Vadi Kitchen in Huntingdonshire

We visited for a family meal on a Friday evening. After a warm welcome, we were shown to a lovely large table in the front window. There is a varied menu to select from. We chose a mixture of starters and mains to share. The food was plentiful and all delicious. The service was excellent throughout. We would highly recommend.

Double date with birds. Turkish. Starter and a main. BOSH. The girls chose the same….. ‘how funny’. Not really. The food and service was excellent, as I’d been told by multiple people to expect. I started with the pastry feta cheese rolls, posh I know, but I like my feta what can I say - very good left me yearning for more. ‘Try some of this bread babe’. Nah mate. I want meat. Me and my pal had the mixed kebab of course, lathered in chilli sauce, laaaaverly jubbly. Unlike me I couldn’t finish it…… doggy bag please, boshed it for brekkie didn’t I, air fryer, plate, mouth, BOSH. I left with a stomach bulging that I nearly left it in the alley way afterwards. Decent menu. Decent price. Decent service. What can I say. Decent Turkish. If they cut hair as well I’d be sorted wouldn’t I. I’ll be back to tackle that mixed kebab with the boys and there’ll be no stopping me.

Very nice Turkish food. Pita and hummus was a treat. Great portion sizes

First time visit but won't be the last. Good quality food in very clean establishment. Plenty of servers and food came out quickly. Very friendly and helpful staff. Look forward to our next visit

Design At the time of the visit it was pretty well full which made it quiet noisy for a while due to a birthday party having a meal. However once their meal completed the noise lessened. It is nicely decorated not too over the top which made for a relaxing experience . We sat at the table immediately adjacent to the entry door so if you don’t like draughts best avoid this table as you might get a draught when the door opens . Service Excellent service was provided with enough time given to allow for making a choice from the menu Food Starter - I had the spicy sausage which was full of taste but thought the portion was small especially the side lettuce that came with it . Mains These portion sizes were a good size and very feeling and once again very tasty , the mixed kebab was lovely with the meat bring very tender. Advise Would park in the local town car park as parking in the street outside is hard to find

Good service and warm welcome. Food was good at the time although a number of us had a bit of a dicky stomach the next morning. Cannot be 100% sure it was the food or not, or just the very strong Turkish coffee!

This Turkish restaurant is one of the greatest restaurants in St. Ives. You would not regret giving a try. Customer service is above and beyond standard.

First time here. We were welcomed straight away. Excellent service, food came very quickly. Fabulous flavours and lots of it. Great experience, and we will definitely be back.

Sunday lunch with family. Food was very well cooked and presented. We had different types of lamb, grilled, stew, and in the oven. Large portions. The view in the kitchen and the charcoal BBQ is fantastic. We'll surely come back with friends.

Speaking as a non-lover of Turkish food, I was blown away by this restaurant. The food was fantastic, staff were friendly, and I was hit by the charcoal smoke from the grill as soon as I walked through the door. No complaints whatsoever... apart from maybe being too full to leave the venue!

Overall, good food and service, but I dislike the fact a 10% surchrge is added on top of the already pricey food without a choice given, so for that reason we won't go often.

Food and service both amazing, welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Love being able to see your food being cooked, all fresh ingredients and made from scratch.

Visited again with friends the food and drinks were excellent as were the service could not fault the food once again it was piping hot and good portions.once ordered the food and drink arrived in a few minutes.

We ordered a platter to take away. Not one issue with the quality of the food. It tasted superb, especially the lamb ribs, very tasty. If you like grilled meat, then put this restaurant at the top of your list.

All 5 stars from us, had our visit on Saturday night...not the cheapest( dont take it as offence)..but honestly the food was delicious, very sociable hosts and a friendly atmosphere! Definitely, will see you again...thank you

Table for 6 on a Friday night. Every other table was full. Great efficient service and the food couldn't have been better. Superb salad with pomegranate seeds. Very good price too. A beer and a dinner for £30. Can't fault it and will be back.

We recently had a takeaway from Vadi for a party. The amount of food you receive is very generous and reasonably priced. Everyone enjoyed the food, which came with a selection of salads and dips, with the meat. Would be happy to order from Vadi again for the next party.

An absolute hidden gem in the heart of St Ives. Second visit now, food = amazing, service = amazing. atmosphere = [you guess] but it begins with an a... can't fault this place, photos will give you more of a feel. Visited September 2024 again and still EXCELLENT. Consistently excellent every time.

We had an amazing dinner for my wife's 50th birthday together with 14 family and friends. Staff were welcoming, courteous and extremely attentive, nothing was too much trouble! The food was superb and plentiful. I knew what to expect from a previous visit but many of our guests did not. All commented on the wonderful food and staff, all saying they would definitely return. Many thanks for helping to create such an amazing memory for us all!!

I've visited this restaurant three or four times already and every time it's the same experience: 1) We get served quickly. 2) The food is absolutely fantastic. 3) The portions are so generous we end up taking food home with us. My wife and I have tried different dishes every time and we've always been pleasantly surprised with how tasty the food is. Can't recommend this place enough, we'll be coming back!

