Only went in to meet someone and have a couple of drinks it was quiet mid afternoon was pleasant I believe it gets busy at night but for a nice quiet drink in company I would recommend

As a woman her self just having a night out this is not the place to be you will be asked to leave and made to feel like you don’t belong here

We came here for the first time this evening and was surprised by the quality of the food and service.The food was spoke volumes for itself and I must admit the steak was way above average . The service was pleasant and overall we will be back for more in the near future ....Well done to the Clubhouse Team .!!!!!!!!!

Recently came with my family after hearing many reviews my wife and my two children.. we experience horrible customer service the staff was pickity and believe the owner was very intrusive with his eyes and kept looking at my daughter who’s 14 we all felt uncomfortable as he was physically a bigger guy. He was constantly looking and went in the office screaming on his phone about money .. it doesn’t take a genius let’s be honest I’m not one to judge a book but me and my family Will never return to this horrible establishment.. food was terrible no passion behind it as a chef it’s terrible don’t know how I t’s still on its feet probably because of the money he’s screaming for on the phone off poor Gregyours sincerely the Munro family

Had lunch here this afternoon and the food was amazing I had a 12oz rump steak and it’s by far the best steak I have ever tasted would highly recommend

I just came for drinks on a Friday evening, many years since I had been and was curious as to this places evolution.Nicole was on duty and was friendly, efficient and busy as she was the only member of bar staff, seemed odd on a Friday evening but I believe Saturday night is a lot busier, usually a dj gets things going but was not there when I left, around 8.30 pm.I feel this should be the premier pre-club venue in Irvine, maybe is but can’t help feeling there is more to come, nicely furnished, if a little too bright and airy for my tastes, cool cafe-bars have become the norm in British towns in the last 30 years, it all started with DRY201 on Oldham Street in Manchester. I can’t help feeling this place is placed between pub/restaurant and hip cafe/bar. It’s a nice place, clean and some imaginative drinks on offer, but considering Irvine has only one real nightclub which just round the corner (admittedly with a separate bar attached I believe) perhaps more could be done to synchronise the two places to have dual venues in the town that are worth visiting for a proper night out.Irvine a destination to travel to for pre club drinks, and quality dance music, it’s possible! Cities don’t always have the best clubs, remember Wigan, Dewsbury, Huddersfield and other towns in the North pulled people in from all over the North of England. We used to meet groups from Newcastle at the KU club in Huddersfield for example.Bit of a push, I think Irvine get get them in, IF the will is there.Thanks to Nicole who gets a five star customer service rating and I will visit The Clubhouse again. Come!

We came here for the simple reason that it was closest to our accommodation and I am still trying to work out what this place is trying to be. It presents itself as a restaurant/pub, but the pounding music makes it an unlikely choice for a meal and the glaring lighting makes the place feel more like a waiting room than a place for a drink. It was an almost surreal experience where the barmaid struggled with an order of a pint and one gin and tonic, had to confirm the order several times, made four attempts at pouring a pint before succeeding and struggled with the word "Carling". She excused her performance with having been on shift since 3 o'clock. It wasn't even 9, and there were 5 other customers in the place, all of whom seemed to be friends who took turns at the music desk and wandering behind the bar to charge phones. It felt more like we'd accidentally walked into shared student accommodation than a licensed venue. We were back in Irvine a few days later. We took a taxi straight past this place to a place more to our liking. I would not revisit.

Good beer good menu. Friendly staff.

My friend and I were really looking forward to trying the Cajun chicken crepes here we ordered them and the waitress came back and said they didn’t have any batter to make the crepesso they obviously buy the batter instead of making itgot the Cajun chicken pasta instead it was swimming in oil and the salad looked like it was weeks old won’t be back!

It was a fabulous place, herd it changed hands after we went there and noticed a change in the staff moral and the standard of food had dropped... Such a shame I loved it there 😞

Food average. Service terrible. Full of young people showing no attention to detail. I heard one of the waitresses get into a conversation with another customer swearing,I had to take my son to the toilet to avoid him hearing this. Roughest restaurant/pub in Irvine. Won’t be back.

