03/12/2018: We turned up without a reservation on a Sunday at lunchtime and were warmly welcomed and offered a table in the bar area next to the fire. The pub is dog friendly, which is ideal given all the walking routes in the nearby area.

Pachamama Bistro

Cenarth, Carmarthenshire, <20£
01/12/2018: Good veggie/vegan options, the food we had as a group of three was delicious, service was great and the atmosphere in this small Bistro was excellent. This was my first visit, I will return and would be happy to take family and friends and to recommend to anyone asking for a place to eat in the area.
17/11/2018: Great chilled out environment. Me and my partner both had the veggie breakfast and agreed it was the best we've ever had. Good choice in sausages and the scrambled eggs were so nice and creamy. Very reasonably priced, will definitely be back to try some of the cake and specials which sounded amazing too.

The Pirate Restaurant

Amroth, Pembrokeshire
12/11/2018: This dog friendly cafe is gr8 very clean very welcoming gr8 breakfasts & coffee. Have visited there a few times now for breakfast or coffee & will continue to do so. There is a free public car park to the rear & lovely views over the beach to the front. Even my 90yr old Dad was impressed.
08/11/2018: We've used the Pirate a number of times for a quick coffee but never added food. This year we've been there at lunch time and found they sell a wide range of homely meals. In particular their pizzas are worth a try. If you haven't got a big appetite I suggest sharing!!

The Farmers Arms Mathry

Llanrhian, Pembrokeshire
15/11/2018: Six of us visited The Farmers Arms on Thursday night, although there wer'nt many people
29/10/2018: We had a lovely family meal here and were really pleased that they catered so well for the vegan members of our group. The main meals were delicious and very filling so we didn't have room for desserts. It was a very friendly place and we were very pleased to find it, particularly as they are so dog-friendly as well. Highly recommended and really good value for money.

Cwtch*

St. David's, Pembrokeshire, 30-45£
11/12/2018: We were away in west Wales for the weekend and had to stop by for a cwtch* Sunday roast before heading home. As usual I was not disappointed. I had a two course meal as did my boyfriend. We both had the beef which was perfectly cooked and so tender it melted in my mouth. There was plenty of it as well. The portions were very generous. It came with roasties which were lovely and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Exactly as they should be in my opinion. And a Yorkshire. There were plenty of seasonal vegetables to help ourselves to as well. There was also, instead of usual cauliflower cheese, sprouts in a cheese sauce with bacon! Oh my. Whoever thought of that is a genius. My favourite part, after the beef of course. We each had drinks. I had a festive mulled wine which was very tasty and steaming hot.
04/12/2018: We have eaten here several times this years whilst visiting St Davids. Whilst the menu does not change a lot it is interesting and the food is very good. Whether busy, when we were there in June or quiet in November, the staff have been friendly and are happy to advise or make slight changes to dishes if possible. Although quite a small restaurant the tables are not too close. We will definitely be eating there again when we next visit. The cocktails aren't bad either.

The Kings Arms

St. Ishmael, Carmarthenshire
18/11/2018: Visited here with friends yesterday during a weekend break at Tanylan Cottages. Had a fantastic welcome. Like home from home. Fantastic owner and staff, really made us feel welcome despite our constant talking through the rugby. Excellent prices and a massive shout out to Pam for so kindly giving us a lift back home xx
09/11/2018: We had a fantastic evening at The King’s Arms, with the warmest of welcomes from staff and locals alike, perfectly kept beer and some wonderful food. My fillet steak was flawlessly cooked and, genuinely, I think the best I have ever eaten (and there have been many!). A band were playing in the bar last night, but this was not intrusive and just added to the atmosphere. Birthday decorations, an impromptu round of “Happy Birthday” from band and bar, and a celebratory pudding (sweet, sticky, and beautifully light) complete with indoor firework, rounded off a hugely enjoyable evening.

The Mooring

Tenby: South, Pembrokeshire
16/12/2018: Dog friendly polite friendly helpful staff, food cooked upstairs so you don’t smell of cooking when you leave. Lovely cakes and attention to food.
05/12/2018: I went with my bestest friend to have breakfast here. I am particular about breakfast, all too often disappointed. This was cooked as if I had sat on the shoulder of the chef and personally supervised him; good bacon, good sausage, black pudding, mushrooms, 2 perfectly fried free-range eggs, thick sliced bread baked fresh from the local bakery (Loafley, in Tenby). Good tea, Good service. Highly recommended.

Florentino's

Carmarthen Town South, Carmarthenshire
17/12/2018: We booked a table for a Monday lunchtime and were surprised how busy it was. After trying the food, we were no longer surprised. The food was excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly.
16/12/2018: So many times I have been to an Italian restaurant and been given mediocre food cooked by someone who obviously doesn't know what it is meant to be like but not at Florentino's. Consistently good Italian food cooked and serves by Italians who take pride in what they do. The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The food authentic, well prepared, cooked and presented and the prices reasonable. I've been with a friend for lunch and with work colleagues on a Christmas Lunch (without Turkey!) On both occasions the food was great and the ambience good. Would recommend booking as it's always busy though we did walk in and get a table for two on a Friday lunchtime.

Cafe at No 4

Carmarthen Town South, Carmarthenshire
17/12/2018: This was my first visit but I’ve heard great things from friends who have been here in the past and I wasn’t disappointed. Great service and the food was amazing. I had salmon to start followed by mushroom ravioli, both of which were delicious and I was so full I couldn’t manage a full dessert so I went for the coffee and light bite option which was a great idea. My coffee came with a mini mince pie and chocolate truffle. I would definitely go here again, no wonder you need to book in advance
06/12/2018: If you’re looking for somewhere a bit different then this restaurant is a jewel in Carmarthen. Fine dining without all the poshness associated. Excellent menu and superbly cooked food. One of the few restaurants that you can BYOB no corkage and keeps the price realistic. Bills are paid in cash to keep the the price very reasonable. My only regret is I forgot to take my phone to take photos of the food but believe me you don’t need the photos. Excellent presentation, excellent service, excellent ambiance, well just excellent! Just go!

Ginhaus deli

Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire
12/12/2018: We usually pop in for their excellent coffee and breakfast, but decided to try their pizzas. Really lovely, very tasty and just the right size. Great atmosphere in the evening too. Staff always very good and friendly.
11/12/2018: This was our second visit to the GinHaus and it was just as busy on this midweek lunchtime. Menu looked good with several veggie options. We chose sharing platters and breads with dips. All very tasty, especially the local cheese. But, the servings were a bit small and we had to call in at a bakery on the way home! After our winter walk we were hoping for more.

Nash Farm Shop and Cafe

Pembroke Dock: Market, Pembrokeshire
11/12/2018: This establishment, though small, excels with breakfasts of various sizes according to appetite from youngsters to tractor drivers. All with local produce, much of which is from the farm in which you are sitting. For lunch, the beef, lamb, and pork are all their own produce, though the chickens come from Fishguard (which is not far, anyway).
06/11/2018: Visited one afternoon for coffee and cake and it was delicious so went back next day for lunch. Excellent food in a lovely setting would definitely go back if we holiday in Tenby again
