Buffalo Mediterranean Restaurant in Huntingdonshire

Popped in en route from the station after a weekend at friends... A warm greeting and great music which is a good start - an awful lot of venues have no idea how important the musical 'atmosphere' is. Only a few folks in (6pm), but still a pleasant setting. I ordered Seabass which came with a 'nibble starter' to impress - and impress it did! It was gorgeous! And plentiful. I'm 70+ and can't cope with large meals, but I saw that off, no problem! It'd be a crime not to (even if I am related to Bonnie and Clyde!)! I declined a dessert, but I got one anyway, and it was beautiful! The whole experience was as good as I've had in years: the music, the food (taste and presentation), the lighting, the chat, the tables layout, and the whole 'ambience'. Absolutely... first class!

Absolutely lovely food at buffalo. A great a varied menu to try and food is delicious. The drinks are very good and the cocktails are amazing. Always worth booking as gets busy. It’s a small restaurant and has a relaxed atmosphere that warm and welcoming. The staff are very friendly and efficient. One of our favourite local places to dine.

Been here twice now. We were seated even without a booking the first time. Very friendly, fast service! The food is excellent and comes impressively quickly. Really enjoyed the hot baklava each time.

We came for my boyfriend’s birthday dinner and had such a great time. The staff were welcoming as soon as we walked through the door. Great cocktail menu, many can be made non alcoholic too which was great for my teen daughter. Food was delicious and came out promptly. We very much enjoyed the special effects. One of the meals came with flames, others with dry ice. Made it all feel special. I brought a birthday cake which was brought out to a Turkish version of happy birthday, we all loved it.

Was enjoying some quality 1 on 1 time with my eldest and we decided to treat ourselves to a meal out. First impression was, staff very warm and welcoming, despite the restaurant being full up as expected on a Saturday night he rearranged a couple of tables to accommodate us 🙏🏻 Comprehensive Menu which will cater for most taste palette. To start we shared the octopus 🐙 & white bait 🐠 = divine Burger 🍔 & Ribeye steak 🥩 were top quality. Meat is supplied by Gilbert (local butcher) Good portion sizes and amazing flavours, please pass our compliments to the kitchen staff 👌🏻 The servers surprised my boy with a dessert whilst I enjoyed my special espresso. The cherry on top is the attention to detail. Dishes are garnished / dressed very nicely. Drinks are served out with some magical dry ice, very unique. Will definitely be returning 🤤

The whole experience was top notch, from the second we walked through the door. Very friendly staff despite it being rammed full, always had the time to make sure everyone in the restaurant was looked after. The food was so good and something for everyone. The first time I've been to buffalo despite it being open for a while. Will 100% be going back there again!

Fantastic meal, the food was amazing, and the service was great too. Went mid afternoon so was very quiet hence only four stars on atmosphere but overall the best quality meal out we've had for ages and at a reasonable price. Even our 9 year old has said its his new favourite place. High praise! We'll definitely be going back. Highly recommended

My favourite place to eat in st neots. My latest visit I had the ribeye steak with garlic butter, it was the best steak I've had in a long while. And I'm obsessed with their bread!

We visited yesterday after helping out friends move in nearby. All the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. The owner also came and chatted to us and helped answer our questions. The food arrived hot and in good time and tasted delicious. Will definatly return when next in the area.

Fab food excellent service well worth a visit

Went to this restaurant for a birthday lunch for my adult son and had a lovely time. The food was delicious and the staff were so very friendly. They even played Happy Birthday and presented him with a candle lit ice cream and sparklers without even including it on the bill. Will definitely return to this restaurant. Thank you.

Really enjoyed our visit... came in without reservations and was seated without problem. Super attentive staff, food tasted very fresh (they use the local butcher for their meats). Atmosphere was very relaxed, and was very clean inside too. Had dinner for two with starters and mains each, 2 drinks each for around £38 each. Will definitely come back again.

Went in as our planned restaurant was closed, very pleasantly surprised, asked for something off the evening menu and no problem. Very nice food and excellent service, will revisit.

Regular treat for me and my family, never had a bad meal and the service is always brilliant. They always go the extra mile and are great with kids. Can’t fault this restaurant. Another lovely meal this evening.

