Great service from the team at Los Reyes! We hadn’t booked on a busy Saturday night and they managed to squeeze us in, all four of us, yes without any hassle at all even allowed to stay past the time allocated for the next table! Food was excellent, the chorizo was awesome. Atmosphere awesome too, highly recommend! Thanks to the lassie from Dundee and her team! Sorry no photos… 🙂

We have mixed feelings about this visit - perhaps we ordered much of the wrong food. Almost everything we had seemed to be accompanied with toast or bread. What was odd, was the staff didn't tell us, especially when we ordered the bread to open the meal. What we did have was delicious apart from the potato bravas, which were so salty, they were inedible. The team did take them away, and remove from our bill. Service of food from the kitchen was so fast that we hardly had any room on our table of 2. Kitchen please slow down, it made us feel as you wanted us out of there quickly. Nice food, but not as good as a year ago. Staff were excellent and explained dishes well, but need to point out to customers if they are over ordering in the carb department - the menu isn't that clear in it's descriptions. Seemed pricey for what we had and from it used to be but I suppose that's the restaurant passing on their increased operating costs.

The bill ended up being £84 for 3 dishes and 3 drinks! The food was ok but staggeringly overpriced. 2 skewers with 2 small prawns and 2 tiny cubes of chorizo were £12!. Patatas bravas(literally one small potato cubed) £8.50. We only ordered 3 dishes and they forgot one of them!

The food is good. The service is slow. Atmosphere, normal. Expensive

Went for dinner at 18.30, and ordered 5 small tapas and some drinks. Very slow service, and eventually got the bill at 20.30: ridiculous for a tapas bar. Then they had the cheek to evict us from the table for the next sitting. Greed and inefficiency trumps customer service here. Shame really, as been there many times, and previously good.

Love this place. The menu is great, it's changed often and you can tell the place really cares about food. Also good for gluten free. Charming waiting staff too.

We came here following a recommendation and it did not disappoint. From the minute we walked in the service team were incredibly friendly. Alice was our waitress for the evening and she was very helpful and friendly throughout. The food was high quality, delicious and well-presented. The wine was good too! My wife is vegetarian and she had plenty of choice. Ideal for sharing!

First time and it was the best Tapas we have had in the UK. Food choice very good and not too many. Service was excellent and description of menu was perfect. Seating ok but could improve chairs, slightly wobbly and base of our table made it a little awkward. Nothing above would stop us coming back. Looking forward to it already.

Are here at Christmas with family. We all really enjoyed the e food and wine.

Went here for lunch on my birthday. Very enjoyable a great place and the host was great. Would recommend and will definetly be returning if I am ever in the area again.

Very nice place and food and staff and ambiance is great. The nice thing is there is not to much on the menu so you which some tapas restaurants have which makes it hard to choose. The whole menu is very good, although a tad on the more expensive side compared to others, but this is relegated in the choice and freshly cooked dishes.

Had a beautiful outside sunny evening dinner last night with friends. Authentic tapas dishes spread over hours which suited us as two couples. Not too spicy but with just enough flavour. We felt transported to Spain in the thoughtfully designed courtyard which had subtle lighting as it got dark. The service was attentive, without being over-bearing and informative - a rare thing! It’s not cheap but for us the food, atmosphere and service was worth it.

I don’t know how anyone can give less than a 5? It’s first class “London” standard food with amazing hospitality from Rosie and the team. It’s hard not to order everything they recommend! The croquettes are amazing! The pork flank is salty and crisps and juicy! The outdoor space is a sun trap, I feel like I’m in Ibiza I love the place! See you soon!!!

Great buzzy atmosphere on a Saturday evening. The asparagus with cheese sauce was the standout dish for us.

My partner & I went here for an impromptu dinner. We hadn’t booked, so we resigned ourself to sitting by the toilets in the back room. We explained that we are Plant-Based. The servers were very encouraging & pleasant so we were lulled into thinking Plant-based was an option here. We were offered a few OVER-salty starters - salty olives, salty potatoes, salty mini peppers, salty mushrooms, bread. That’s about it. We couldn’t eat our ridiculously salty morsels, so we asked for the bill. It was *EXTORTIONATE!* #rippedoff! When the server asked, “are you going anywhere now?” - my partner replied “we’ll be trying to find something to eat”. They didn’t apologise, the polite servers are like smiling robots, they don’t actually empathise or care. Would definitely not recommend.

