Incredible meal at the cast iron bar & grill, we’re a bit hesitant because of the negative reviews but the food was insane, staff were lovely and would 100% return! Such good value for money! Went to the Ivy a few months back and would choose here over there any day :) thank you guys!!

Tasty food and good service but we were disappointed to be allocated a table at the back of the restaurant, despite having booked well-ahead so we were sitting on our own in an area with no other customers and no buzz or atmosphere as in the main dining area.

The offering during the pandemic is poor.... One choice of steak, chips and watercress. No sauces available. No other sides as part of the offering. This is not the experience that this restaurant has built its reputation on.

Dan in the restaurant was hilarious. Food was okay and the value for money good. Dan, we know you’re still new but keep on rocking !

We had dinner here on our first night stay at the hotel as we arrived around 8pm. The restaurant was quiet, but comfortable. Our server, Dolly, was wonderful! She was full of life and seemed to really enjoy her job. My partner had a steak which he said tasted delicious and was cooked exactly how he asked for it to be. I had the flat iron chicken; this came with almonds on top, which wasn’t stated in the menu. This was okay for me but my partner was originally going to order this dish and he has a severe nut allergy. I think that maybe this should be stated on the menu. However, that was our only negative. The side order of mac&cheese with beef brisket was outstanding, would thoroughly recommend. Dolly, the server, was really helpful with finding information out from the kitchen for us. I am 6months pregnant so was unsure about whether some sauces had alcohol in, but she really went out of her way to accommodate us. It is a pricy menu, but we were expecting this so it wasn’t a surprise. Optional service charge (12.5%) is included in the bill.

Had evening meals and breafasts included in the package price of this break. In the evenings a sepaerate menu was provided for the group, with 3 choices at each course. A choice of red or white wine was provided with the e4vening meal. I found the food was good

The food was good, plenty of chicken when I ordered Mangalore a Chicken, though ask for extra sauce! Just beware of the 12.5% service charge!

Normally Marriott restaurants are warm and inviting, this one felt cold and sparse. The food was cooked ok but only came out warm and was not presented to the Marriotts normal high standard. Breakfast was the same, with food not being replenished quite enough which meant people having to wait.

The food here is reasonable by provincial hotel standards, but the service was pretty good - they brought out an incorrect main course but didn’t charge for it and comped a glass of wine as well.

We recently visited here during our stay at the Marriott Hotel. I had previously looked at the menu before we arrived. The menu is not the biggest but has enough to choose from. Myself and my partner decided to each have a Beef Brisket starter, this was a slow cooked beef inside a Yorkshire pudding with horseradish sauce. It was truly mouth watering. We then decided to both have a steak for our main, I chose the Rib Eye steak. It was amazing, one of the best steak I have eaten, cooked to perfection and makes me want to go back again. It was not the cheapest but worth every penny.

Went for a meal at the restaurant at Marriott Northampton tonight. All I can say is that it was one of the worst meals I have had the misfortune of tasting. I ordered a simple fish and chips, what could go wrong with that? The waitress assured me after checking with the kitchen staff, that it was one of the best on the menu. I’d hate to think what the rest of the food is like. It took an eternity for the food to arrive and when it did, I was expecting something amazing, far from it, the fish was tasteless with cardboard batter, the chips were almost like balsa wood and the mushy peas only tasted of mint and plastic. The plate was dropped off by (I think) the Maitre d, with no request for anything else that I may require, I did have to call him back from across the restaurant to request some vinegar. The only saving grace was the waitress who first took my order, she tried to make amends but unfortunately it was an awful meal. Definitely not planning to dine there tomorrow night.

We went with our 4 month old baby at 6.30 on a Friday night. We were the only table there. We ordered non steak options so the sea bass and a crab linguine and some side and starters. Unfortunately whilst the staff were good they got the order wrong and also when we requested a sauce they came out with the wrong one. We did not point out that the order was incorrect but the issue with the sauce was remedied. Linguine was very poor that we did not eat it but the sea bass was nice. Poor value for the volume but nice. Sadly we both agreed that McDonald's would have been tastier.

We found this restaurant because we wanted something close to the m1 heading north and wanted to avoid service station food. The service was good, the waitress was prompt and the food was nice. We had squid to share for a starter and then I had fajitas whilst my partner had a burger. The decor is nice and the restaurant is neat and clean. The food was nice but nothing special. Parking is easy and prices are pretty reasonable. We will hopefully return again.

Lovely meal served by very helpful waiting staff, Particularly Rita. Every one of us received our meal together, nobody kept waiting.

The hostess was excellent in sorting out a preferred table with a very positive attitude. The staff were ok, functional, and the food quality was ok. It is your only choice in the hotel, so just chose something simple from the menu.

Breakfast ranged from the dreadful, watery scrambled eggs in water, to the acceptable. Three dinners in which everything was over-cooked. Cheapest bottle of win over £20.

Eaten here quite a few times and never had a bad meal. Good quality steaks and good friendly service at average prices. We will return.

We celebrated my mothers 80th birthday here , the staff were outstanding ! Food was very good , definitely recommend the steaks & lamb shanks .... We were very impressed

Fantastic little restaurant. Lots of options for breakfast. Had the salmon for dinner and it was done to perfection. It's my favourite fish and this was by far the best....

Este restaurante existe exclusivamente para alimentar a los residentes del hotel, que generalmente son los hombres en los gastos. La comida es muy baja calidad y muy caro. Los ravioles de calabaza, por ejemplo, en 15 libras, es de la misma calidad como puede salir de la sección de la nevera de Tesco, y servido con salsa de pasta que se podría esperar de un tarro. Los mejillones no son como se describe, pero en vez de servidos en un salsa espesa crema pasty. La comida era tolerable, pero sólo porque no hay literalmente ningún lugar para comer a poca distancia del hotel.

Very basic uncomplicated menu, not a great deal of choice. My advice... eat elsewhere or starve !!!!

Average food my fish was dry and my colleagues steak was bearable. Not offered a roll and butter even though others were. I ordered the local cheeses for desert and the board was overwhelmed with a large chunk of tasteless brie apparently from cornwall and more biscuits than cheese. They do have a nice selection of local borrled beers though.

Watch the 12.5% discretionary service charge!!!!! In future we would choose a Restaurant outside the Hotel.

Under seasoned food. Mashed potato that had never seen butter, milk or seasoning.Overpriced and overated.I would not eat here again there are restaurants nearby so would recommend to venture out of the hotel