Food was nothing special, waited about half an hour for it to arrive and there were only one other customer in, so no we won't be back here again

We were the only people in for food, but was worth it to stay, because the food was excellent. We opted for the two course lunch and it was great. Portions were plentiful, I opted for chicken tempura to start, and chilli chicken noodles and could hardly finish them. My only negative was they didn't have the wine we were after but that apart, the visit well worth it. Please keep up the good work chef, and we will definetly return.

Not very clean place but staff are lovely

After visiting this 'restaurant' yesterday with my daughter,niece and her 10 month old son I can guarantee that this place is the worst I have ever attempted to eat from. The Philly cheese stake baguette came as beef slices on a hotdog bun, no side salad or chips but with a price tag of £8! When we enquired about the quality and price with the young waitress, she replied 'well I don't make the prices'. We returned the shocking attempt of food and asked for it to be removed from the bill. A few moments later, the 6ft+, heavy build 'manager' shouted from behind the bar 'whats the issue with your lunch, once he approached the table we explained the above and he argued till he was blue in the face that we were wrong. After the terrible customer service and quality of food we had been served i went to the bar to pay for the round of drink we had ordered but since we hadn't eaten any food before being shouted at and called liars from the huge man at our table, we wouldn't be paying for the food. This quickly escalated to the same man stating that we WILL be paying for our food then walking towards myself with his arms wide open shouting abuse and intimidating me .After felling extremely threatened and scared for our well being, we left as soon as we could.I now have had the police at my door accusing us of theft! but to be honest i would not recomend this place ive worked in the catering industry for years and thats no way to treat customers

£4.99 lunch! Where else can you get this from? The food was fresh and tasty. The other menu is more extensive but at a fiver what do you expect. I liked it and the staff were polite and friendly throughout and made our visit easy.

Very nice food, Friendly cheery staff. I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice meal away from fast paced lifestyles, This place offers nice and relaxed decor leaving you with the feel that you are in no hurry, you can enjoy a nice meal here.

Visited on a work celebratory night out for dinner and a few drinks.

Went to see a show and have a meal here a few weeks ago. The show could've been good, but some of the people that frequent this place totally spoiled it by shouting, swearing add just being plain ignorant to the act. Having said that, the food was ok and the price was good. I am no prude, but the behaviour that night wasn't funny, and I felt totally embarrassed. The crudity wasn't restricted to the customers either, the owner/manager was less than professional in his language too.

Food used to be amazing. Menu was simple but very good. New owners have let their standards slip massively. New menu/menus aren't good. Tempura was extremely greasy. Waiter/owner dressed in trainers and jeans. It's turned into a greasy spoon. Such a shame as it could be a goldmine with the correct management

Always a good place to meet with friends, good range of drinks at reasonable prices, food is generally quite good. Also, the place was recently renovated so it's much nicer, it was nice previously but it's nicer now.

Visited our much loved restaurant only to find something not quite right.... The food was not as good, the once amazing lemon meringue pie was disgusting, now the staff did pick up on this and not charge me, but the rest of the meal was...

Went with friends for a meal before going on to a darts show, cant fault the place, staff were obliging and friendly with nothing being a bother to them. We went back for drinks later and the place was rockin........defo be back.

Was here with the family and it was not great. The starter I got was nachos with chili & cheese which I must admit I was enjoying until I found a bit of plastic in it then it put me off. fair do' it was probably a bit of the packaging and the did not charge me for the starter but it put me off all the same. with the main course I had sweet & sour noodles which were bland and one of the party is a chef and he felt the same - almost as if the flavour had not been added. all in all a meh meal - my wife enjoyed the food though and said the black pudding & haggis tempura was delicious.

I'm currently working in Irvine and I've eaten at the Club House every night. The food is out of this world, every time it's perfect. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Went here upon recommendation after hearing the menu had changed. Amazing value for money, many choices and great food! Pleasantly surprised. Chicken Fajitas are fab! Was that good I came back a week later and will certainly be back!

Went in here for a quick bite to eat. Decor is amazing! Staff were relaxed and very chatty. Very child friendly also. 2 course menu is great! Loads to choose from. Chicken tempura is very tasty! Plus I got money off my bill which was a bonus! Will definetly be back!

