14 Hills in City of London, Westminster

This place is not terrible... they decor is fun, the outdoors indoors jungle like theme with soft seating and a lit up bar are all very instagramable and social media worthy. Firstly it's not clear at the ground floor you can skip the queue for the gardens if you have a reservation at the restaurant.. several people queuing that would have missed their reservation slot if we had not flagged it to everyone... the security were friendly but not vocal or clear about this to anyone in the line. The staff are nice enough but evidently disengaged. For a place with these prices, I would expect better quality service.. when we arrived there was no host on the door, we were stood with a collective of other people waiting to be looked after. The lady brushed past us multiple times before assisiting people with their bookings.. a simple ''Apologies for the wait, I'll be right with you.'' would go a long way.. To describe its self as ''the best cocktail bar in the city centre'' is a far cry. This area of london is littered with cocktail bars... the drinks here are fine... but no better than jsut fine.. every mocktail is bitter and when I asked the staff for a recommendation for a sweeter pallette I was met with a dumbfounded stare and shrug.. I do expect places like this for the staff to know their menu. The website says ''synergy of culinary mastery and chic libations'' ... a lot of creative liberty has been taken with that decription. I cannot fault the platng of the food, everything that came out of the kitchen was presented beautifully at the appropriate temperatures. However, everything was bland.. the salmon, the mushrooms, the lobster, the black forest dessert... everything was just ''fine'' and no better than that... A DJ played the same sped up elevator music for the 4 hours we were there.. dressed in baggy jeans and a baker hat.. it just didn't fit with the vibe at all, he looked very out of place.. This place has the potential to be a hot spot but at the moment is struggling to even be lukewarm. It is right by fenchurch street station, the interior is beautiful, the sky garden is right there, the views are great, all the ingredients for a winner... but lack of love going into it is evident, the staff are not passionate about the place, they dont know the menu, they dont care to keep things in order like seeing people are seated on time.. the music presentation is at odds with the vibe the restaurant seems to be going for... there is no clear or fun atmosphere.. the music is a very simple repeative beat that adds no spice or vibe to the room... then its eerily quiet when the DJ isnt playing... it all very much gives off the vibe of a school disco where no one is dancing.. it could be fun and vibrant whilst maintaining its class and exclusivity but its just not there... I think a few changes would bring me back but as of right now, it needs someone to pour some passion into it before it can be considered a worthy contender of its brunch spot neighbours in the city ... the likes of duck and waffle, sushi samba, the ivy and The Ned and several other spots in the city... we are spoilt for choice in the city... as a result, i wouldnt settle for this location again.

Great food, even though we had to wait a little longer than expected, but the chef offered a complementary apperatife & when the Tomahawk arrived, was cooked to perfection & definitely worth the wait. Great views from the 14th floor, as well as great drinks. I can understand with a few reviews stating incorrect waiter orders, which may be the language barrier, of which we had with the fries, but a mistake of such small proportions, doesn’t detract from a great evening. I’ll return without doubt.

What a location and the atmosphere is impressive. This is a great location for lunch or dinner, overlooks London. The food and service is amazing.

The attentive staff provided excellent service, offering insightful recommendations, including tailored cocktail suggestions. While on the pricier side, the dining experience was undoubtedly memorable and highly recommended.

I had a birthday dinner with my friends and the only thing I enjoyed was the venue itself. Restaurant is beautiful. Loads of plants, dimmed light and amazing views. And that would be it. Service is one of the worst I recently experienced. It's not that they are rude but but they not very attentive. I think we didn't get a single smile from anyone there. When waiting to be seated we didn't manage to get drinks, bartenders don't give a.... Food was alright but nothing wow. I had croquettes and sea bream. Take a look at my birthday plate.... Ladies and Gentlemen this is a big fat joke. A tiny triangle gelly that was disgusting. I am sure they can do it better and they should. Very disappointed, not coming back there that's for sure.

Shambolic place…everything they could get wrong they did. Organisation throughout, waiter was rude, they got the menu wrong twice, no DJ which we werent informed of, overcharged us... Ive used many London restaurants who claim to be premium service and 14 Hills is not one of them. Stefan manager on the day was great and did his upmost to pull it back but do not recommend this place. Plenty of better restaurants int same area...

A great place for special meals, evening liaisons and cocktails with friends. Upmarket slightly exotic interior. Nice food menu. Not cheap but worth it on occasions.

Went here for my birthday and it was the perfect gift to myself. Maybe one of the best meals I’ve ever had! (I had the lamb) The atmosphere is stunning with great views, service was great, and the food and drinks were top tier. Will return every time I’m in London.

