Brilliant food and fantastic service, great for a family gathering or special occasion. Second time we have used, this time food delivered early with simple heating instructions and was equally delicious 😋

Had a very pleasant Sunday family gathering here (24/9/23). The live rock covers band added to the party and thankfully our table was deliberately reserved for us away from the band as we had a small toddler with us who slept through the music. The staff were friendly and very attentive and the relaxed atmosphere made the selection of hot and cold tapas very tempting. All my family thoroughly enjoyed their dining experience and we shared a considerable chunk of the menu. As most of the food is authentically imported from Spain a few items were unavailable but we were expertly guided to suitable alternatives. I wanted authentic, good quality tapas in a genuine Spanish style restaurant and that is exactly what we got! I have no complaints,so thank you El Chigre 2, we will be back soon!!

If you could get 6* out of 5, this would be it. Fantastic food. Amazing service. Great wine. Unhurried good in the best atmosphere you can hope for. It’s unfathomable to me that it’s taken this long to find this unbelievable place. Go there. But make sure you leave a table for us as we will be back.

Tried Abanico on Saturday night and so pleased we gave it a go. The care given to the preparation and quality of the ingredients was obvious throughout. Delicious authentic Spanish courses along with all the necessary instructions to simply reheat in the Oven. We also loved the Spanish themed Spotify playlist, thank you and keep cooking!

Wow!! Amazing find! Location - don’t let the location out you off, it is unusual, but let’s face it if it was in the middle of Cambridge the prices would be ££££. It is hidden away and doesn’t offer great curb appeal. BUT and it’s a big but hopefully you’re not looking for a nice location/building as a priority when looking for good food/service. The welcome and service was second to none! So friendly and welcoming. It felt like visiting a family friend’s home. The food was fresh, perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. All the food combinations worked perfectly and every single plate was extremely tasty. We will definitely be returning and I recommend highly to any foodie lover.

We called in on the off chance for breakfast, we weren’t disappointed. We had three full breakfasts (two regular and one Shrek sized for those of you who want to clog your arteries slightly quicker than the rest of us.) No complaints from anyone. The staff are friendly and really accommodating, a big shout out to Sienna and Amy, they took care of us as if we were regulars, always a good sign. All in all a pleasant surprise and a new breakfast spot in Lowestoft, a winner all around!

Amazing place for food and the atmosphere. We did the tapas option and was not disappointed. We chose a few dishes each and the portion sizes are big. All the food was delivered when ready and was delicious. Would highly recommend and will definitely come here again next time I'm in old time.

I've eat steaks over the world, and have to say their steak is one of the best I ever had. The fat was melting in your mouth and packed in flavour, the steak was cooked nicely and served on a hot plate in case someone in the table likes it cooked for longer. We loved the croquettes, and don't forget the prawns, they were super tasty. The only downside was the blue cheese which we found it too strong for our taste. If you are looking for a great experience can't recommend this place enough, but is not a cheap meal, so if your budget is low I would look for a different option. The staff was great and we loved our night out. We will, definitely, be back

A lovely friendly pub, clean and welcoming. The food is delicious, I'm determined to work my way through the entire menu which means I'll need to go there on many occasions. That won't be a hardship, the Queens Head is absolutely top drawer.

After receiving confirmation of our booking which was made days in advance we took a taxi on a cold wet evening to the restaurant only to find it closed. We called later and were told that the owner had decided not to open until later in the month. His staff had turned up and been notified about an hour before opening time. What a way to run a business.

Visited for the first time and was blown away by how good this place was! Staff were so friendly - a special thanks to the barman for making our evening extra special. Food was 10/10, best I’ve had out in a long time. Can’t wait to come back!

We've been meaning to come for ages, it was definitely worth the wait, and we won't leave it so long next time! The lunchtime set menu was amazing value for money (even tho we were greedy and went for an extra dish!) We had the chorizo (perfection), whitebait (superb), prawns, tortilla, jamon y queso patatas, cerdo iberico, almond & lemon tarts - all were absolutely authentic, flavoursome and hit the Spanish spot perfectly. Marie was a wonderful hostess and looked after us impeccably. We'll be back very soon and hopefully it will be sunny enough to enjoy the garden and have the full Spanish experience! Thank you all.

We went this evening for Tapas Tuesday (we’ve been a few times before) The place was pretty busy as they’d had lots of walk ins however this did not faze the staff at all! Services was impeccable as always and food was amazing. Well done James, Izzy, Michael and Ethan you all worked so hard this evening! (we promise to book next time 😊)
