Hilton. Added gratuity by themselves. Would not recommend this place.

The location is very cool. The restaurant has a charming interior and the dining places are great furnished, which creates a certain atmosphere. However, the best quality is their great service. The staff is very attentive and helpful at all times. The food gets served in a good-looking way and the ingredients used are very fresh and tasty. Our waitress was called Indie, and she provided an excellent service by any means. She even read my mind and brought me sauces for the country fries without me having to ask her for them. That was impressive! I think she will run this store one day.

Just got back on New Year's Eve after spending the Xmas week there. Rooms are decent; great concierge; decent british breakfast. I did not like the Christmas Lunch buffet. My son said it reminded him of college cafeteria food. That meal was my worst $$-to-quality ever. Found a new bottom for overpriced terrible meal. Roast beef couldn't be carved nor could I really swallow it.

We were given an Experience Voucher for xmas and thought we would use it in this restaurant as we were stay here for the weekend! All i can say is this was the worst meal i have ever had in my life!! We had sea bass for mains which consisted of.....( this is what it looked like, they had opened a tin of tomatoes and used the juice of the tomatoes, then cut a tomato in quarters and put that in and more cherry tomatoes with it, tomato over load! and the sea bass was plonked on top! We would have got more flavour and presentation in McDonalds. We have travelled many places around the world and eaten some beautiful food and also awful food, but this place was disgusting for food! If we hadn't had the voucher it might have been different....who knows.

I thought it was all over priced but the best thing was the air conditioning on this hot day! Would not come again unless I was hot!!

Went here with my partner for a activity superstore gift someone had bought us as a present for dinner. When we arrived after our long journey we had to use the toilet facilities, shock horror to find the disabled ( only women toilet) was absolutely disgusting. Paper towels everywhere and ladies toiletries. I had to speak to the receptionist and she got onto it straight away. ( toilet was cleaned) but first impression it was a bit late. Once we was shown to our table we were given a very basic menu choice. I ordered the seabass which to be told they didnt have but gave me a choice of different fish, the food came and my partners chicken was very dry from the off, but the salmon was lovely. Soup was nice for starters and dessert for my partner was lovely. Staff were great and welcoming. Just too basic menu choice and would have preferred the main menu and paid extra if needed and not worth the money, had better.

A friendly welcome is always a good sign and that is what we received here. We were quickly shown to our table. The decor is lovely and clean and the seats comfortable. We had had a pleasant drink in the bar first. The food was excellent. I had the carrot soup - superb. We both had the sea bass with lots of tomatoes! This was also excellent and beautifully presented. The portions were of a good size. Our server, Adele, was professional and caring - an asset to the establishment. For a Saturday evening, it was very quiet - only two other tables occupied. I don't know if this is the norm or not. Its convenience to Victoria Station is a plus. The road outside, though, is very quiet. We look forward to returning.

I popped in for a quick drink on a Friday evening on my way to Pimlico. The bar itself is inside the Hilton Doubletree Hotel just outside platform 1 of Victoria station and close to the UK passport office. The décor was nice as you would expect from a Hilton. the music was low. There are 2 TVs at each end of the bar (sound down and on the news channels) and there were plenty of tables available even at 6.30pm on a Friday 9I counted 15 people in the bar and they were mostly American). The staff were very friendly but the beer selection is not too varied. in the end I had a bottle of Budweiser for a little over £5. They do have a nice looking cocktail menu - most appeared to be £8.25 and the bar menu is big and varied, though I didn't eat. Lastly, it smelt very nice indeed! This is probably because it is almost an extension of the lobby. So, a nice quiet bar, near the station and just around the corner from Pimlico's pubs and restaurants - not a bad place to start an evening out or to wait for your train.

