The Shed is usually open Saturday's and Sunday's from April to October. It is a small, family run venture selling good quality, locally sourced, homemade food in Brechfa Forest. They are not your usual burger van, they cook everything fresh while you wait. As it is small scale some weekends they have to close if they have been booked for another event, a wedding etc. You will notice the ONLY bad reviews are customers who say they arrived and it was closed - hardly a review! The best place to look for opening times is on FACEBOOK but it is never open in the week. Lovely food, lovely people. Check out Facebook before visiting.

Establishment is a fast food type trailer with a menu based around burger type food, but the bread and other ingredients (which rather surprisingly included haloumi cheese and avocado) were of unusually high quality. Reasonably varied menu, including vegetarian options. The cakes and filter coffee were also very nice. Friendly and efficient - it took a few minutes as the food was prepared freshly. My son's bacon roll with avocado and my vegetarian burger were both excellent, as was the bara brith cake. Especially considering the quality, the prices were very reasonable indeed. NB only open weekends + BH's.

This is certainly a different take on a food van, situated in a carpark in the Brechfa forest, what do we find, proper food, thats what. Burgers that are obviously made of meat and homemade, not a brown disc. Fallafels, haloumi cheese, hummus, vegeburgers, chicken, wraps, not the greasy offerings we so often see in food vans. And lovely cake . Sadly our group of 23 dirt bikers ran your boiler out of hot water, so we had to wait a little while, but it was worth it. Brilliant . I will be back................

Despite everything saying its open, it isn't !! I've been in Brechfa all week, and looking forward to trying a burger here after seeing all the great reviews, but I'll never know !

As an avid mountain biker, the Shed was a most welcome sight at the end of a long, wet ride in Brechfa Forest. I had a chicken burger topped with avocado, cooked paneer cheese and salad. It was absolutely delicious and I washed it down with a large mug of hot chocolate. The people serving were extremely cheerful and the 'Shed' itself was spotlessly clean. I'd highly recommend this to any walkers or bikers in the area.

The little shed is just wonderful. The staff are friendly and helpful and happy to go 'off menu' for you if you want. I often ride in the forest and a halloumi burger or a veggie wrap is a perfect end to the ride. I'm not vegetarian- they just cook really well. The burgers are massive and look and smell great. Dogs are welcomed too, Willow usually gets treated to an egg. Plenty of seating scattered around the place, benches, logs and chairs as well as blankets and rugs for chillier moments or for sitting reading the papers that are always there too. A shelter of some kind would be great too but to be honest I've never really needed one. Top-tip. If you buy a mug you get a mug and a coffee :)

Ver horarios.

This is a literal shed in the woods, by the entrance to a series of cycle routes. They provide hearty burgers and home-made cakes. I'm sure it is very welcome for those who come back from a vigorous ride (we just visited from the local village).

The food at the shed is absolutely fantastic. Everything down to the relish is home made! I live locally, so I'm lucky enough to have tried most options on the scrumptious menu. It makes me particularly happy to be able to eat free-range chicken burgers (with avocado, bacon, mayo and salad - yum!), I never usually eat chicken out as not many cafés bother with happy chicken. There are really good veggie and vegan options too (although I never can resist the smell of bacon so I haven't actually tried these!). But the ultimate feast is the Brechfa Beast, which makes my day every time! (Quality beef, bacon, cheese, egg, salad and relish!) I think it's about 5 or 6 quid for an immense burger you can only just finish, which I think is excellent value considering the quality.

The Cothi Valley is a lovely drive, from the Roman Goldmines to Llansawel or vice-versa. Between the excellent Black Lion on the river in Abergorlech, with one of the best rated beer gardens in Britain, and the Forest Arms in Brechfa, is a Bergwm Ferestry Commission carpark and trails. In the carpark The Shed has relocated from a nearby field, and for walkers and mountain-bikers offers cold drinks, home-made cakes and great burgers. Just be careful of the egg yolk dripping out of their home-made 'Beast' beefburger, consisting of bacon, beef and the kitchen sink - eat your heart out, MacDonalds...

Lots of bikers use this tiny café, but I came across it while walking my dog. it's clean, welcoming and most unexpected, sitting on the edge of the forest. Signs guide you to it from the trails.Only minus is that burgers are expensive, but they are fully loaded and very tasty. In fact, you could easily share 1 between 2 to keep the cost down.