Found this restaurant when googling a place for date night. The staff were quite friendly and informative. It was up my partner's Street with delicious tapas. I enjoyed the mushrooms out of all the dishes we ordered. It feels a bit crowded but it have a good atmosphere.

Reserved a table on Saturday night was greeted by jasmine and taken to our lovely window table .we started with cava then onto tapas manchego with almonds then jamon iberico tomato salad croquettas garlic prawns patatas bravas ,lamb rump,then a glass of godello .blanco and a glass of el brindis .jasmine was superb as was the food and atmosphere. Yes the food is a bit pricey but it's very good and tasty will go for a special treat .thankyou los reyes great evening.

A quality restaurant with lovely food. Good selection of beers and wines too. When busy the staff are rushed and things can take time but hey this isn't fast food. 5 of us shared a wide range of dishes and they were all delicious. Will come back.

A group of 4 of us came here to celebrate a special occasion (the staff gave us a complementary glass of cava on arrival which was a nice touch!) Great ambience; it was buzzing but not so loud that we couldn’t hear each other speak. Menu very varied and interesting, offering much more than just the gambas al ajillo and patatas bravas that you’ll find in all tapas restaurants. We ordered the house smoked almonds, padron peppers, chorizo pate with crostini, anchovies in vinegar, croquettes, spiced white crab, pork flank steak, lamb shoulder and sea bass. Everything tasted incredible and we enjoyed the steady flow of dishes out of the kitchen. The only real drawback of this place is the cost… ideally you need to order 3 dishes per person and it quickly adds up. But then, food and service was very good so I would say the price is worth it.

Lovely place, out for a birthday, we were given a private room upstairs which was great. Place was clean and lots of space. Sadly the food was extortionately priced for what you get. Not much on the vegetarian menu. I had garlic mushrooms on a small slice of bread, about the size of a woman's palm, think that cost between £9 -£12, and one guest suggested the potato croquettes, she later apologised, they were disgusting, the inside was like pureed baby food, i wasn't expecting that, they were then breadcrumbed, a portion of 5 was also £10-14 Not sure of exact prices but approx £20 for portion of mushrooms, small slice of bread and a few croquettes. 1 scoop of ice cream was £5. If you're hungry, don't go there, if you're vegan, vegetarian, don't go there, if you're on a budget, don't go there. However, if you have a teeny appetite and happy to order loads of stuff to share on the table, it could be nice to share the bits. If you like the privacy for your own group, go for it, if you care for good service, no complaints. They do add service charge which worked out over £30 I won't be going again, sadly none of the group will be. 👎

As others have said, this is ridiculously expensive. And the food is only average. Having been to real Spain (not the Costas) a number of times, it does grate with me that for average food ( and a limited menu) we have to pay so much. One of my tapas was a tomato salad with anchovies (+£2.50) the anchovies were very poor brown,( I suspect tinned) not fresh white anchovies. I certainly wouldn't go back . Unless someone else was paying.

Went on Friday for the first time in about 6 months and it was next level. The same lovely service, wine and cocktails. And the food was even better than last time we went. I don’t understand the negative reviews - I’m assuming those people don’t understand tapas and the dishes are generously sized for tapas. Lovely dinner - back soon

Food wasn’t great, over priced for what it was. Could have made a nicer meal at home. Could see our potatoes sat on the side for 10mins before serving to us. Waitress staff were friendly and nice. Made a nice gin!

Had to eat somewhere afterwards after having spent £100 for two people. Was informed by the waitress that we needed 2-3 dishes per person as the portion sizea were very large, so we ordered 5. Food tasted ok but the portion sizes were for a 6 year old who refuses to eat. Actually, went to another fast food place afterwards as was so hungry. Neither myself or my wife are fat, but cannot believe the hype as the sizes are beyond small. Please avoid at all cost literally.

Well, what can I say? The best food I have had in ages. The best bar service I have ever had (Danielle was super attentive and smiley). The best waitress I have ever had, I have eaten out a lot so this is a biggy! (Jasmin had an incredible knowledge on the food, beyond waitress I have experience. She was very attentive, incredibly welcoming). Overall - I’m coming back!

