The food was really delicious and great value for money. The staff were also very friendly. The sound does travel through the restaurant so it was quite loud given how busy it was! But overall lovely place.

Amazing Turkish food. We shared a hot Meze starter and then a delicious mixed kebab served with fabulous bread.

The ambience is good, this was my 2nd visit and the same experience, chicken kebabs were salty, not a convincing explanation, staff are very cold, lamb meat was cooked well, don't think I will visit it again

Authentic Turkish food served in a warm atmosphere by welcoming staff. We greatly enjoyed the quality of the food and the generous proportions. We ate kebab, lamb and moussaka dishes, all of which were delicious and came with sides and salad. The moussaka with aubergines and plentiful ground meat was outstanding. The Turkish beer in stubby bottles was good too. We finished the meal with baklava and Turkish coffee served in delightful silver cups. Will definitely go again.

Amazing! Went here with my girlfriend for her birthday. Food, atmosphere and service was spot on. Great complimentary starters of bread with delicious dips. Had the lamb and chicken shish kebabs for main... so tasty and cooked to perfection. Finished off with baklava for dessert... sweet!! Great wine on top of this... Just a perfect night!

This is a great Restaurant I highly recommend it the food is Devine and the staff are friendly and they must have good management as the staff turn around is none existent. I’ve visit 4 plus times it’s noisy but that’s not to do with the restaurant. But this also depends on when you go in the week.

Incredible food. All fresh and clearly homemade from old Turkish cherished family recipes. Delicious! Can’t fault it. Amazing falafel, hummus & chicken shish. Loved the chilli dip too. Thank you we will be back!

Fabulous. The most beautiful meal...authentic and delicious. We have had a home in Turkey for 18 years...and this is the most authentic restaurant we have found in the UK. Very good evening here. The food was very tasty and service very prompt and helpful. The pan fried prawns and filo pastry starters were very good. I had the Imam Bayaldi a roasted aubergine which was delicious. My friends enjoyed the moussaka and the sea bream. I would definitely visit again and the restaurant was busy and clearly very popular.

We have had food from here many times now and it is always delicious and plentiful. One of our favourite places to eat in the area. Just wish they did online ordering and maybe a small discount for takeaway and collection? Every time we go the restaurant is packed!

I have eaten here many times before and the food on this visit was excellent as always. We were with another 6 friends for a catch up and my wife’s birthday. One of my friends is in a wheelchair thank you to the two gentlemen from the Valdi Kitchen that helped him in and out of the door. Starters came quickly once ordered plates were cleared away then very quickly the main course arrived. Others have mentioned being rushed but I had never experienced this until this visit. We were rushed and this did definitely spoil our night out. Having booked our table for 8pm we were out by 1015, the opening hours state they close at 11pm. So we might visit again but it will be earlier so we can leave when we want to.

After visiting Norris museum we visited vadi kitchen for lunch we couldn’t believe quality of food was so nice and the prices was very reasonable compared to other restaurants and very good service

Another great meal at Vadi. The staff were friendly and attentive. The portions were generous, as usual and I tried the moussaka which was very good.

What an excellent experience, the service and food couldn t be bettered. My wife and I came here for an evening meal and were more than impressed with what we had. Thw lamb Kofte is standout exceptional. We will be back as soon as we get the chance, price was fair too for the quality and quantity on offer.

1st time visit. Absolutely fabulous place. Food was delicious, such a range of chouces. Services are so friendly. There is no rush and very attentive staff. Would highly recommend and will certainly be visiting again.

Food is amazing... kebabs, liver, calamari was brilliant. Lamb guvec cannot be missed. If you come here please try. Quantity is massive... don't go for starter and main, if you do you will be taking stuff home.

This is my second delicious lunch at Vadi. Both times I would have been with a friend, however the second I came alone as my friend had a fall. It’s rare that I eat alone but the welcome made it friendly and easy. The food is consistently scrumptious. I’ll definitely be going back.

Well, we have returned and it was as busy as last time. We enjoyed it all but the prices are a tad on the high side, and then there is a little addition of a service charge, ouch! I don't think it represents as good value as previous visits. Will we return, possibly.

Our favourite place to take friends and family. Really great food.

Visited on a Monday evening around 7pm - busy even then. Starter of hummus with lamb was really good - but the mixed shish kebab I had for main course was outstanding. The chicken pieces were good, the lamb was amazing. Next time (which will probably be soon...) I'll just stick to the lamb. We were lucky to get the table right by the grill, so we could see the magic happen.

Food was again absolutely delicious, as always the staff were polite and professional. We shall return next time we are in the area :)

Great Turkish food with great service. My lamb ribs had a lovely flavour and were good quality, the only thing I would say was they were quite salty and needed some sort of dressing. But I would give the food 4.5 stars as everyone else said their food was spot on. Can get noisy when full but that's up to you if you think it adds or detracts from the atmosphere.

Went here for an adult family dinner tonight. Two ordered the moussaka and the rat shared the Vadi special. We are from Australia and this is the best Turkish we had including in Perth. The quantities were plentiful and the food was fabulous. We finished with coffees and they were all good as well. We have found coffee in England to be a bit variable so did enjoy decent coffee here. The only slight criticism was that some of the staff came across as a bit grumpy but I put this down to a full restaurant and being busy. The food was very tasty and all meat was cooked over coals which gave it a wonderful taste. Would recommend this restaurant.

