After struggling to find somewhere dog friendly in Carmarthen and always wanting to avoid chain cafes and restaurants anyway, we followed the signs to the well hidden cafe. Easy going, shabby chic type relaxed atmosphere, great choice of coffees and light bites. Record player upstairs is a nice touch. Choice of takeaway cakes and vegan pasties too. Friendly and helpful staff.

If you’re in Carmarthen and you like speciality coffee, this is the place to go. I can’t put it simpler, the coffee is outstanding, Tom knows his stuff, great pasties/cakes too!

A Warm welcome and the choice of outside, inside or upstairs. This is a small and well used coffee shop. Good value and choice of coffees, freshly made. First ever vegan pasty was tasty and it won’t be our last! Loved the locally made crockery. Other local craftwork is also on sale.

Love this cafe! Really great coffee and cakes. Nice relaxed atmosphere. A welcome alternative to the corporate chains that have flocked to Carmarthen!

Lovely coffee and cake. Loved the pottery and vinyl music too. Highly recommended, much better than all those chains 🙂

Tiny cafe almost hidden down a narrow lane. Look out for the blackboards as you walk up towards the Guildhall, or as you leave Jackson's Square. The coffee is really good (and the tea!) and served in handmade ceramic mugs. There's a tempting selection of cakes or homemade pasties, also available to take away. Upstairs is a seating area with books and magazines, you can even choose music from the selection of vintage lp's. On a warm day there are a couple of tables outside too.

This coffee shop serves great coffee done well and caters to many different aspects of the coffee drinkers tastes. It has a nice relaxed seating area outside, a record player upstairs, and serves nice food too. We look forward to returning here again.

I visited with my dad who is in no way into vegan food and the coffee shop catered for both of us. The vegan pastie was beautiful and the salad was equally as good. Great staff who accommodated our very different needs. I will definitely return!

Fabulous quirky, tiny cafe tucked down a tiny alley serving the best coffee in Carmarthen. The menu comprising solely vegan and vegetarian food is always fresh, homemade and tasty. Record player upstairs complete with a stash of vinyl so you can spin some discs whilst enjoying your coffee should you wish. Lovely friendly owner and staff.

Alleyway Coffee is a unique little cafe - often visit there alone to read a book for an hour but also enjoy visiting with my friends or parents. The record player is a great feature and lets visitors create their own atmosphere, and drinks and cakes are high quality (I especially recommend the chai latte). Some refreshingly quirky sandwich options as well - some I've had include brinjal pickle & rocket and brie & pear chutney - all reasonably priced.

Coffee was outstanding! The best thing about the place. We also had some cake which was delicious. Would like to go back and try a meal / lunch time snack. Wouldn’t recommend visiting if you’re in a rush.

Spotted the signs at the front of the alley while wandering around looking for something for lunch. Very pleasant young man served us. Not a lot of choice but enough...vegan pasty and mixed salad for my husband and ciabatta with hummus and pickle for me with a lovely oat latte and Americana. Cakes looked lovely but we were too full to try....

My wife and I came across this super cafe on a day trip to Carmarthen. My wife is a black coffee drinker and the coffee served here is top class, far better than we had later elsewhere. We also ordered a vegan pasty with a very tasty salad at a fiver. Upstairs seating, which is limited, offers customers the chance to play their own choice of vinyl on a player - we played The Who. Only minus point is that the upstairs could do with redecoration and an upgrade but would definitely head for here when we return to Carmarthen.

Amazing. Every single time!! A new menu every visit and the cakes are absolutely delicious too. The flavour that gets packed into particularly the veggies is out of this world!