I booked online - very easy - got an email 2 days before asking me to confirm the reservation - great! Arrived & we were warmly greeted by Danielle on front of house - had a drink at the bar then were shown to our table. Our waitress Jasmine was fabulous! All specials recited by memory - very knowledgeable on each dish. Food arrived as it’s cooked - as explained - and was delicious! Jasmine also introduced us to Licor 43 shots which are the yummiest shots I’ve ever had!! Overall we had a totally wonderful evening & wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Los Reyes!!

Sitting near the bar , extremely noisy and open to all staff traffic, very poor service couldn't get more drinks. Food was dumped on table, waitresses couldn't get away quick enough. Ordered bread three times as a whole crab dish not cheap was on a single microfilm slither of bruschetta. I eat in many restaurants, many upmarket. This is a very expensive restaurant at London prices without the service or quality one would expect. Maybe they ran out of bruschetta, as all our dishes ordered were served in same way. Only had one drink as no one wanted to serve us.?? ?? some sort of ism.

Last time we came we had an amazing experience. However, this time it was disappointing slightly. We got croquetas first and then we waited 50min for rest of the dishes to arrive. And the food was hit and miss. Lamb shoulder was great, jamon croquetas were great, King prawns baked in salt crust were interesting, cauliflower cheese as a special was nice but not amazing and it is not a spanish dish. The tortilla the patatas was dry and tasteless and that in a Spanish tapas bar is inexcusable. In fact never eaten a tortilla de patatas so bad in a restaurant. All in all, not sure we will rush back very soon.

Absolutely gob smacked by the lady that answered the phone when I wanted to make a reservation for a large group of friends. I'd called earlier in the day and was told, by the man that answered, that someone would call me in a couple of hours as they were busy. No-one called, so I called again that evening and a very moody lady answered. I explained I'd tried calling earlier to make a reservation and had been told I'd be called back in a couple of hours but no-one had called. I received a very shirty response saying she was too busy to return calls and, anyway, it takes 2 days to return calls. I explained I wasn't complaining, I just wanted to book a table, so there was no need to speak in that tone of voice - and the response was to "look elsewhere" as my "custom wasn't welcome there," then she hung up! To way I was shocked is an understatement! I've since looked at the reviews on TripAdvisor and it looks like my friends and I have had a lucky escape, as it sounds like the service in the restaurant isn't much better!

Went here a week ago as a party of six. The tapas food was excellent, as was the service. They were very accomodating in respect of one of our party being a coeliac. It is a bit pricey but still deserves a 5 star rating.

Went there last weekend and the food was amazing. Everything was lovely and fresh and, I understand, locally sourced wherever possible. The service was excellent and everyone was super friendly. What a fabulous way to while away the afternoon!

Fantastic evening sitting outside with friends. All the dishes we ordered were fresh and well balanced. The service was wonderful and a big thank you goes to Amber and Danielle who looked after the four of us so well.

Have eaten here many times and it has always been consistently very good. Wild mushroom bruschetta and the pork flank steak are always 2 of our 5 or 6 tapas, absolutely lovely. Good wine selection too. Probably one of the more expensive restaurants in the area but more than worth it in my opinion.

Despite the fact that the menu didn't specify, everything ordered was quite spicy, making it almost impossible to taste anything as all one can taste is the same burning sensation... the waitress didn't mention that dishes are quite spicy and perhaps not very suitable for a child, even though there was a 5 years old with us. The prices were quite high for what was served ( 2x chicken skewers, or 4 meatballs with nothing else on the plate for £14 each) . So for the three of us, the bill was over £75 and we left hungry. Unfortunately, cannot recommend and would not come back. back.

The outdoor seating and lovely service made for a great experience overall. The food was tasty but the pricing of some mains felt unjustified (e.g 3 prawns for £14.) I’d be back more often if the prices were more competitive for the area ☺️ The mushrooms and jamon de bolota were particularly delicious. They are excellent for gluten free food and when I asked, they don’t use alcohol in their starters or mains 👍

Best service and quality authentic Spanish food

Had a lovely evening here, food was good, service is fantastic! Only downside is that it's quite expensive, not really pricey, but not cheap either. Well worth a visit though, but book well in advance ☺️

Amazing service. Been here a few times and we are never disappointed. Huge shout out in particular to Ash, who was the best waitress we could have wished for when we celebrated a friend’s hen do in one of the private rooms - she went the extra mile for us and made the night even more memorable. Love the house sangria and the lovely new courtyard is yet another reason to visit!

I booked Los Reyes for private party unfortunately due some of the parties financial constraints I had to cancel 3 weeks before the event. I had paid £160 deposit so was extremely worried that I wouldn’t get my deposit back. I can’t speak highly enough...