An absolute hidden gem in the heart of St Ives. Second visit now, food = amazing, service = amazing. atmosphere = [you guess] but it begins with an a... can't fault this place, photos will give you more of a feel.

Still the best and most authentic restaurant in St Ives. Highly recommend the house platter to feed a small group. Service was top notch. One small recommendation would be a draught beer!

Warm welcome when we arrived, restaurant was extremely busy and the man apologised as our table was just being prepared. Drink and food order taken promptly and served within a reasonable time. Complimentary bread and dips were brought to the table which was a nice touch but be warned, don't eat too much or you won't finish your meal. We ordered mixed shish and a mixed kebab, both meals were huge. Salad was brought in a side bowl for us to share. Staff were very friendly and food delicious so I would definitely return if I visited St Ives again

Ordered a takeaway from here last night. Food was OK tasting, nothing special. Portion were absolutely tiny! We spent 60 pounds for 2 of us to eat and had to cook more after because we were still hungry. We has the meze for 2 and chefs special kebab. There was hardly any meat in the kebab. There are other local places which are much better quality, at least double the portion size and all for much less money

Nice place, nice decor, friendly staff with good service and reasonable prices. I wasn't that impressed by the food to be honest. It was nice enough but somehow it tasted a bit prepackaged though I'm sure it wasn't.

Excellent food, comprehensive menu and attentive staff.

The first time 4 of us went there they seemed decent enough, food was 4 stars, so I rebooked but had to cancel 3 days before, when I called up to cancel, they just grunted a half ok and hung up! How rude is that?! So hence the 1 star. It doesn't take much to politely say "thank you for calling and letting us know". I could have just not bothered to turn up. Guess they won't be on my list to revisit. Your loss not mine.

We all enjoyed our meals at Vadi, even the fussy teenagers. The portions are very generous. I had the chicken sheesa and there was plenty of chicken which was very tasty. The staff were friendly. The turkish delight was a lovely extra touch. We will return.

Once again visited with my wife,whole experience was fantastic,service,food and drinks were excellent,to much for my wife to eat so she brought the remaining food home. Going again very soon with friends.

First ever Turkish meal and it didn't disappoint! How do they get the meat so tender?

Great Take away Dinner for 4 adults and 2 teens. Our first 2 times meal at restaurant was great, but the last one back in December 2021 was awful. We booked Birthday meal for 7 people ( kebab, lamb and even fish) and all of them were extremely salty. After that point we never returned to Vadi. Initially I wasn't sure if this is a good idea to order take a way, but I am glad I did. We order Vadi's special. This was exceptionally good!!!! Now we will be definitely coming back for dine in!

Been here a number of times now, favourite place for dinner in St Ives by far. Great food, great portions & lots of options.

We ended up here after our Sunday lunch booking at another pub was cancelled. I'm very glad we did end up at Vadi. Everyone enjoyed the food. It seemed to take a while for the staff to warn to us, but they did. Would happily go back. Good beer too.

Absolutely everything about our evening there was perfect!!!

Great food and atmosphere. It always seems to be pretty busy. Staff are friendly and attentive. The only negative thing I should mention is there is a 10% service charge added to the bill which I think should be made a lot clearer to diners who probably like us always leave a tip anyway so in theory you are tipping twice.

Can’t fault the food, we had takeaways from there during covid and it was lovely so today we decided to eat in however we were rushed in the door and out. Don’t go there if you’re with friends looking for a catch up or you just want a chilled meal out. They are only interested in getting as many people through the door and out again as possible, which is a shame as the food is delightful The staff were very brisk and quite rude, as soon as the starter was finished the main course came out and as soon as that was finished we were asked for our desert order, within moments of the deserts and coffee being there, out came the bill. Whilst we were still eating deserts and having coffee, the card machine appeared, I tapped and the gentleman walked off without acknowledging we’d paid, not even a ‘hope you enjoyed your meal’! We were done in 3/4 hour! I won’t dine in there again and certainly won’t recommend it for eating in. It’s unfortunate they don’t focus on the customer experience aswell

As I entered the door the staff were very friendly and kind and sat me down straight away. The food was very nice and tasty and the atmosphere was brilliant. I would recommend to all people looking for a meal out. Service is excellent.

Gave One Star for very high prices, was a lot more affordable before, and the quality of food has dropped. I used to drive 55 mins to eat there or get a takeaway once a month. Went there last week left skint and dissatisfied with food. If your going to increase the price keep the quality of the food the same.

Great little restuarant, popped in after a long day on the road around 9pm and got a table straight away. Complimentary breads, dios and Turkish delight after the meal. Had mixed kebab which was very filling and delicious, would recommend if you like Turkish food or fancy something different to pub grub👍👍

Absolutely delicious food, great service and a lively atmosphere. We booked in a table for two on a Friday night with no issue at all (on the phone) - make sure you do ring ahead though as it was rammed when we arrived and clearly somewhere that's going to be very busy during peak times. There were numerous seating options ranging from big booths for group bookings to cosy couples tables. The only bit I would note is that there were aspects of the decor and fittings which felt a little bit dated (very minor). I wouldn't even begin to try and compare the menu with other Turkish restaurants because I'd have to understand what all of it was! Having said that, my mouth was watering as my eyes drifted across the page. You'll definitely not be short of options. My partner chose from the dedicated vegan menu and I had a chicken guvec (wholsesome and delicious) and a Effe lager. I highly recommend it here 🤠
