Dragon Palace

East Williamston, Pembrokeshire
16/06/2019: We booked for 6 people as it was really busy staff were very friendly and helpful and for a busy restaurant there was enough staff so you didn’t have to wait ,, we had a variety of food and it was excellent very tasty and good size portion could not fault it ,, a little pricey but good quality food HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
15/06/2019: Visited tonight with my partner and 2 year old. Outstanding food and customer service, very rare to get those two together but The Dragon House most definitely didn’t disappoint. Will definitely be returning when we stay down here again. Highly recommended.

Owls Nest Tea Room Diner

Llandovery, Carmarthenshire, <20£
03/06/2019: My wife an I really enjoyed this place, the food was great, people were lovely and toilets clean. You don't have to be a motorcycle enthusiast to enjoy it. Plenty of room for everyone - it really is the place to be.
20/05/2019: A lovely little cafe, seems to be more suited for bikers. When I was there, there were only motorcycles in the carpark.

Top Joes

Tenby: South, Pembrokeshire
16/06/2019: Super Laden.
14/06/2019: It feels like an Italian cafe has been slotted into a street in Tenby. Whilst the choice is limited the food, especially the pasta was excellent. If you want a choice of pizza and pasta in an informal environment this is for you. What makes it stand out is that it is not a chain and everything feels and tastes homemade rather than banged out in accordance with a directive from central control!

Blue Ball Restaurant

Tenby: South, Pembrokeshire, >100£
12/06/2019: A last minute to decision to eat, the Blue Ball were very accommodating at 8.30 on a blustery Tuesday night in June. A cosy traditional Bistro feel with exposed brick walls and archways.
05/06/2019: Visited this restaurant in May 19, and would say it was probably the best place to eat in Tenby. The staff were attentive, pleasant and courteous, and the food was very good quality, I would recommend a visit.

Quayside Lawrenny Tearoom

Martletwy, Pembrokeshire
16/06/2019: I CHOSE DRESSED CRAB WITH COUSCOUS BROWN BREAD SLICED AND HOME MADE COLESLAW. it tasted really good and the couscous was well flavoured with pulses put in as well. it got full as lunchtime approached and there was a friendly atmosphere. estuary views are all around from the tearoom and they have a good choice of snacks or light meals. worth checking out.

The Stackpole Inn Restaurant

Hundleton, Pembrokeshire
15/06/2019: Open for business, but lacking in greetings and smiles! Total indifference regarding food served and enjoyment of service. The quality of the meals served was very acceptable and well presented, we enjoyed all courses. The total bill was £54 including drinks, sweet and coffee. Would I return -- possibly if in the area, but not as a special trip.
13/06/2019: We had lunch here twice whilst we were exploring the area. First day tried the steak, it was good but nothing special, suspect I should have gone for one of the fish specials, salad/garnish was undressed, but the chips were to die for! When the chap came to take our plates afterwards I complimented him, "those chips are amazing" to which he replied, "yes" not, I'll tell chef, or thank you or any of the normal responses one might expect. However they were really good so we went back the next day for a very good rustic roll and more chips (though you have to upgrade from the skinny chips that come with the roll as standard, bit weird) . Service remained as unfriendly as before and actually put a bit of a dampener on what is an idyllic pub in a fabulous setting, think dog friendly garden, quiet village, birds tweeting like mad.... Go for the food, not the welcoming staff.

Florentino's

Carmarthen Town South, Carmarthenshire
16/06/2019: Booked a table for 3 adults and 2 children some two weeks in advance for a birthday celebration. We were advised we could arrive early for our 5.30 pm booking as we would need to vacate the table by 7.30 pm There appeared to be a problem as soon as we arrived but were shown to a table for 6 and given menus. We were then asked to move and were crowded onto a table for 4 and asked to vacate by 7 pm. As if that was not bad enough we had to wait ages for our order to be taken. The food was not what we had expected after having read good reviews. We had to ask for cheese which we had ordered to go with a pasta order. Disappointed overall and could not recommend to anyone.
15/06/2019: A truly wonderful meal at this restaurant. I love seafood risotto, and they happily made me a gluten free version. I have eaten this dish in very many Italian restaurants all over the world, but I have never had such a risotto. It was absolutely stuffed with seafood - mussels, clams, prawns and calamari, and oh so tasty! The rocket salad I had a side was also very good. I can’t wait to go back!