Fantastic tapas and wonderful service. Our choices included the mussels ( specials) , the king prawns and the chorizo all of which were amazing. We just about got the number of dishes right ( they were very filling !) Great atmosphere and as I say...

The food was very tasty, but I am still raging a week later about how we paid £14 for three prawns! We got six dishes and a jug of sangria, for £110. The food was delicious, but not worth the price.

For an almost full restuarant, food arrived in good time. We found the wine list limited, service very good. The food arrived hot and well presented, (apart from the bread which had dried out), we liked all the dishes and found them very tasty, all...

This is a great restaurant - attentive service, good atmosphere and everything necessary like that. But the food was outstanding - come for the food. Every dish was executed with care - looked great and tasted wonderful Except the bellota - don’t order it. It was machine carved off one of those ghastly square formed pieces of ham. In a place of this standard, they should do it properly. Yes it had a little of that distinctive bellota flavour but I wouldn’t have paid £12 if I’d known. I haven’t reduced my rating because of the ham. Now I know I just wouldn’t order it again. Otherwise, it was a fabulous evening in every respect

This is a brilliant restaurant. The service was impeccable and friendly, the food was probably the best tapas we had eaten outside Spain, if not the best, and the wine and beers were good too. Highly recommend.

Best tapas I have had outside of Spain. Like to think of myself as a bit of a connoisseur having spent many months in Spain, but this place genuinely blows me away every time. Could not recommend more highly and as an added bonus the staff are lovely too.

Recommended by a friend, and she was absolutely right! Attentive, very natural service and each dish was of great quality. I only took one pic as we were enjoying it so much. We probably slightly over over ordered but took some away. Highly recommend ordering the chorizo pate which was definitely the highlight from an all-star selection of tapas.

Yes this is a good restaurant, no doubt about it, but it’s also really overpriced. Cava £40 a bottle. Manchego - 4 thin slices with a few nuts for £9. Pan Catalan - one slice £6. The service is great and it’s clearly very popular...

Average food, London prices! Been here a few times but recently noticed the prices have shot up massively. £18 for a small tapas dish! You could go to London and get a cheaper/nicer meal including your travel cost. Won’t be going back unfortunately.

Welcome back Guys. Just enjoyed 5th birthday set menu and it was excellent. The wine pairings added to the experience. A great way to celebrate going back out after lock down. Been a while but back to celebrate hubby's birthday Nd very pleased to say still the same amazing food and excellent service. Everyone should definitely give this place a try and on a Weds they now do a set menu for 19 pp which includes a glass of wine.

Food is delicious but I’m afraid as per other reviewers this place is too expensive. £18 for a small tapas dish is too much. The tomato salad coming in at £10 is just a small plate of chopped dressed tomatoes. Should be more like £6. As per other reviewers I’d also recommend Bar Azita for tapas.

Always a friendly reception and decent food. Menu is updated fairly frequently. Nice atmosphere. Fairly pricey, but you get what you pay for. (Update Feb 2023 - I've dropped my rating from 5->4 stars as I think their latest round of price hikes mean they're now veering into 'ridiculously expensive' territory). Staff still friendly and food still tasty, though.

I understand it's tapas but portion sizes are ridiculous for the prices. Not many healthy/vegetable options so I ordered the tomato salad to go with my lentil stuffed peppers (which were lovely but could have done with more for the price), unfortunately myself and my friend couldn't eat it as there was far too much vinaigrette. We asked to exchange it for potatoes and the waiter was amazing and did this for us without hesitation (she also let us know soon after that the chef agreed there was too much dressing on the salad so we were glad it wasn't just us being fussy). My friend ordered 8 prawns for £18 which she said tasted nice but sadly wasn't worth the amount she paid as most of it was shell. Service was great.. staff were very attentive, welcoming, approachable and had great knowledge of the menu. I'm happy to pay fine dining prices for food but felt the prices here were crazy considering the sizes of portions. I've never experienced such high prices for a tapas menu tapas and no option for a full meal before and for this reason I wouldn't return in the future. If you're looking for Tapas in Hitchin, I'd recommend Bar Azita.

First visit and what a great place. We were greeted as we arrived, drinks quickly served, menu explained and recommendations provided. Each dish was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. Perfect timing for service so the whole experience flowed wonderfully. We will be returning with family...