The Risotto was awful - very dry - I sent it back and just had the cheesecake which was very good. Unfortunately my server was very difficult to deal with throughout - she did not listen to me when I sent it back and ordered me another one. We walked with our luggage the very short distance from Victoria Station and our room was ready at 11:00 in the morning, which is excellent after a 25hr day including a flight. The reason we selected this location was that it is close to the Victoria Bus and rail stations. After we dropped at our room and a quick nap we were able to walk 10 minutes to Westminster, get in the sue, take the tour and see Parliament. We then went up the Eye was back at the hotel after a 25 minute walk.We then were able to go to St. Georges Pub which was excellent as well The room was very clean and met the Hilton standards.

While staying at the DoubleTree Victoria, we were entitled to breakfast included. We noted that the hotel had posted recommendations regarding the best time to eat - no queue, probable queue, and queue - no line, might have a line, and definitely there will be a line. We fell in line with their suggestions and went at times when there was no line. Food was warm, or cold, depending on your preference. Large containers of orange, apple, grapefruit and other beverages were in one of the dining areas. There was a variety of fresh breads and muffins. Service was good. Jaffy seated us the first morning and immediately helped us change the chair to one without arms. He cheerfully brought coffee several times and chatted briefly with us, making it a memorable meal. The next day, a young lady showed us to our places. The last day, we had to leave at 3 a.m., so the hotel packed a courtesy breakfast for us. There was a slight glitch in that procedure, but Saeed cheerfully set about fixing it. The lunch had orange juice, fruit, a muffin, and some bars.

Decided to have a few drinks in the bar before seeing a show locally as we were early. There were a few people sat around on the sofas and a few in the restaurant area, one couple at the bar. I stood at the bar, waited, and waited and waited and waited.......the chap behind the bar looked at me a couple of times from the other end of the bar. Admittedly he did appear to be doing an order of drinks as he kept looking at a receipt and made 4 drinks, extremely slowly. Not once did he acknowledge me with a nod, smile, nothing, not even "I will be with you shortly". Drinks finished, yay I will be served I thought.......dont be silly.....scrap of paper on tray picked up, sauntered to bin and then returned, oooh, my turn now? Nope, picked up bucket and dissapeared.....????......ah, Ice needed, myst be the extremely fast melting ice that needs putting in the sink before a customer can be served. I had be joined by another customer waiting by this point, we both kept looking at each other in disbelief. 10 minutes had passed now and as it was apparent the service was diabolical we donned our coats and left.Sorry but I would expect better than this from Hilton, your staff obviously need training. And I am not expecting a response to this from you as you appear to have stopped responding to your reviewers as of the middle of last year!

She did say sorry but not sure how much she meant it, no manager came over to see if i was ok - very poor customer service. We had the £34 per head deluxe menu which differed from the "normal" at £20.50p by the addition of one crumpet and a glass of bubbly - not worth it. Portions were extremely small, verytiny sandwiches and cakes. This was a huge disappointment and I would not recommend this afternoon tea to anybody. Booked a voucher on Groupon for afternoon tea for 2 and bubbly. On arrival we were seated and given menu's (special Groupon Menu) and Tea selection. When the afternoon tea came I was little disappointed. the sandwich selection was varied but there just wasn't enough of it (4 little triangles - 2 pieces of bread) I'm used to being over faced with an afternoon tea but It looked a bit sparse. The cakes I felt there could have been more variation in as we had 2 pieces of the same cake out of the 4 given. The food was nice but I wish there was a bit more. Also it's hard to see if this was as good as the normal afternoon tea's here as it was a special menu and not the normal one (also hard to justify on how good a discount it really was as its a menu designed for the offer) I don't think I would have this here again, it was just OK.

Restaurant is part of the Doubletree by Hilton- Victoria hotel. We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights during August. Breakfast buffet is extensive. Worth the price. Had dinner at the Bar which has a separate menu from the main restaurant. Loved the risotto with asparagus. Grilled chicken salad was enjoyed by my dining mate. Fast service in casual and relaxing atmosphere. Watched the Olympics in the bar area.

