Le Restaurant @ Campanile Glasgow Airport in South Lanarkshire

We booked 2 nights at the Campanile to attend an event at the SEC and have a special birthday few drinkies along the way. Hotel tired, basic and clean. Not too bad for the money and location. The restaurant however, could do with a happier and more customer focussed team. Not once did we see a smile, hear a greeting (apart from the girl at breakfast), feel any form of enthusiasm or even genuine apologetic gestures from any staff at all. It's the Boyzone weekend and yes, we are not idiots, we have worked in hospitality, bars and restaurants for many years so, do actually know what we are talking about, we get that it's busy and people need served and bookings need to be made but not once did anyone ask if we would like to make a reservation for a table to have some dinner (still hungry) for later on. All the guy said was, if you haven't reserved a table, "it's gonna be at least after 8 when you get anything to eat". No offer to take a note of our names for a table or a suggestion to maybe have a drink in the bar until a table is available or even a "sorry" for not being able to accommodate us. The 3 guys on duty look so fed up, unhappy and run off their feet it is almost embarrassing. Surely to goodness, a busy hotel constitutes a busy bar and restaurant. My words of advice would be to keep morale high, motivate and recruit people who are actually happy to work!!!! Very unimpressed. 😡👎

While we was waiting for flight we decided to have some munching time! I would say food was delicious, price was reasonable! When it comes down to food they bring it to your table but if it's drinks we talk about you have to manage yourself- keep in my you have your handbag in one hand and drinks in other hand trying to not spill it while getting to your table. So for that reason 4 out of 5*

Pensamos que un rollo de tocino que dio en el clavo antes de volar a Alicante. 3,95 libras por bacon cocido sobre un rollo y mantequilla oh, no estamos tan displicentes!!!

En mi primera noche tuve una culata bistec que estaba muy bien, un poco exageradas como lo pedí por medio raro y fue más moderado. Segunda noche pedí pescado que era un error. El Filete de pescado congelado en pasta no tenía sabor. No comer allí de nuevo

Me he alojado en el hotel Campanile tuve mi cena en Le restaurante. El menú era bastante básica en cuanto a variedad, pero adecuados para una 'overnighter"'.. sin embargo la comida era deliciosa, bien presentada y bien preparados. El ambiente de la zona del restaurante era un poco sombrío para mi gusto, pero eso es puramente subjetiva, objetivamente que sirve su propósito como los hoteles/restaurante/bar público, es limpio y funcional.

El restaurante del hotel en el hotel Campanile ofrece un menú estándar de noche: hamburguesas, filetes, etc. a precios de ganga. No esperes maravillas gastronómicas en este precio - el bistec era bastante difícil, pero se obtiene la conveniencia de no coger el coche. El desayuno continental fue muy generoso, zumo, cereales, carnes frías y quesos y pan tostado. No hay café fresco en mi tiempo, pero creo que era mala suerte.

We relaxed atmosphere for drinks before and return from night out in city centre. Friendly staff and great breakfast.

I do have to say that when my wife said to me that we could eat in the Hotel (Campanile) at Glasgow Braehead I had dire visions of meals taken at Campanile Hotels in the 90's where it was all a bit cheap and not so cheerful! How wrong was I! GONE is the smorgasborg (or buffet!) in are good quality dishes that are well prepared and served by cheerful staff - YES we paid over £40 for the meal BUT this included 3 courses and wine SO was not badly priced! I am now quite happy to say that I would return JUST for the food and service... Try it you will NOT be disappointed!
