The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Lowlands

We quite often stop by here for lunches at work. Really great enterprise and a great addition to the town. Great food and fabulous tray bakes.

Popped in for tea and scones (had heard they were nom-tastic) and was NOT disappointed. Fantastic scones, superb individual pots of tea and really relaxing and helpful staff. Will definitely be going back, hopefully on a regular basis as we were made to feel right at home. In addition, all the craft items on display are available to purchase and I'm torn between a few of them....so I'll need to go back and choose...over a few more visits 😎

Went here while on a golf trip. Great bar with fantastic staff. Can’t do enough for you. Ended up here both nights. Brilliant. 👍🏻👍🏻

Excellent good and service, dog friendly, light spacious cafe. We had jacket potatoes, toasties and delicious homemade cawl with cheese and bread rolls. Then Upton Farm ice cream!

With family we visited the Sylvania Community Cafe and we’re delighted Great atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff team Value for money prices I thoroughly enjoyed beans on toast which were delicious Tea was perfect - Yorkshire Tea We were served by Ruby who really made us feel welcome and we’ll be back very soon If you need a few groceries a newspaper or some sweets or biscuits pop in and chill with a cuppa and some chat Thank you

The food was so lovely and great value for money.. and the people are very friendly. Will definitely be visiting again and absolutely recommend!

i just love these places the coffee is just lush so would recomend as the staff in here were lovely asweel as the last one i was in that was in dumfries

We popped in here for some breakfast before heading home. The staff were lovely and the menu had a good variety to choose from. The food was very tasty and portions were very generous at very reasonably prices compared to other places around, we definitely will pop in again when we're back in the area!

Fantastic. 2.35 for 4 cookies is a bargain and they were delicious. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Really tasty drinks. Especially the nostalgic hot vimto. Even better being served by a friendly barrista with a smile 😃

The owners are amazing and friendly, the food is incredible wither you’re sitting in for a cuppa or lunch the service is amazing, like me I always get takeaway and they always ask how you are and engage in friendly conversation and always make you feel welcoming. Would 1 million percentage recommend Jinny’s Tearoom. 5* owners and 5* food Malcolm

About 4 years ago, we literally fell upon this little Oasis on the A75 . I have a gluten intolerance and was.pretty much expecting the typical response to my "do you do Gluten free food" to be yip we've got Tasteless flapjack ....but my delight they had quite an extensive selection of amazing food ...and this was complimented by an excellent owner and brilliant staff ...and that's why each year we go down that way we make a point of going .. and again each time we are never disappointed..... I certainly recommend it.

Outstanding place. Immaculately clean, Friendly staff. I took my mum here for the first time for a spot of lunch and we will definitely be back. The food was freshly prepared and plenty of choice. We had a hot chocolate and a club sandwich which was beautiful presented and served by a really friendly member of staff. We purchased a couple slices of cake to take home and they were delicious. This place is fantastic and we are already planning our return visit.

Excellent B&B with fabulous hosts, Jackie & John. We were a family of 3 adults staying for 3 nights in the 2 available bedrooms. Both rooms were spotless, comfortable, very well presented with very comfortable beds and good quality bedding. The rooms are en-suite with large walk in showers with plenty of hot water. If you are looking to stay in the area then my advice would be to book the Crown & Anchor as our experience was 100% positive. We couldn’t find fault with anything. The location is stunning and so peaceful. Breakfasts were delicious as was the food we had from the tea rooms downstairs. Jackie’s homemade Victoria sponge is to die for. We were made to feel so welcome and would book here again if we were to return to Dumfries and Galloway. Jackie and John, thank you both so much for making our holiday so enjoyable x