Dinner at NYE: Unfortunately, this was an extremely disappointing experience. Be warned—they enforce a strict time limit for dinner, which completely ruins the atmosphere. We booked a 6-course meal, but the timing was so rushed - total time limit of 1.5 hours - that it left just about 15 minutes between each course. This is utterly unreasonable and made the evening feel more like a race than an enjoyable dining experience. The service was equally frustrating. Our server seemed entirely uninterested, clearly counting down the minutes - even telling us „you have 7 minutes left -until we had to leave the table. The attitude was dismissive and, frankly, rude, leaving us feeling unwelcome and undervalued. While the view is undeniably great, the food was just average—certainly not worth the hype or the price. For such an occasion, you expect something far more memorable in both quality and service. Overall, I would strongly advise skipping this place, especially for New Year’s Eve. They are clearly more focused on maximizing profit than providing a genuine and pleasant experience for their guests. Save your time, money, and patience for a venue that actually values its customers.

Had a great evening here with my teenage daughters just before Christmas. They had a fab time and said it was their favourite spot of the trip. Great menu in particular vegetarian daughter loved the beetroot wellington. No need for sides. Fab services from the sommelier and a really good wine menu. Atmosphere / music volume attitude just right. £750 for 5 with champagne.

I’ve been here on two occasions. But the most recent occasion was for a friend’s birthday. We had booked a table in advance online for a table of 5. We were seated right away on arrival. This place has a great atmosphere, the layout is stunning and music is playing throughout the restaurant. Before food we had drinks, most of my friends had mojitos which they enjoyed. I had a Pina Colada, but it tasted of orange instead of pineapple. I wouldn’t recommend it, but my friends enjoyed their mojitos. For the meals my friends and I ordered: Garlic Prawns for starters. And then for our mains: Beef fillet, Lamb Canon, and three servings of sirloin Angus steak with chips. My meal was the sirloin Angus steak served medium rare with chips. I really enjoyed my meal, the meat was lovely and cooked just right. I would have preferred if there was more sauce, but the meal was still very good anyhow. We were here to celebrate my friend’s birthday and the staff brought out a plate that had Happy Birthday written on it in chocolate. This was so kind of them and added an extra special moment to the night. The staff were so busy that day, so we really appreciate the extra effort they went into doing that for our friend. Would recommend dining here.

I recently dined at this restaurant for New Year's Eve, and while the atmosphere was truly fantastic, that’s where the positives ended. We made our reservation online, where the dinner was initially priced at £130 per person. However, about three weeks later, I received an email informing me that the price had been raised to £250 per person, but we would receive a glass of champagne and a fireworks display in return. With no other options available—finding another restaurant in London for New Year’s Eve at the end of November is nearly impossible—we felt we had no choice. Furthermore, we were charged an additional service fee of £80 that evening without any prior notice. It feels like the restaurant is taking advantage of its patrons on holidays. I expected a more transparent approach, especially during such a special occasion. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place based on my experience.

Forget the environment is ok but they will inflate your bill as they want!

Great food, service and vibe. Have been here for lunch and dinner and has been delicious both times.

The food was excellent, and I particularly enjoyed the pineapple juice. However, I cannot recommend their services due to a lack of clarity regarding the optional costs for first-time visitors. We were surprised to find a 15% service charge added to our bill, which was even higher than the price of the apple juice they sell. Additionally, I don't understand why charity donations are included in the bill when customers should have the option to contribute if they wish.

My friends and I really loved the atmosphere and the food, but the service was not great. We were charged a service fee and a charity contribution without being made aware of it beforehand. The bill was not explained to us, and we didn’t realize that these charges were not compulsory. Why should we have to pay for a charity that the restaurant is donating to? When we asked about it, the waiter was quite rude. Keep in mind that this was our first time visiting.

Came here with friends. Food was delicious. We ordered the lamb, ribeye, Seabream and festive turkey. Unfortunately my friend ordered salmon and this was mistaken for seabream but we did not make a fuss. However; the service was very very very slow hence service charge was removed. The views from the restaurant was also beautiful.

Lovely food, had the 2 course menu of croquettes and a birria toastie. Food was really nice and had a lovely drink too. Waiting staff were very attentive although when collecting our coats, the staff on the door were a bit slow. Lovely views and would recommend otherwise!

