Really warm welcome, amazing food (been several times....pizza is fabulous) and good choice of soft drinks. One of our favourite places in our home town.

Surprisingly, I've already given Niche a glowing five-star review in the past (because let's face it, they're just that good)... but apparently, that wasn't enough to satisfy the masses? So here I am, back at it again with another review. Let's talk stars - they're well-deserved, considering the line of people they have to turn away !! ðŸ¤ðŸ˜² Yes, it's always bustling, and yes, you'd be wise to make a reservation (if you can manage it). I mean, even weans have smartphones these days, so there's really no excuse not to call ahead and secure a table. It's just a quick phone call, people. Now, onto the food... honestly, I haven't found a single thing to gripe about yet. OK, there might be a bit of a wait, but that's because everything is made fresh (and you can even peek into the kitchen to watch the culinary magic happen). Despite its cozy size, Niche exudes an intimate vibe, even when it's packed to the brim. The staff? Top-notch - friendly, helpful, and just an all-around delight. So, what more can I say? The food is scrumptious, the venue is top-notch, and the staff are absolute gems. I dropped past for breakfast ( had the Mighty Niche ) ... delish' as always. Catch you there, then? 😉 . . About the pictures .... I'm always too busy eating, but I've got a couple of snaps I took while waiting for my coffee.

We booked 2 nights at the Campanile to attend an event at the SEC and have a special birthday few drinkies along the way. Hotel tired, basic and clean. Not too bad for the money and location. The restaurant however, could do with a happier and more customer focussed team. Not once did we see a smile, hear a greeting (apart from the girl at breakfast), feel any form of enthusiasm or even genuine apologetic gestures from any staff at all. It's the Boyzone weekend and yes, we are not idiots, we have worked in hospitality, bars and restaurants for many years so, do actually know what we are talking about, we get that it's busy and people need served and bookings need to be made but not once did anyone ask if we would like to make a reservation for a table to have some dinner (still hungry) for later on. All the guy said was, if you haven't reserved a table, "it's gonna be at least after 8 when you get anything to eat". No offer to take a note of our names for a table or a suggestion to maybe have a drink in the bar until a table is available or even a "sorry" for not being able to accommodate us. The 3 guys on duty look so fed up, unhappy and run off their feet it is almost embarrassing. Surely to goodness, a busy hotel constitutes a busy bar and restaurant. My words of advice would be to keep morale high, motivate and recruit people who are actually happy to work!!!! Very unimpressed. 😡👎

Visited at lunch time. Greeted by friendly staff who seated us very quickly. Drinks order taken and menu provided. Drinks arrived quickly and order taken. Table and cutlery very clean. Nicely decorated bright environment. Food arrived…what can I say ..beautifully presented, and delicious. I had teriyaki beef stir fry, my other half steak pie. We then moved on to dessert, again delicious. I have to say the staff checked regularly that our food was ok and that we didn’t need anything. Will definitely be back. I am advised that the pint of heavy was top class, sadly I was driving so no alcohol for me.
