The best restaurants serving Other european-cuisines food in Uttlesford East of England

Travelling from Yorkshire to fly out of Stanstead on our annual holiday we were looking for somewhere to enjoy a nice relaxing meal before checking in. We made a reservation at the Pig and Truffle and we were very impressed with our experience. The staff were extremely accommodating and despite a quiet day, due to the England final we were catered for and cared for with a very impressive meal that was truly delicious. Thank you ever so much for a thoroughly enjoyable meal in a lovely setting with excellent service.

Excellent meal, good service and lovely environment. Hassan the chef consistently produces a great menu - we have never had a bad experience here. Last night I had the scallops and my husband had the Asparagus to start, followed by fillet steak with fresh vegetables and saute potatoes - all cooked to perfection and very flavoursome. Excellent food - all made from scratch and even the deserts are all made on site - none of the mass manufactured pre-prepared rubbish that so many other restaurants seem happy to serve their customers. Good value for money too and decent wine list.

The Grill room always has a nice atmosphere. My Mum and I find it to be A La Carte but relaxed which is a nice mix. The food is delicious, we’ve never had a bad meal. I had the Potato Gratin with baby parsnips (vedgy option) this time and it was delicious. The Chef very kindly did my Mum a chicken option, as she couldn’t eat the other options and she really enjoyed it. Presentation and portion size is very good. Reasonably priced for the quality. When we stay at the hotel we always eat in the Grill room and if we were more local we’d eat here more often.

Rating as Kings. Food delivered cold, part of the order missing, and refused to return call to resolve. Won’t be going back.

Excellent service, amazing place!

Bad/rude service, tasteless food, ridiculous prices. Extremely slow service despite lots of staff. Just really bad…. Couldn’t wait to leave.