We got takeaway from Buffalo yesterday. I have eaten in fairly recently, but haven't had a takeaway from here since lockdown Lovely food, great portions. I had the mixed seafood linguine, very tasty and did not scrimp on the seafood at all. When I told them it was my husband's birthday they gave us a free bottle of prosecco! Highly recommend ☺️

I don't 5* easily but loved my visit to this restaurant. Visited this place for lunch with my partner last Saturday 20/04/24, and Mimmett and his colleagues made us feel welcomed and talked us through some of his recommendations when we were torn on what to pick. Before getting to the food, the outside is very smart, sleak, and clean with some pleasing additions to the roofline. Once inside, the layout was clean, smart, and what I can imagine a classic traditional Turkish restaurant looking like, with simple but stylish decor and traditional style paintings decorating the wall. The small complementary starter (meze of olives, salsa, and tzatziki) with some lightly fried Turkish bread was such a mouth pleaser and really got the taste buds fired up for our mains (Sea Bass with pureed potato, and Lamb Shank with the same). Both were so full of flavour and portion size was perfect. Following this, the home made Baklava was terrific, and the perfect amount for sharing between two. Food wise, the cherry on top was the Turkish coffee that was served in the cutest Turkish style cup. Just don't drink right to the bottom!! Mimmett's quality and welcoming service, added magic, and general kindness made the meal an all-round pleasing experience that I would recommend to anyone, and I look forward to visiting this venue again when I'm back in the area. Visited as a group of 6 adults on Wednesday evening after Ten pin bowling. Restaurant was contacted as we were running late for 8:30 booking. They were perfectly fine when I rang and looking forward to seeing us. Once seated we were given free appetisers bread and olives. The bread was sooooo good, at least 2 more portions were ordered. Service was not super fast, but we were not in a hurry. We all had starters and mains and everything tasted great, there were no bad comments. The restaurant was not full, but there were enough people to make for a pleasant atmosphere and still hold conversations across the table. We were ALL impressed with the food and glad to have booked a good local restaurant. I think all the team will be back at sometime in the near future. Give it a try 😋😋😋

It's got all the ☆☆☆☆☆ stars from the staff who is insanely happy. It's reminded me of Fortnum & Mason London. The restaurant has a h•mecoming welcome from start to finish. I ℒℴѵℯ cooking all kind of cuisine and this place has mastered the grill texture and seasonings ingredients. It's prices are high but that's what you pay for. I never leave hungry. I will one-day get to try the 🍨 desserts. Bank Holiday April they insisted on offering me on the house their Baklava. I WISH THIS PLACE was closer to my location, but it's nice to get out of town. Have been here before but not under the new management. I was really impressed, friendly and attentive service, the food was great and well presented. Be prepared for some pleasant surprises too (I won't spoil them but well received!). Overall really good value and will definitely be back - loved it!

Great place for a family meal, super choice on the menu, very friendly service and a very easy going atmosphere.

Arrived and place was busy. Also as it was my friends birthday, they did a nice dessert and gave us all a shot of drink which was free of charge. They messed up our drinks order, making a few mistakes. Starters arrived in an average time but most of them were cold and lacked flavour. Except for the octopus which was good. Mains came 1hr and 15 mins after ordering which was a very long wait. The food was very bland again and extremely salty! They thought my friends main course was a starter of halloumi and when stating it was a burger, they changed it straight away however it was the same cold halloumi and had just been put into a burger. My husband ordered a steak and it was not seasoned at all and had not been rested before plating meaning that his plate was covered in blood from the steak. I asked the waiting staff on several occasions where the food was and they couldn’t give me an answer. At the end I told them that the food was too salty and they barely acknowledged me. Will not be visiting again!

I love this place, very attentive service, lovely atmosphere, the food is good portions and very tasty. Also a very good choice. I don't live in the area but I stop by every time I am around. I defenitelly recommend it.

Prepare yourself to buy the most expensive and tasteless meal of your life. Plus, prepare yourself to go find a McDonald's after because you'll be hungry. Honestly I had what looked like lamb nuggets kids portion. Dry, old cooked rice. They even saved on the salad. For such a small unknown British town, this is outrageous. Edit: be aware that restaurant 'buys' 5 star reviews here. They called to offer me free dinner if I took down/changed my 1 star review.

