The food at the queens head is amazing. Eat here most Friday lunch times and never lets you down. Would highly recommend.

Always fantastic food, drinks and friendly staff. Really accommodating for fussy children too!

Apparently they don't do food on a Monday. Which is not mentioned anywhere here. So don't bother going on a Monday. I'm unsure what other days they do or do not serve food on as it's also not clear here.

Had a good meal and some nice drinks.

Evening out to celebrate with friends at our local Restaurant/Pub. Although quite busy the staff seated us quickly and it wasn’t too long before our order was taken. Service by a young female member of staff who was friendly cheerful and very polite was carried out faultlessly and efficiently. The three of us had different dishes as well as sharing a starter taken from both the menu and the specials board. Again we didn’t wait long before our meals were served and the presentation was excellent. We all agreed that the food was absolutely delicious I can say no more other than that we will be returning again in the future.

First visit today for dinner. Reasonable food and service. Unfortunately, there were young children running about uncontrolled and shouting for most of the time we were dining. We will not be visiting again.

We live in the Village and we didn't have a good experience. Not really good attitude from landlady, rude, makes you feel not welcome. We not going there again.

Friends 50th birthday meal. 18 of us and the meals was spectacular. Everyone really rated the staff (young man with beautiful wild curly hair), young ladies who served us - brill. Thank you for a very tasty, hot meal. Never been before but will definitely visit again and highly recommended.

Very warm, inviting staff and attentive staff. The food was excellent and the specials board offered a varied selection. I will definitely be returning in the near future.

Excellent but not too big a menu, quality well cooked food in just the right proportions and served by a friendly and efficient team. One of us had Turkey & Trimmings and the other had Roast Pork. This is our local pub, we had,nt been in there for a long time, but decided to go for my birthday in November it were fabulous, we went for Sunday lunch, roast chicken or Lamb or beef, with roast potatoes and all the trimmings, for dessert, cheesecake, sticky toffee pudding, or apple pie. We will now continue to go back there as food is of good quality

absolutely awful went in because it was raining and was having a chat with a friend and was being pestered to buy a drink for about 10 minutes back and forth then got ID for no reason and then got kicked out and called a youth and said this isn’t a youth club and all i was doing was trying to warm up then get a drink

We had a table for 11 people, ordered in advance of the meal. Customer service was very good made us feel very welcome. Food was excellent and good size portions. Would recommend The Queens Head to anyone wanting a meal out that was good value and in a lovely relaxed atmosphere.

Staff were all friendly. Food was great quality and not only an exciting but also extensive menu. And it was so good we ate there 2 nights running. Really good quality home cooked food with imagination. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the Cambridge area.

Family dinner -early-with daughter /son in law/granddaughter and my wife -It was quiet 630 start but England were playing under 21 football final so plenty of noises off from bar /snooker area ! 2x prawn risotto chicken milanese pizza and child's carbonara-all very generous portions ,tasty and well presented .Charming young waitress could not do enough for us . Reasonable prices including wine and generally a very good experience .

Stopped off for a pud lunch at the Queens Head Needingworth. Food was delicious, hot, wholesome. A faultless home cooked meal. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Will definitely be coming back.

Went on 1st date here!!! Was OK but lacked something and still not quite sure what. Owner lovely and would say it's more a basic pub with no frills, so if that's what you're looking for, enjoy 😊. I probably won't revisit, but that's just my personal choice and there was nothing awful about this place, just not quite right for me 😔

This pub just gets better and better. Great service , fantastic food and a large range of value for money drinks keeps you going back for more. Treat yourself, you will not be disappointed

I've never had a bad experience, staff are friendly and attentive. This is not our local but choose to come here more than most places for food.

They catered for a party of about 20. Food was was excellent - very tasty and good portion sizes. Staff were great - friendly and efficient. Can’t fault it and would highly recommend.

On Thursday 12th January, we checked their website. looked at opening hours, checked the menu, and drove there to eat, Closed!! Why didn't they update their website? Had a lovely meal at The Marsh Harrier, a couple of miles towards St Ives.

Good food but 1 meal of beef very fatty otherwise good

We didn't have food but were told it has excellent food, if it wasn't close to dark we would have had im sure a way better meal than we had,we had to walk more than mile back to.old ferryboat inn, where we had a terrible inedible dinner. The bartender & patrons of Queens head so friendly, a pleasant experience

Friendly staff and amazing atmosphere

Food is varied and good. Always an interesting vegetarian option. Go out of their way to accommodate my two handicapped children with suitable food.Always a warm welcome with a family atmosphere.

Never had a average meal here! Always brilliant food at a very decent price! High praise to the staff and manager as I had a party of 23 and every meal was correct and more importantly, delicious! Lovely pub atmosphere so not uptight like a restaurant. Gammon steak is a must have!! 5 stars!!

Had a lovely meal today. From the minute we arrived the staff were superb. The food was so tasty we all cleared our plates and only had compliments to the chef. Would definitely recommend dining here.

A lovely pub in Needingworth with great tasting food. It was so good the first time we went we returned the following day. Good selection on the menu. The belly pork with cheesy mash and broccoli was delicious.