Have ate in here lots of times before but hadn't been in about a year. Was looking forward to my usual order but menu had all changed. Went for the chicken schnitzel & it was amazing, glad we never got starters as was a big portion. Got money off our bill too as it was their birthday which was even better. Will be back soon.

Yet again we had a great meal in the Clubhouse, We only had main courses and both enjoyed our meals. Portion sizes were excellent and liked the proper homemade chips.Good value and service with a smile.Only complaint is that the chilli beef salad is no longer on the menu :)With limited places for bar food in Irvine this is one of the best

A nice pub, friendly staff. We were there only for a few drinks and also tasted their nachos. We were served quickly and with a smile.

Played golf at Irvine golf club for four days. We had breakfast each day and also lunch. Snack Menu was varied and cost was very reasonable. Service was fantastic and prompt. Staff very friendly and could not have helped anymore.

The caption above the bar as you enter is Great Drink, Great Food, Great Service, well the caption is an understatement as everything was excellent, we were well attended to as soon as we came in the door. The ladies attending to us were very friendly and efficient and more than happy to give us more information about the food on offer which was varied and tempting. The food we did settle for was delicious, hot and beautifully presented and served by a very happy, friendly lady. We will definitely return.

We had a few hours to wait to get our ferry home so at 18.30hrs on a Sat night wondered where we could eat in the surrounding area, trip advisor to the rescue.A phone call and we were booked.The menu was a pleasant surprise, and we were spoilt for choice.Scallops beautifully cooked. Lamb Tagine with Apricot Cous cous, Chicken Ballotine both served with roasted veg. No dessert...we were stuffed!Very tasty, well presented. Prompt service by friendly staff, and very reasonable.This place hides its light under a bushel.

OMG. ......finally found the ULITMATE eating place. On Saturday 27th August we went their on our 28th wedding anniversary with our 2 girls. It had been recommended by a friend so we booked and turned up.Now this place is located on the Cross in Irvine...white fronted place and when you walk in it looks just like a pub. ..BUT look to your right and you have a a pleasant surprise. The tables are comfortably apart with shabby chic boarder line nautical theme. The atmosphere was welcoming, the staff polite...helpful and attentive.The food....well what can I say....BLOODY AMAZING. ..from starter to main to dessert to hot chocolate. .coffee and beer...gob smackingly good.DO NOT PASS THIS PLACE UP!!Whether it's a lunch or evening meal you will not be disappointed.

been here twice lunch/dinner first time staying at braidwoodsb and b owner recommended the clubhouse as we were going to cinema in kilmarnock as not one in irvine food is very highly recommended great value good selection good size portions if you have a good appetite very clean and comfortable surroundings staff very friendly and efficent

ended up in Irvine after a day out and was looking for somewhere to eat. after finding a car park we noticed that right across the road was The Clubhouse Bar, which said it served food until 8pm, and since it was 7.50pm we decided just to try it out. on entering we were surprised at how nice the interior was. we were shown to a table but told we only had a few minutes to order. We did so quickly and waited on the meal. The starters arrived .....and we were shocked at how good they look for "pub grub" very well presented and definately one of the best chicken tempura ive ever tasted!!we hoped the main courses would be just as good....and they were!!! a cajun chicken pasta with a creamy sauce that was just delicious and mushroom stroganoff that was just perfection. to round off we just had to test the desserts......decided to get two different ones chocolate fudge cake with pouring cream and caramel apple pie with ice cream. Again just deliciousCannot fault this restaurant in any way whatsoever, staff were friendly and attentive food was outstanding and the atmosphere amazing. Only thing that spoiled our visit slightly was the rowdy drunk group in booth behind us..other than that a perfect visit and will definiteley recommend it to anyone heading down there.......and we will most certainly be back next time i'm in the area.

Popped in for lunch. Hadn't been in here for ages and we were pleasantly surprised. The place had been freshened up. Loved the new bright look. Staff were friendly and efficient. Choices on the menu suited the four of us. Only one complaint. The time it took for the food to come could be improved upon I'm sure hence only a score of 4. Will probably re-visit.

