We always have Supper at this hotel on the Upper Deck when we are staying in St Mawes. Ben and his team are so friendly and very efficient too. Ben is a great Manager with a great sense of humour. He and his team always have time to spend with us and this makes a difference to our time spent in the Restaurant. The food is very good and the presentation too. So pleased the menu will be changed at the end of this week. See you soon. Best wishes Angela and Geoff

We attended a family wedding at the hotel and stayed for the weekend. Everything about our stay was superb. Our room was comfortable and beautifully decorated. The food was excellent at dinner, breakfast and for the wedding meal. What made our stay extra special were the staff and manager Joe who were efficient, attentive, patient and super friendly. Highly recommended.

Don't really like to bad leave reviews but I was quite shocked at this one! Came in on a Saturay evening and the place was empty. There was a Frecnh man dominating the place, and some loud locals, they have a beer menu but dont serve any of it, no guiness, no draft apart from Thatchers which was served in a mucky glass... No food being served, had ran out of everything I asked for , ran out of all bar snacks, was sold crisps which were out of date... The place was cold with no atmosphere, we live in St Mawes and whoever owns this pub really nees to learn about the trade and to look after their locals. We felt embarssed on their behalf, the place was dead and the wine is cheap. asked for a coke which was a can an then charge twice the price, no juices, no coffee the place is useless! . We want the old owners back who knew how to run a business!