Went here as the restaurant we booked, booked the wrong day, and were short staffed ect ect.. Not planning on going back now we have found this little gem. Food was great nothing was to much. One issue was resolved promptly and professionally. Staff were very attentive and fun to be around. Even 4.9 Brian enjoyed himself. Thank you for saving grandads birthday.

The Queen’s Head is a must visit! The food is absolutely outstanding with every diet catered for. Have eaten there 3 times now and the quality of the food is amazing. Relaxed pub environment makes you feel quite at home. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Can’t recommend this highly enough!

Great village pub. Had great meals there in the past. Had a disco on last time I was there. Those DJs were awesome!

Went along for my daughter's birthday lunch. Everyone enjoyed the food. The Steak and Guinness pie with horseradish mash was outstanding. Daughter had the brisket, she has visited previously as she lives locally. We live in Cambridge and will get back soon to go through the menu. Thanks for s great afternoon.

We discovered The Queen's Head, at Needingworth whilst walking a circular on the Great Ouse Way. We had lunch and decided it was so good we booked for dinner the next day.....and again the next day!The meals are great value, well prepared and presented and there is a large choice of options. The dishes are original and that little bit different.Staff are friendly and accommodating, ......in all a friendly pub, with excellent food and great drinks. A cut above the rest.

This pub offers really great food which is excellent value and served in a Covid safe environment. It’s family run (twin sisters) which adds to the charm. The portion size and value for money was impressive, but the best part was the proper pie! No casserole with a puff pastry lid here!

Second visit today. First one was a birthday treat and l was amazed with the quality and service. Second visit was our wedding anniversary today . Both times the food has been excellent. I had Gammon and husband had Steak. The staff 5+++++.

Lunch with the family this afternoon. Fantastic meals with friendly staff serving. Food is served hot and and plentiful with excellent value for money. There is a good main menu and a great specials board. They are well set up for these trying times and we felt safe and looked after throughout our stay. Each table is thouroughly cleaned between customers. Thank you QH Staff.

After an 11 mile walk, my daughter and I were joined by my wife to go to the Queen’s Head for a well deserved lunch and rehydration. The food was excellent—chicken burgers and fish and chips. Fairly standard pub fare, but excellent quality, generous portions and well priced. The service was excellent—friendly and efficient, and the beers well kept. We will be back!

We there with friends for a Valentines meal. Considering that there were about 21 of us the food arrived promptly and no one was kept waiting for their meal. The menu was excellent and varied with vegetarian and vegan choices. It is a credit to the pub that everyone enjoyed their courses. The specials board was impressive. The last time we were there was for a Xmas function and again the fare was excellent. We will definitely be back either as a group or individually.

Absolutely delicious food, presentation on point and really decent size portions. Overall, very good value for money. First impressions not so great, it has the "local boozer" feel as you walk in to the main pub from the car park, but once you are in the restaurant its actually a very pleasant atmosphere. The service was excellent, staff all very friendly, polite and welcoming! My friends and I visited for the christmas menu and we were not disappointed. The whole lot was cooked to perfection! I had the chocolate orange cheesecake for dessert which was up there with one of the best desserts I've ever had. The only downside I can think of was the restaurant was a little chilly. So wrap up warm and enjoy 👍

Fantastic menu choices: not overwhelming but plenty of choice and my meal was beautifully cooked and presented. Friendly and informal with a good wine list. 4 stars because our table hadn't been totally cleared and there were some gooey smudges. Certainly will go again and no hesitation in recommending.

Great village pub. Friendly, good atmosphere, and the food is great.

Ate here twice while staying in a cottage in the village for a week. The first time we ate in the bar from the bar menu, it was as you would expect from a bar menu, wholesome and plentiful, nothing fancy. The second time we ate in the restaurant ordering from the restaurant menu, this was a more varied menu. I had the spicy prawns to start followed by the pork belly and both were delicious, my wife had the vegan starter and main off the specials board, she also thouroughly enjoyed them. Oh, and the beer and wine were very quaffable.

We just had a family birthday Sunday lunch and it was very good, but is it really asking too much to receive a friendly friendly and a smile? I’m not knocking the service, as it was very good, and the waitresses are young, but not once during our visit did we get a smile from anyone. I find that really odd, as it costs nothing. The food was really lovely apart from a couple of the deserts which we had a major problem with but that was handled well. The atmosphere is nice and the choices in the new Sunday menu were fine.We would definitely go back despite the lack of a welcome, but feel the new landlord should look into improving that.

Went to the Queens Head for dinner last night, hadn't booked but it wasnt a problem. Had the slow cooked beef ragu, it was delicious and a nice sized portion. Friend had king prawn stir fry off the specials board, also very impressive. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Nice atmosphere too. Very impressed.

Food absolutely excellent but noise level from the public bar rather spoiled the atmosphere. The waiting staff were attentive but not very friendly!

Another fine meal at the Queens Head. We have been coming here for five years and imminently moving away. It will always be on my list as a place for good food and service. Both current and prior landlords have made it a pleasure to eat and drink here. Tonight the food was again super. Vegetable Curry delicious. Braised brisket equally so. If in doubt try The Queens Head. It’s got a menu offer to satisfy most tastes. Always lots of tasty specials too