Visited here with friends on Saturday afternoon what a great little place, the food was exceptionally good the service we received was wonderful to say the place very busy.would highly recommend and will definitely be back the next time I'm in the area.

The clubhouse is my absolute favourite place to go in town, go here frequently with family, friends and my partner. Service is always great, served promptly on arrival, friendly staff, glasses are always kept full. Never kept waiting long at all , (even at busy times) and always pleasantly surprised when food is received as it always tastes great. Cannot fault this establishment. Will definitely be back!

We've been dining at the clubhouse for years. Went last night for my husbands birthday albeit there was 11 off us but since there was only another 4 or 5 people there it could have been a lot better. Starters came after about 20 minutes main courses took an hour after asking twice what the hold up was they miraculously appeared minus one. We waited another half hour nothing so cancelled the missing meal. No apologies at all but could see kitchen staff sitting in the office laughing and joking. As I say very very disappointing.

Always love coming to the Clubhouse, I've never had a bad meal in all the time I've been going there, would totally recommend it to anyone visiting irvine

Food very good staff really efficient but took far to long to get served was not even half full and waited over 1 hour to get our meal which was beautiful .

One of the few places left in the town centre that serves decent reasonably priced food, we go either as a couple or with our grandchildren, the service is always fairly slick the menu is OK but the Chefs Special's board is always worth a look.

Hadn't been in the clubhouse for a while so was really looking forward to going! What a let down! Waited nearly 35 minutes for starters (it wasn't exactly busy either) then another 25 minutes for our mains, it took that long we didn't have time to finish our mains as we had to be somewhere else! Had the sharer starter and parts of it was lukewarm and other parts cold, I would have complained and asked for another but really didn't want to wait another 35 minutes! Main courses a bit better but again my side of fries were only lukewarm! I think the chef needs some training on timings!

I used to love come here for a meal, however hadn't been in a while. Came a few weeks ago and the service from our server and manger was terrible & food had went extremely down hill- complained about the meal as it was so bad, the burger was rock solid & my friends pasta was overlooked and the sauce looked and tasted asif it had been watered down. Yet we weren't offered to change our meals for something else on the menu or anything taken off the bill.

Nothing wrong with it if it's ur kind of thing. Jam packed though and very warm. Cheap cola so if you want coke buy a can. The food is lovely but not somewhere I would go with my little one for food

On driving through Irvine and the heavens opening we came across this place thanks to Google. Really pleased we did lunch was wonderful with really generous portions....cant believe how much food was on the plate for the kids meal and the quality of our adult meals was great...hubby recommends people try the chilli beef burger.Would definitely eat there again if in the area

Was staying at the menzies for a wedding reception and went here for tea the fajitas were lovely and my husband really enjoyed his prawn starter and pizza followed by a Nutella clazone. Food was great and price fab would definitely recommend this place and will be back. Friendly staff .

I visit Clubhouse quite regularly for dinner/lunch with friends. The food is always a good standard and good value for money. Sometimes you need to wait a while to be served depending on how busy it is and if you visit at the weekend it can be quite loud with people in for drinks but it doesn't really bother us anyway. Recommend.

Went here for dinner, ate off the 2 course £9.95 menu. Good selection & very hot fresh food! Had chicken tempura & macaroni cheese both very tasty! The service was good, no complaints.

Fed up with wetherspoons, we decided to try this place. I hadn't been for in years and was pleasantly surprised, you'd never have known that the kitchen hadn't been there forever. The staff were friendly and the beef wrap I had was fantastic value for money. We will definitely be back.

No food orders after 8. The outside is a little off putting but the inside is a different story. It is warm and inviting and the staff could not have been more attentive or helpful. The menu has plenty of choice and the portions are a good size. Would recommend a visit.

Treated the family to a meal here on New Years eve actually and what a treat, Although the place was busy our orders were taken promptly and the starters arrived in good time.With plenty to choose from we'd four different starters and four different mains, eight empty plates. Our meals looked and tasted great and were good value for money. I'd recommend one of their home made pizzas, mine was delicious.The Clubhouse itself has a lively atmosphere and friendly, chatty bar staff and the icing on the cake they offer a student discount several days a week.

