Was staying with family for few days and they recommended having Sunday lunch here. Very popular so had to park in street. Told that pub was full but could have roast in a box in garden room. Wasn't expecting much but when got to garden room it was amazing. Nice outdoor undercover bar and then huge marquee with sofas, tables, patio heaters, nice atmosphere and very busy. A really nice venue and a nice vibe. Friendly staff and food - roast in a box arrived quickly. Good portion size and food was good. We ordered beef - well cooked and very tasty but no Yorkshire pudding. Guests who ordered the chicken got Yorkshire pudding with theirs. When we mentioned this to lady who cleared plates she was very apologetic and said you should have had Yorkshire pudding with the beef, will tell the chef, he must have forgotten to put one on, so sorry. Came back and offered us option of bringing some Yorkshire pudding and gravy or offered us both a complimentary dessert instead. Now that is good customer service We accepted the desserts and they were very nice - toffee and honeycomb cheesecake and chocolate fudge cake. Both very nice. A great lunch, good food, great atmosphere, friendly staff, reasonable prices. Would go back and would recommend. A great find. Thank you

We had a table booked for Christmas dinner, We had paid £100 deposit for 4 of us for a 3pm sitting, When we arrived they were running late (that's ok that happens) But then people were saying they had been waiting for 2 hrs for their main course, People were complaining constantly, 1 poor family were sat in the bar with garden tables and some dog had sat under their table!!! When we got to our table it was a table for 8 (as their was only 4 of us it was like social distancing again) The table had no table cloth, no napkins, no glasses, not even cutlery, The table still had food all over it and was sticky! When the starters came out pâté looked like dog food, and the king prawn cocktail was served in a Gordon's gin glass with 3 prawns The waitress just threw down 2 spoons and went to walk away I asked her for more cutlery and the bottle of fizz were meant to get Again it was just poor At this point we decided were not paying anymore money for this, I asked the waitress for our deposit back as this wasn't what was sold to us (she burst into tears and walked off When the lady who owns the pub appeared she wasn't helpful she just asked me to leave We were anyway! Just want to say it wasn't just us their was 3 other family's complaining and 2 family's that were waiting to be seated were looking for other venues at late notice, I've had a private msg from another family said they ended up doing the same as us, So avoid for Christmas dinner at all costs!!!!

Got a tea and cappuccino and thought about getting a mince pie and decided against it at nearly 3 quid for one, sure you can get 2 packs of the same mince pies for that much! Think the large cappuccino was about 3 and a half quid and was most places regular size. On the plus side staff seemed ok. These companies need to give their heads a shake and stop trying to have our pants down with the prices and portion sizes