Good cuisine. Portions not so big a part the hamburger. I asked one more mini portion of a bread similar to naan: about 5 or 6 mini pieces and they charge me 2 pound. Generally it is a courtesy in other restaurant. Service very kind.

We had a meal here last night for a group of 15. The service was fabulous and the food was really lovely. I would highly recommend.

This place is becoming a favourite of ours to eat at!! The service is always fab, food comes piping hot and full of flavour! We celebrated my husbands birthday there yesterday and our server kindly offered him some Turkish tea to try and then a slice of Baklava appeared free of charge! This is the 2nd time ive been brought free pudding and its so kind and generous! I love eating here. The free bread at the beginning of the meal is such a lovely touch too

We visited Buffalo for the first time on Friday evening. We took a chance as we hadn’t booked but we were lucky to get a table. Service was fast and friendly and the complimentary bread was delicious. Our starters came out really fresh and fast. Great quality and tasted amazing. The buzz of the restaurant gave a real holiday vibe. If the weather was nicer, you’d think you were eating out in a lovely Mediterranean town. Mains came out after a short break between courses and was just as fresh and tasty as our starters. My wife was curious about a dessert but decided against it. We asked for the bill but just before the bill arrived we had plates put in front of us. I thought they were so busy they needed to set the table for the next diners but we were provided with a complimentary dessert to share and I have to say as a non dessert eater, it was amazing. A reasonably price meal that has left us with a desire to return again to try something else on our next visit. Starters : feta filo rolls, grilled halloumi. Mains : buffalo burger (beef) locally sourced, chicken fajitas. Dessert : baklava with ice cream sandwiched between the pastry. Averaged about £25 each. If you’re local, well worth a visit. If you’re not local, well worth a visit.

Couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough! Best service I’ve had in Britain. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable and special experience (it was actually my partners birthday but we didn’t even mention that!) It was also buzzing on a Wednesday night which says a lot about its popularity among its patrons.

Food was tasty with good portions for most, my main octopus was a bit overdone, a tricky thing to get right but still I left a little hungry where most didn’t so i don’t suggest it as a main. The atmosphere and service was excellent on the day. Booking and pre-ordering was a little testing as it sounded busy, they struggled to understand me and then lost our order that was adding to a large table pre-order. Ok on the day and we’d go back for sure.

Had a really excellent meal. Food was excellent and there was a really good choice. Staff were very attentive and friendly. The restaurant is spotless. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and theporn star martini cocktail was great. We have passed this restaurant several times but never been in but we will definitely be returning. Great afternoon yesterday for my mother in-laws birthday, the kids really enjoyed it myself and my wife and my mother in law, they suprised us with a little bday cake and music and clapping and got the hole restaurant to get involved.the service was the best in town really good with the children and interact with them through our the meal I couldn't fault them in anyway only little negative I would say is with 4 small children in our family there was only 2 high chairs,

Good place over all, good service too for the price you pay the portion size dosent stack up could do with better portion e.g. mixed grill cost £23 but was no way filling even after a starter so had to have another top up. There's no free parking but there's a car pack just 3min away

Beautiful, absolutely stunning. The halloumi was perfectly cooked, the sauce was amazing. The mix grill was so good, the rice had this amazing taste and it was really yummy. And as a cheesecake lover, The cheesecake was the best I ever had, even better than my mum's homemade cheese cake. Just went there and the atmosphere was super cool, and the fact you get free Turkish delights at payment is super kind, and that dried ice affect they do for you is really cool. The service is amazing, they were really kind and surprising fast. 11/10, would recommend. 😁😁😁

What a lovely restaurant with a great menu. Me and my partner went for lunch with our 1 year old. The staff were lovely and even helped entertain our baby. Food was great and even the house wine was lovely.

Varied menu, some traditional, some not so. Great service and most importantly the food was excellent. We shared a hot & cold mezze between four of us then beef bourgoinon, lamb stew and moussaka and then a shared baklava and a cheesecake. Outstanding and will be back.

