Such a disappointing experience. Very expensive (£11 for soup and one slice of bread which didn't come with any butter) and even more money for a "hotpot" which was saag aloo. The saag also was basically overcooked potato, which was absolutely tasteless with hardly any spinach and, again, a small slice of bread with no butter (many vegan butters could have been provided!).

We came with friends as we had all been gifted afternoon tea, and chose to visit this tearoom. We booked just over a week in advance. What a great choice! A great selection of beautifully fresh finger sandwiches, scones, cream and jam. and a selection of small cakes, which were so light. Absolutely scrumptious. We weren't rushed, so we could sit and enjoy our food. The folk working in the tearoom were very welcoming and we had a delightful afternoon. Thank you!

Christmas lunch for 15 all served at the same time, all hot, all delicious. Staff friendly and courteous. Special dietary requirements catered for. Thoroughly recommend.

We initially popped in for a drink before dinner, but the lovely person behind the bar was so friendly, the beer was excellent, the food looked good so we booked for dinner for a few days later. My husband had the pork belly, which he thoroughly enjoyed, and I had the most wonderful leek, mushroom and goat cheese risotto ever. We totally recommend The Giant Inn, both as a pub and a restaurant.
