First time in there for a takeaway tonight, owner is welcoming and the staff are magic. Food was fantastic best I've had in a long time. This is now my go to Indian

Ordered from them for the first time. Read many good reviews and was very excited. Ordered lamb biriani which was good but their Kori Gassi chicken curry dish was extremely bland, all I could taste was the chicken pieces, no salt or any spice at all. Genuinely shocked. Their complimentary vegetable curry was also the same. I also ordered Tandoori roti which again had no flavour at all, it was just chewy. Did enjoy their lamb biriani. Was genuinely very disappointed☹️

Worst curry I’ve ever had hardly any meat really runny keema nan had no meat in it rubbish.

Ordered 6 mains (incl one vegan), three portions of rice and some starters as a takeaway and it was wonderful. Free delivery within the quoted time (an hour on a busy Saturday evening) and everyone raved about their food. Cost was very reasonable at £15 per person. Will definitely order again, thank you Zzohannas!

First time visit. Great food, great Service, lovely ambience. To coin that well known phrase "I'll be back"!

My husband and I went to this restaurant last night and I was so impressed 😊 the staff were so friendly and polite, the restaurant was very clean and food was genuinely the best Indian I have ever tasted. Well worth a visit, it’s just a shame we live so far away or I would be visiting more often!

Delicious food. But the service was too quick, which can be as irritating as too slow. We arrived at 8pm and by 8.40, our starters and main courses had all arrived. Indeed, the main courses arrived within seconds of the starter plates being cleared. Really good food, but just slow it down a little bit.

Good curry house with decent pricing. Large selection of food, not only typical curries. Large selection of mains and starters.

Service was okay, nothing too special for a memorable experience however good enough for the community it’s in; food was a let down, the menu is big but nothing we tried stands out. I will come back as the location is unmatched and the area it’s in is wonderful.

Absolutely awful. First of all the waiters stand around on their phones and are uninterested. Second, we ordered three dishes. ALL THREE were sweet. One was expected to be sweet, we were even warned it was sweet. However I don’t expect sag paneer and Kashmir curry to be sweet. I thought maybe that’s how British curries are? Since I’ve only just moved here. But then they had the audacity to lie to my face. If it’s not got sugar in it how is it so sweet it tastes like a dessert? The Kashmir was the most palatable due to the spice level. The rice was ok. The naan was good. We won’t be back despite living next door

Stopped here while enroute to Cambridge... Parked on the other side of the river and walked across the old bridge. Food and service was very good.

Main meal was very nice, popadums not so much! Young waiter was not very friendly either but price was reasonable.

Great atmosphere, lovely food. Be aware all the dishes we enjoyed were on the spicy side so do mention to the staff if you prefer a milder experience, perfect for us though.

Absolutely fantastic. We were a party of 8 and we all agree it was the best Indian meal we had had. The decor was homely, staff incredibly friendly & attentive. We all wished we live nearer to go again but it’s a bit of a journey from Harrogate!!!! If we are in the area in the future we definitely will visit again.

Fantastic food and friendly service

The food was incredible, very well seasoned and not overly spicy to cater for westernised ideals as to how Indian food should taste. The service was great, me and my friend came on a busy day and despite being turned away from a fair share of places, they saw fit to accommodate us. The atmosphere was unfortunately the worst part for me. This would be an ideal place for a date or catching up with a friend, the issue was the work Christmas party guests. They ruined the mood with loud and obnoxious behaviour. Should I try this place again during a more normal time of year, I will certainly be updating this review. I would strongly suggest this restaurant after Christmas/New year to get a more accurate depiction of this place's atmosphere.