We booked bottomless brunch option and really enjoyed our time at the restaurant. For £38 you get 2 dishes, there were lots of options to choose from and the food was delicious. This month they are offering champagne as an option for a bottomless drink and it was a generous offer. What was confusing is that the entrance to the building is shared with Garden 120 and there was a long queue when we arrived - it was not clear if there was an option to skip the queue for restaurant guests; the woman at security was rude, which spoiled the impression a bit.

Overall very disappointed with our experience, our starters came out within a couple of minutes of ordering & before our wine had even been poured, the temperature of the food indicated it had been sat around in the kitchen, similar experience with the main, which came about five minutes after our starter plates had been taken away. We spent £350 for two people: 2 courses/sides, a bottle of wine and 2 cocktails each. The food was average at best. The view & decor is beautiful however for the price we paid I would have expected both great food & atmosphere.

The atmosphere is great. The food was delicious and the wine selection complimented the food nicely. The whiskey selection is limited with the top end being Lagavulin but Robin, amazing sevices with food recomendation. will come back.

14 Hills is a beautiful restaurant; it’s spotless, beautifully decorated and boasts fantastic views of London if you are at the right table! The staff are super friendly and ever so helpful; a special shoutout to the man who helped us choose the best wine with our meals and the young blonde female waitress who went above and beyond whilst serving us. (Really sorry I cannot remember names but we were there the evening of Nov 30th so a special mention to those two members of staff). The reason I give it 4* and not 5 is because I feel there is always room for improvement. I ordered the steak and for its cost, I did not feel that it came with enough on the side. If potatoes and vegetables were included it was have been more justifiable in my opinion. Having said that, the food was out of this world and I would definitely return. I have already recommended this restaurant to my friend and she is taking her family here on Christmas Eve! Many thanks for a wonderful evening!

Unimpressed. The atmosphere was nice along with the view, however. It seems like your typical overpriced financial district high-rise restaurant found in larger cities across the world.

Went here for an anniversary, and had a great time. They have an absolutely beautiful interior and atmosphere as well as a lovely view. Staff are great, they let us know that service was a bit slow and gave is a free little snack while we were waiting. Food portions are decent but could be a bit bigger for the price you’re paying. Not much the way of parking either. Overall great experience and would recommend if you don’t mind spending over £60 a head

My absolute favourite restaurant in London! The restaurant is decorated beautifully, as well as having a gorgeous view of London. The food is incredible everytime, and the staff are so friendly and attentive. (I recommend trying the truffle mash!). I believe the menu changes seasonally, as each time I've visited there's always been something new to try. Looking forward to my next visit

Terrible experience. Awful service. Food came out at all different times and not what we ordered even though we had name tags with our order. We were given drinks we did not order, when we sent them back we were given them back and charged for them. Wouldn’t go back

Service was terrible. Waiter tried to order for the table without our permission. The food took so long when I asked if I could get takeaway to make a meetingI was told they hadn’t start making it yet. Attempted to cancel meal was told no problem but charged anyway. And then both the waiter and the manager cornered me when I was leaving and tried to make me wait for the take away in a confrontational manner. A very strange dining experience that atmosphere was lovely. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

We 4 arrived, got shown to a table. Waited 20 minutes no-one came to serve us , so we got up and left. Told reception why we were leaving. Not as if it were busy , 3pm on a Tuesday. I have been before and I must admit we weren't attended to quickly then either.

Unfortunately for a very very expensive restaurant, the service was too slow and unorganised. Three times we were unable to order a round of drinks. And had to walk over to the waiter to ask for the bill having waited 20 minutes with not a soul in sight. I have contacted them, and they say they are investigating. So maybe I'll revise this if they're able to resolve it.

We came here on firework night to see the fireworks across the city whilst doing the wine pairing menu. Sommelier Tobias was AMAZING and so knowledgeable about the wines and the way they paired with each dish. Me and my partner decided to do different wine pairing menus so we got to try 2 wines with each course and Tobias walked us through the two different wines for each dish which made our experience really fun. I also learnt a lot about desert wines that I didn’t know before. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful atmosphere, the surroundings are gorgeous. Mr Araphat was amazing as he looked after our table with professionalism and courtesy. Emran supervised our table and checked twice on us to see how we are doing. Now Massimiliano suggested the best wines with great knowledge and very descriptive. Really, our night was fabulous!

Went for the bar, really nice views, great music and good options of cocktails to choose from. Served wonderfully! Best to book in advance as long queue outside but that was for the Garden. They will let you in quickly of you have reservation.

Love the vibe here, in fact you forget you’re 14 stories up. The food is excellent. Full of flavours. The ribeye on the bone is great, best peppercorn sauce I’ve had. Lovely Malbec pairing. Friendly staff.