The Golden Lion

Newport, Pembrokeshire
15/06/2019: Popped in for lunch when on holiday in the area. The pub was cosy and friendly with a great selection of beers, Inc real ales. At first I thought the menu was a big pricey but we ordered our food and we were highly impressed. This was no ordinary lunch as the portions were very generous, the food all tasty and fresh made with local produce. I enjoyed a large Ploughman's platter with an excellent selection of cheeses and my wife had the best roast beef sandwich she has ever tasted, so high praise indeed. Would certainly recommend a visit!
13/06/2019: Ordered at the bar quick and friendly. Lunch absolutely delicious. Big plates and warm so the food kept a good temperature. Locals very friendly.

Cafe at No 4

Carmarthen Town South, Carmarthenshire
14/06/2019: Visited here for the first time with 2 friends not from Carmarthen. Had heard good things and decided to try. I must say it was a thoroughly excellent meal had by all. Staff were very attentive but not pushy. The atmosphere was very relaxed with a lovely ambience. Myself and my fiancé each had a separate starter, duck breast and chicken liver parfait respectively but we each shared each others and both starters were absolutely delicious. Our friends both had ravioli and said it was lovely. For mains we had beef with the best mashed potato I’ve ever had!! Pre dessert (a lovely extra treat) was a rose trifle with a mini doughnut and was gorgeous and we finished this all off with a delicious cheeseboard. The meal was very reasonably priced as was the wine list and honestly we cannot find fault with this restaurant! A well deserved 5 stars!!! We will be back!
10/06/2019: Would eat here every night, shame it's only open tThursday, Friday and Saturday. There is nothing not to like about Cafe at No 4.

Saint Brides Inn

The Havens, Pembrokeshire, 20-30£
17/06/2019: The restaurant was very accommodating, as we arrived late and only ordered shortly before the kitchen closed at 9 PM. We had a beautiful table by the window upstairs. The food, though, was very disappointing, maybe because we ordered so late and the cook was in a hurry. Two of us ordered the fish stew with high expectations of this fish restaurant; it turned out to be pieces of fish in watered down tomato pasata!
16/06/2019: We were staying in Haverfordwest and decided to drive the 20 minutes to Little Haven. The St Brides Inn is just opposite the main Car park. The pub / restaurant was busy with a really nice atmospheres. We had not booked a table but we were quickly seated. The service was very good, particularly considering the the waitresses have to go up and down the stairs to serve every course. The menu selection was excellent particularly the fish (they do have meat and vegetarian dishes) with a number of daily specials. I had the local lobster (thermidor) as my main course and my wife had white fish - both were excellent and very reasonably priced. The service was friendly and the waitresses work very hard. Beautiful sunset along the beach as we were leaving! Will definitely return in the future.

Mulberry

Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire, 20-30£
17/06/2019: We were a group of eight who are generally difficult to please - well my three sisters are the other five of us are much more tolerant! The waitresses could not be faulted. Superb knowledge of the menu and gluten free options. They remembered everyone’s choice without asking. The food arrived reasonably quickly, was hot and delicious. Three sisters could not fault their choices and everyone was pleased with the quality and quantity. We could not recommend The Mulberry Restaurant highly enough. Definitely retuning when next visiting our ‘Bevan’ family in the area.
13/06/2019: Love the Mulberry always a fab meal it’s the best place to go 👍Sunday dinner is superb and their set menu in the evening is great value.

Carmarthen Town South, Carmarthenshire
15/06/2019: Good friendly staff, always a warm welcome. Always come here for breakfast and never disappointed. Well worth visiting.
05/06/2019: We have visited a couple of times as this is a great place for lunch, not yet tried it in the evening. Staff are helpful and friendly. The menu is not extensive but always interesting with good vegetarian selections plus fabulous cakes. It is a place frequented by all age groups. Everything is prepared to order and looks good as well as tasting good.