Pretty disappointed,was hoping to experience what I heard was very good food .However on trying to book ,attempted 3 times the fella on the phone wasn't able to communicate in English ,simply didn't understand me .So I had to book a table else where locally :(

Excellent service. When ordering a takeaway we mentioned we were in a holiday let 2 minutes away. They missed one dish when we collected. Minutes later the waitress knocked on our door with the missed dish. The food was all delicious, and the service was 5 star outstanding

Had our first delivery this evening which was awful. After dishing the two curries up and tasting it, we found it was luke warm so we had to put the dished up curry and rice in the oven for 10 minutes. The naan bread looked like it had been attacked by a dog before putting it in the bag, ripped up and had a huge hole in the middle. Once the curry was hot enough to eat the disappointment continued. Tasteless, bland and massively disappointing. It went straight in the bin with only a few mouthfuls eaten. Won't be back

The best Indian restaurant about by far. Good quality ingredients and nowhere near as greasy as the food you receive from other curries. Try a Lamb Visal or the Kori Gassi for something different to your usual order, they are both incredible. Great service and atmosphere. Can't wait for my next visit, would definitely recommend.

The meat Samosas are a nice starter and the lamb Tikka is really nice. The atmosphere is always good and the service is always friendly & impeccable!

3 of us went there for dinner, one of whom is a vegetarian. The food was outstanding, absolutely delicious. The service was friendly and attentive, didn't have to wait long for the food either, and it was excellent value. So I'd definitely recommend this place and I look forward to going back.

We had a great evening on Valentine's day. The table was decorated with hearts all over and a heart-shaped balloon. The food was delicious and the service great! When we left I was given a rose, all the small details. We will definitely come back, nice atmosphere in the restaurant.

We had a delivery from Zzohanna and they made me a curry that I wanted but wasn't on the menu. Nothing was too much trouble and the curries and service were absolutely superb. We will order from here again soon.

Just had a take away for the first time from Zzohanna. I cannot believe how nice this curry was, I have eaten many from the area and this has to be the best I’ve ever had! The curry wasn’t full of ghee and all oily, it was full of meat and the rice was light and fresh. In times like these when restaurants are at their knees, you must go local and try this place. I had to phone them and tell them how great it was, after all, people only tend to call and complain these days. I can honestly say I won’t go anywhere else now.

Great food with great service as always. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and were impressed at all the adaptations to make our experience Covid safe.

Absolutely amazing food. Phoned up as we don't eat any dairy, and they were happy to substitute the cream for coconut milk. Was so delicious and they were one of the only restaurants in the area that would actually do this for us, all the others outright declined. I will definitely be coming back to Zzohanna. Great dish portion sizes, very friendly staff and hygiene was highly regarded. Would definitely recommend!

The food was great, I recommend it. The service is also at a good level. Nice cozy place with good food.

Need to learn about food contamination, also when customer requests food not to be in their dish,for this reason I wouldn't recommend this restaurant if you have any type of allergy

Really enjoyed this Indian. Staff were lovely and very attentive. The good was delicious, we shared, tandoori king prawns, bhriani, vegetable curry and all were spot on. Really enjoyed and I would be happy to return.

Booked dinner for four. Table ready on time. Mess up over ordering. We were delivered someone elses order! Once sorted we had to wait one 1 hour 15 minutes from order to serving meal. Food very good flavour but warm.

Excellent Indian cuisine! We were looking for a place without too many pretensions, we found this restaurant by the river and as lovers of Indian cuisine, we had no hesitations. The place is very nice, clean and tidy, the staff very kind and the food excellent. Fantastic value for money! Highly recommended

Really dissapointed, looking for an indian restaurant on Google 4. 7 stars food was very average, marinades rushed I felt as the meats where dry and marinades not soaked into the meat. Real shame, absolutely boiling hot too, very uncomfortable heat could not wait to get out.

Great Indian restaurant with authentic tasting curries and unlike some not swimming in oil or grease. But it's a small place so best to book, we went on a Thursday night and they must have turned 10 people away that night as they were full.

Great little family run Indian. A great selection of chefs specials plus all the usual fair. I highly recommend the Naga Lamb and the Desi Korai if you enjoy a hot curry. Breads and sides are decent too. Phone ahead if you want a table as its very popular!