No atmosphere, nice staff but didn't sort out drinks at the beginning. Food quality was good but too expensive. No one came over to get our drinks. When I got up to go and get a waiter myself he did not have a pad on him. Impatient to wait further I suggested he just took the order without a pad. We were then told the steak would be 25 minutes, so I pushed and got that changed to 15 minutes. I don't know how many people were ordering from the hotel but the restaurant was empty so I couldn't see a reason for the food to take so long. Wouldn't go back due to price and lack of atmosphere.

The review is not about the hotel as we did not stay, but it is about " 2 Bridge Place " restaurant within the hotel. We saw a deal on groupon - starter and main for £17 and a glass of wine. five of us meeting up ex work colleagues.1. on arrival they said they 'had' to have the voucher printed out (i had booked for 7pm online with the voucher for 2 of us and had no idea i also now had to produce a piece of paper). I was very embarrassed in front of my 4 friends and the other friend who also bought a deal x 2 had to do the same as me and go to use the hotel computer. i spent 20 mins trying to view the voucher in my email and then on groupon site - it was a nightmare as the the site now told me i could not look at voucher again as it was used!! The staff were helpful but the fact it was required meant this caused all the heartache in the first place! The starter was very poor considering two courses came to £17 - for that money both starter and mains should have been very good. I had carrot soup with honey because the server highly recommended it! and it just tasted like a load of watery sugar - i could have made it better myself i'm sure. It's not hard to make good food for this money and make a good profit. the chicken main had a nice stuffing, but the actual chicken was too dry (overcooked) and only moist in 'some' areas. not good. my friend gave me some of her chicken and hers was even worse. The vegetable stack that came with the chicken was very good but that was about it. if we had not filled ourselves up with the bread and butter at the start, we would have been very hungry still.Next: the service was very poor. After two courses we were totally ignored for the rest of our evening even though we had told them at start we wanted to upgrade to 3 courses! (for an extra £4) when we finally had to ask for dessert they told us they were now closed! they were laying tables for breakfast! They did not deserve the 12.5% service charge and I am sad that I paid it but when you are with 5 friends who are not family, you are embarrassed to speak up so you let it go. Having said all that, if we had had a good dessert and the chance to choose one, (and by the way I asked at the start whether we can have the upgrade of £4 for a dessert and they said yes), so they knew we wanted dessert! - they told us we could also have a different choice of dessert deal of 2 for £6 so that tells you we had the conversation. We were still ignored for dessert and even coffee offers. Nothing further... it was as if we were not there. We feel we definitely got worse treatment because of having a discount voucher. That is discriminatory and very sad. Surely the purpose of these deals is so that you get to experience a place and hopefully want to return. They obviously did not care whether we returned or not. This plus the fuss about the piece of paper with the bar code on made the whole evening a shambles. I have made a complaint to Groupon about the booking procedure paperwork shambles and await a response.

i booked this on a deal with Groupon and because it was convenient to station for my friends coming from far away. There was a mix up because i booked online as I was told to once i purchased the deal, assumed all was now fine ; but the restaurant insisted they still required the 'paper' version of the booking with a bar code. I was not informed about this beforehand and was a very embarrassing and stressful 20 mins on hotel computer to resolve running back and forward to waiting staff member. a nightmare. At the start, we informed the waiting staff we would like to upgrade to a dessert with our meal as per the advert. they said that was fine. carrot soup with honey, very bland, tasted too sweet with not much carrot flavour and yet the waitress suggested it was just the best thing! The chicken was overcooked and therefore dried out. I managed to eat all mine as parts of it were moist but my friend gave me some of hers and it was even worse. My other friend who had pasta appeared happy with it. We waited to be offered dessert and were talking a lot as we were having a reunion so we waited on them as opposed to asking but eventually we just had to ask because we were basically being ignored once we'd had our main. not a soul came up to us not even to offer coffee. If we had not filled up on bread and butter at the start we would have been still hungry. We were then told that we were too late for dessert and they were laying tables for breakfast. The time was only 10pm. I feel we were discriminated against for having an 'offer' and treated worse than others there. I was very disappointed as the reason I upgraded is because I have a sweet tooth so pudding was very important to me, and also because we had told them at the start! won't go there again as a result and have complained to Groupon about the mess-up with the paperwork.. no idea yet if that part is down to hotel or groupon but it also almost spoilt our reunion.

