The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Lansdown Cheltenham South West

Popped in today for a hot chocolate with my partner. Cute decorations and the cafe itself has a lovely atmosphere. The hot chocolates were lovely and the barista making them, Calise was great and extremely polite and welcoming. Sadly, the same can't be said for her colleague, Carl. Carl was rude to my partner whilst he was ordering and he behaved in a despicable manner to Calise in front of customers. This makes you wonder how he talks to her when customers aren't there if he is so brazenly rude and acting in a bullying manner in front of people. He was snapping at her, condescending and when she asked a genuine question about marshmallows on a drink, he told her that she should know the answer as the item has been around long enough. Calise gets 5 stars from me, especially as she continued to act professional throughout the experience even though it was clear he was intimidating and upsetting her. She even offered to bring the drinks to my table for me which was lovely and appreciated. Carl gets a 1 star as the way he was acting was completely unacceptable and reflects very badly on the establishment. I'd recommend senior management have a word with him to ensure he doesn't continue in this manner and treat people, especially his colleagues, so poorly.

Visited here a few times in the past I've had good food and service but things have really gone downhill. The food today was okay but not amazing. The bagels were pretty chewy, so the fillings all fell out when I tried to eat it. I could forgive that if the prices hadn't gone up to £11.50 for one bagel! The worst part of the experience was definitely the service though. It was 25 mins between arriving at the store and leaving with a single bagel. Definitely not a quick fix. Between the average food, increasing prices and terrible service, I can't see a repeat visit on the horizon unfortunately.

Was always a decent spot for a relaxed coffee, but the mouldy windows on the entire first floor are off-putting. They desperately need to be replaced or, at the very minimum, cleaned and painted.

We really enjoyed our lunch here today, good value and portion sized Haddock, chips and peas for £9.50. Well priced drinks and cakes, pleasantly designed clean looking cafe. Not bad choices on the menu, friendly helpful staff. Would definitely eat here again.