We are regulars. We can't see past the Clubhouse. Great value for money, lovely food and staff. Enjoying the new 2 course menu. However it would be good to see some new choices. Look forward to our next visit.

Went to visit my boyfriends sides and he took me to this bar for a quick meal. The pasta I had was absolutely flawless so was his homemade pizza. Staff was very friendly and chatty too. Can't wait for the next time to visit this place again.

Visited the restaurant with 4 members of my family on Friday 12th December. The meals are amazing value for money i.e. buy one meal and get the other for £1 from another menu. We all ordered different meals, and we all thoroughly enjoyed them. Our waiter that evening was exceptionally polite, friendly, and informative, and is real asset to the Club House. He made our visit memorable and I will not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to a friend, and will most certainly be returning.

Left Hungry??? Some people are born to moan. We have loved The Clubhouse since. ...forever. More when they started the food. May we suggest Left Hungry tries Wetherspoons..or the local chippie.

The Clubhouse was recommended to me while i was in Irvine so i took up the recommendation. Service was OK (Nice people) but to be honest the food wasn't great. I struggled with the starter and didn't eat the main course so i left hungry (And paid in full). Disappointing.

Have been coming to the Clubhouse for lunch for some time now. The menu is varied and the food is always of a high standard. The servers are mostly very friendly. The food can sometimes be a little slow in arriving after ordering but it is always worth the wait.A definite place for lunch in Irvine.

Jst had dinner in Clubhouse once again. Both of us had Sticky Baby Back Pork Ribs & they where lovely. Been coming here for months and today we finally got to try the best selling desert - The Calzone with Nutella, marscapone & ice cream. Its was the business and well worth the wait.Our waitress Lauren,was really pleasant.

We were recommended The Clubhouse for food by a good friend but weren't sure what it would be like. We had a fabulous meal which was very reasonably priced for what we got. The staff were friendly and helpfull and there was a lovely atmosphere in there. We had eaten in SI (in Irvine) the week before but for quality of food and especially for value, the Clubhouse is far better. A hidden gem and definately worth a try.

Liked food and service and special offers through the week a main course for £1. We needed a quick lunch in and out less than 1/2 hour perfect.

Went to the Clubhouse for the first time tempted by the buy one meal get another main meal for £1. Ordered 2 x main meals from the menu. When presented with the bill I drew it to the attention of the server that I had been charged full price. I was told that the £1 deal was for a seperate menu. I was only given one type of menu and at ordering nothing was explained by the waiter. We ordered steak pie and a pizza, nothing fancy so I am curious to see what items qualify for the £1 deal. I will never know as i was never given the special £1 menu and I will never be back now! Perhaps staff should take time to explain any offers and highlight the specials of the day too. The food was OK and for the price paid, didn't come close to similarly priced meals elsewhere.

Myself and my family dined here on a Saturday night. Service was good and on the whole the meals were ok apart from the chips clearly being frozen ones. I would expect more for the prices. Also i asked my server if the salad came with chips or potatoes and was told "no, but there is a lot of eating in them". My salad duly arrived and it consisted of two types of lettuce leaves, one anaemic looking cheap tomato-quartered, two slices of cucumber and prawns in the middle. This was absolutely not with the £8:45 they charged for it. The sauce was tasteless and the prawns chewy-clearly those cheap little frozen prawns, not fresh ones. A complete disappointment and the only reason I never complained there and then is my husband didn't want me to and I would have been reluctant accepting anything out if the kitchen had I complained. For the same price I know I would have a far better meal for my money in other establishments.

We have been here a few times during the day for lunch and never fails to impress. Must admit I'm partial to the mixed fajitas! They are cracking and value for money. The staff are friendly and help create a good atmosphere. Pleasant place where you can go to enjoy a quality bite to eat and not break the bank. Well worth a visit.

Bought a Groupon deal n have to say worth every penny! Have eaten at the Clubhouse many times and always had a great meal, was pleased to see there was no difference to their menu for the deal.Good drink offers and nice staff :-) Will definitely be back, with or without further deal!!!