It is indeed unfortunate that places like this lack service quality. Finished plates had to sit on the table (>20 minutes) until the bill was covered. Lowest quality tea selection, desserts are served on a warm plate. Bar service is great, highly professional.

We have been to this fine dinning restaurant for dinner. The atmosphere is very comfortable, restaurant is very well decorated and everything is sparkling clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The gentleman, Emran (my apologies if i spell his name incorrectly) who looked after our table did a fantastic job by recommending and explaining the items on the menu. Atmosphere 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Staff 5 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Food and drinks 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Definitely highly recommended

It was the great decision to come at 14 hills exactly what I wanted. Lovely inside decoration for taking pictures and bar was look attractive though. Then heads to dinner and service was extremely great by Emran who is knowledgeable and so friendly. Fondant was so tasty filling with chocolate. Will come back again.

Underwhelming. Terrible experience with waitress Jade. When she asked for our drink orders, she completely ignored me. She behaved with the same dismissive attitude to the entire table. Very cold and unprofessional, it felt condescending. The food was average and arrived cold. The highlight of our evening was the waiter named Vincent. He generously and patiently took photos for the birthday girl, a gesture we witnessed him extend to other diners as well. Would have been nice if he had been the one to take our orders too. The overall experience otherwise seems consistent with a majority of the other reviews and I would advise against dining here. Edit: The management addressed my feedback, responding to my review and extending an apology. They informed me that the mentioned waitress has been let go. I will not be visiting again however, as the food did not leave a lasting impression.

The restaurant itself is lovely, I can imagine in the evening it’s even better. The staff all seemed very grumpy. There must have been over 5 different members of staff came to our table at some point and not a smile out of one of them, with glasses and food plonked on the table. The food was average - luke warm and not very well seasoned. Would not recommend as £500 (including £60ish service charge) for 2 courses for 6, and not one alcoholic drink between us, is pretty pricey.

Wow this place is stunning. From the decor to the view and from the food to the service, it was top notch. We were there for a post wedding day brunch and it was the perfect setting. We went up to the gardens afterwards and the views of London were spectacular.

Had a really great experience for the dinner booked with my partner. Atmosphere was pleasant and staff were very attentive and catering towards allergens. Had great service from Saimah as she was really friendly and added to the overall experience.

You can visit the Roof top Garden before dining.We indulged in the £55 set 3 Course Menu with the bubbles on Arrival. Absolutely loved it. Fast, Quality, Attentive staff and accomodating to my Daughter's Food Allergies. They made a beautiful vegan friendly Gnocchi in place of the starter she couldn't have.

Had a really great time. Bottomless branch was amazing. Server Robin was extraordinary. His service was very professionally done. He made my friend’s birthday extra special.

From the moment we arrived to when we left our experience at 14 Hills was amazing. The staff were attentive and very friendly. The cocktails were fab and the food was gorgeous. All very tasty and beautifully served. Cannot recommend the place enough.

Such a beautiful place! We recently went to enjoy drinks and dessert. Everything was spectacular! The views, the decor, and the service. The desserts were to die for! I had the lemon tart. Can’t wait to return

Had lovely time with family both of which I thoroughly enjoyed. Robin who served us was so warm, smiley and friendly throughout our visit which made our experience all the more pleasurable. Had my with us and everyone was super friendly and accommodating with him too :) Thank you lovely ladies at the door and chefs for a lovely time :) Kid-friendliness: High chairs available and very relaxed about his messy eating (food falling on the floor). Also asked if we needed any extra care for him which we didn’t but appreciated the offer :)

Magnificent views of restrurant which is surrounded by lots of tree and so natural. Very warm welcome from every department. Food was super tasty and coctails too. Would be more happier if menu have more vegetarian option. Anyway love our server Emran which makes our the day with his smiley face.Definitely come back again.

Emran and the whole staff here were fantastic. Very attentive during our whole event! The private dining room is beautiful as is the whole restaurant! Definitely worth coming and enjoying the atmosphere, view, food, and staff!

Emran helped us perfectly with choices for the delicious menu/dinner. It is highly recommended...good and tasty food.

Perfect dinner After a long day, a date in this place for dinner was just perfect. We had goat cheese and tartar for starters, and it was beyond our imagination. For main, we had Sole and Beef Filet-worth every singe pound. What made our experience even better was Emran, our server. He kept a smile on his and our face for the rest of the evening. All I can say is that the food is delicious and the service is unbelievable. Thank you so much for the great evening!
