Pedro y Eyssel han traído un alimento básico venezolano tradicional a Belfast (arepas) y son increíbles: si no has probado Arepas antes, es una experiencia que no se puede perder, su comida sabe increíble y recomiendo este lugar.

There aren't many small town pubs left, but Drumbo Pub fits the description to a tee. Always a great friendly atmosphere, hard working staff and great food. The fresh hand cut fries and homemade burgers are not to be missed. Prices are the best around by far, the value is amazing!

The food here was absolutely beautiful. Portion sizes were fantastic and the quality was top shelf. Service was good too. Because the venue is within the House Proud home decor store it us a little cold to sit in, I had broice French toast with bacon, eggs and maple syrup. My sister had a filled soda and boy was it filled. For the portion sizes and food quality the prize was very good.

Small man was threatened by a tall woman so decided to start calling me a man, when I decided to retaliate and comment on his height the bouncer decided that the four people in my group were no longer customers. One bouncer was very kind and understanding and I appreciate their service but customers and bouncers overall mean that I would not recommend this location to visitors in Belfast.

Booked for a group celebration (about 20 of us). Food was delicious: from the poached pear and stilton rocket salad, the steak was tender and flavoursome (I recommend asking for rare if you want a medium rare though). Also, there were no vegetables whatsoever with the steak dish- only fries, but they kindly brought over a generous and tasty vegetable side, on the house. The desserts were incredible- the highlight of the cuisine. The tonka cheesecake with rum ice-cream, and vanilla bean berry crumble were both incredible.

In the heart of the Cathedral Quarter Belfast, we decided to have lunch at Waterman on Hill Street. Waterman is a restaurant that's either the result of a fever dream or a chef with an alarming disregard for convention. I found myself perched at a table so close to my neighbours I could practically taste their cologne, surrounded by decor that was clean and neutral with groovy lounge music. As if to cement its status as the fever dream of a food-obsessed madman, this establishment has a cookery school perched above like some gastronomic Hogwarts, and yes, Waterman really is magic! We opted for small plates, because apparently, full-sized portions are passé, according to she who will be obeyed. A Spanish Verdejo from Rueda at £36 promised to numb the senses should things go south. It didn't disappoint, though at that price, I'd expect it to also do my taxes. The local queenie scallops with seaweed butter arrived, fresh and beautifully presented. It’s so refreshing to see these local queen scallops as a special on the menu. Perfectly cooked and eaten from the shell like oysters, they were deeply flavourful with soft waves of the sea, so delicious that I found myself ordering another plate, my dining companion's raised eyebrow be damned. Parmesan arancini followed, a crispy exterior giving way to a creamy risotto centre that was positively indecent. The truffle mayo alongside was less of a condiment and more of a dare. "How much luxury can you handle?" it seemed to taunt. My wife's crab and chilli spaghetti were a hit, though I suspect she was just relieved it wasn't another small plate masquerading as a main. But the real showstopper was the fried squid and Bolognese – a combination so outlandish it shouldn't work, and yet it did. Crispy, fresh squid perched atop a slow-cooked ragu that had clearly been simmering since the dawn of time. It was as if the sea and the farmyard had engaged in an illicit affair, and this was their love child. The young student waiting staff, likely earning their degrees in the subtle art of plate-juggling and wine-pouring, managed to create a laidback vibe that belied the serious cooking happening in the kitchen. It's a place where you can watch your table neighbour’s date implode while simultaneously savouring flavours that make you question everything you thought you knew about food. For dessert, a pannacotta with rhubarb arrived, layered like a geological cross-section of deliciousness. A white chocolate crunch on top added texture, though I found myself wishing for more of the creamy pannacotta beneath. It was good but left me feeling like Oliver Twist – wanting more, please. In the end, this restaurant is a culinary rollercoaster – thrilling, and had us reaching for the menu for more, leaving us with an inexplicable desire to go again. Just don't come expecting a quiet, romantic, private dining experience. Unless, of course, your idea of romance involves eavesdropping on strangers while wrestling with the moral implications of squid-bolognese fusion. Either way, I’ll be back. Pass the Verdejo!

In a modest corner of the city, unpretentiously nestled among a row of late-night eateries, one discovers City Kitchen—a humble yet resplendent haven for lovers of the kebab. Rarely does one stumble upon a place so unassuming in appearance, yet so rich in culinary reward. The culinary experience it offers, in fact, borders on revelatory. From the moment one enters, there is a palpable warmth to the ambiance. The faint sizzle from the grill, the aroma of perfectly spiced meats mingling in the air—it all conjures an almost intoxicating invitation to indulge. But it is the pièce de résistance, the doner kebab, that merits particular praise. Served with a masterful layering of thinly sliced, tender meat, each bite offers an immaculate balance of flavors. The meat itself—juicy and imbued with an unmistakable infusion of spices—is a testament to the skill of the chefs who prepare it. Every slice is tantalizingly succulent, with just the right hint of crispiness on the edges that speaks of careful, measured grilling. The bread, freshly prepared, adds to the experience with a delicate chew that complements the kebab's texture impeccably. The sauces, too, are thoughtfully curated; a rich garlic sauce provides a subtle creaminess, while a tangy chili option imparts a refreshing kick. The freshness of accompanying vegetables—crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and thinly sliced red onions—bring brightness to the plate, balancing the rich, spiced meat with a satisfying crunch. City Kitchen’s doner kebab is, quite simply, an achievement. Far beyond mere street food, it reaches heights that could rival any gourmet dish in its category. One could hardly have anticipated such an exceptional dining experience in such an unassuming location, yet City Kitchen proves that greatness in cuisine is often found in the most unexpected places. This was, without exaggeration, the culinary experience of a lifetime—an unforgettable encounter that promises a lasting impression. For those seeking a kebab to die for, look no further than City Kitchen.

Really disappointed with this hotel for the money we paid. The room was not luxurious as advertised it was dirty with very stained carpets. They failed to inform us they were doing construction work which went on from early morning till late. If we knew we wouldn’t have booked. The view was a wasteland and not nice at all to look at. The bar and restaurant were closed so couldn’t use. I raised my concerns but had no response!