I was so pleased I chose Buffalo to have a spontaneous meal out with my friend. From the amazing waiter service to the atmosphere and then amazing food...couldn't fault it at all and will definitely be going back again! Great to see it buzzing with customers on a Thursday evening too!

Eaten here many times before and returned last night, as a walk in rather than booking. We knew it had recently changed management and were hoping it was still just as good. When we left we had decided it was actually now even better. Accommodating and friendly staff, some nice additional touches like the dry ice magic, and although the menu is the same the food was even nicer than before, our usual starters and mains much tastier throughout. Busy at 5:30pm on a sat, with more coming through the door while we ate. Chatting on the way home we think it will become THE place to eat in St.Neots, wouldn't be surprised if they start having a queue at the door. Great food, Great service, attention to detail, Great staff and owners, well done!

Went out for a birthday meal, there were 14 of us. Food was cooked to perfection. Especially the steaks. The lamb chops were so delicious a few of us swapped our portions for a taste! Highly recommend. We’ve come here many times, usually for lunch but spent a few birthdays here too. We were put on a few tables joined together right at the back, not usually a problem as they’ve done that before but this time, they put it in an ‘L’ shape which meant one of the group had their backs to everyone else. They usually do it the other way round- so that the end table is separated as it’s own end table. It also made going to the toilet if you sat near the middle at the back, a real pain and one of our group ended up knocking her cocktail over but the staff were amazing, they quickly cleaned the spill and replaced the drink. We really enjoyed the dry ice show after dinner arrived. I was absolutely fascinated and filmed the entire thing! The atmosphere is lovely and the staff are always efficient and friendly - please try this place! And the fries are AMAZING!!!

Booked a table. Went to the loo before ordering, found vomit stains over the sink in the men's. Couldn't face it after that. Manager polite enough about the situation, but didn't decide to eat.

Really impressed with the food and service. The restaurant was clean and the staff was great. The food arrived in very reasonable time from when I placed the order and the portion sizes weren't ridiculous even with the appetizers. I would certainly recommend a visit and give the food a try. I would say it's a slightly difficult to find without a good Sat Nav or Google Maps to guide you so plan ahead if you're bringing a vehicle. Those familiar with the St Neots City Centre area will know why I bring this up. Overall, the restaurant is family friendly and I would definitely go back for another meal.

Great food and excellent service. This is one of my friends favourite places to go in town and as a person who doesn't eat fish, I was a bit sceptical about the other dishes, however the fajitas and mini baklava was beautiful! I will definitely be returning!

Brilliant night out with colleagues. Food was amazing, service was fantastic. Special mention to Summer for the best bit of banter we’ve heard all year.

They start with soft Pita bread with bolognese and Tzatziki dipping sauce. The Pita is soft and fluffy and nicely seasoned. I got the Buffalo burger which was medium and nicely seasoned and cooked. I didn’t like the link sausage on the burger, so I removed it. The small salad was nicely dressed. The thin fries were perfectly seasoned and fried. My daughter complemented the lamb kebab, it looked good. She also loved the starter bread. They ended with colorful jelly beans and a small glass of a raspberry liquid. Nice service. We chose to be seated at picnic tables outside. The traffic was light and did not bother us at all.

Went here for my Mum and Dad's anniversary dinner. Lovely atmosphere, very friendly and accommodating. Food and service was great! ! 10 out of 10 for the chef and waiting staff this evening!

First time there taking the partner for his 40th birthday lunch and it was amazing! The 20oz Tbone steak he wanted came out just right and he loved it! I had the10oz ribeye steak and that was amzing too! The chips were seasoned very good, the bread and sauces, the driniks....all was great! My favourite was the Tiramisu as it came out in a cake slice style but it was just right! We plan to take the little one next time as they have child/baby seats. The waitresses were nice and kind too! Great place overall to visit!

Birthday lunch with my 2 girls, service bit slow, didnt have the wine we wanted, no gluten free bread for the hummus my daughter wanted. But, it was made up by the fact that the food was very nice, like the complimentary bread and dips to start. And because they didn't have the wine of choice, they didn't charge for the one we had,so overall, very good customer service, very reasonable prices, so definitely would recommend .