The food was nothing out of the ordinary, and took some time to be served. The staff (paticularly the Maitre) was very friendly and accomodating; the bar part was a very nice spot to watch the UEFA soccer championship, the English fiasco notwithstanding.

We usually eat here before travelling back home from London - it is behind Victoria Station which is perfect for us to end our trip. We visited here early evening for a meal - the restaurant was not busy. We both had fillet steak- with a tastecard we get 2 4 1 so it was £14 each which was an absolute bargain! It was cooked perfectly- very well done for me but not tough at all. The chips are thick cut and tasty. A good way to end our weekend break.

For my second night I decided to try the Table D'Hote menu. 2 courses for 21 or 3 courses for £24. I opted for the Butternut, Gruyer and Quinoa Roulade, for mains I went for Basa and dessert the creme Brulee - it was fantastic - all compliments to the chef. It was great value and really tasty - I would definitely return.

The food and the service were both very good at 2 Bridge Place, and at just over £50 for two for a three course dinner with a glass of wine I thought it was good value too (dining from their pre-theatre menu). The only downside to 2 Bridge Place is that is obviously a hotel dining room (for the Hilton DoubleTree), comfortable, reaonably modern and bland.

I had a lovely evening meal celebrating my birthday. Very attentive service, and fabulous food. My husband a coeliac was well catered for requiring a gluten free diet. I did not specify it was my birthday on booking but I guess the waiter must have heard me talking as after our meal the waiter brought me a lovely piece of cake with happy birthday written on the plate in a fruit coulis and each of us a small box with chocolate truffles inside..

Went in the restaurant for a meal after the theatre. We made some good choices with the lemon risotto and salmon for a starter, which I loved, my friend enjoyed her carpaccio, then we both had the chefs special of beef medallions with mixed mushrooms and spinach, plus new potatoes. The beef was cooked perfectly and very tasty. Service was friendly and helpful, they happily changed the gnocchi for new potatoes on the main course. Would happily return and would definitely reorder the beef!

Visited last Saturday at lunchtime for afternoon tea. We were seated straight away and one of the serving staff went through our menu. Once we had chosen our choice of tea, we were served very quickly, with our drinks and food arriving straight after each other.Everything was very nice, including our tea but it was a very light afternoon tea against others I have had, so we landed up topping up our lunch elsewhere. We were very kindly given two proseccos even though my friend wasn't drinking and had ordered another non-alcoholic drink. However, she did also ask for a hot chocolate to come later, but this never came. This place had a nice atmosphere and the staff were pleasant, but there are other places that I would more likely go back to for afternoon tea.

The food was below average. I sent back my pulled pork starter because I couldn't find the pork amongst the fat! The waiter apologised profusely but it was still on the bill. The rest of the food was not worth the money either, however the waiter was attentive.

We were a little peckish at 9:30 and the St George down the street was closing at 10 on Sunday evening. We ordered a club sandwich to split. It was okay. Not bad, not spectacular. The fries were subpar for English chips! And I was so looking forward to them, too!

I used the bar at the hotel as I was meeting someone there. I walked into the hotel and saw a member of staff, he gave me no greeting. I went to the bar, again no greeting from the bar staff.I sat down, the bar had 3 other people in it. Know bar staff came over to take an order. I went over to the bar and again nothing, no 'hello what can I get you', 'no hi how can I help'.At my table there was a lot of mess on the floor, crisps had been dropped, no one came over to clean it up.I don't ask for much, but manners are important to me and they cost nothing, but can bring so much revenue to the bottom line.I will not go back to that hotel, can they afford to loose my revenue