Wonderful everything ! Venue, food, staff, atmosphere, value, friendliness. I came to visit my father and take him for dinner, my father (bless him) is known as Victor Meldrew and is never blown away by anywhere until now.....The food is amazing and the staff are all wonderful. You will not be disappointed.

Best Turkish I have ever eaten. The staff were super friendly and attentive and were so welcoming. The food was so great that even though we were only in st Ives for four nights we ended getting takeaway from this restaurant on our last day. Only bad thing was knowing we are going back to Australia and won’t get to eat this delicious food again!

This is by far the best turkish restaurant I have tried in the UK so far. Service from the staff was outstanding. They were extremely attentive.Bora was care of all our needs with a smile along with the other staff members too. Food was mouth-wateringly delicious.My friends and I had a great night out. This was my first visit and I am definitely coming back. I recommend everyone to come and try this place You won’t regret.The atmosphere was friendly and the restaurant in general was clean and made us feel like home. Thank you Bora

Amazingly delicious food with friendly staff at great prices.

As I am vegan we decided to have lunch here & I'm so pleased we chose Vadi. Everything, & I mean everything about this restaurant is excellent. Food quality is superb. Fresh, aromatic, executed perfectly. As a vegan I eat a lot of falafels & I can honestly say these are by far the most delicious I have ever tried...and I have certainly eaten a ton in my lifetime! My husband had salmon & couldn't believe how succulent & well flavoured it was. The place was spotless. The waiter was charming, friendly & so efficient & the ambience excellent. Will definitely revisit next time we are in the area. What a gem!

The food was really delicious and great value for money. The staff were also very friendly. The sound does travel through the restaurant so it was quite loud given how busy it was! But overall lovely place.

The ambience is good, this was my 2nd visit and the same experience, chicken kebabs were salty, not a convincing explanation, staff are very cold, lamb meat was cooked well, don't think I will visit it again

Authentic Turkish food served in a warm atmosphere by welcoming staff. We greatly enjoyed the quality of the food and the generous proportions. We ate kebab, lamb and moussaka dishes, all of which were delicious and came with sides and salad. The moussaka with aubergines and plentiful ground meat was outstanding. The Turkish beer in stubby bottles was good too. We finished the meal with baklava and Turkish coffee served in delightful silver cups. Will definitely go again.

Amazing! Went here with my girlfriend for her birthday. Food, atmosphere and service was spot on. Great complimentary starters of bread with delicious dips. Had the lamb and chicken shish kebabs for main... so tasty and cooked to perfection. Finished off with baklava for dessert... sweet!! Great wine on top of this... Just a perfect night!

This is a great Restaurant I highly recommend it the food is Devine and the staff are friendly and they must have good management as the staff turn around is none existent. I’ve visit 4 plus times it’s noisy but that’s not to do with the restaurant. But this also depends on when you go in the week.

Fabulous. The most beautiful meal...authentic and delicious. We have had a home in Turkey for 18 years...and this is the most authentic restaurant we have found in the UK. Very good evening here. The food was very tasty and service very prompt and helpful. The pan fried prawns and filo pastry starters were very good. I had the Imam Bayaldi a roasted aubergine which was delicious. My friends enjoyed the moussaka and the sea bream. I would definitely visit again and the restaurant was busy and clearly very popular.

We have had food from here many times now and it is always delicious and plentiful. One of our favourite places to eat in the area. Just wish they did online ordering and maybe a small discount for takeaway and collection? Every time we go the restaurant is packed!

I have eaten here many times before and the food on this visit was excellent as always. We were with another 6 friends for a catch up and my wife’s birthday. One of my friends is in a wheelchair thank you to the two gentlemen from the Valdi Kitchen that helped him in and out of the door. Starters came quickly once ordered plates were cleared away then very quickly the main course arrived. Others have mentioned being rushed but I had never experienced this until this visit. We were rushed and this did definitely spoil our night out. Having booked our table for 8pm we were out by 1015, the opening hours state they close at 11pm. So we might visit again but it will be earlier so we can leave when we want to.

After visiting Norris museum we visited vadi kitchen for lunch we couldn’t believe quality of food was so nice and the prices was very reasonable compared to other restaurants and very good service

What an excellent experience, the service and food couldn t be bettered. My wife and I came here for an evening meal and were more than impressed with what we had. Thw lamb Kofte is standout exceptional. We will be back as soon as we get the chance, price was fair too for the quality and quantity on offer.

Food is amazing... kebabs, liver, calamari was brilliant. Lamb guvec cannot be missed. If you come here please try. Quantity is massive... don't go for starter and main, if you do you will be taking stuff home.

This is my second delicious lunch at Vadi. Both times I would have been with a friend, however the second I came alone as my friend had a fall. It’s rare that I eat alone but the welcome made it friendly and easy. The food is consistently scrumptious. I’ll definitely be going back.

Well, we have returned and it was as busy as last time. We enjoyed it all but the prices are a tad on the high side, and then there is a little addition of a service charge, ouch! I don't think it represents as good value as previous visits. Will we return, possibly.
