Really warm welcome, amazing food (been several times....pizza is fabulous) and good choice of soft drinks. One of our favourite places in our home town.

We booked 2 nights at the Campanile to attend an event at the SEC and have a special birthday few drinkies along the way. Hotel tired, basic and clean. Not too bad for the money and location. The restaurant however, could do with a happier and more customer focussed team. Not once did we see a smile, hear a greeting (apart from the girl at breakfast), feel any form of enthusiasm or even genuine apologetic gestures from any staff at all. It's the Boyzone weekend and yes, we are not idiots, we have worked in hospitality, bars and restaurants for many years so, do actually know what we are talking about, we get that it's busy and people need served and bookings need to be made but not once did anyone ask if we would like to make a reservation for a table to have some dinner (still hungry) for later on. All the guy said was, if you haven't reserved a table, "it's gonna be at least after 8 when you get anything to eat". No offer to take a note of our names for a table or a suggestion to maybe have a drink in the bar until a table is available or even a "sorry" for not being able to accommodate us. The 3 guys on duty look so fed up, unhappy and run off their feet it is almost embarrassing. Surely to goodness, a busy hotel constitutes a busy bar and restaurant. My words of advice would be to keep morale high, motivate and recruit people who are actually happy to work!!!! Very unimpressed. 😡👎

We've always found the Rad Hotel Group to be first class when we've eaten in any of their establishments in the past, but not on this occassion. First of all we had a drinks order taken by a young lady that looked like she didn't want to be there, we ordered a glass of wine and a 'J2O', but there was no mention of the type of wine that they had to offer or the size of the glass and it was the same for me she just appeared with a mixed fruit version, I was never asked which flavour I wanted. The restaurant knew that we were looking to order a 'GF' meal, but a menu never appeared and we had to ask for it which didn't seem to go down very well with the young lady. The place was very busy and very noisy and we had to wait quite some time before the food appeared, but when it did it was delicious. Another problem that we found was that the adjoining bar was bursting at the seams and was even louder and people were congregating at the exit of the restaurant. When we finally left the restaurant I had to ask the offending party to stand to one side to let us out, then when we made our way to the car a fight broke out and doormen had to intervene. We will definitely no eat there again in the future.
